Lads, we don't know how we feel about this, and honestly, it all makes us just say 'huh?' in our heads.

Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas is You is being made into a movie, but we're not really sure how it's going to work.

Apparently, the song will be brought to life through Mariah's voice and CGI animation (see… huh?).

The song, which is also a children's book, will centre around a young Ms Carey and her longing for a pet dog.

See if you can wrap your head around the synopsis: "When young Mariah sees a darling little puppy named Princess at the pet store, she suddenly knows exactly what she wants for Christmas.

"But before her Christmas wish can come true, she must prove that she can pet-sit Jack, a scraggly rascal of a dog; in fact, the worst dog in the county! Naughty Jack turns Mariah and her family’s Christmas preparations upside down in hilarious ways.

"Will Jack dash Mariah’s hopes for her dream puppy? Or will Christmas reveal how love works in surprising and mysterious ways?"

Glenn Ross, general manager and executive vice president, Universal 1440 Entertainment said:"Like the song itself, Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You is destined to become an enduring family holiday classic.

"It is packed with family fun, holiday spirit, poignant moments – and of course, Mariah Carey!”

Are we pessimists if we say we're still not on board?

Whether you are still in college, just starting off on your career or you’re looking for a leg up in the industry, having a mentor is totally invaluable.

Finding someone who works in your desired field will stand to you in your future.

Also, having a person to show you the tricks of the trade is so much better than trying to figure something out from a textbook.

So, if you feel like having a mentor will benefit you and your career, here are a few tips on how to find the right person for you.

Research your field and the people who are in it

Research various companies, freelancers and professionals who you look up to.

Then, create a list of who you feel would be a good fit. This regards both personality and their line of work.

Make ALL the contacts

Start emailing your desired mentors with a polite message. Explain why you are contacting them, and what you wish to gain from a mentor.

Be straight from the outset with them and make sure you clearly describe what kind of mentor you’re looking for – whether it’s someone to email and ask questions or someone you want to work alongside with on a weekly basis.

Social media is a great intro

And when you do email them, your name will be familiar from popping up on their social media channels.

Meet up

When you find someone happy to be your mentor, make sure you both meet for a coffee as soon as possible.

Meeting them face to face will set the tone of your relationship and give you an inkling into whether it’s the right fit.

Stay in touch

Whether you meet up one a week or once a month, always stay in touch. The closer you get, the more they will trust you and recommend you to other people in the industry.

Show them your strengths and your work ethic and always have their back. Trust is a major element of climbing the career ladder.

Network, network, network

Networking is one of the most important things when it comes to your career. Whether you’re in business, fashion or food, knowing people and having good connections in your field will stand to you for years to come.

Ask your mentor if you can go along to events with them. Meet the who’s who of the industry and make sure you introduce yourself to everyone.

Follow anyone you met on social media the next day, so the connections you made won’t be lost.

If you're a fan of Joe Wicks, aka The Body Coach, you'll know that in addition to promoting a healthy way of life, the fitness and nutrition guru advocates hearty meals and treating yourself on the regular.

And while it seemed Joe's 'eat more, exercise less and lose weight' approach sounded a little too good to be true, there's no denying the results.

A post shared by Joe Wicks #Leanin15 (@thebodycoach) on

Indeed, his best-selling Lean in 15 books are chock-full of recipes which you're unlikely to find in standard 'diet' book, and yet his clients have undergone some of the most incredible 90-day transformations even seen online.

And with carbonara, curry and cakes up for grabs, what exactly would the Body Coach refuse to eat?

According to a recent interview he did with The Business Insider, Joe will not eat frozen ready meals or anything deep fried.

When asked what is officially 'off' the list, he responded: "Frozen ready meals and any deep fried stuff."

"It's the oils they use that aren't food for you, rather than [whatever is in them, like] the chicken. They're cheap, so they use all sorts of crap," he added.

But as any Body Coach fan will know, Joe never deprives himself, telling the publication that he simply opts for homemade versions.

"I like to make healthy versions of popcorn chicken, healthy burgers, and healthy homemade pizzas, so I never feel deprived," he insisted.

Joe will be heading to Dublin this summer, so you can find out more from him then!

Mother's Day is just around the corner, and the panic has ensued about what to get our dear darling mammies.

While fancy presents are amazing, sometimes investing in experiences can be just as fab.

Here's a few of our top suggestions:

10. Spa day

Taking your well-deserving mammy away for a spa weekend is a Mother's Day favourite.

While a spa weekend may be pricey, sites like Groupon have some pretty great deals that don't cost a complete bomb.

A post shared by Jennifer  (@jennifernozlihn) on

9. Home spa

However, sometimes an at-home spa can be just as nice!

Stock up on face masks and give your mum a blow dry at home. Even throw in a mani-pedi if you're feeling extra generous.

8. A scenic hike

If your mum is more of an adventurous type, why not try a hiking trial up a mountain or a forest trail if there is one close to you.

Follow it up with a hearty warm brunch after all that exercise.

7. Adventure centre

Another one for the athletic mum, an adventure centre is an amazing idea if you have younger siblings who need to expend some energy.

A post shared by Mila Kousal (@mila_kousal) on

6. Head for the sun

Obviously we would love it if our mums could spend their entire lives on holiday, relaxing in the sunshine like they so deserve.

While it may be a tad last minute to whisk her away this weekend, a quick trip abroad always makes an excellent present.

5. High tea

A beautifully prepared high tea is one of the cutest ways to celebrate a big occasion like Mother's Day.

Your local fancy hotel is sure to have a tea option on their restaurant or lounge menu.

4. Gin tasting

If your mum enjoys a nice beverage or two, a gin tasting or whiskey tour could make for an interesting afternoon.

Bring your best friend and her mum, and the group of you can have an amazing time supping on gin and swapping stories.

A post shared by Club Gin (@clubgin) on

3. Beach walk

Enjoying the outdoors with a walk on the beach is one way to spend quality time wih your mum, without the exertion of a full on hike.

Grab some take-out coffee or hot chocolate before you hit the prom to keep those hands toasty.

2. Go antiquing

Antiquing can actually be great craic, and the gems you unearth are completely amazing.

Whether you hit the professional warehouses or take your chances at a flea market, antiquing can definitely be a laugh.

A post shared by Kathleen (@justkf) on

1. Remind her of how special she is

Fancy presents and big adventures are nice and all, but on Mother's Day, the most important thing is to make your mum feel loved.

And whether that's through a giant bouquet or a simple homemade card, she'll know it came from the heart.

In November of 2015, a Twitter user named Molly Hodgdon compiled a list of items which women over the age of 30 should definitely avoid wearing.

But all is not as it seems.

In the satirical Twitter post, Molly ultimately took aim at the endless lists created by women's magazines which suggest – in no uncertain terms – that some items of clothing are strictly off-limits the moment you take your first big step into your third decade.

Opting for a more sensible approach on the ill-advised topic, Molly reminded women that there are indeed some items we should avoid… but only if they pose a risk to you or those around you.

And that post is doing the rounds again this week, and frankly we can't get enough of it.

So, if you've ever wondered what you should avoid as you approach the big 3-0 (or any other time for that matter), Molly has laid it down here for you.

Molly, take a bow!

Ronan Keating has revealed that Boyzone’s 25th anniversary wont go by unnoticed.

A major reunion celebration is in the works for 2018, when the boys will mark a quarter of a century in the music industry.

Ronan, along with band mates Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy, are discussing a big return.

"Twenty five years! It’s such a long time and so much has happened,’ Ronan told The Sun."

"I’m sure we’ll mark it in some way. But whether by tour, record, book, musical.  We haven’t decided yet."

We can't wait to see what the boys come up with 25 years down the line.

We're keeping our fingers crossed for a brand new album full of nostalgic 90s vibes!

Between Hanson, B*Witched and now Boyzone, we're spoiled for choice with 90s pop icons.

You may remember Kat Von D from her successful tattoo show LA Ink, but now the American artist is better known for her insanely popular makeup line.

Her coveted makeup only became available in Ireland recently, and is now being sold in Debenhams.

A post shared by Kat Von D (@thekatvond) on

The queen of alternative beauty is coming to Dublin this April to celebrate the launch of her line.

"HELLO, IRELAND! I'm so excited to get the chance to meet you all in Dublin THIS APRIL!" she said, captioning an Instagram post.

"In celebration of @katvondbeauty launching in more @debenhamsbeauty locations this spring, I'll be flying out to give each and everyone of you a big hug!"

A post shared by Kat Von D (@thekatvond) on

The tattoo-artist-turned-makeup-mogul will be in Debenhams on Henry Street on April 1 (and this is not a joke).

The catch is that you have to purchase a KVD product on the day to meet Kat, but we're dying to get our hands on a few of her palettes anyway so we don't need another excuse.

Over 1,500 people have clicked attending to the Facebook event, so that's quite a lot of hugs for Kat to dole out!

Winding down is becoming harder and harder these days as many of us find it increasingly difficult to switch off or detach after a hectic day.

Old reliables like chilling out in front of a movie or reading a book just don't have the same appeal as our reliance on email and instant messaging increases, and ultimately distracts us from the task at hand.

However, it looks like millions of people in recent years have found a failsafe way to tune out or drift off, and it's with the help of something known as ASMR.

Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is an experience characterised by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine, and can be brought about by the sound of hair brushing, hushed tones, page turning or keyboard tapping… among many others.

Indeed, YouTube is awash with videos from all over the world which feature individuals role-playing in a variety of situations including hair appointments, eye examinations and hotel check-ins.

The thing is, though, you either get it or you don't. But if you do, here we have – for your ASMR pleasure – some of the most popular.

1. "This was my very first ASMR video! Knocks me out almost every time!"

2. "This is the best ASMR video I've seen in a long time."

3. "It's so hard explaining this to people."

4. "Your voice is so soothing, you're already one of my fav asmrtists!"

5. "Does anyone else feel that it tickles your back?"

Kylie Jenner basically churns out new products quicker than we can buy them, and this week has been no different.

After the successful but controversial launch of her Kylighters, the teenage makeup mogul has branched out into blushes.

One interesting aspect of the new line is the very raunchy names that Kylie has allocated to each shade.

A post shared by Kylie Cosmetics (@kyliecosmetics) on

All of the shades are drop dead gorgeous, and the reality TV star promises that they provide a matte, buildable colour.

The names are X-Rated, a pale pink, Barely Legal, a warm pink and Virginity, a hot pink.

There is also Hot & Bothered, a divine coral shadeand Hopeless Romantic a ravishing red.

A post shared by Kylie Cosmetics (@kyliecosmetics) on

The rosy hues sound a tad raunchy, but we're guessing they are all part of the 19-year-old's new, grown-up image.

"If you know me then you know that my favourite product is blush," said the star via Snapchat.

"So I'm excited to announce that my blushes are joining the Kylie Cosmetics family this Friday," she continued.

A post shared by Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

The blushes will joining the rest of the now extensive Kylie Cosmetics collection this Friday, March 24 at 10pm.

Much like the rest of the teenager's makeup endeavours, these blushes are sure to sell out fast!
