Over the past few weeks, there have been a number of reports of people being abused verbally and physically for their public support of voting Yes or No in the upcoming referendum.

Anna Cosgrave, founder of the Repeal Project and vocal activist for women's rights, gave her online followers an example of this abuse.

Uploading a video to her Instagram and Twitter, the Repeal founder highlighted some of the narrative surrounding the opinions of one particular No voter.

Anna maintained the anonymity of the person in the video who hurls abuse at Anna on the street by not showing the woman's face.

'God will punish you, you're the Anti Christ. Tiny little gifts from God ye want to see murdered,'  the woman yelled.

'You dont punish a little child for the sin that the mother couldn't keep the legs closed.'

'We have created a society that advocates this mentality,' Anna wrote when uploading the video.

'It’s not our fault. It’s those that have refused to engage with reality. “ don’t punish the baby when the mother couldn’t keep her legs closed”'

James Kavanagh has a pretty glam life as it is – from his Gucci shoes to his extensive candelabra routine and endless brunching.

However, the online personality just added celebrity bestie to his repertoire, after he hung out with the one and only Taylor Swift.

James landed in Phoenix, Arizona to interview Taylor for Xpose.

Have you always wanted to give something back to an organisation, but could never find the time? Maybe you spent any extra time you did have fretting about how you weren't giving back when instead you could have been helping in a wonderful way – from the comfort of your own couch.

Well, in 2018, Dairygold are here to put an end to that worry with their micro-volunteering campaign which enables volunteers to complete a series of uplifting, and easy-yet-helpful tasks that can be done for organisations anytime, anywhere.

Yes, micro-volunteering is exactly what it sounds like – a way for busy people to help others in the time it takes to wait for a bus or make a morning coffee or enjoy some toast with Dairygold.

And with this in mind you can get directly involved, thanks to their partnering with some amazing organisations to bring you opportunities to do a little good in a little time.

Scroll for details on how to help these six fantastic groups, in just one minute:

Be My Eyes

Be My Eyes connects blind and low vision people via a free app with sighted volunteers who can give them visual assistance through a live video call. Every day, sighted volunteers lend their eyes to solve tasks big and small to help blind and low vision people lead more independent lives.  Be My Eyes’ goal is to make the world more accessible to people who are blind or have a low level of vision. The app means those with blind and low vision can request assistance at any time of the day, from anywhere.

The Cheetah Conservation Fund

Cheetahs are Africa's most endangered big cat. Help the Cheetah Conservation Fund gain a better understanding of their habitat with the Cheetahs of Central Namibia project. The Cheetah Conservation Fund needs volunteer eyes and judgement to help determine the species photographed by their cameras, which will help them better understand the status of wildlife distribution and will ultimately lead to the best use of their limited resources for this vital landscape.

Count Flowers for Bees

You can help Count Flowers for Bees create a flower map of Ireland to help conserve insects who need nectar and pollen, like bees, hoverflies and butterflies. They are gathering information from TCD in Dublin about the abundance and distribution of flowers in Ireland from hundreds of photos which were taken all over Ireland.  They want to identify and count the flowers in these photos, so they need people to volunteer to help with this.

Meitheal Dúchas

Meitheal Dúchas want to preserve and share the national folklore collection of Ireland by asking volunteers to transcribe handwritten pages, when they can, the stories that were collected as part of the Schools’ Collection and are now available on the dúchas.ie website.  They hope that this work will increase community participation in the project and that it will improve the accessibility of the material as well.

Gender in Technology

Gender and Tech Magazines explore how women are represented in the tech world by examining their magazine archive. Volunteers for this project can help by answering short questions about images on the pages within these magazines. The more participation, the better output will be had into understanding the gender gap in a male-dominated industry.

Post Pals

Post Pals is a charity that helps ‘Post a Smile on a Sick Child’s Face’ by encouraging micro-volunteers to send cards, letters, emails and little gifts to seriously ill children and their siblings in the UK. It couldn’t be easier for anyone – of any age to get involved – requires no commitment and costs only a stamp and just minutes of your time.

Ladies, the warm weather has well and truly descended, and we're considering our summer wardrobes.

Knowing the Irish climate, we'll need to stock up on separates that can be worn with sliders and t-shirts and jumpers and tights.

Luckily, the queen of casual but cool Rosie Connolly is offering us up some major style inspiration.

A post shared by Rosie Connolly (@rosieconxxx) on

Utility-style pieces are major this summer, from cargo pants to over-sized bombers.

For summer, we want to nail the look with Rosie's cute H&M skirt.

The cargo-style piece features an oversized pocket detail, as well as an on-trend ring detail sash.

Short cargo skirt €27.99

The skirt is perfect for layering, and we can think of a few new ways to don it.

First, we're loving Rosie's white jumper and runners combo.

For our holidays, we would add a white bandeau, loads of gold jewellery and the strappiest of statement heels for a night on the Spanish tiles.

When the weather takes a turn for the worst, we'll be going for a black turtleneck jumper tucked in an our staple black booties, or rocking black over-the-knee boots.

Happy shopping gals.

So unless you've spent the day under a large rock, you will have been spammed with countless images from last night's Met Gala.

The theme of the event was 'Heavenly Bodies' – a tribute to Andrew Bolton’s brilliant exhibition, which displays fashion inspired by Catholicism, as well as never-before-seen treasures from the Vatican archives.

And while the celebrity contingent were decked out in religious-esque attire, one particular attendee stole the show.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan attended the Met Gala, and was papped on the arm of Donatella Vesace, Amal Clooney, and even Anna Wintour.

We can't deny, from the moment we saw Cardinal Dolan's smiling face – we were intrigued.

So, we did a bit of research, to find out how a man of the cloth gets himself invited to the hottest party of the year.

Timothy Michael Dolan is an American cardinal prelate of the Catholic Church. Appointed by Pope Benedict XVI, Dolan serves as the tenth and current Archbishop of New York.

Dolan is widely known for his conservative values and charismatic media personality, and was named by Time as one of the "100 Most Influential People in the World" for 2012.

Anyway, we're not entirely sure who invited the Cardinal to the Gala, but were sure he was there representing the religious element.

Looked like he had a fab night!

When we think of our weekend rituals, brunch is a sacred custom observed by gal (and guy) pals up and down the country.

Dublin is known for it's decadent eateries and hipster cafes, serving brunch until late throughout the weekend, but it may surprise you to hear that one of the city's newest and most popular hot spots has just recently introduced a brunch menu.

George's Street's No LIta launched their Summer Brunch this weekend, and while you may associate the opulent, New York style late bar with after-work drinks or nights out, the crew know exactly how to throw a boozy brunch.

The new menu was carefully honed over a number of months, after No LIta received a swathe of feedback from patrons requesting that they host a brunch.

It's no surprise that frequenters of the establishment would want to spend their afternoons as well as their evenings in the three-story saloon.

Boasting a cocktail menu that would make The Dead Rabbit quiver, the interiors of the bar are simultaneously sumptuous and modern.

The lower floor plays host to a covetable parquet, furnished with red leather seating and a proclamation on the wall: 'Good Times at NoLita' situated right beside their enormous woodfire pizza oven (imported from Italy, along with the Michelin starred pizza chefs).'

Once you ascend the sweeping staircase, a sharp left hand turn takes you through to the terrace, which frankly I would move into instantly would I not assume the rent would be astronomical.

High, open ceilings, green leather-coated curved booths and a plethora of plant life bring the outdoors inside, and Kim K herself would proclaim the light flooding the terrace to be 'literally perfect.'

Vast doors oen into the gilded smoking area, littered with botanical printed cushions and yet more leafy vegetation in Grecian planters, situated under a sparking chandelier adjacent to a sweeping, Tanqueray lined bar.

Settling in to the booth, my brunch buddy and I flicked over the cocktail menu, settling on two house favourites, The New York Porn Star and a classic Aperol Spritz to start.

However, our attentions wavered when we clocked the giant silver tub of alcoholic ice-pops sitting on ice at the bar.

The selection includes Vodka and Watermelon, Prosecco and Peach Bellini and Raspberry Frosé, so obviously we had to try them all.

The pops are offered as a dessert option for the brunch menu, or can be nabbed for only €5 quid if you're just there for the booze.

Once the cocktails had been secured and liberally slurped, we turned our attention to the food menu.

While not the most risky menu, all of the classics were present and accounted for – Eggs Benedict, New York Style Pancakes, Superfood salad and the NoLIta Grill, a healthier version of your Sunday fry-up.

For vegetarians, any of the options can be made veggie as every item is made to order. One word for the vegans or lactose intolerant though, there are no speciality milks, just dairy.

A welcome and staunchy addition to the brunch menu are the NoLIta Burger and the Carbonara, for the ravenous or hungover.

We opted to split one of the pizzas from their extensive brunch pizza menu, and went for the Eggs Florentine with a side of truffle fries.

Originally we were angling for a side of truffle fries each, but on the waitresses portion warning, we decided to just order one serving, and thanks to the generous portion definitely weren't left feeling like we could have had more.

The Eggs Florentine came on a bed of perfectly sauteed spinach, with just the right helping of hollandaise.

As for the pizza, you could have eaten the base alone. Thin, crispy and authentically cooked, the layer of cheese and mixed mushrooms merely complimented the divine dough, which I would have happily munched on with a sprinkling of salt, pepper and olive oil.

For our second round of drinks, the Mob Mistress and the Mulberry Street Art were ordered, and while we appreciated all of our cocktails, the Mulberry Street Art stole the show.

Slightly peppery, the cucumber Tanqueray melded with Lillet Blac and St Germain Elderflower Liquor could not have satiated an appetite for a refreshing cocktail more substantially.

If you're looking to treat a pal to brunch in a luxurious, edgy environment without maxing out your credit card, the Summer Brunch at NoLIta is a contender for best brunch in Dublin.

For the month of May, the Dublin 1 establishment is offering a main course and a cocktail for only €16.00, so book yourselves in ASAP.

Oh, and don't forget the alco-icepops.

We were finally treated to some glorious weather over the long weekend.

Thanks to the high temperatures, we flocked to the beach, the local park and to barbeques to embrace that sweet sunshine.

As we waved goodbye to the bank holiday weekend and returned to work, college and school, many of us have been left suffering from some brutal sunburn.

Health experts always stress the importance of wearing sunscreen, especially during the summer months, however, many people tend to neglect their skin and fail to realise just how dangerous sunburn can be.

We all know just how painful sunburn can be so we have gathered up a list of home remedies that will soothe your pain in no time.

1: Sit back and relax in the bath with a good book. Simply add some lavender or chamomile essential oil to your bath and your skin will be sting-free.

2: To soothe that nasty sunburn on your face freeze some cucumbers and then blend them until they form a paste. The cucumber will also help soften your skin when it starts to peel.

3: Always keep some aloe vera at home as it will be your saviour when you or your kiddos are sunburnt. It has strong healing remedies and has often been hailed as the perfect natural remedy for burns.

4: You may not believe this but potatoes can also help ease your pain. Boil and peel the potatoes, and then let them cool. Apparently, the starch in potatoes draws out heat which will help cool your skin and relieve some discomfort.

5: Staying hydrated will speed up your recovery. Your skin is extremely dehydrated when you’re sunburned, so make sure to boost your water intake.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in Ireland and the fifth most common cancer in the United Kingdom.

Protecting your skin is vital and applying sun cream should be part of your daily skincare regime. The home remedies mentioned above may help ease the pain of sunburn, but it is far easier to just protect your skin from the sun.

Experts encourage the public to apply a sunscreen with a good UVA and UVB protection, with a four- or five-star rating and a high SPF, especially from April to September.

Don’t forget to protect your skin this summer!

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will be released in Irish cinemas on July 20, 2018 – and we're excited.

The final trailer for the feel-good movie has just been released and to say that we’re excited is an understatement.

The sequel will see many familiar faces return including Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Christine Baranski and Julie Walters. There have also been new additions to the cast with Lily James starring as Donna (Meryl Streep) during her younger years.

Cher is also joining the star-studded cast as grandmother to Sophie, played by Amanda Seyfried – iconic.

The movie will focus on Sophie’s life as she comes to terms with becoming a mum. It will also feature her mum Donna's early years on the island and her complicated love life.

Fans have expressed their concerns about Streep’s role in the movie, with many fearing the actress’ character has died.

However, Amanda Seyfried recently shared, “You do see her. Meryl is very much a part of this movie.”

We are beyond excited to channel our inner dancing queens in July. We’ll be dancing in the aisles of the cinema and singing along to ABBA’s best hits at the top of our lungs.

No matter how much you might try to plan a birth, fate sometimes has to intervene.

Haley Lindsey was excited and nervous to be nearing the due date with her first baby. But there was one issue, her husband, Brooks, was still deployed overseas with the US army.

Her water broke on Friday morning and Brooks raced to a plane. By the time he landed in Dallas, Haley was 5 centimetres dilated and ready to push.

Brooks had been planning on hopping on the 3.55 flight back to Mississippi, but he was delayed for two hours.

Worried that Brooks might not be present at the birth of his daughter, his mother had a brain wave- why not FaceTime him?

She snook the camera in under her shirt so Brooks could see what was going on. As Haley began to push the doctor realised that they were being recorded and saw Brooks face on the screen.

"Brooks was telling me it was okay, and I was doing so good and I heard him wincing and saying ‘wow!’ through my pushes," Haley told Love What Matters. "I could hear people in the airport talking and cheering!

"Brooks then went on to say that they were making him board and needed to get off as soon as she finally started to crown and all I remember was my Doctor screaming ‘Don’t let him board the flight! She’s here! She’s here!’ So, the airport personnel let him sit there and watch till it was over!"

Sitting on the floor crying, Brooks was snapped by a fellow passenger, whose picture soon went viral.

Eventually, Brooks landed and raced to the hospital to meet the new arrival. Look at how cute they are!

We're so glad that he got to spend some special time with his new baby.
