Let's all admit it… dads are SO hard to buy for.

They never really ask for anything, and usually end up with 47 ties and vests whenever a gifting opportunity arises.

However, Father's Day is on the horizon, and we want to make sure all the fab dads out there get something bloody good.

Here's a list of what we think your dad will love.

4. Pamper him.

One thing dads never seem to do is buy themselves fancy skincare – so we should for them. L'Homme Cologne Cedrat After Shave Gel Cream is the business, just sayin'.

If you've been on Instagram lately, one trend that keeps popping up is fishnet tights.

Once the exclusive territory of fans of alternative dressing, fishnet tights burst onto the scene thanks to the likes of the Kardashians and their penchant for the underwear-as-outerwear trend.

It's pretty easy for the Kardashian clan to get it right, seeing as they have a team of stylists on hand to assist their fashion choices every time they leave the house, but what about us mere mortals?

Here's a few tips straight from Instagram on how to rock the fishnet trend:

1. Under ripped jeans

This is probably the most Instagrammed way to wear the textured tights.

If you're thinking of taking the plunge, make sure to opt for a baggier cut of jeans to showcase the fishnets to their full potential.

You can go for massive rips to make the fishnets the star of the show, or keep it to regular knee rips for a flash of fishnet detailing.

2. Under normal jeans

A post shared by @tothe.9s on

Fishnets can look really cool with normal, non-ripped jeans too, as a way to update your favourite denims.

The tights can be pulled up to rest under your bust, and if you're wearing jeans and a crop top, this can be a unique way to add interest to the bare mid-section between the hem of the top and the waist of the jeans.

3. As a stand alone statement

Treating the fishnets as normal tights is definitely they easiest way to style them.

Opt for a jumper and skirt to add edge to a simple outfit, or pair the fishnets with a super girly dress and tough biker boots for the ultimate girly-meets-grunge ensemble.

4. On the ankle area only

A post shared by adikastyle (@adikastyle) on

If you're not a fan of the tights but still want in on the fishnet trend, you can try a pair of fishnet socks.

The socks look really cool when teamed with runners and slouchy jeans, or peeping out of the top of ankle boots. Just be sure to wear a pair of pop socks with them to avoid ripping the heel.

You can snap up a pair for the bargain price of €1.13 from La Moda

Fishnet is the ultimate stylish hack to update a transitional wardrobe, so rock it whatever way you'd like.

Sometimes, comfort food is all that can cure us after a bank holiday of gin and tonics.

Dining out on carbs or ordering a takeaway are the only ways to salvage a day lost to the aftermath of a heavy night, and there are a few food that hit the spot every time.

5. A delicious toasted sandwich

Carbs are what is needed on days like today, and while we have the weather for it, dining al fresco is very appealing right now.

Metro Cafe on South William Street has a selection of completely delish sandwiches, as well as an outdoor seating area complete with blankets to swaddle yourself in when the hangover gets to be tto much.

We definitely recommend the hot prosciutto melt, which layers parma ham, vine tomatoes, mozzarella, freshly torn basil and extra virgin olive oil all served on a perfectly toasted ciabatta. Yum!

4. A bubble waffle

There are few things in this world as glorious and life altering as a mound of cream, ice cream, sauce, sprinkles and strawberry Pocky wrapped up in a delicious bubble waffle.

The Bubble Waffle stall is at Dublin's Eatyard, and their cone-shaped confectionery treats are what dreams are made of.

The treats take their inspiration from the street food of Hong Kong, and describe themselves as creating "a bubble waffle, filled with ice cream, fruit, sprinkles, and any topping you can dream of, all so it looks like a cone." *drools*

The @bubblewafflefactory at @eatyard was almost too cute to eat. Almost. #yummydublin #eatyard#bubblewaffle #foodie #foodporn #yum

3. Pizza, obviously

Pizza is completely necessary when hungover, and that is a fact.

Firehouse Pizza, Base and Dominos are all classics.

2. Mac'n'cheese

Again with the carbs.

There are few things more perfect in this world that a big bowl of pure cheesy, carby goodness, aka mac'n'cheese.

Galway's Biteclub slays when it comes to the stuff, so order it if you're hangover resides in the west.

1. A burger

A juicy burger with a side of fries, sweet potato fries in particular, really hits the spot when it comes to hangover feasting.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen kills it every time with their delicious servings, and we have a hankering for one right now…

Game of Thrones fans, prepare for some immense enjoyment.

Two of the show's most beloved characters, whose on-screen romance sadly ended in tragedy have reunited at the Iron Throne.

Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa took to Instagram to share a very dramatic shot in front of what looks like a cut-out of the iconic throne.

A post shared by @emilia_clarke on

Jason is holding Emilia in his arms in an attempt at 'the lift' from Dirty Dancing.

'FYI…This is the closest you’ll ever get to me attempting 'that lift' from dirty dancing.'

'Id like to take a moment to thank alcohol for giving me courage to attempt this. Ever,' Emilia captioned the post.

Jason also posted a sweet snap of himself and Emilia, and the pair are obviously besties off-screen.

'Moon of my life @emilia_clarke every time I leave you my face hurts from smiling to much. I Fucking love you forever. Aloha,' he wrote.

Bestie goals, tbh.

Sometimes you just can’t beat curling up in bed with a good book, whether that’s your old tattered copy of Bridget Jones's Diary that you’ve had since you were a teen or a shiny new copy of the latest best-selling thriller.

Reading is good for the soul, and it looks like it may actually be good for our health too with one study revealing that people who read live longer than those you don’t.

According to a team of researchers at the Yale School of Public Health, bookworms tend to live longer lives.

Their study looked at the reading habits of over 3,000 adults. The team discovered that people who read for over three hours each week lived two years more than those who didn't.

Of the 3,600 participants, those who read frequently had higher life expectancies.

Lead author of the study, Anvi Bavishi said: “We believe that reading books engages the brain more than magazines or newspapers, and it's cognitive engagement that extends your life.”

Reading has a plethora of benefits, from boosting intelligence to improving your sleeping habits.

It can also help lower your stress levels, which will boost your health. Experts believe that stress plays a part in up to 60 percent of health issues, like stroke and anxiety.

However, reading a book can help lower your stress levels dramatically. One study found that picking up a book can reduce stress by a whopping 68 percent. In the study conducted by the University of Sussex, researchers found that reading worked as a form of escapism from reality and your worries.

“This is more than merely a distraction but an active engaging of the imagination, as the words on the printed page stimulate your creativity and cause you to enter what is essentially an altered state of consciousness,” said Dr. David Lewis.

We all know that green tea is exceptionally good for the body and soul.

Enriched with anti-oxidants for clear skin, and metabolism-boosting properties, it's no wonder it's such a popular beverage.

According to new research, a compound found in green tea has been linked to major heart-healthy benefits.

'Scientists have discovered that a compound found in green tea, currently being studied for its ability to reduce amyloid plaques in the brain in Alzheimer's disease, also breaks up and dissolves potentially dangerous protein plaques found in the blood vessels,' reads the study.

So, while scientists were researching green tea's benefits to brain health, they came across this unforeseen heart benefit too.

The research published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, scientists from the University of Leeds and Lancaster University found that an ingredient in green tea called EGCG can dissolve dangerous arterial plaque, and could actually prevent heart attacks.

'The health benefits of green tea have been widely promoted and it has been known for some time that EGCG can alter the structures of amyloid plaques associated with Alzheimer's disease,'  David Middleton, a professor of chemistry at Lancaster University told Bustle.

'Our results show that this intriguing compound might also be effective against the types of plaques which can cause heart attacks and strokes.'

So, we're adding green tea bags to our shopping lists ASAP.

In Friends, Phoebe and Rachel nearly lost their minds when Monica let them decide who would be her maid of honour.

The pair lied, auditioned and did everything in their power to win, but in the end, Rachel proved that she would be the perfect maid of honour for Monica.

And it looks like Jennifer Aniston has followed in her character's footsteps as the actress is going to be former co-star Courtney Cox’s maid of honour.

Courtney is set to marry Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid in the coming months. The actress gushed about Jennifer admitting that she "wouldn't want to walk down the aisle" with anyone else.

It is understood that the pair has grown even closer since their time on the show: “Courtney and Jennifer are as thick as thieves and they have got even closer in recent months,” a source shared.

They added: “Courteney wouldn't want to walk down the aisle without Jennifer by her side. They have a very strong friendship."

Courtney has been a huge support to Jennifer since she split up with Justin Theroux back in February.

Their friendship has only grown stronger since the end of Friends in 2004.

Courtney and Johnny McDaid are set to have two wedding ceremonies, one in Derry and another in California.

It is understood that the ceremony in Northern Ireland will be a “simple and stylish” affair, and the Malibu ceremony will be far more “lavish and posh.”

Courtney and Johnny will reportedly tie the knot this July.

Last week, Ireland voted unanimously to repeal the 8th amendment to the constitution which forces women abroad to access the full spectrum of reproductive healthcare.

While the majority of Dail members were for repealing the 8th, some party members opposed it's removal.

TDs who opposed intend to lobby for a ‘disability amendment’ to be added to the new legislation to prevent abortion access on the grounds of disability.

These TDs want abortion to no longer be an option to women once such conditions are diagnosed.

Minister for Health Simon Harris has signalled he will oppose the move.

'TDs are perfectly entitled to bring amendments but it remains the case that the general scheme does not permit termination on grounds of disability, and nor will the final legislation,' a spokesperson for the Health Minister told BreakingNews.

The Government have committed to providing legal abortion up to 12 weeks for all.

When it comes to dating and looking for love, we all want to present ourselves in the best possible way to a potential lover.

Dating apps and sites have made it seriously easy to tailor the perfect profile that shows what you are like as a person – but does it really?

Kittenfishing is a brand new online dating phenomenon which is plaguing the modern dating scene.

Kittenfishing is when a perspective dater sells themselves on their dating profile a little too well,  through perfectly posed photos that maybe don't show the reality of what they look lie 99 per cent of the time, through rounding up their height or having a helping hand from friends in sending those Tinder replies.

A kittenfisher’s profile is full of filtered or Facetuned photos and funny biographies that don't reflect the humour capabilities of that person IRL.

I mean, it's easy to be hilarious via text when you have a few minutes you think of a response, but that might not translate when you actually meet up.

Hinge, a platform for modern dating advice, found that 38 per cent of men report being kittenfished after meeting an online date for an IRL encounter.

The study also showed that 24 per cent of women feel that have been kittenfished.

However, only two per cent of men and one per cent of women report having kittenfished someone else, so we think there are a few kittens in denial.

While kittenfishing definitely isn't as bad as it's counterpart catfishing, it's still something to be wary of.

'We have to wonder if people think this is harmless or if people do it intentionally,' realtionship expert Nikki Leigh told Bustle.

'They may figure they'll shave a few (or more) years off their age to make themselves seem more attractive to grab a person's attention.'

'Or they may post a picture when they were thinner, so they can get more attention in the beginning.'

'It's sad they don't realise that they aren't doing themselves any favours and they are actually hurting their own chances if they are really looking for a date or love and they are hurting other people.'

Like many an Irish man, Kian Egan is looking forward to the long evenings.

"Last year I went out surfing and I was still in the water at five to twelve. It's just incredible."

The former Westlife singer and dad-of-three has always loved the beaches, and in particular the coastline of his native Sligo.

"We have amazing beaches in Ireland. I remember when I first started travelling around the world, you’d go to different parts of the world and think this isn’t that great really, is it? as an Irish person we have an amazing coastline."

As an avid surfer, Kian is not bluffing about his connection to the sea, and to show it he's teamed up with Coca-Cola Clean Coasts Week. Running from the 1st to the 10th of June, the week encourages communities around the coast of Ireland to "Do good, Feel good" by volunteering to keep our beautiful beaches litter-free.

For Kian, getting involved with Clean Coasts was a no-brainer.

"It’s a natural fit. I’ve noticed over the years that people do get a bit 'lacksidaisy' when it comes to leaving stuff on the beach and not even know what they’re doing, it’s not conscious.

"It’s a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness for someone like myself who loves the beach so much. I’m very environmentalist anyways."

Keeping local beaches clean is something that Kian does all year around.

"When I’m walking along the beach I always try to bring back a few pieces of rubbish. I think that’s such a simple thing to do, it’s a feel good task. I think if we try to spread messages like that around the country then we’ll be doing very well."

It's something that he gets the kids involved in too.

"Whenever I bring them to the beach I always say 'right lads, go find me three pieces of rubbish'. When the tide comes in it picks up that rubbish and it gets brought out to the sea again and that’s where the problem arises in the sea as well."

Kian, whose boys are aged six, three and eight months, sees the beach as a "natural playground".

"My kids have more fun in the beach than they do in the actual playground. You’d find yourself when you go to the beach, feeling happier naturally. I don’ know why it does it, it could be the sea air, the calming of the water.

"In general if people are in bad form and they go for a walk on the beach it cheers them up."

He's been spending a lot more time at the beach recently, since the birth of his third son he's actively stepping away from the limelight.

"I feel like being at home with my children is now important right now. To help them and to raise them especially in the first few years. I love the idea of being around them, cooking their meals and make sure they’re not eating junk too much.

“I feel very privileged to do that. I am very privileged to be about to do that. I know dads that would give so much to be able to do what I do. I want to keep it going for as long as we can."

Married to British singer Jodi Albert, he jokingly calls his three boys "little terrors".

"Having the three boys together is a good thing, cause they’re going to such a little unit. I have an older brother whose the same age gap as my older two and I looked up to him so much.

As for the possibility of one of his sons following in his footsteps, he "wouldn't be completely against it" but he has "a lot of opinions about it".

Completely happy with his dad-at-home dad life, Kian has no current plans to get back in the limelight. As for a Westlife reunion?

"There’s no doubt that there will be one at some stage in the future, but when is the real question. Not for a long time I don’t think."

Excuse us while we go cry in the bathroom.

Coca-Cola Clean Coasts Week runs from the 1st to the 10th June.

Sofia Richie and Scott Disick have reportedly called time on their relationship almost one year after they were first rumoured to be seeing each other.

It's understood that Sofia broke it off after Scott was caught getting close to a mystery woman just days after the couple returned from a romantic holiday to celebrate the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's 35th birthday.

The insider added to E! News: "Her dad got to her and was a major influence. He told her enough is enough and she deserves better than this. He told her to come home and she did.

Happy Birthday babe! Thank you for being you. Love you

A post shared by Sofia Richie (@sofiarichie) on

"She is upset and sad but feels like she had no choice and she couldn't stand for being cheated on and being in such a toxic relationship.

"She is relying on her family for support and they are trying to keep her busy. She is spending her time with them and with her close friends.”

The news comes after Scott's ex, Kourtney Kardashian, said she finally trusts Sophia to be around her children.

A source said at the time: "It helps that Kourtney now trusts Sofia. The kids are allowed to spend time with her. Sofia likes having them and helps Scott. So far, the kids are giving Kourtney good reports about Sofia.

"Sofia has shown over and over again that she is willing to stay with Scott even when things are not great – but Scott is doing well lately. [He] isn't really partying and spends a lot of time with his kids."

“Scott seems fine,” they said. “He even thinks she might change her mind. He isn’t really taking it seriously.”
