This week, model Cara Delevingne wowed us with yet another campaign, this time around for luxury watch brand Tag Heuer.

It wasn’t Cara’s eyebrows that stole the spotlight in her latest campaign, however, but the adorable lion cub that she is seen cuddling, kissing, and even bottle-feeding at one point.

While the fashion world may have fallen in love with the sweet shots though, wildlife charity World Animal Protection are not one bit happy.

Indeed, the charity has blasted the campaign, expressing their concern over images that “support an industry that relies on animal cruelty”.

Wildlife expert Dr Neil D’Cruze blasted Cara and Tah Heuer, saying: “Lion cubs are not photo props. Their health and well-being should not be compromised. They belong in the wild, not draped over a celebrity just to sell a designer watch.”

He added: “Our concern is that such high profile adverts will legitimise these cruel encounters with wild animals.”

While the images are undoubtedly beautiful, we can certainly see the concern surrounding the campaign.

Poor Cheryl, she’s had a tough time of it in recent years. From her divorce from cheating ex Ashley Cole to her terrifying health scare with malaria, as well as that disastrous stint on the US X Factor, it’s been a difficult time.

Indeed, in a rather heartbreaking admission, the stunning singer has revealed that things could have turned out very differently for her if she hadn’t sought positive channels to help get over her troubles.

In an interview with The Sun, the 31-year-old spoke candidly about how she could have very easily “gone off the rails” if she had turned to drink and drugs like so many others in the industry.

“I’ve been very lucky in my life but it could have been very different. I could easily have been one of those people who go off the rails. Even in my showbiz career,” she said.

She added: “I mean, look at the amount of artists who have been affected by drink and drugs. My life could have gone that way too…I came from a worse area than so many people who need help.”

Her frank words come a day after she announced the launch of her first centre for disadvantaged young people in her native Newcastle.

Whether it’s their bottoms or their creepy injuries they’re showing off, it seems that the stars have no shame when it comes to selfies these days.

This is something that actress Brooke Shields demonstrated this weekend when she shared a terrifying selfie from one of the most frightening places in the world – the dentist’s chair!

The star took to Instagram to post a hilarious but equally disturbing shot of herself with a gigantic clear gum-guard in her mouth.

“My new heard shot taken at dentist!!!” joked the star.

Wow. We didn’t even know the human mouth could open that wide!

Needless to say, Brooke’s followers got quite the kick out of the funny post, with one commenting: “Been in the dental field for years…This cracked me up!!! Thanks for being so real…I’ve been a fan of you forever! You’re awesome!”

Sources are saying that show bosses have a new housemate lined up, and without doubt this is the most controversial move yet.

With Katie Price now the star attraction in the house, producers reportedly have her former best friend Jane Pountney lined up to follow her in!

In case the name isn’t too familiar to you, Jane was Katie’s maid of honour at her wedding to current husband Kieran Hayler, and went on to have a scandalous affair with him behind Katie’s back.

Since finding out about the affair early last year, Katie has not held back when it comes to publicly shaming Jane, and has targeted her in a number of vicious Twitter rants.

If that’s what she’s like on social media, just how will she react if Jane enters the house?

Tongues were wagging after the promo for the latest series of Keeping Up With the Kardashians aired, showing Kim saying: “I’m not buying her a f***ing pair of shoes, I bought her a f***ing career!”

While the reality star came off as a first class meanie in the footage, it seems that it’s a pretty accurate reflection of what’s going on in the Kardashian-Jenner household right now, with reports claiming that Kim is jealous of sister Kendall’s success.

Indeed, sources are saying that Kim can’t handle the fact that Kendall’s fashion star seems to be burning brighter than her own, and she’s been making her feelings known.

A source told HollywoodLife: “Kendall will bring up things that she’s doing, working on or projects that she’s been offered and Kim will play nice and be happy for her, but will immediately find a way to make the conversation about her. She’ll say things like, ‘Oh, that’s nice Kendall. I remember when I did that.’”

“She’s always downplaying Kendall’s success when she should be encouraging her more and jumping for joy,” they added.

Girls, you’re all successful and, let’s face it, filthy rich – can’t you just be happy for one another?

It has been a stressful time for Mel B, with allegations of domestic abuse being levelled against her husband, Stephen Belafonte, since that X Factor debacle.

Now, the star has had to speak out on yet another rumour – that Belafonte held her hostage in their London home, forcing her to miss the first of the X Factor final shows.

Taking to Twitter to address the rumour, the star wrote: “Pls [sic] don’t believe what you read, it’s all lies, lies, lies as usual.”

The latest rumour details how Belafonte wouldn't let Mel leave their home, with reports now claiming that he is set to face police questioning over the incident.

Local police said: “Police in Kensington and Chelsea borough are investigating an allegation of false imprisonment. The allegation was reported on Monday December 15.”

While Mel had been ruled out of the final shows due to a mystery illness, she appeared on the very last show of the series minus her wedding ring, and sporting what appeared to be bruises on her face and arms.

While it seems that only Mel and Stephen know the truth about what really happened here, we certainly hope she is okay.

It’s been a bad week for celebrity splits, and now we can add singers Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams to the list of casualties.

The couple, who have been married for five years, announced this weekend that they are calling time on their relationship.

In a joint statement, the couple told MailOnline: “Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost six years. It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time.”

Mandy has reportedly now filed for divorce from the musician, just weeks before their sixth wedding anniversary, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple started dating back in 2008, before going on to get engaged and tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in Georgia a year later.

Sad news for the couple, but it’s comforting to hear that they are still on good terms.

Kylie Jenner and her older sister Kendall definitely haven't had a normal upbringing. Growing up with cameras following their family's every move, and with a slew of business deals under their belts by the time they turned 16, the girls have definitely grown up fast.

But with 19-year-old Kendall now officially an adult and free to make her own decisions, Kylie is apparently very eager to follow suit. 

The 17-year-old has reportedly quit her at-home high school program without receiving a final qualification, in order to focus more on business projects such as her Pac-Sun clothes label (and her lip-liner addiction).

"Kylie quit homeschool a few months ago,” a source revealed to Life & Style magazine. “She told her mom it was getting in the way of her career, and that she wanted to focus her energies on building her personal brand and making money.”

The star's dad Bruce was reportedly "p**sed" with Kylie's rash decision, and the insider said he "blames Kris" for agreeing to let Kylie quit.

"Kris gave in," said the insider. "She feels the girls are smart and savvy and they don’t need a piece of paper to show that.”

Bruce has clashed with his daughter in recent months over the increasingly sexual selfies which she has been sharing on social media. "Bruce let Kylie have it after he saw that photo of her nipple ring posted,” a family insider said. “He told her that she is not an adult and needs to stop acting like she is some sex goddess.”

Poor Bruce – we reckon his words are going in one ear and out the other right now!

The third Monday is January, known as Blue Monday, is typically considered to be the most depressing day of the year. Our bank accounts hit an all time low after Christmas and the knowledge that the festive season is over really sets in.

The Students' Union over in DCU wanted to do their part to bring a smile pack to people's faces last Monday… and what better way to do that than with a free caffeine boost?

The first five people to comment with their current location on the SU's Facebook page received a hand-delivered coffee of their choice to anywhere on campus.

So sweet. BTW guys, ours is a skim vanilla latte. Just sayin'.

Ah, the gym. It's like Marmite; if you love it you cannot get enough, if you hate it the smell is enough to make you puke. 

Notoriously, gyms in January are ten times busier than normal as people's New Year's resolutions kick into gear. 

Not all of these gym-goers will make it to February:

1. The pre-work professional
Always in before six in a suit and runners, these people mean business. They hop on the treadmill do a solid two hours and off they go to work for another 34. 

Catchphrase: "Can't talk, gotta run – so late for a meeting with my CEO byeeeee"

2. The relaxed yogi
Always barefoot and pleasantly calm, the yogis will make you feel zen even when 'leg guy' is grunting while squatting in the corner. 

Catchphrase: "Would you like some nettle and liquorice tea?"

3. Leg guy
Yes, he was always going to be next.  Drinking a protein smoothie while lifting ten of thousands of kg, the natural habitat of leg guy is in front of the mirror. 

Catchphrase: "Do you even lift, bra?"

4. The Bridget Jones
This is us to be honest. Not a regular gym-goer but always striving to get fitter. 

Catchphrase: "HOW has it only been fifteen minutes since I got here?"

5. The Insta-snapper
Gym-gear? Check. Two-hour intense workout done? Check. Make-up still miraculously perfectly? Check. Mirror? Check. Snap, snap, snap! Inadvertently makes The Bridget Jones never want to come back to the gym. 

6. The fit mom
She's had HOW many kids?! Hope I'm like that one day….

Catchphrase: "The gym is my 'me-time'"

Gigi Hadid's career has skyrocketed in recent months, with catwalk appearances for Marc Jacobs, Chanel and Sonia Rykiel among others. But the model's personal life has not been quite so positive of late, as she has watched her mother struggling with deteriorating health.

Gigi's mum Yolanda Foster, known for her work on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, recently revealed that her three-year battle with Lyme Disease has been getting increasingly difficult, since a relapse of her symptoms occurred in early December.

In an emotional blog post, Yolanda opened up about the terrifying symptoms of her illness, which took a year to diagnose "I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can't process information or any stimulation for that matter," the 51-year-old wrote to fans. "It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it."

Lyme Disease can usually be treated quickly if caught early, but if left untreated can affect the brain and nervous system.

Although Gigi's modelling work means she can't be at home as much as she would like, the young model says she keeps in touch with her mother daily. "We try to call her and FaceTime her with what's going on and keep her feeling like she's not too far away," the 19-year-old told Us Weekly.

"I think that she kind of looks forward to it," she said. "Right now she's going through a lot, so even a little FaceTime once in a while helps."

Sounds like a tough time – our thoughts are with Yolanda and her family.
