Most single girls can be broken down into two main categories: those who secretly (or not so secretly) want a relationship and those who love being single more than Kim Kardashian loves her own arse. But whether you think you want a relationship or you think love is vile, you are likely to think about it in some shape or form.

Here are the thoughts every single girl will have about relationships:

1. “Thank God that’s not me”

tumblr_mn685xGtpU1s9knz8o3_250This is usually said about those couples who, for some unknown reason, are still together despite holding on to a large amount of hatred for their respective other halves. This is nearly always brought out in force on a night out, resulting in everyone else just feeling a bit awkward and wishing they weren’t there. Totes awks.

2. “I wish that was me.”

tumblr_n5sfwe0XoL1r6qtnno1_500Usually uttered (hopefully not aloud) in the company of those horrifically perfect couples that everyone secretly hates. They look perfect together, so perfect that you know that the one child they’ll have three years into their marriage will be a beautiful culmination of two beautiful gene-pools. They get on perfectly together, they are perfect. Now we can all feel perfectly nauseous together.

3. “Men are pricks”

tumblr_n5f4tg31lZ1sfhy94o1_500There comes a point in all womens lives when we detest men with every fibre of our being. This is especially true of single women. The wanker brigade is usually out in force on a drunken night out and the slurs fly faster than Sonia O’ Sullivan around the tracks down in Mosney. Insulting us is uncalled for. You’re not that hot anyway. Fool.

4. “I’m going to die alone”

tumblr_n0r27wOQ801s6ic8bo1_500Women are not being dramatic when we think we’re going to die alone. For all intents and purposes, this really amps up when we hit old age, usually around 23. You just have to log on to Facebook and boom, oh there’s another damned person in a relationship.

5. “Where do people FIND these men?”

tumblr_inline_mt2lg60lg71ry3wlgHave you ever just gone for a stroll around town and noticed how many couples there are? Of course you have.

6. “All the good ones are taken”

ryab

Well that is just nonsense and you know it. There are very many beautiful men out there with manners and they’re just waiting for you girl, you just need to get out there and mingle like the single Pringle that you are.

7. “Please don’t ask me if I’m still single”

tumblr_m3u62jMohg1qebseoo1_500Any single girl out there will know the pain of family events where, religiously, one-by-one, your aunts will line up and enquire about your love life.

8. “Is there something wrong with me?”

tumblr_mce0ymJJ9G1rn4jhdo1_500

There will come a stage, a stage during which you’ve probably got zero action, when you’ll begin to think “is there something wrong with me?” There is nothing wrong with you. It is the men that are to blame of course.

9. “I’d definitely be bored”

tumblr_mmgzprdzLI1spvpzwo1_500

Once you’ve been single for a while, you almost forget what it’s like to be with the same person for a long stretch of time. You’ve been in your single stride for quite some time now, on the pull on nights out, being free and always on the prowl. You look at couples who’ve been together for ages and wonder how they’re not bored of one another. Just reassure yourself that they most definitely are. In fact, they probably detest one another.

Uh oh, didn’t she predict this?

It looks like Jennifer Lawrence has angered A LOT of people with an inappropriate joke she made at the Cannes Film Festival recently.

When Jen was approached by Gravity director, Alfonso Cuarón, at a party, she was overheard saying to him: “I broke out my rape scream for you!”

As much as we love Jennifer, we don’t think it’s ever okay to joke about rape, on any level.

The actress had previously said in an interview with Marie Claire that her time at the top may be coming to an end: “Nobody can stay beloved forever. I never believed it. The whole time I was like, just wait: People are going to get sick of me.”

Eek, could this be the end of the love affair between Jen and the public?

If you haven’t heard about No7’s latest anti-ageing product, Protect and Perfect Advanced serum, you must have been  hiding under a rock!

The latest addition to their Protect and Perfect range has been met with raving reviews, so SHEmazing! caught up with Irish woman Orla Wardlaw to talk about whether or not it actually worked.

Orla was one of eight women who took part in the Four Weeks, No Mirrors challenge to showcase just how much the serum changes your appearance.

The women were given the appropriate serum for their skin and at the same time all mirrors were removed from their lives so they couldn’t see their face.

Like most of us when it comes to a new product, Orla was a little sceptical about how good the serum could actually be.

However, after just three weeks, Orla says she could feel changes in her skin, especially in her frown line. And while she couldn’t see these changes until the four weeks was up, they were pronounced enough to be able to feel.

Orla’s typical skin care regime consisted of just washing her face and moisturising, but now she raves about the silky, soft texture of her skin thanks to the No7 serum.

Applying four pea sized amount every morning and evening, Orla was absolutely thrilled with the results.

While she admits the biggest thing to come out of the challenge is the glow that the serum gives to her skin, she was especially thrilled when she was confident enough with her skin to go into work make-up free.

Sounds like we need to get ourselves some of this!

Whether you’re in Mary I, St. Pats, Marino, or any other form of “teacher training” college, you know that we as the future educators of our nation’s youth have a variety of problems that others just don’t understand. From placement to assignments, we’re subjected to a variety of problems that you just won’t find anywhere else. So here is just a sample of the many student teacher problems faced every year:

1. The subjects

Confused-Little-Girl-Is-At-Loss-For-Words

Upon entering college as freshers, students are expecting to be challenged in terms of learning and amounts of alcohol consumed and while it’s safe to say the latter is most definitely true, the subjects studied can sometimes leave a lot to be desired for.

2. The stale jokes

laughing

“Teaching? I suppose you’re only in it for the holidays!” Every. Time.

3. Spotting pupils in public

molly-cant-hide

Don’t make eye contact, don’t make eye contact…Damn. Queue awkward wave.

4. Studying for exams

Joel-Mchale-Doesnt-Know-How-To-Study-on-Community-Gif

Nothing is quite like a group of student teachers studying for upcoming exams. Tensions run high, people break down and you begin to convince yourself that primary school Irish has definitely gotten harder.

5. Explaining the course to your friends

confused-princess-jasmine

There is nothing quite like the look on your friends faces when you explain you can’t go out because you have to make a powerpoint based on two websites for kids. There is little joy in having to explain your course to your friends simply because they will refuse to believe that what you do is tough, which makes the fact you barely passed a module even worse.

6. Placement

britney-confused - Copy

This is what every student teacher looks forward to. THIS is why you wanted to do teaching right? To stand up at the top of the class and see students learning material for the first time. You taught them this, they’d be nothing without your charts and materials and worksheets.

What nobody tells you is that those charts, materials and worksheets take time. Spending 4+ hours preparing materials for the following day became a reoccurring ritual and the sound of a printer churning out worksheet after worksheets can make even the sanest person begin shouting nonsensical abuse at the machine.

Lord help you if you run out of ink or laminator sheets after the shops close.

Oh no, poor Iggy Azalea!

The rapper was performing on Dancing With The Stars when she had an earpiece mishap.

Iggy was forced to pause the performance of her hit singe, Fancy, and declare: “I’m so sorry but there’s something wrong with my ears.”

As she knows all too well, the show must go on, and Iggy recovered her on-stage performance like a boss.

The star later tweeted a further apology, saying: “I am so sorry guys! My in ears messed up and I couldn’t hear the track. The dramas of live TV. S*** happens. Still really enjoyed it.”

She definitely pulled it off, unlike a lot of other singers we know. Yes, we’re looking at you Ashlee Simpson…

Most single gals dread the moment they’re asked about their relationship status.

And some cheeky so-and-so’s go as far as to ask WHY you’re single – to which you list work commitment, toxic exes, ‘standards’ and just generally revelling in your single fabulousness!

Well, now a new Facebook button lets your friends ask you if and WHY you’re single, and vice versa!

The ‘ask’ button appears on the profiles of users who have left their relationship status blank.

Once you’re sent an ‘ask’ request, you’ll receive a notification that says: ‘Hello! I am wondering about your relationship!’

You can either ignore it or respond, with the option of sending it back to you directly or sharing it with the general public.

While the social media site has had an option to ‘ask’ for a friend’s phone number, address and email for a while now, the relationship status ‘ask’ button is a new development – and not everyone is happy about it.

One person wrote on Twitter, “If Facebook wasn’t already the biggest invasion of privacy, you can now “ask” people about their relationship status.”

Others called it ‘naggy’ with one person writing, “How awkward is that Facebook devoted a single button to ask your friends why they’re single?”

Hmmmm…we’re not sure how we feel about this ourselves!
