If you are on a low carb or a low calorie diet such as Slimming World or Weight Watchers, chances are bread is among the food you miss the most on a daily basis.

Sandwiches, pizzas or burritos are probably off-limit for you and truth be told, it can get hard to stick to the plan… until now.

Using just natural protein and healthy fibre, an English company has come up with a new kind of fluffy white bread that can be used as base for lots of delicious food, such as sandwiches, wraps, pizza or even quiches and sweet pies!

The name of that beauty? Lo-Dough.

Low carb, low calories (it only contains 39kcal per piece), as well as gluten free and dairy free, Lo-Dough as a neutral flavour that allows you to use it for multiple sweet or savoury dishes, without using any artificial preservatives, flavourings or colours.

With 2 syns or 1 smart point per portion, Lo-Dough makes a great base for a healthy pizza. Just top it with some passata, a cheese portion to match your daily allowance, fresh veggies, proteins and herbs, place under the grill and enjoy!

On their website, the British brand shares plenty of tasty recipes, including a Low Calorie BBQ Chicken pizza, an Egg Custard Tart, or a Healthy Lamb Kofta Kebab which suit most diet plans. We really recommend you give them a go.

Unfortunately, Lo-Dough can't be found in shops just yet but it is available to buy online and shipped to all UK and European addresses.

Getting this beach bod of your dreams might not be that hard after all…

Enter, American royalty, Ariana Rockefeller whose dreamy ethereal beauty look exquisitely complemented her pale pink duchess satin custom couture gown by renowned designer Elizabeth Kennedy.

Bryl’s key to achieving Ariana’s radiant glow is her 4-Minute Anti-aging Treatment + Perfecting Serum. “Nothing works better to prep and prime the face before any makeup is applied.” The angelic flush on Ariana’s cheeks, gentle contouring and neutral colour palettes achieved the night's celestial  look.

2019 couldn't be further away in our eyes, even though the year is nearly halfway up. The source of our agony? Having to wait for The Crown to return in next year!

Thankfully news about the upcoming third series has kept us placated. The most recent update is all about who's tipped to play Prince Charles from ages 16 to 22 (as it is expected that the upcoming season will cover the years 1964 to 1970).

The Prince of Wales was previously portrayed by child actor Billy Jenkins, so he is being aged up considerably in this next series as the actor rumoured to be taking over the role is nearly 28!

We have to say, though, the man who is possibly playing the Prince does have a very youthful appearance.

Always remember you have a family. #TheCrown

Josh O'Connor, known for his role in the ITV series The Durrells, may be stepping into Charles' well-polished shoes, The Daily Mail reports.

Josh certainly has the talent to hold his own in the excellent cast, as he won a British Independent Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in God's Own Country.

If cast, the British actor will appear alongside Helena Bonham Carter, who was recently confirmed as Princess Margaret, Olivia Colman as the Queen herself, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, and Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson.

Helena said, after the confirmation of her casting, “I’m not sure which I’m more terrified about — doing justice to the real Princess Margaret or following in the shoes of Vanessa Kirby’s Princess Margaret."

“The only thing I can guarantee is that I’ll be shorter [than Vanessa].”

We are quite excited to see if Josh will also be confirmed!

Rumours have been incorrect before, such as the one about Hugh Laurie playing Prince Philip, so we aren't holding our breath.

It may not really feel like it, but summer is pretty ,much here (please ignore the violent wind and rain happening outside!)

Well, can we just pretend really hard that the sun is shining – purely because we want ice cream.

And we're not talking about your casual 99, no no, we're talking about the new Baileys ice cream sandwiches.

Yep, we're dead serious.

Baileys ice cream sandwiches are a thing and we really want one

Try and imagine a glorious iceberger – two lovely soft biscuits with delicious ice cream in the middle.

NOW, add the delicious flavour of Baileys, and BAM… the perfect treat.

There is ONE (very large) catch though… isn't there always?

Basically, these frozen babies are currently ony available in Australia – nightmare.

HOWEVER, it would make logical sense that these treats would make their way to us sooner rather than later.

It is an Irish brand after all.

Until then, we'll stick to drinking the stuff.

Director General of the Health Service Executive (HSE) Tony O'Brien will resign from his position following the CervicalCheck cancer misdiagnosis.

Mr O’Brien's resignation will come into effect this evening, Friday, May 11.

In a HSE statement released yesterday, the Director-General said his decision came:

“In order to avoid any further impact to the delivery of health and social care services, and in particular the cancer screening services that have become the focus of intense political debate in recent days.”

Mr O’Brien added that in spite of “the clear communication failures surrounding the CervicalCheck Audits,” he is “confident” that on the completion of the Scally Review, the value and quality of the CervicalCheck Programme will be shown.

The HSE statement said  “he looks forward to engaging with the Review” and he will provide his full cooperation to the preliminary inquiry headed by Dr Gabriel Scally.

It finished with Mr O'Brien saying he was proud to lead the health services and the many staff who have worked tirelessly and with great dedication to provide health and social care services in a very challenging environment.

He emphasised that he remains deeply committed to health reform in Ireland and in particular the full implementation of the Slainte Care Report. He reinforced his support for Minister Harris in this regard.

Upon hearing Mr O'Brien's decision last night, Minister for Health Simon Harris said:

"I would like to express my thanks to Tony O'Brien for his many years of dedicated public service."

"I know that he is standing down from his role today because he believes it is in the best interest of rebuilding public confidence in the wake of the issues which have arisen in CervicalCheck (Ireland's national screening programme).

"Tomorrow, the Cabinet meeting will again discuss this matter and the further measures which can be put in place to care for and support the women and families affected," he added.

Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald has said the move "is a necessary first step in achieving accountability".

"It is regrettable that it ultimately took terminally ill women taking to the national airwaves to demand that Mr O'Brien be held to account in order to secure his resignation," she said in a statement.

Mr O’Brien step-down from his position comes after the Cervical Check system was called into question by some after it was revealed that 209 women who later developed cervical cancer had the same missed smear test as Vicky Phelan.

Ms Phelan was wrongly told she was cancer-free following a cervical screening in 2011. The mum-of-two wasn't diagnosed for another three years.

Pressure further mounted on him to resign as earlier this week, a mother of five Emma Mhic Mathuna took to the airways to deliver a powerful interview on RTÉ radio about being one of the 209 women and how her cancer is terminal.

Tristan Thompson has spoken out publicly for the first time since the birth of baby True.

Khloe Kardashian gave birth to their baby girl last month.

The NBA player revealed details of life with newborn True on the podcast Uninterrupted’s Road Trippin.

Breaking his silence on Wednesday, he said the baby is “doing good,” during the interview.

“Baby True is eating, sleeping and, uh, s**ttin’. That’s all they do,” he said.

The couple has not released any photographs of their baby girl to the public, however, the 27-year-old gave an insight into what the little girl looks like.

According to the basketball star, she has a “full head of hair”, green eyes and was born 21 inches long.

This is Tristan’s second child, his son Prince from a previous relationship with Jordan Craig, was born in December 2016. During the interview, the NBA star opened up about the differences between having a son and a daughter.

A post shared by Tristan Thompson (@realtristan13) on

‘Yeah, I think with a girl, you’re just so much more emotionally like… With a boy, it’s just like, hey, man. You’ll be alright, man. Stop crying.”,’ he said.

‘But [with True], it’s like, “True, it’s gonna be OK. You know, we’re right here. Daddy’s here to feed you. It’s me! Look, yeah!”

It’s way different, but it’s fun, though. It changes you.’

Addressing the question if Thompson is finished having children, Tristan reportedly hinted that things are okay with Khloe and that he was keen to expand his brood.

‘Naw, I’m gonna keep going,’ the dad-of-two revealed. ‘I’ve got a couple more. I got a couple more left.’

Although Tristan didn’t mention his relationship with Khloe during the interview, and Khloe has not publicly addressed recent allegations, it has been reported that the couple are working things out.

Despite Khloe staying quiet, her family have expressed their opinion surrounding the situation.

Kim Kardashian recently opened up to Ellen Degeneres on her show about how much she feels for her sister, but she always has the support of her family.

‘Poor Khloe. Like, I don’t even know how to describe it besides it’s just so f**ked up,’ she admitted. ‘We really were rooting for Khloe and we still are.’

You know that feeling when you get home from work and you are CRAVING a glass of vino?

Well, then you will also know that hideous feeling when you realise your bottle of white isn't in the fridge – and so it's warm.

Violent stuff.

Anyway, you can try fling it in the freezer, but that will still take time, and who has that these days?

more wine GIF

Well, there is apparently a very handy little trick, that will have you grape juice ice cold in minutes.

Just enough time to pop your PJs on.

Wine expert Brian McClintic recently spoke to My Domaine about how he gets the ideal wine temperature.

And just incase you're wondering – that would be 7 to 13 degrees for white and rosé wine, and 13 and 18 degrees Celsius for a glass red.

big bang theory wine GIF

Simply pop your bottle in "an ice water bath with plenty of salt," which "works  like a charm."

"The full bottle should be submerged. It's hard to say how much salt-let's just say a liberal amount. What happens is the bottle is encased in ice and therefore comes down in temperature much more quickly."

How does it work? Well, basically salt reduces the freezing point of water, meaning it cools down quicker without turning into ice.

So pour yourself a glass this evening, you deserve it!

It's an interesting time to be  woman in Ireland at the moment, what with the current issues of abortion rights and the gender pay gap both finally gaining the attention they merit.

Women's issues are creeping into the lime light, and helping to promote feminism and the recognition of female issues are a whole host of feminist podcasts.

One of the very best has got to be The Guilty Feminist, which injects a hit of humour into a usually sombre subject.

This laugh-a-minute podcast uses its episodes to discuss various elements of women's lives through a comedic lens.

The episodes include the topics of food, porn, apologising, the internet, fashion and many more.

The podcast description suggests that the panel discuss topics '“all 21st century feminists agree on” while confessing their insecurities, hypocrisies and fears that underlie their lofty principles.'

Comedian Deborah Frances-White heads up the well-established podcast with a series of guests.

Comedians Sofie Hagan, Sara Pascoe and Leyla Hussein often join her.

The podcasts are treated as a stand-up comedy show, and are recorded in front of a live interactive audience.
