Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter has compared Gwyneth Paltrow to the Korean dictator after her efforts to boycott the magazine, saying, “Kim Jong-un couldn’t have issued a more blanket demand.”

Last year it was claimed that the magazine was planning a tell-all expose on the actress, which she immediately reacted to by banning her friends and family from speaking to the publication’s writers. This resulted in a more tamed version of the piece being run in December 2013.

Graydon said: “She asked that [friends and family] not speak to Vanity Fair about her or about anything else ever again. Ever Again”.

He also added that he had spoken to Gwyneth about the incident and she asked his advice on how to be more likeable, to which he suggested “putting on 15 pounds”. Nice guy.

Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Fields was forced to come clean about the surprise party that she had organised for him in LA so that he wouldn’t fly back to Stoke-on-Trent.

The Angels singer’s old hometown had planned a month of celebrations to mark his 40th birthday party, including naming roads after his songs, a plaque in the park where he used to play and a mini festival.

The singer and his wife were left gutted that they couldn’t attend and he took to his blog to let his fans know just how terrible he felt. He wrote: ‘Unbeknownst to me my wife has planned a rather large and intricate surprise few days, which due to the celebration in Stoke she had to tell me about’

Even if he can’t make the actual celebration, we’re sure the people of Stoke are proud of their star. He wrote: “I wear where I’m from like a badge of honour always have done always will do.”

He added: ‘It all feels like it’s happening to someone else, someone who’s far more deserving.’

Aw, Robbie, we think you deserve it.

Busted star Matt Willis is all set to appear on Eastenders as a love interest for Stacey Branning who is returning from her hideout in Mexico.

Speaking about the new role, Matt said: “I’m so thrilled to be a part of such an iconic show. I grew up watching Eastenders so this is really exciting for me.”

Matt is also set to head out on tour as part of McBusted, an amalgamation of McFly and two-thirds of Busted, beginning in April.

Matt is married to Big Brother presenter Emma Willis with whom he has two children.

A recent poll found that the average woman will spend more of her life with make-up on than without it.

Shocking, we know.

A survey conducted by health brand Beurer found that a typical woman spends about 11 minutes each morning painting her face and keeps the make-up on for a full 13 hours before taking it off.

With foundation, concealer, mascara and eyeshadow being the most popular items worn by women, this just goes to show the lengths women go to for a confidence boost.

Two thirds admit they would leave it on even longer if they were expecting guests over and nearly one in five women said they wouldn’t open the door with a bare face.

It’s not right, but we can relate.

Jared Leto says his weight gain of 60lbs for the role of Mark Chapman in the John Lennon biopic, Chapter 27, was “stupid”.

Jared told The Guardian that he got gout and his cholesterol went so high that doctors wanted to put him on a medicine normally prescribed to older people.

“Really, it’s a stupid thing to do … again though, a fascinating journey.”

Jared also lost a significant amount of weight for his role in Dallas Buyers Club for which he is nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award.

Can’t afford fancy delf? No problem, dress up euro shop plates and mugs by writing on them with sharpie pens and baking them in the oven – how easy!

What you’ll need:

  • Plain plates or mugs
  • Sharpie pens
  • An oven pre-heated to 180°C

What you’ll need to do: 

  1. Draw your design using a stencil or freehand – whatever you like!
  2. Place in the oven for 30mins.
  3. Allow the oven to cool completely before removing.
  4. Handwash only – the dishwasher will fade or remove the design.

Margot Robbie has turned down Hugh Hefner’s offer of a Playboy shoot as she thinks her family have seen enough of her in the nude for now.

Talking to New Zealand radio station, The Edge, the up and coming actress said in relation to the offer: “I’ve put my family through enough”.

Following her breakthrough role as Naomi Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street, it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that the king of Playboy wants to get her in between his pages.

Speaking about Margot, Hef said: “She should be in Playboy! Send her a message! We’re ready for her. She would be great”.

This sauce is the perfect accompaniment to grilled lamb, beef, fish or even chicken. It is cooling thanks to the mint and cucumber so would be great as a side for hot dishes.

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cucumber, grated
  • 1/2 tub of Greek yoghurt
  • Handful of fresh mint, chopped
  • 1/2 lemon, juice only
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped finely
  • 1-2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

What you’ll need to do:

  1.  Put the yoghurt into a bowl and grate in the cucumber, squeeze in the lemon and add in all of the other ingredients.
  2. Stir to combine and serve or place in the fridge until you need it.

1. Jealousy
This is probably the biggest thing that cause a relationship to fail. Jealousy doesn’t limit itself to potential threats to your relationship from other people however. Jealousy extends to money, friends, family and even career paths. Learn to be happy for your partner and carve your own path; don’t covet theirs.

In terms of being jealous of attention coming your partner’s way, well, that’s more of a trust issue, isn’t it?

2. Trust, or lack thereof
If there is no trust in your relationship it won’t last very long. Do you eye your partner suspiciously whenever their phone beeps or if they leave the room to talk?

Maybe they’re planning your surprise birthday or have a family issue they can’t talk about going on. Either way, mind your own business. If they are cheating you’ll soon find out and be better off anyway.

3. Different places
If your partner is older or younger than you or even just a bit more mature or immature, you may have some issues. If they want to get married and have kids in the next three years and you still have a bucket list of a zillion things you need to do and see then you need to think about it. Maybe they aren’t the marrying type and it has always been your dream to start a family. If you are both in completely different places in life, chances are it won’t work out.

4. Unwillingness to try
Relationships today are disposable. There are plenty more fish in the sea right? So you have one fight over your partner eating the last nice Rose in the box leftover from Christmas and it’s over. Don’t be rash; try and make it work and you may be surprised.

Obviously if you fight like cats and dogs you should probably call it a day.
