Rob Kardashian has reportedly been fined $1,100 for breaking a Californian speed limit after racing to collect Blac Chyna from Texas back in January.

According to OK!, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was caught driving his Bentley at over 170km/h while travelling back from Austin with his fiancé after she was charged with public intoxication and being in possession of a controlled substance.

As well as being fined, the dad-to-be has also had his licence suspended.

In January, TMZ reported that Chyna had been caught with two ecstasy pills in her sunglasses case when she was pulled up for being drunk and disorderly at Austin International Airport.

Chyna – who is expecting a baby with Rob this Autumn – supposedly became verbally abusive with a bartender at the airport when he refused to serve her the level of alcohol she wanted.

While multi-coloured hair, tattoos and piercings are becoming increasingly mainstream, many people still feel such physical enhancements are inappropriate in the workplace.

But is it really right for a stranger to pre-judge your professional abilities because of the colour of your hair?

West Virginian nurse Mary Walls Penney felt compelled to answer this very question over the weekend when her rainbow coloured hair left a cashier wondering how she could possibly be allowed work in a medical environment.

In a Facebook post which has since been shared over 100,000 times, the young mother explained how her hair caught the attention of a store worker while she was out getting groceries.

She wrote: "While checking out, the cashier, looked at my name tag and said, 'So what do you do there?' I replied, 'I'm a nurse.'"

"She continued, 'I'm surprised they let you work there like that.  What do your patients think about your hair?'"

"She then proceeded to ask the elderly lady that was in line behind me, 'What do you think about her hair?'"
The kind older lady said, 'Nothing against you honey, it's just not for me.'"

"Then the cashier continued to comment that they didn't allow that sort of thing even when she worked fast food and that she was shocked that a nursing facility would allow that."

After setting up the context for her argument, Mary went on to explain how her physical appearance has never interfered with her ability to perform at work.

She said: "I can't recall a time that my hair colour has prevented me from providing life saving treatment to one of my patients."

"My tattoos have never kept them from holding my hand and as they lay frightened and crying because Alzheimer's has stolen their mind."

"My multiple ear piercings have never interfered with me hearing them reminisce about their better days or listening to them as they express their last wishes."

"My tongue piercing has never kept me from speaking words of encouragement to a newly diagnosed patient or from comforting a family that is grieving."

"So, please explain to me how my appearance, while being paired with my cheerful disposition, servant's heart, and smiling face, has made me unfit to provide nursing care and unable to do my job!"

Mary's emotive post has received a positive reaction online with some Facebook users saying they would love to have her as their nurse, while others shared their own experiences of having strikingly coloured hair.

Hollywood has long been criticised for its portrayal of the ‘ideal’ woman and it seems even those inside the movie industry are fed up with this image.

Among those calling for the ‘average’ woman to be represented in film is actress Melissa McCarthy.

The Bridesmaids star recently told the Daily Mail that “for so long, we weren't showing real women” on screen and instead were limiting the female ideal to the picture perfect model.

She said: “We were showing perfect women – they wore the perfect thing, they never got upset.  I don't know any of those women.”

“I know women and men that are every colour and mood and emotion.  Don't be surprised when you see interesting, multi-dimensional women.”

“That's the goal.  We're not supposed to be perfect; we are supposed to be real."

The American comedian explained that she finds “flawed” women to be powerful on-screen because they better mirror the woman we encounter in everyday life.

She said: “I think it's always incredibly powerful when we see, in films and in art, the women that we are surrounded by.  I am surrounded by strong, flawed, funny, heroic, crazy, loving women.”

Melissa’s comments were supported by her Ghostbusters director Paul Feig who told Today online: “I think ladies make really good ghostbusters.  They are able to think on their feet, very nimble out there, able to do the action, able to fight, but also to be smart and use psychology to get around them.”

They say your university years are the best of your life, but when you’re scraping by on a part-time job and facing looming deadlines at every turn, your college career can seem like one endless stress-fest.

And with the publication of a new report on third-level funding, students' stress levels might be set to rise as they potentially face into a debt of €16,000 upon graduation.

Under plans drawn up by Minister for Education Richard Bruton, a university’s ability to meet skill gaps in the economy in addition to increasing participation among disadvantaged students might determine future funding.

Further to this, the Minister’s plans suggest that third-level colleges will have to meet performance targets in order to secure additional funding.

According to The Irish Times, a report, which highlights the need for urgent reform within the funding system, has outlined three main funding options; a ‘free fees'; system, retaining the €3,000 registration fee or an income-contingent loan.

The latter would see graduates repay their fees when their income reaches a particular threshold, with the report suggesting a middle-income earner might repay €16,000 over 15 years at €25 per week.

Commenting on the potential options, Mr. Bruton said: “There are no easy solutions here but I believe that if we are to prosper and grow as a society and an economy we must build a consensus and make some big decisions in this area.”

‘”Do nothing’ would be to fail future generations,” he insisted. “I look forward to discussing these issues with colleagues in the Oireachtas and other stakeholders and building a plan that can deliver on our goals in this area.

The plan, which has been met with considerable criticism, will now be brought to the Oireachtas education committee.

OK, so she's nabbed a fair few high-profile – not to mention eyebrow-raising – magazine covers in the past.

But today, Kim Kardashian released a sneak-peak of another just-released publication… and it seems she's totes emosh about it.

Yup, not for Mrs West 'merely' another Vogue spread or Paper magazine 'break the internet' photo. Instead, the 36-year-old reality TV star and businesswoman has nabbed the cover of Forbes.

Taking to Twitter this afternoon, Kim gushed: "Such a tremendous honor to be on the cover of @forbes!

"I never dreamed this would happen& know my Dad would be proud."

Her father, the late Robert Kardashian, was a high-profile attorney who famously defended OJ Simpson when the athlete stood trial on charges relating to the killing of his wife, Nicole Brown. Before Robert's death in 2003, he had amassed a fortune of some $30m over the course of his career.

The Forbes cover cites the success of her mobile app Kim Kardashin: Hollywood – which has so far made a cool $45m.

Overall, Kim's net worth stands at some $150m – more than twice that of her husband, Kanye West.

One of the reasons we love Adele more than we could ever properly articulate is because she seems so down-to-earth.

Cursing with wild abandon, admitting she's heard Jennifer Aniston's 'p*ss come out', and feigning shock at the idea of being part of Tay's squad means we feel we can totally relate to the star.

And then we'll hear a story that reminds us no matter how colourful her language or how star-struck she gets at times, Adele is a multi award-winning pop sensation who can pretty much do whatever she damn well pleases.

And if recent reports currently doing the rounds are to be believed, Adele did exactly that when she requested hotel staff organise a pizza delivery…from 112 kilometres away.

While staying at the Soho Farmhouse country hotel in Oxfordshire, the When We Were Young singer got a craving for a pizza from her local eaterie in Kensington, and hotel staff were apparently more than happy to oblige.

But after a 225-kilometre round-trip, staff discovered that Adele had decided to grab a little shut-eye and was all tucked up and fast asleep by the time her pizza had finally made its way to Oxfordshire.

225 kilometres? How good could it actually be?!

If you, like us, think Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston's relationship is going at warp speed just because he rocked an 'I heart TS' vest, you're going to want to sit down before reading the latest development in their burgeoning romance.

Not content to just globe-trot and grab headlines all over the world, it looks like the high-profile couple, who are currently sunning themselves in Australia, are already planning to settle down together.

According to E! Online, the Shake It Off singer thinks she's found the father of her future children while Tom, who is nine years Taylor's senior, is reportedly on the same page.

"This is the kind of a man she would want to marry," the source close to the couple revealed. "She has said he would make a great dad."

"They have talked about what they want in the future and kids are something that they would both like down the line," they continued. "They have very real and serious conversations about life."

Taylor, who was recently in a relationship with Scottish DJ, Calvin Harris, is reportedly head over heels for the British actor, with the insider saying: "She has told me that she loves his accent and thinks he is so sexy."

Ladies, we literally can't keep up.

Ever get the itch to bitch but think it’s better to hold that frustration inside?

Well, according to the experts, from now on it might be better for your health and your friendships to share those not so nice thoughts with others.

According to Marie Claire, social psychologists have discovered that having a good rant can be therapeutic and is essential when it comes to bonding with friends.

Dr Jenny Cole told the mag: “When we talk about someone behind their back, an emotional bond develops with the person we’re speaking to.”

“And that bond is stronger when the information is negative…Because it’s riskier to share a negative view, so the trust between you and that person becomes greater.”

As it turns out, bitching is not a new social phenomenon by any means and actually goes way back to when we first evolved from primates and learned to speak.

Dr Cole believes gossiping replaced grooming (a means by which apes bond) as a key form of social interaction – so the next time you catch yourself having a little rant, you could say it's a natural thing?

But before anyone takes the news to the extreme and goes on a total bitching spree altogether, it might be worth noting that, like anything, when taken too far gossiping can be damaging.

Oxford Professor Robin Dunbar warns: “Carried to extremes, [bitching] can of course be harmful.”

“But I think its primary function is to maintain the stability of the little community you belong to by establishing a collective view.”

“If so-and-so is behaving in a way you think is wrong, you hope eventually they’ll get to hear of it through the group.”

Sounds like it's time to get the girls over for a little chat!

With Stephanie Davis revealing her baby bump for the first time during an emotional interview with OK! magazine this week, it looks like Jeremy McConnell is starting to feel the pressure.

Having admitted that her ex-boyfriend's attitude towards her and their relationship left her feeling suicidal, Stephanie definitely didn't hold back when reflecting on the last seven months of this year.

And it looks like the publicity surrounding Stephanie's exclusive interview has lit a fire under the Dubliner who took to social media today to address the issue.

Reiterating his perspective on the situation which kept Big Brother viewers gripped for weeks, Jeremy wrote: "Everything will be dealt with accordingly and mature, but a baby doesn't fix a toxic relationship. End of discussion."

But if Jeremy was looking for support, he was sorely disappointed as irate Twitter users wasted no time calling him out on the rumours which circulated during his time with Stephanie.

"U hit the nail on the dead there. He made the relationship toxic sleeping around," wrote one while another added "Being mature would be having a conversation with each other not over Twitter."

"Shame it's taken her to go through hell and expose her bump to make you care!!" slammed another. "Not too late though love."

With both parties appearing to only communicate with each other through social media, we can't see this situation being resolved any time soon.
