With almost 200,000 followers on Instagram alone, Ireland’s leading fashion blogger, Suzanne Jackson, knows a thing or two about style.

But while the founder of So Sue Me insists that the key to dressing well involves a combination of high-street clothing and upmarket accessories, she says she will not be opting for an online label for her highly anticipated 2017 wedding.

Speaking exclusively to SHEmazing!, the cosmetics entrepreneur reveals that she has yet to start shopping for her August 5 ceremony – when she will marry long-term love Dylan O'Connor – but eagerly explains the importance of finding a gown which is totally unique to her.

“I kind of want to go all out,” admits Suzanne.

“I’m going to have something that hasn’t been seen before on another bride… I have my eye on a couple of different designers so I don’t know yet, but I know I won’t be in high street for my wedding day.”

Having recently returned from a Sofia Richie-led Pretty Little Thing event in London, things seem to be going from strength to strength for the 31-year-old Dubliner.

Styles from her new lash line have already been a huge hit with beauty lovers. Meanwhile, her country-wide workshops have completely sold-out and she's just about to reveal the next instalment of her beauty line which is due to debut in pharmacies this November.

But despite her success, Suzanne remains adamant that her brand would not have reached such heights without a lot of hard work and, of course, the valued support of her readers.

“Everything I do is 150 percent,” explains the popular brunette. “I built So Sue Me from the ground. I wasn’t famous before I did it. I didn’t have any backing from anybody. I built it from nothing and I’m very proud of that.

“My readers are the reason why I am successful today, so I like to build relationships with them. [My workshops] give me a great chance to meet them and for them to hear my story.

“I think people leave very inspired and I think that it’s really important as well to give people inspiration and give them the motivation to go do something for themselves.”

Noting the change in weather, Suzanne says faux leather is her favourite trend for the Autumn/Winter season, but insists that no matter what time of year it is, she stands behind one key style rule.

“My tip for people no matter what the season, is to always invest in your staple pieces. I would say to get a really good winter coat that doesn’t look too over the top, a nice jacket maybe with a faux fur trim around the neck that could act as a scarf… Invest in a really nice pair of ankle boots, good denims and I think you’re ready to go.”

Sounds like solid advice to us!

She's known for her long luscious locks – but blogger Suzanne Jackson has now taken the plunge – chopping inches off her hair.

And while we all know how utterly terrifying it can be to see a scissors cut into your precious tresses, Ms Jackson certainly pulls off the look expertly.

Taking to Instagram recently to debut the style, the 31-year-old wrote: "Massive thanks to my girl Jane in @red_velvet_hair_salon for applying my new @goldfeverhair extentions in time for Paris Fashion Week next week!"

She followed up the message with the hashtag #ShortHairDontCare.

Later, Gold Fever shared its own re-gram – stating that it also LOVED Suzanne's transformation.

The Dubliner is currently in Paris for Fashion Week, giving her revamped hair a whirl on the streets of the La Ville Des Lumières.

Unsurprisingly, Suzanne has been spotted in a variety of gorgeous outfits, including a pair of fab €23 tartan trousers, a high-neck bodysuit for €12 and a patch-work leather jacket priced at €41 – all from New Look.

Yesterday, Ms Jackson, who is marrying her long-term love Dylan next year, chose a crisp white shirt, blue jeans and red velvet boots from Zara, along with a pale blue sweater-jumper from H&M.

Shorter, chic hair, and on-point fashion: at SHEmazing, we're definitely all over these seriously head-turning vibes from Suzanne.

Vogue: The modern-day equivalent of the bible for any self-confessed fashionista.

Mere mortals read it, models cover it, but only the very esteemed are featured within, so we are PUMPED for one Irish blogger right now!

Retro Flame, also known as Erika Fox, took the plunge earlier this year by deciding to leave her job and establish herself as a blogger in New York City, and boy, has it paid off!

Taking to Twitter this afternoon, the 24-year-old fashion and lifestyle blogger shared the milestone moment with online followers by retweeting Vogue and sharing a string of loveheart emojis, and they're all over it.

Yup – it's just about hottest hair look of 2016… indeed this video of one young woman's super-long, Rapunzel-like dye-job has is HYPNOTIC

And when it comes to the rainbow-hair, there’s good news and bad: the good all those gorgeous colourful hues aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

New hair color xD

A photo posted by Shemaiah Asuncion (@shemaiahjosh) on

The bad? Well, as anyone who's dabbled in the trend will know, maintaining those purples, teals, reds, and greens fades FAST. Aka this is one look that quickly gets VERY expensive.

Luckily, inventive fans of the trend in the Philippines have come up with a way to DIY-dye for just a few euro: tissue paper.

As one beauty blogger explains, after putting bright strips of the paper into a saltwater solution and letting the dye bleed out, you can stain the ends of your hair by dipping them in the mixture and letting them soak.

Hurrah!

Others wrap their hair in the saltwater-soaked tissue – much like your hairdresser would if you were going for a full head of highlights.

Of course, it’s unlikely that the colour will actually last very long BUT for a quick ‘n’ easy weekend dye-job for a night out – this is pretty perfect.

Social media stars are what it's all about lately.

Gone are the days of bowing down to the celebs – now, we have 'real' people to tell us how it is. Tell us what beauty trick to use, what clothes to wear and what weight-loss methods work best.

However, we know ourselves, that everything on the Internet is not always what it seems.

We envy the 'perfection' that some people carry, yet recently, more and more social influencers and bloggers are owning up to what's really going on behind the filter.

Fashion, beauty and lifestyle blogger Tiffany Brien regularly posts jaw-dropping snaps of holidays and her bangin' bod, but she recently came clean.

The self-confessed peanut butter lover shared a split picture of her body on her Facebook page; one side showing her toned, tanned tummy, and on the other side, her bloated and sore stomach.

"These two photos are 12 hours apart," she writes, after opening the FB status with, "reality check."

"We are not all what we seem on social media. I thought I would share a bad day with you to show you nobody is 'perfect' and it is ok to have an off day where your body just decides to not play ball."

She continues to say that the substantial change is down to a "delightful cocktail of lack of sleep, hormones and food intolerances. A mixture for a whole lotta bloat."

However, what she writes next is something I think we can all relate to – mainly because it makes us feel so down – "It seems to happen at incredibly inconvenient times."

YES. Whether it be date night, girls night, our best friend's wedding or on holiday, the bloat always manages to surface when we least expect.. and least want it.

"I suddenly feel uncomfortable and now really unattractive with a big bloated belly," she pens before writing what lessons have sprouted from it.

"I have learnt a lot over the last few years through my own research into my own problems once I noticed my body playing up when I did certain things and ate certain foods.

"It was really frustrating because I couldn't work out what was triggering it.

"This photo is a bad day, a day I cannot tell you exactly what I ate that made me blow up. I have gone over everything I ate and I was relatively clean so it could be something I think is 'healthy' that my body now thinks naaa no likely.

"Sometimes your body becomes intolerable to something you've always eaten, you just have to work it out."

The fashion, fitness, beauty and lifestyle bloggers we all look up to now are stepping away from the impeccable lifestyle – because it's not real. It's ideal on social media, but when you're running on little sleep, crazy-ass hormones and a whole lotta stress, that sought-after lifestyle just doesn't work out, and Tiffany is saying that it's OK to not be that way.

"I am in no way perfect. In fact I am miles away from being a role model when it comes to looking after myself fully in this sense.

"We all have our areas of weakness. I know what I am doing wrong and I know how to fix it but it is actually implementing it into your lifestyle that's the tough bit." Here, here!

"Yes it gets me down when this happens. No there's nothing I can immediately do about it. But I can aid it and eventually overcome it.

"It'll be ok, you're not alone. Promise."

Irish make-up artist Chloe Boucher is a viral sensation, blonde bombshell and just, well, total beauty goals.

Knowing she wanted to become a make-up extraordinaire at the age of just 15, she got a degree in beauty from the LA College Of Creative Arts in Dublin, worked her way up with various beauty brands before becoming a total hit on social media.

So naturally when the Dublin native handed us down the holy grail of her top tips at the OPSH make-up workshop yesterday, we were all ears:

1) Use concealer to enhance the face

Forgot to thank @fifiloveslashes for fixing my brows and making me feel human again #browsonfleek #makeup #blonde #bblogger

A photo posted by C H L O É B O U C H E R (@chloeboucher) on

"Contouring is out," says the 23-year-old.

"If you have areas of your face highlighted, your face will start to contour itself."

Chloe recommends using a liquid concealer that is at least a shade lighter than your foundation colour. Applying this to areas of the face that catch the light (forehead, cheekbones, chin etc) will enhance those areas and naturally contour the face.

Use a soft powder bronzer on the cheeks and forehead if you would like a more enhanced look.

2) Use powder to set

This is especially important to the girls that have oily skin.

"Oils in your skin mix with the oils in your foundation causing it to come off in blobs.

"That's why I always recommend using some sort of powder to set your cream products."

Chloe uses a light, mineralise powder to set her make-up and recommends it being a shade lighter than your foundation so as not to counter-act your highlighting.

3) Brush them brows

"Never put product in your brows without brushing them first.

"Brushing your brows upwards can really lift the face."

When using products, Chloe loves to use powder applied with a precision brush for a soft, natural look but recommends pencils to fill in gaps and brow-gels to set brows for the whole day.

4) Go with eye-shadow shades that compliment your eyes

According to Chloe, blue eyes work really well with golden brown tones while green eyes are enhanced by red hues as well as purples.

"Brown eyes can pretty much wear anything."

She recommends using a brown base for a soft, smokey eye and blending out the shadow with tones that suit your eye shade.

5) Lining the eye

1/2 1/2

A photo posted by C H L O É B O U C H E R (@chloeboucher) on

"Use nude eyeliner on the waterline to make eyes look bigger.

"If you have naturally big eyes you can define them with a black or brown liner."

And she even gave us tips on how to achieve the notoriously difficult winged eyeliner look: "A lot of people do their wings starting from the top, but you want to start at the bottom.

She recommends doing the liner across your lid first and doing the winged part after, starting from the outer corner of your outer eye.

"Follow your natural eye shape and then just connect-the-dots."

6) Enhance those lips

"Clean up dark lip colours with concealers for the perfect statement lip."

Chloe swears by lip-liners but reckons you need a little extra help from concealer to get clean, defined lips when applying dark colours.

To make lips standout and look bigger, she recommends contouring the area by applying a smidge of bronzer just below the lower lip.

Sure – it’s the rite of passage that few young women want to miss out on: the Debs.

But while it’s certainly a glamorous night to remember, it’s also a seriously pricey event. In fact, the recent SHEmazing! Debs survey, which was released earlier this month, revealed that some gals are spending more than a GRAND on their soiree.

It’s easy to baulk, but by the time you tot up hair, makeup, accessories and shoes – not to mention The Dress – costs can quickly spiral.

So we challenged one of Ireland’s top bloggers, Lorna Duffy from FashionBoss.ie, to create a stunning Debs look… and ALL for less than €100.

It was certainly a tall order, but suffice to say we are pretty impressed with the results…

"Overwhelmed at first, when I decided to take on the SHEmazing! Debs-look challenge I was actually pleasantly surprised by just how much €100 will buy you.

"Over the course of around two hours, I hit five stores in a bid to get a great gown. And when I eventually found it – in Debenhams – I knew I’d stumbled upon the perfect look.

"Firstly, I was really impressed with the variety Debenhams has on offer. There are dresses in there (and online) for as little as €50 and plenty of simple and elegant styles.

"I settled on a €70 full-length black dress with gold detailing on the front and a gorgeous criss-cross back.

"Next, I headed out to find a bag, and in the end I picked up a €23 clutch from Parfois; it looks really expensive too.

"I have to say I was really worried about sourcing decent shoes under budget but when I walked into Penneys I discovered my ideal pair… for a fiver!

"They’re simple and black and not too high so you won’t be crippled by midnight.

"They also have a mesh detail which makes them look that bit more upmarket.

"While I was in Penneys, I also picked up a pair of really nice earrings for just €1.50. They have slight drop, a little bit of sparkle and are very elegant.

"When I came to hair and makeup, my gorgeous model Mei-Ling Tong and I looked at a load of YouTube tutorials and clips for inspiration.

"There are so many incredible videos on offer there really is no need to fork out a lot of money to complete your look.

"Actually, the one thing I learned from this challenge is that yes, with a small amount to spend you do really have to be ruthless and you have to be efficient.

"However, that certainly doesn’t mean you’ll look any less incredible on the night itself."

How Fashion Boss pulled together the look for just €99.49

1) Dress: €70 from Debenhams.ie, currently on sale for €56 (with gowns available from €31.50)

2) Bag: €22.99 from Parfois.com

3) Shoes: €5 (on sale) from Penneys stores nationwide

4) Earrings: €1.50 from Penneys stores nationwide

5) Hair and makeup: YouTube tutorials

PLUS… Don't miss Fashion Boss Lorna Duffy’s top five tips for cutting the cost of your Debs:

1) Shop around: Boutiques and specialist stores tend to sell expensive dresses but they often have sales so make sure to keep an eye out. Otherwise, hit the High Street. And the more you browse the better!

2) Plan: Do your dress research online first to give yourself a better idea of what styles and colours you might like. This will also save time when you do go shopping

3) Fancy footwork: First of all, your shoes NEED to be comfortable. If you're wearing full-length you won't even necessarily see a lot of what's on your feet – so don't go mad. You might even have a pair lying around at home.

4) Accessories: Most of us definitely have wow-pieces from a previous special occasion so get rooting. Charity shops are a good bet too.

5) Ask for favours: Most of the time, your aunt or granny will be delighted to lend you something or other. Or you might have a cousin with a dress just gathering dust in the wardrobe. We all like to have new things… but don’t dismiss borrowing either.

When blogger-of-the-moment and full-on fashionista Jessika Banaghan celebrated her Debs three years ago, she couldn’t find the right dress – even after weeks of searching.

“So I went for a custom-made piece,” she explains in an exclusive, Debs-special sit-down with SHEmazing!

“I had been really inspired by a red-carpet look Carrie Underwood rocked for the Grammys – she had a full-sleeve detail that I found impossible to source anywhere, so in the end I had it made for me.”

She admits she had to splash out to get her perfect gown – and evidently, plenty of us feel similarly: the recently-released SHEmazing! Debs survey revealed that some young women in Ireland are forking out more than €1,000 of their special night.

On a day-to-day basis, however, Co Tipp-native Jess always has one eye on a style bargain.

“I have a load of Penneys stuff that I love.

“But you have to put aside time and be prepared to go rooting,” she advises. “Get ready to make a mess in the store!

“Don’t impulse buy. Pick-up what suits you – not what suits your mate or what looks good on a celebrity. And don’t try and force yourself to like a certain trend.”

Ms Banaghan has been blogging about fashion, beauty and lifestyle via her immensely popular ChaosWearingLipgloss for a little over two years now, and in recent months, things have really begun to take off.

I am loving @glenlo_abbey Such an amazing venue for the #itwbnbloggerevent

A photo posted by Jessika Banaghan (@jess_selfiegirl) on

“It’s incredible,” the 22-year-old adds. “But it’s time-consuming and it’s taken a lot of work to get it to where it is now.”

She continues: “It’s tough out there too; you’re trying to find your niche as a blogger. You have to stay true to yourself but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I always have one eye on the competition too.”

Jess then laughs: “My poor parents though – I always have a device in my hand. They’re forever telling me to put down my phone.”

Now in her final year studying event management at DIT, Jessika moved to Dublin from Tipperary aged 19, and this summer found herself inadvertently spending more time back at her family home.

“I went through a break-up,” she says, honestly. “There was a lot of heartache. But being around my mum forced me to get up in the morning and put on a bit of makeup, rather than just wallowing.

“And now I’ve come up the other side and I can actually take a lot of positives from the experience.”

These days, the DIT student is balancing her various commitments: namely college work, attending fashion or styling events in the capital, and – of course – blogging.

“But I’m pretty low-maintenance,” she says. “I don’t spend hours on hair and makeup; I only wear heels if I have to; I’m forever getting changed in my car en route somewhere or other.”

Finally, if she has one piece of advice for sourcing a killer Debs dress on a budget, she says that colour is key.

“Everyone will probably gravitate towards black, white, or maybe red,” Jessika explains. “So go in the other direction. Green is brilliant because it stands out, but it’s a shade pretty much everyone can wear.

“There should be more green in this world!”

Last weekend marked London Fashion Week, where Cara and St Vincent were the couple of the moment and plenty of designers showcased their Spring/Summer collections for 2016.

One of our favourite things about fashion week, aside from the celebs and all of the fabulous designs being paraded down the runway, is the street style. The fashion-crowd are pretty easy to spot on their way in and out of shows and there are always so many of them.

Hannah Ewens of Vice realised that it was beginning to feel like anyone with a smartphone who was able to use #OOTD could be a fashion blogger. So, she decided to set herself a challenge at last year's London events:

“Spend €13 a day on the three dumbest outfits I could put together – one each for Friday, Monday and Tuesday – and see if I could get papped by one of those [fashion] people.”

As it turns out, trying to find a LFW appropriate outfit on such a tight budget can be tricky. So Hannah actually resorted to digging through skips at one point.

Her purple fuzz and phone charger ensemble seemed to do the trick though. She caught a few photographers attention outside one venue and they were curious about where she got her ‘pieces’.

“I told them most of my outfit was vintage Vivienne Westwood, because she's the only one I know.

They all nodded enthusiastically, and one man said: "Oh yes, I remember this bag. A big one that year."

She also noted that the posing thing is not as complicated as people would have us believe: “All I had to do was tilt my head down, smile coyly and slump, with my hand resting wherever felt sassiest.”

While she did have her picture taken by plenty of photographs she thought she had fooled, Hannah was only mildly disappointed to discover they didn’t feature on any serious fashion sites.

In case you haven’t noticed recently, bloggers are having a bit of a moment.

They are everywhere, from Instagram to Facebook we are practically inundated with fashion and beauty advice. While some of us love the chance to get some advice or a review of a new cult product, others are not such big fans.

This weekend one Dublin girl had decided that enough was enough

She wrote in a post:

“Hey you guys. I've spent the last 24 hours watching bloggers, vloggers and everything in between. I actually don't know how they take themselves so seriously.”

She decided to add her contribution to the world of beauty bloggers. The result was pretty hilarious.

Since she posted her video, it’s been viewed almost half a million times, and she’s uploaded a second one since.

Hey you guuuuuuys, we found our new favourite blogger.

The absolute irony of the video’s now viral status is that the amount of views and shares her post has are the kind that fashion bloggers spend their time fantasising about.

This 15-year old has been inspiring people around the world as she bravely battles cancer and shares her journey online.

Katie-Lily Bryant was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is saying that you can find the positive side of even the most negative situations. Her brutally honest account of her treatment includes her account of undergoing chemotherapy.

She says after her diagnosis her main concern was how it would change how she looked:

“Immediately after I was diagnosed, I didn’t think about cancer I just thought about my hair. I knew it would fall out during chemotherapy.”

Katie even went as far as spray tanning her head in efforts to keep things as normal as possible. Now she explains that after losing her hair, she felt more confident than ever before.

“I realised it was a life-threatening disease. If losing my hair and eyebrows keeps me alive I’d rather be bald. I struggled with my confidence before but now I’m so much more confident.” She says: "I am no longer focused on looks… I’ve stopped taking life for granted."

While her doctors are no certain of her prognosis, and she may need a hip replacement later in her life, Katie remains upbeat and takes it all in her stride.

Her blog has become incredibly popular and on it she posts honest insights into her life with cancer and inspires others going through the same experience.

She tries to remind her readers that while appearances seem to be the most important aspect of life that is not true in many cases. While before she was worried losing her brows would be the most difficult part of her illness, Katie says she feels more confident about her looks since undergoing chemo.

She wants people to “just sit down and appreciate everything we have got”.
