It looks like the king of rom-coms is officially off the market. Hugh Grant has caught wedding fever as the actor is set to marry his long-term girlfriend this month, according to reports.

The actor captured our hearts in some of the most-loved romantic comedies, from Four Weddings and a Funeral to Bridget Jones’s Diary.

The charming 57-year-old will have to wave goodbye to his title as one of the United Kingdom’s best bachelors as friends have shared that he is ready to settle down.

Hugh and his long-term partner Anna Eberstein are supposedly tying the knot later this month after wedding banns for the pair were posted at Kensington and Chelsea register office.
“This is a day none of Hugh’s friends ever thought would come. He will soon be a pensioner and has finally become a family man,” said one source.

Hugh and Anna have three children together, with the parents welcoming their youngest child in January this year.

The Love Actually star also shares two children with his ex-girlfriend Tinglan Hong.

The dad-of-five has admitted that becoming a parent changed him for the better. Speaking to Jess Cagle of People magazine the Paddington 2 star admitted that his children have changed his view of the world.

“It was the nicest thing that's ever happened to me, but it happens to be true. It's just lovely to have all that love around.”

He added that fatherhood makes you look past your own needs, it teaches you to be a more selfless individual, “Suddenly you love someone more than yourself. It's unheard of in my case and they love you and it's all enchanting."

Break ups are hard. There's anger, tears, confusion, not to mention endless tubs of Ben & Jerry's. Pretty soon you'll find a coping mechanism out of the mess, it could be getting bangs or getting outy and meeting new people, or even just attaching their face to a punching bag.

But 27-year-old Chloe Forsberg of Southampton, England definitely wins the award for best break-up clap-back. After ending a serious four year relationship,Chloe's sister Emily, took revenge into her own hands, editing pictures of a recent family wedding.

Not only did she photoshop the ex out- but she photoshopped her cat in his place.

Well played, my lady, well played.

"My cousin got married and my boyfriend — we were together four years — he was in all the official pictures," Chloe told TODAY. "When we broke up six months (after the wedding), my sister thought it’d be fun to replace him with a picture of my cat. It was a joke, really. I felt a bit bad to have the pictures ruined with photos of him. But my sister made me feel a bit better about it."

Before you go thinking that Emily is some kind of photoshop maestro- she's not. The entire thing was done on Microsoft paint.

The cat, hilariously named Woof, joined the family when Chloe was just 10-years-old and has been a big part of her life since.

"We kind of grew up with him," she said.

He was the best cat that anyone could have! Going to miss him so much #Woof

Tragically, he passed away last year at the ripe old age of 16.

As for her ex- he's in on the joke.

"No hard feelings towards my ex-boyfriend!" Chloe explained. "We spoke about it and we had a laugh. Some people thought it was a bit of a cruel thing, but he found it funny!"

Boyfriends and girlfriends may come and go, but love from a cat is for life.

Ever since her engagement to Prince Harry was confirmed by Kensington Palace, Meghan Markle has embraced her new life as a member of the British Royal Family.

From social media bans and fashion guidelines to a strict 'no shellfish' policy (em?), the new Duchess has a long list of rules to get used to.

However, there is one royal tradition we can ALL get on board with.

Members of the Royal Family are forbidden to wear dark nail colours in public as they are considers 'vulgar' by Queen Elizabeth, who instead favours a more natural look.

Keen to please her new grandmother-in-law, Meghan opted to wear the Queen's favourite shade on her wedding day – and it's surprisingly affordable.

Essie's 'Ballet Slippers' is the perfect shade of princess pink and sells for a mere €9.99

According to Beauty Crew, in 1989 the Queen's hairdresser wrote to Essie requesting a bottle of the classic pink shade for her royal client and ever since then her majesty has favoured the neutral shade ever.

Kate Middleton opted for a similar colour on her wedding day, choosing Essie's pale pink 'Allure'.

We ran a competition over on the @shemazingie Instagram, where five lucky followers could win a bottle of this sold out shade.

Did you enter? If so, head over to our Instagram page right now to see if you're one of them, as the competition is now CLOSED.

The National Youth Council (NYCI) of Ireland has welcomed the unprecedented surge of voter registration ahead of the referendum of May 25.

Returns received by NYCI indicate that up to 125,000 people were added to the supplementary electoral register between February and the May 8 deadline.

The figures show a potential increase over of 90 per cent when compared to the voter registration figures for 2015's marriage equality referendum.

James Doorley, NYCI Deputy Director explained: “For example the numbers registering in Meath (123 per cent), Kerry, (112 per cent), South Dublin (103 per cent) and Westmeath (103 per cent) are up over 100 per cent on 2015. Other counties such as Galway, (97 per cent)  Tipperary, (92 per cent), Kilkenny (86 per cent) are also recording a much increased level of registration.

"Leitrim stands out as a result of an 213% increase in voters included in the supplementary register with 670 additional voters in 2018 compared to 214 in 2015."

Earlier this year, NYCI expressed concerns that 22 per cent of young people were not registered to vote, however, Mr. Doorley praised the work of a number of youth organisations that helped drive the late surge in registration.

“We know that a lot of work was done by a range of organisations in late 2017 and many thousands of eligible voters were added to the electoral register.

"It is really heartening that so many young people responded to the call by NYCI and others and took the opportunity to register at events organised by the USI, ISSU, SpunOut, individual student unions, youth organisations and community groups in recent weeks to ensure they had the right to vote in the upcoming referendum.”

The organisation is confident that this high level of youth registration will translate into a high level of youth voters and is providing information for young or first-time voters who may have questions following the registration process and in advance of May 25, at www.youth.ie/vote

Harry and Meghan shared so much of their special day with the public, but when it came to the evening reception they wanted to keep things private.

Prince Charles hosted a lavish event for the newlyweds and 200 of their family and friends at Frogmore House.

They were joined by some of the biggest celebrities including Amal and George Clooney, Elton John, Serena Williams, and Meghan’s Suits co-stars.

A firework display lit up the sky above Windsor towards the end of their late night celebrations.

It sounds like the festivities went on until the early hours of the morning, and now details of their private celebrations have been released, including their first dance song.

According to The Telegraph, the pair danced to Whitney Houston’s 1987 hit I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

Rumour has it the classic pop song is a favourite of Meghan’s, with the former actress describing it as her happy song.

Harry and Meghan’s wedding was nothing like the royal weddings of the past. The pair were applauded for their modern wedding that merged both of their cultures. From Reverend Michael Curry’s inspiring sermon to the moving reading by Diana’s sister, Lady Jane Fellowes about a mother’s love for her son.

The pair’s vows also highlighted the change they’ll bring to the royal family. Meghan decided not to vow to obey her husband. They were praised by the public for keeping the word obey out of their vows.

In another modern move, Harry and Meghan were named husband and wife, instead of being named “man and wife.”

Oh, how we wish we received an invite to Harry and Meghan’s big day.

Millions of women across the world could soon see an improvement in their heavy periods thanks to a very promising scientific breakthrough.

A team at the University of Edinburgh have identified the possible cause of excessive menstrual bleeding and are hopeful that their research will provide some very welcome relief for the women who suffer in silence every month.

Researchers found that lower levels of HIF-1, a protein which is affected by low oxygen levels, are to blame for the increased level of blood loss.

For the study, published in Nature Communications and primarily funded by Wellcome, laboratory mice were given a drug designed to boost levels of HIF-W.

Results showed that the increased presence of the specific protein led to improved tissue repair and reduced blood loss.

Dr Jackie Maybin, Clinical Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Edinburgh's Medical Research Council Centre for Reproductive Health, who led the study, said:

"Our findings reveal for the first time that HIF-1 and reduced levels of oxygen in the womb are required during a period to optimise repair of the womb lining… Excitingly, increasing levels of the HIF-1 protein in mice shows real promise as a novel, non-hormonal medical treatment."

The breakthrough heralds a possible new era in the treatment of heavy menstruation, meaning women will no longer be subjected to the adverse side-effects that come with some forms of hormone-based medication.

Speaking about the findings, a spokesperson for Wellbeing of Woman, a women's health charity which supported the study, said:

"Wellbeing of Women is delighted to have supported this work, which has led to the breakthrough discovery of causes of the condition so treatments might now be developed. These findings give hope to women who have suffered in silence with the condition for too long."

The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was no doubt one of the most hyped events of the decade and we'd be lying if we said we weren't a little disappointed when our invitations didn't arrive in the post.

Instead we found ourselves glued to the telly, playing rounds of 'spot the Suits star' and drooling over the regal style of the attendees.

And as sad as that sight may seem, our disappointment didn't come close to that of this little girl from Belfast who was somehow under the impression she had been invited to the the royal affair.
