mamma mia 2

Fresh from her huge successful turn in Mamma Mia 2 – Here We Go Again, the absolute LEGEND that is Cher confirmed that her massive tour will stop in Ireland.

It's her first show in the Emerald Isle in fifteen years, but the Oscar, Emmy and Grammy award-winner will play a sole show at the 3Arena on November 1, 2019, as part of her Here We Go Again Tour.

She will be bringing fans an array of her back catalogue of glorious hits, not to mention tunes from the Dancing Queen album.

The singer has sold over 100 million records, and has been performing for a whopping five decades.

She currently is the holder of the UK record for the biggest selling single of ALL TIME by a woman for her runaway hit song, Believe.

According to the goddess herself;

“I’m very excited to bring this show to the UK. It was the first country to embrace Sonny & Cher, and its where we created and had our first success with ‘Believe’. It’s really my second home.”

Get ready to snatch those tickets like Cher snatches our wigs and sanity, tickets are onsale this Friday December 14 at 10am, for minimum €86.

I have a confession to make… I have seen Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again three times. I know, I know, there are so many incredible movies out at the moment, but there’s something about this cheesy film that I just can’t resist.

Sure, it is pretty cringe-worthy and goofy, but the touching storyline of Sophie and her family trying to cope with the loss of Donna really tugs at your heart strings.

Seeing the adventures of young Donna unfold on screen was really moving and extremely enjoyable because I was madly in love with the three actors playing young Sam, Bill and Harry.

Okay, maybe the main reason I keep going to see this film is Josh Dylan, but it is also the friendship, the setting (take me to Greece now, please) and glorious duo that is Julie Walters and Christine Baranski.

I promised myself I wouldn’t go see the movie a fourth time, however, when I spotted this upcoming event I broke that promise instantly.

The Lighthouse Cinema is hosting a sing-along screening of Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again and I will without a doubt be there singing (badly) along to every single word of every single song.

“One of the most popular films of Summer 2018 returns for a one day only Sing-Along event! Not that you'll need any encouragement singing ABBA songs but feel free to give it loads.”

“Get ready to sing and dance, laugh and love all over again.”

The screening takes place on September 16 and tickets are available here.

This is the dream musical event. What else would you do on a Sunday evening other than sing (badly) along to Waterloo and stuff your face with popcorn?

There are so many things I ADORED about Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again. The feel-good musical inspired by the music of ABBA was everything I wanted and more.

I was surprised by just how good the soundtrack was considering they sang most of ABBA's greatest hits in the original film. However, it's been a week since I first watched the movie and Cher’s version of Fernando is still stuck in my head.

One thing that really stood out for me (apart from young Bill aka the man of my dreams) was the young Donna’s style.

The main focus of the movie was young Donna’s journey from graduate to mum, but I couldn’t help but swoon over her outfits. Her quirky boho style was simple, but striking.

Obviously, we’d never get away with wearing outfits like Donna's here in Ireland- thanks rain- but I thought I’d gather up some of the nicest pieces inspired by young Donna.

Sure, it may not be sunny enough to rock these looks in reality, but you can wear them, stick on the soundtrack and pretend you’re frolocking around a Greek island in the 1970s.

Running into an ex-boyf is one thing, but playing his wife in a movie is another entirely.

This nightmare scenario is what happened to actor Amanda Seyfried when she was filming the sequel to her 2008 hit movie, Mamma Mia!

Amanda, who play's Sophie in the movie, and Dominic Cooper, who plays her on-screen love interest, Sky became a real-life couple after the original movie's release.

Although the duo split up three and a half years later, they still hung out on Amanda's 30th birthday and remained good friends.

Which seems to have worked out well, now that they're back playing a couple again ten year's later.

But how does Amanda's husband, Thomas Sadowski, feel about this?

'Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again' is now in production!

''I think he has the same kind of issues that I would have if we were hanging out with his ex-girlfriend from long ago,” the 32-year-old told The Mirror

“I’d guess he assumed Dominic is in love with me the way he’s in love with me. And it’s just not the case. I’d rather he be jealous than completely fine with it. He’s very supportive and he loves this movie, and [he and Dominic] got along absolutely fine when we were shooting.”

It's a good thing that her hubby isn't too jel because it certainly seems like they're BFF's with Dom posting pictures of Amanda and other cast members to his Instagram.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again will be released in Irish cinemas on July 20, 2018 – and we're excited.

The final trailer for the feel-good movie has just been released and to say that we’re excited is an understatement.

The sequel will see many familiar faces return including Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Christine Baranski and Julie Walters. There have also been new additions to the cast with Lily James starring as Donna (Meryl Streep) during her younger years.

Cher is also joining the star-studded cast as grandmother to Sophie, played by Amanda Seyfried – iconic.

The movie will focus on Sophie’s life as she comes to terms with becoming a mum. It will also feature her mum Donna's early years on the island and her complicated love life.

Fans have expressed their concerns about Streep’s role in the movie, with many fearing the actress’ character has died.

However, Amanda Seyfried recently shared, “You do see her. Meryl is very much a part of this movie.”

We are beyond excited to channel our inner dancing queens in July. We’ll be dancing in the aisles of the cinema and singing along to ABBA’s best hits at the top of our lungs.
