Cuba Gooding Jr has turned himself in to New York police after the Oscar-winning actor was accused of groping a woman in a Manhattan bar last weekend.

According to AFP, a police spokesman confirmed that the 51-year-old actor surrendered on Thursday, but refused to comment on the details of the complaint.

Gooding vehemently denies the charges of grabbing a woman's breast on a night out on Sunday, according to US media reports.

"I trust the system. There's a tape that shows what really happened," he said. Apparent footage has appeared online of Gooding Jr and his alleged accuser.

His lawyer told reporters he had "not acted inappropriately in any shape or form" and that a video existed that would see him "totally exonerated".

"He did absolutely nothing wrong," said Mark J Heller. "I frankly am shocked and horrified that this case is being prosecuted."

A second woman has apparently come forward with claims that the actor also groped her in an NYC club back in 2008.

The actor exploded onto the scene in 1991 after appearing in Boyz n the Hood. He recently portrayed OJ Simpson in The People vs OJ Simpson: American Crime Story.

Many of us couldn’t hide our surprise when news broke that Kim Kardashian is in training to become…a lawyer.

The make-up mogul and businesswoman is basically turning herself into Elle Woods, as she studies to become a fully-fledged attorney, but she has now revealed that her Dad was less than supportive.

Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003 when Kim was just 22, worked on high profile cases such as that of OJ Simpson’s murder trial in 1995.

The famous lawyer advised his daughter to steer clear of the profession, instead of following in his footsteps.

In a preview for the new episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the 38-year-old said: “I told my dad years ago that I was really into criminal justice and he was like “This will stress you out so much, you do not really want to take this on.”‘

It seems Kim never quite forgot her desire to dive into law;

“I think now having gotten so deep in helping Alice Marie Johnson, I’m really motivated to get to know the law more and fight for people who deserve a second chance like her. ‘It really is overwhelming how much people do write. I do want to read and see if there are the right cases and what I can do to help.”

Kris Jenner has a totally different view of Kim’s profession wishes. In the clip, she is seen telling Kim; “I’m super proud of you Kim, you take this all seriously and I think that they’re lucky that you listen.”’

Her husband, Kanye West, is also extremely supportive of Kim’s choices. Kim’s studies over the next few years means that she has less family time on her hands to enjoy her personal life with North, Saint and Chicago, as well as their new arrival, who is due this month via surrogate.

The make-up boss gushed that Ye has been an absolute pillar of compassion.

“The fact that he is supporting me in this journey, knowing that for the next 4 years it would take time away from him and our kids, means a lot to me. And, gives me the confidence that I really need. ‘And that, like, extra push of someone around me to be like, “I know you can do it. You got this!”‘

Posting an image to Instagram a few weeks ago, Kim elaborated on her choice to register with the California State Bar to study law for the next four years, with 18 hours a week required;

“As my first year is almost coming to an end I am preparing for the baby bar, a mini version of the bar, which is required when studying law this way. I’ve seen some comments from people who are saying it’s my privilege or my money that got me here, but that’s not the case.

“I want people to understand that there is nothing that should limit your pursuit of your dreams, and the accomplishment of new goals. You can create your own lanes, just as I am. The state bar doesn’t care who you are. This option is available to anyone who’s state allows it,” she continued.

“My weekends are spent away from my kids while I read and study. I work all day, put my kids to bed and spend my nights studying. There are times I feel overwhelmed and when I feel like I can’t do it but I get the pep talks I need from the people around me supporting me,” she said, referencing her support system.

She also went into detail of the commitment which she has towards achieving her goal; “I changed my number last year and disconnected from everyone because I have made this strict commitment to follow a dream of mine – It’s never too late to follow your dreams.”

Damn right, Kimmy. We support a #GirlBoss (just a general boss, really).

After winning parole in July of this year, OJ Simpson is expected to be released from a Nevada prison as soon as Monday, October 2.

The 70-year-old was famously acquitted of the murder of ex-wife, Nicole Brown, but later jailed for armed robbery and assault with a weapon in 2008.

The former NFL star has served just nine years of a 33 year sentence, and while the details of his parole have not yet been finalised, David Roger, the Clark County district attorney who tried Simpson in 2008, said: "Based upon my knowledge of his background and behaviour in prison, I expect he will be a very good candidate for getting parole."

As it stands, the inmate remains at Lovelock Correctional Centre in northern Nevada awaiting transfer to High Desert State Prison , where he would be freed.

Once released, OJ will be supervised by the state Division of Parole and Probation until September 29, 2022.

According to Brooke Keast, a spokeswoman for the Nevada state department of corrections, video footage of his release is expected to be released to the public.

OJ Simpson, the former NFL star famously acquitted of the murder of ex-wife, Nicole Brown, but later jailed for armed robbery and assault with a weapon, is expected to be a free man soon.

The 70-year-old will today ask four members of the parole board to let him walk free in October, and given that he has a clean record behind bars, his request is likely to be granted.

The same four commissioners already granted OJ parole on the lesser charges of kidnapping, robbery and burglary at a hearing in July 2013, leaving him with a minimum nine years of his 33-year sentence.

According to The Guardian, the rate of inmates who are granted parole in discretionary hearings held as they approach their minimum sentence is around 82%.

OJ was convicted in 2008 after he and four other men attempted to retrieve sports memorabillia items that OJ claims were stolen from him.

"My crime was trying to retrieve for my family my own property," Simpson told the parole officials in 2013 before apologising.

"Make no mistake, I would give it all back, to get these last five years back."

At today's hearing, OJ is expected to explain where he would live and what he would do if he were to be granted parole.

Should parole be denied, OJ would be given another chance to plead his case in 2020.

OJ Simpson is currently serving 33 years in a Nevada prison after he was found guilty in 2008 of robbery and kidnapping.

The former NFL player is eligible for parole in October, and according to TMZ, there is an opportunity for the star to cash in on his infamy.

After the success of the TV drama, The People vs. OJ Simpson, some producers could be interested in offering OJ a show.

In 2006, a TV special was shot about the book OJ Simpson wrote, entitled If I Did It, which fictionally explored how he would have committed the double murder of his ex wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman back in 1994, a case in which he was the main suspect.

"Someone will try to recreate the TV special that was never broadcast for several reasons … years have passed, O.J. has done time for unrelated crimes, and People vs. O.J. Simpson was a big hit," according to the sources approached by TMZ.

The TV special never aired due to public outcry.

The former NFL player could be released from prison on parole later this year.

OK, so she's nabbed a fair few high-profile – not to mention eyebrow-raising – magazine covers in the past.

But today, Kim Kardashian released a sneak-peak of another just-released publication… and it seems she's totes emosh about it.

Yup, not for Mrs West 'merely' another Vogue spread or Paper magazine 'break the internet' photo. Instead, the 36-year-old reality TV star and businesswoman has nabbed the cover of Forbes.

Taking to Twitter this afternoon, Kim gushed: "Such a tremendous honor to be on the cover of @forbes!

"I never dreamed this would happen& know my Dad would be proud."

Her father, the late Robert Kardashian, was a high-profile attorney who famously defended OJ Simpson when the athlete stood trial on charges relating to the killing of his wife, Nicole Brown. Before Robert's death in 2003, he had amassed a fortune of some $30m over the course of his career.

The Forbes cover cites the success of her mobile app Kim Kardashin: Hollywood – which has so far made a cool $45m.

Overall, Kim's net worth stands at some $150m – more than twice that of her husband, Kanye West.

Kris Jenner is opening up about the murder of her best friend Nicole Brown Simpson 20 years ago in a new documentary The Secret Tapes of the OJ Case: The Untold Story.

The ex-wife of Robert Kardashian, who was part of OJ’s legal team at the time, has said that she feels intense guilt about not being able to save her friend.

“I will always feel guilty that I didn’t pay more attention and didn’t speak up when I thought anything was wrong or asked her more, ‘Do you want to talk about it?’”

Nicole suffered serious stab wounds and her death lead to the famous murder trial of OJ Simpson, 68, who was acquitted of her murder in 1995.

The late Robert Kardashian was a member of the NFL star’s defence team. Before her death, Nicole and Kris had grown very close and Nicole is said to have confided in Kris about her worries concerning OJ’s behaviour.

“At the end of Nicole’s life, I think she finally was at a place where she knew she had to be more vocal with what was going on and she was in trouble.”

The reality TV star told ABC News:

“The one thing she would tell all of us by the time, you know, it got to that level was, “He’s going to kill me and he’s going to get away with it.”’

While a lot of us may be too young to remember the most highly-publicised court case in American history, we now have a second chance to see the whole thing.

And just in case that doesn’t entice you, it’s going to be full of Kardashians too!

The first pictures of the actors playing the young Kardashian clan on set of American Crime Story have been released, and they look SERIOUSLY similar to our favourite family twenty years ago.

It is no secret that the Kardashian name first came to prominence in the early 1990s during the murder trial of former sports star and actor, OJ Simpson.

In this new series from Glee creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, David Schwimmer (yes, that’s Ross Gellar) is playing Robert Kardashian – Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob’s Dad.

Selma Blair is playing Kris Jenner in the show. The Cruel Intentions star actually bumped into the momager on a red carpet two months ago, and their uncanny similarities were seen in person for the first time.

Meanwhile Oscar-winning actor, Cuba Gooding Jr, is set to play the role of Mr Simpson himself and John Travolta appears as Robert Shapiro, another of Mr Simpson's defence attorneys.

With the world’s attention permanently fixated on the lives of the Kardashians, we have no doubt that this show, which is set for a 2016 release, will garner a HUGE audience.

She’s due to play Kris Jenner in a forthcoming TV series dramatising the OJ Simpson trial, and now Selma Blair has bumped into her the woman herself on the red-carpet.

Both were in attendance at the at the Children’s Justice Campaign Event in Beverly Hills yesterday.

Fittingly, the duo were dressed in almost-matching black attire (Selma opted for a playsuit; Kris stuck with a dress), and they also happily posed up for photographs side-by-side.

Kris, 59, and Selma, 42, even whipped out their phones to capture a few selfies.

On Monday, the actress was confirmed as playing the role of Kris in American Crime Story: The People V OJ Simpson.

Ms Blair told reporters at the Beverly Hills event that she was “very excited” to portray Jenner in the television mini-series. “She’s such a presence,” she said.

“People do say I look like Kris,” the Legally Blonde star also acknowledged.

Kris was equally gushing about Selma, commenting: “I think she’s great. I’m a big fan.”

Cuba Golding will play OJ in the series, while John Travolta will star as Robert Shapiro. Former Friends star David Schwimmer has been confirmed as taking on the role of Robert Kardashian.

The OJ Simpson trial, during which the former professional footballer and actor was found not-guilty of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friends Ronald L Goldman, took place in 1995. It remains one of the most absorbing and controversial cases in US legal history.

The TV series is due to premier next year and begins filming in Los Angeles later this month.

Friends star David Schwimmer has been cast as Robert Kardashian Snr. in a new miniseries about the court case surrounding O.J. Simpson.

The series, called American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson will also star Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. and Sarah Paulson as the lead prosecutor, Marcia Clark.

As many fans of the Kardashians may not know, O.J. Simpson and his wife, Nicole Brown whom he was accused of murdering, were good friends of Kris Jenner and her ex-husband, Robert. O.J. is also Kim Kardashian’s godfather.

We wonder what the family will make of the interesting casting made in their father’s name!
