There's no question that having an unfaithful past can truly damage a person's reputation when it comes to future romantic endeavours.

A history of infidelity can lead to trust issues in relationships as the phrase 'once a cheater, always a cheater' echoes through the mind of your new partner.

And while that may not always be the case, some scientific research has suggested there could actually be some truth behind the old saying.

A study, published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behaviour, saw researchers follow 484 participants in heterosexual relationships.

As part of the study, participants were asked to report their own "extra-dyadic sexual involvement" (sexual relations with someone other than their partner), and whether or not they had been suspicious of their partner's infidelity in each relationship they had been in.

Researchers found that people who had cheated on their partners in their first relationship were three times more likely to cheat in their next, compared to those who had remained faithful.

What's more, those who knew they had been cheated on were 50 per cent more likely to have experience infidelity in their next relationship.

So, while the same can't be said for every individual, it seems the 'cheater' reputation might stick around for a reason.

It's been one year today that the world lost a talented musician, in the form of Linkin Park frontman, Chester Bennington.

He tragically lost his life from suicide last July in Los Angeles at the age of 41.

The Grammy-award winner had openly spoken about his struggle with depression and his issues with substance abuse before his untimely death.

His heartbroken fans took to social media in huge numbers today to mark the anniversary.

They wrote, ''the tears have started. Miss you so much Chester It feels like it was only yesterday, and yet feels like a lifetime ago.''

Another said, ''for every time that you and your music helped and help me, when I'm feel alone but your voice is with me, misunderstood but I find comfort with your words…for these 18 years and wonder how many more of infinity love…THANK YOU CHAZ.''

His bandmates paid tribute to him today, posting to Instagram.

Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, Rob Bourdon, and Brad Delson penned the emotional message.

They wrote, “it has been a year since your passing — a surreal rotation of grief, heartbreak, refusal, and recognition. And yet it [still] feels like you are close by, surrounding us with your memory and your light. Your one-of-a-kind spirit has authored an indelible imprint on our hearts — our jokes, our joy, and our tenderness.”

“Eternally grateful for the love, life, and creative passion you shared with us and the world,” they continued. “We miss you more than words can express.”

Our thoughts are with Chester and all of those who loved him, today.

Skin break outs happen to the best of us..even the perma-glowy Millie Mackintosh.

Thank f*ck for that, we here you say.

The 28-year-old former Made In Chelsea star took to Instagram stories share her acne woes with her 1.3 million followers.

Luckily for Mills, she could pop to get some light therapy done when she started to suffer with her complexion.

Spell it out

A post shared by Millie Mackintosh (@milliemackintosh) on

She explained in her post that her skin ''has been breaking out since my wedding…not sure if it's the heat or what, off to get some light therapy @drfrancesprennajones will let you know how I get on!"

Later that evening, Millie posted again about her skin troubles, saying how it made her feel ''rubbish.''

Her solution to it all?

Lash on a pair of oversized sunnies. Yep, it works for pretty much everything tbh.

So what is this light therapy that she was getting and can we afford it if we don't live in Chelsea?

Well, the treatment involves using controlled artificial ultraviolet light to help reduce symptoms and slows the progress of common skin conditions.

Shockingly, getting the treatment done with a dermatologist is super pricey.

So for those of us who aren't socialites, there are brands like Neutrogena who do a Light Therapy Mask, and it does pretty much the same job.

My favourite way to explore on holiday @visitgreecegr #greekislands #Crete #Εlounda

A post shared by Millie Mackintosh (@milliemackintosh) on

Things aren't all bad for Millie however, as she is recently back from her sun-drenched honeymoon in Crete following her wedding to Hugo Taylor on June 22nd.

She shared the whole holiday with us, posting envy-inducing snaps of blue skies, sandy beaches and gorgeous bohemian outfits. We're so not jel at all.

Here's hoping that her acne troubles are behind her as she starts married life – we think she still looks gorgeous anyway.

Are you one of THOSE people? The person who still watches the Friends repeats on Comedy Central because it is pure telly gold. Sure, years after it was actually on the air we could see it had more than a few issues; Ross still being a Class A jerk (they were not on a break and Rachel deserved better), some gags that weren't exactly PC and diversity in casting? Yeah, there was none tbh.

But, it was of its time. We loved it then, we still (or, for the most part at least) love it now and to fuel our obsession with too much coffee and Joey's love of not sharing food (sometimes, being selfish is worth it) Penneys have just announced a new Friends-themed collection.

In late June, the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI) upheld a complaint made against blogger Rosie Connolly.

It was claimed that the 28-year-old had filtered and photoshopped an image uploaded to Instagram.

The photograph was promoting a product sponsored by the makeup brand Rimmel.

The social media star has remained tight lipped about the ASAI ruling – until now.

A post shared by Rosie Connolly-Quinn (@rosieconxxx) on

Previously, Rosie stated the image in question had been approved by the makeup giant.

Rimmel Ireland however, took down the post as “it did not reflect their values as a brand.”

Nevertheless, they added that there was never an intent for it to be misleading.

Now, the blogger said she felt that she had been made an example of by the Advertising watchdog.

A post shared by Rosie Connolly-Quinn (@rosieconxxx) on

Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Rosie said she didn't blame the ASAI for their ruling, but did agree when asked if she felt they made her an example.

“Yeah, I do. I think they have to I suppose, that’s their position," said the blogger.

“Back when it happened I actually explained my position and how it all came about. I wasn’t going to relive the whole thing again when they came out with the ruling.

“But yeah, I don’t blame them for it. I think that’s just the way it goes. There are plenty of people who have broken rules or done things that were frowned upon by the ASAI but obviously my complaint was upheld, that’s fine.”

A post shared by Rosie Connolly-Quinn (@rosieconxxx) on

The blogger delved into the reason why she decided to stay quiet after the complaint was upheld.

Rosie felt she had been honest with her followers before the ASAI made their ruling and didn't want to relive the past.

“I came out and I explained exactly what happened, I was very open and honest when it all happened so when [the ruling] came out recently I wasn’t going to go through the whole thing again.

"Anyone who has followed me for that long already knows the story so I thought there was no point in bringing it up again."

A post shared by Rosie Connolly-Quinn (@rosieconxxx) on

However, Rosie added that she respects the ASAI's conclusion and why they did it.

“I suppose they have to and I respect their guidelines, I respect what they have to do to make a point," she explained.

“So yeah, I do feel like I was used as an example but I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with that.”

A post shared by Rosie Connolly-Quinn (@rosieconxxx) on

The ASAI’s Complaints Committee stated after they chose to uphold the decision, that:

“All involved in the production of marketing communications that care should be taken so that the use of pre- and post-production techniques did not mislead about the attributes of the product being advertised.”

It will be interesting to see if further complaints of this nature will be ruled in the same way, and how that could impact the Instagram bloggers and brands who sponsor them.

Is baba number four on the way for Beyoncé and Jay-Z?

The rumour mill is currently in overdrive after Beyoncé was spotted rubbing her stomach on stage during her and Jay's On The Run II tour.

The singer was seen touching her belly and smiling during her performance of 03 Bonnie and Clyde, and while it might not seem much – this was almost the same way she announced she was expecting Blue Ivy.

During the 2011 VMAs, the mum-of-three unbuttoned her jacket, rubbed her stomach and simply smiled. Short and sweet but, wow, it got the world on hyper drive. And now it looks like she may have done it again.

The clip was posted to Instagram by a fan, and now everyone is talking about it!

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are already parents to Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir Carter, and have always talked about adding more to their brood.

In fact, Jay told Hot 97’s Angie Martinez in July 2013 that "[they would like] a little basketball team".

Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

There are plenty of ways to lose wight if you feel like shedding the pounds, but these slimming diaries seem a little intense.

Stationary company Fox and Moon create slimming journals for those trying to stick to a diet and exercise plan.

The tomes include spaces to write your progress, weight and measurements, and can be personalised to have the dates of the event you want to slim down for, or a slimming mantra like 'no pizza before Ibiza.'

Charlotte Moor / Twitter

Some members of the plus-size and body confidence communities online have taken issue with some of the statements used on the diaries, and plus size fashion influencer Charlotte Moor has started a heated online debate about the language used to prompt weight loss on the stationary.

'Diet culture is so engrained into our minds that women actively want to be told they are a fat bitch in order to slim down. I can't even,' tweeted Charlotte.

A post shared by Fox & Moon Ltd (@fox_and_moon) on

'This is why plus size bloggers and fat acceptance movements are SO needed when things like this creep into our spaces.'

The diaries include phrases like 'stick to the plan piggy, 'do it for the "wow, you got hot!"' and 'don't listen to your inner fatty, she's an evil bitch.'

A post shared by Fox & Moon Ltd (@fox_and_moon) on

Others read 'I wasn't to skinny dip, not chunky dunk,' 'stop rewarding yourself with food, you're not a dog,' and 'don't stop until you're proud.'

‘For people struggling with eating disorders, phrases like this can be really damaging,’ Charlotte told Metro.co.uk.

‘I don’t think they realise that words like this can trigger damaging eating habits that can lead to serious health problems and death in some cases.'

A post shared by Fox & Moon Ltd (@fox_and_moon) on

‘They are running the risk of seriously damaging the health of those with eating disorders by using this kind of shaming language.’

Charlotte's opinion is shared by many on Twitter.

Some have even accused the brand of normalising slogans that are synonymous with the 'pro-anorexia' community online.

'This is the kind of stuff I used to say to myself when I was knee deep in my eating disorder,' said one.

However, others feel that the diaries are not harmful, and say that if adults want to buy a diet planner to maintain a weightless goal, then they should be able to do so.

Fox and Moon have not officially responded to Charlotte's posts, however, they did DM the blogger regarding her statements.

You’ll be surprised by the number of movies that have actually been inspired by books, from Me Before You to Trainspotting. Some of the greatest big screen hits have been adapted from novels, and manage to do the book justice more often than not.

However, there’s something special about reading the story before seeing it unfold on the big screen.

What I love about book to film adaptations is putting a face to the characters you’ve loved for so long. Yes, you may know how the film is going to end, but seeing those characters come to life in the cinema is such a special feeling. It also helps you connect with them more, because they’re no longer just descriptions on a page.

The familiarity of the story, the plot and the characters can also be a huge source of comfort for bookworms when watching their beloved tales on the big screen.

Today, I wanted to recommend a book that left me in floods of tears, but one I hold very close to my heart. It’s due to be made into a film in 2019, starring Elle Fanning, and you must read it before it’s cinematic release.

All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven:

What can I say about this book other than WOW. The young adult novel by the incredible Jennifer Niven is without a doubt one of the greatest books I’ve read. The way Jennifer writes about bipolar disorder, the importance of friendship and the fear of being judged is so striking.

A post shared by Jennifer Niven (@jenniferniven) on

All The Bright Places follows the lives of Theodore Finch and Violet Markey. Theodore aka Finch is completely fascinated with death. Suicide is always on his mind, but little things always stop him from killing himself.

Violet Markey is struggling with the untimely death of her sister. She spends her days daydreaming about the future and aches to escape her hometown so she can start her life all over again.

A post shared by Jennifer Niven (@jenniferniven) on

Violet and Finch meet on top of the ledge of the school’s bell tower. They quickly develop a friendship that finally lets them breathe for the first time and be who they’ve always wanted to be.

The pair decide to team up for a school project to discover the natural wonders’ of Indiana, but their wanderings teach them more about one another than their hometown.

Violet learns how to live in the moment through her friendship with Finch, but can her friendship keep him alive?

A post shared by Jennifer Niven (@jenniferniven) on

This novel will take hold of your heart from the very first page. The friendship between Finch and Violet is both mesmerising and heartbreaking. The constant discussion of mental health and suicide throughout this young adult novel is heavy, but necessary.

Author Jennifer Niven is in the pre-production stages of the movie, and is thankfully looking after the script.

A post shared by Jennifer Niven (@jenniferniven) on

Elle Fanning has been cast as Violet, and the producers have found their Finch. Harry Styles, Charlie Heaton and Cole Sprouse have all been rumoured to be playing Finch, so keep your eyes peeled, but in the meantime read this glorious novel, and make sure you have plenty of tissues beside you.

Ketty Quigley has been eating her way through the Irish capital for more than ten years and has been blogging about it for more than five.

Her successful blog French Foodie in Dublin got her to be named Food Influencer of the Year 2017 at the inaugural SHEmazing! Awards and she has been using her knowledge about the Dublin food scene to create Delicious Dublin Tours.

This is why when Ketty suggests a restaurant or a bar in Dublin, we are listening carefully!

For SHEmazing!, the French lady is sharing some of her favourite places in Dublin and also how she balances out her taste for rich food.

What is your typical weekday breakfast?

I eat porridge every morning for breakfast, it’s great fuel after an early morning run and the only breakfast that keeps me full enough until lunch!

I like putting lots of different toppings in my porridge: seasonal fruits, nuts, dried fruits, seeds and anything that makes it a bit less boring.

When the weather is warmer I struggle to eat porridge and replace it with yoghurt and fruits.

What about lunch?

My office is only a 7 minute walk away from my place so I go home and most of the time I either eat the leftovers from the night before or I quickly cook something with what I have in the fridge and pantry.

I often make salad bowls with a base of grains (I love couscous) or starch and whatever vegetables I have in handy. I don’t have a typical lunch, it could be a nice salad, pasta carbonara or even avocado on sourdough toast with sriracha if I don’t have much time.

Sometimes though I sneak into 147 Deli for one of their delicious sandwiches, as a treat!

Tasty leftovers for lunch: chicken with caramelised onions and cardamom rice (@ottolenghi's recipe). Now it's time to get out and enjoy that Dublin sunshine!

A post shared by French Foodie in Dublin – Blog (@frenchfoodieindublin) on

What do you usually have for dinner?

Dinner is better because I have more time and always cook something from scratch. I love using Jamie Oliver’s cookbooks or the Ballymaloe course cookbook to find inspiration in the evening and cook something simple but tasty.

There’s very often something meaty and a bit of veg, although my husband and I tend to eat too many carbs (I’m a sucker for pasta and potatoes). Dinner can be duck confit with gratin dauphinois and a green salad or lamb koftas with a cucumber and tomato salad.

I like cooking lots of different things, it relaxes me in the evening.

Is it different at the weekend?

I really treat myself at the weekend… I cook nice brunches and I usually eat out at least once during the weekend.

This is the time of the week when I splurge in Fallon and Byrne or Temple Bar Food Market, cook and eat indulgent things!

A very French start to the day @fallonandbyrne before getting stuck into my wedding 'to do' list!

A post shared by French Foodie in Dublin – Blog (@frenchfoodieindublin) on

Do you snack during the day?

I rarely snack during the day, just because I never buy snacks when I go food shopping. I’m human though and sometimes I have something small like a macaron or a piece of dark chocolate.

There’s one exception though, when I’m hungover I could snack all day long, but that doesn’t happen too often…

What would be your ideal food day?

The bacon sandwich from the Pepper Pot for brunch, dinner at Forest and Marcy and cocktails at Peruke and Periwig.

Chargrilled & pickled courgettes, basil, buttermilk, spiced crab

A post shared by ForestandMarcy (@forestandmarcy) on

The one food you could have everyday for the rest of your life?

Moliterno al tartufo, a truffle cheese from Sardinia.

What is your favourite dessert?

Floating islands – it’s been a favourite of mine since my childhood, but very few places ever have it on their menu.

What is your favourite meal of the day?

It only happens at the weekend, but my favourite meal has to be brunch. I associate brunch with having time off and being relaxed, and just love putting together something simple and flavoursome.

Your favourite restaurant in Dublin/Ireland/the world?

Forest and Marcy, the chef is talented and creative and I love the casual atmosphere.

Closely followed by Delahunt and Etto, they’re very consistent and showcase Dublin’s vibrant and emerging food scene.

The best brunch place in Dublin?

My apartment, that’s why I rarely eat out for brunch.

Any 'food pet peeves'?

This might be controversial but I’m not a big fan of people who self-diagnose themselves with food intolerance.

I also don’t really understand people who call themselves ‘foodies’ yet have a long list of things they don’t eat.

What food would you not eat for the whole world?

I know it’s likely to become the food of the future but I’m scared of eating insects. I’m sure I will try at some stage but yes, I still have a mental block.

What can we always find in your fridge?

Nduja – this spreadable pork salami from Italy is delicious on pizza, as a pasta sauce or even just lightly grilled on bread, I could eat it all day.

Sriracha – I love siracha sauce as it spices up any meal.

Irish butter – Ireland has some of the best butter in the world so I’ll always have at least one big stick of Irish butter at home.

You have friends over for dinner, what do you cook for them?

I love having friends over for dinner and never cook the same thing.

It could be homemade pizzas, a crepe or raclette party, a Middle Eastern feast, traditional French food or lots of tapas… I like changing the theme of my dinner parties!

Do you find it hard to eat a healthy diet in a daily basis?

Yes… because I tend to be a bit too much of an Epicurean! I don’t eat junk or processed food but I tend to eat homemade food that is quite rich.

I’m conscious that I don’t eat as much vegetables as I should be eating and I don’t drink enough water but I exercise a lot. I never feel guilty though, food is pleasure for me and life is short!

What is your guilty pleasure?

A dirty burger from Wowburger.

We’re not fat, just big bun-ed! #Wowburger #InstaGood #LoveDublin #LoveBurgers #DublinDaily

A post shared by WOWBURGER (@wowburgerdublin) on

What is you go-to drink in a bar/pub?

When I go to the pub, I try to order craft beer and usually an IPA, whenever possible.

I mostly go to one of the Galway Brewery pubs, I love their double IPA ‘Of Foam and Fury’. I never drink wine in pubs or bars but I love a good cocktail sometimes.

Your favourite place for a drink in Dublin?

I like the Black Sheep and P. Mac's for beer, Peruke and Periwig or the Vintage Cocktail Club for cocktails.

If you needed another reason to love Margot Robbie (which we don't tbh) then the news that she is obsessed with a certain famous wizard should do the job.

Yes, Margot has admitted that her interest in all things Harry Potter might have taken an extreme turn.

She divulged to the Evening Standard that her hen party had a Potter theme running through it…in the form of a stripper.

Yes, you read that right.

The 28-year-old got hitched to British assistant director Tom Ackerley in December 2016, but not before her hen do took place in Aus, with 45 of her girlfriends.

She explained to the magazine, ''[the Clapham crowd] are a rowdy bunch and the combination was explosive. They hired a Harry Potter-themed stripper for me; he had all the Harry Potter phrases and innuendoes. I was so touched, it was really such a thoughtful thing to do. They know me so well."

(The Clapham Crowd are a group of friends she used to live with in London btw.)

She went on to talk about how she has been reading about the world of Hogwarts on a loop since she was eight-years-old and it has always helped her to fall asleep.

"I know what’s coming next when I turn the page. I can’t meditate and this is what I have to do to fall asleep,'' she explained.

''If I read something new before I go to bed, my brain goes 1,000 miles an a hour. Reading Harry Potter makes me happy and calms me. I read for about an hour to two hours every night. My husband hates it,'' she continued.

In other news, Margot looks set to make her mark as Queen Elizabeth I in Mary, Queen of Scots alongside Saoirse Ronan, who will take on the role of Mary.

The trailer shows an unrecognisable Margot as the Virgin Queen, clad in a red wig and a painted white face.

Margot told Entertainment Weekly that, “everyone manipulated their relationship. It's complicated, it’s tragic, and it’s bizarre. The only other person in the world who could understand the position they were in was each other.”

Both women look perfectly cast don't they? We must say, we're pretty excited about this one!
