For every great relationship you see, there are a dozen bad ones, and it's usually because someone hasn't honest with themselves about what they want. If you’re having doubts about your relationship, make sure you’re not in it for the wrong reasons.

You don’t want to be alone

One of the most important steps to loving yourself is to love your own company. If you can’t stand spending time by yourself you need to examine why. Do you really love him or are you using him to drown out your inner monologue?

You’ve already been together for years

This is what’s known as the 'sunk cost fallacy'. It doesn’t matter that you’ve been together one, two or five years. That time is gone, and it shouldn’t affect your decision. You should only consider the future in a relationship. What do you want for the next five years? Don’t stay with someone just because it’s easier.

You want a relationship

There’s nothing wrong with wanting a boyfriend, but make sure it’s not clouding your judgement. Ask yourself, are you together because you really want to be with this person, or because you just want to be with someone?

All your friends are in relationships.

Ah, our old friend peer pressure. As you get older, you’ll notice your friends start to pair off and fade away from the social scene. When you find yourself the only single person in your group, it can be tempting to find someone just to be part of the club. It is a waste of your time though. Find yourself more friends, not a placeholder boyfriend.

Let’s hope this is one relationship with a happy ending!

A new study by the journal Public Health Nutrition has revealed that people consume up to 200 extra calories when they eat out instead of eating at home.

The study looked at the habits of 12,000 people aged 20 to 64, and found that the days they chose to eat at a fast food restaurant, they consumed an extra 194.49 calories, saturated fat by 3.48 grams, sugar by 3.95 grams and salt by 296.38 mgs.

Going somewhere a bit fancier wasn’t any better either, in fact it was worse! People who dined at a table service restaurant consumed an extra 205.21 calories, and with higher intake of saturated fat by 2.52 grams and salt by 451.06 mgs.

Well, there go our dinner plans!

Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams (63) was found dead in his California home yesterday morning after an apparent suicide.

A call was made to police at 11.55am local time, and emergency services arrived on the scene in five minutes. A statement from Marin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed:

“The male subject, pronounced dead at 12:02am, has been identified as Robin McLaurin Williams, a 63-year-old resident of unincorporated Tiburon.”

It is thought that Williams’ death was a suicide due to asphyxia, but an investigation has yet to be carried out.

The actor is said to have been struggling with severe depression.

His wife Susan Schneider said in a statement: “This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”

Our thoughts go out to Robin’s family and friends at this awful time.

Things are getting a little bit heated in the X-Factor judges tent now that Cheryl Fernandez-Versin is back on the show.

First on Cheryl's agenda was Spice Girls’ Mel B who was mocked as “Softie Spice” for her kindness to the contestants.

Then she turned on Louis Walsh, upping the ante on the standard insult of two-faced – calling him “50-faced”. That’s a lot of faces, even for Louis.

Cheryl's next victim wasn’t the final judge, Simon Cowell, but the audience!

Booing her for her choice of which 6 contestants to bring to the Judges house, Cheryl blew a raspberry shouting, “Oh boo you!”

"If I had six girls who all sang amazingly it would be boring to watch.”

"I want characters, I want personality.”

Yikes. Hopefully she’s a bit friendlier to the contestants she did pick.

When it comes to choosing a hotel for our holidays we normally go for the cheapest one we can find. That being said, we certainly would never say no to a night in one of these.

The world’s most expensive hotel suite is the Royal Penthouse Suite at Hotel President Wilson in Geneva. For £40,000 a night you can sleep in the same bed that Rihanna slept in. However, you do get value for money with four bedrooms, 12 marble bathrooms, bullet proof windows and your own security team.

You’ll find the world’s most expensive suite in India, the Maharajah’s Pavilion at the Raj Palace Hotel in Jaipur to be exact. For just £27,000 you will be treated to mirror walls, a jacuzzi and gold leaf decor.

In third place is the Ty Warner Penthouse Suite at the Four Seasons in New York City.  Here you will be treated to 360° views of the city and your very own butler and Rolls-Royce. Nice.

According to Jack Ezon, you get what you pay for: “It’s not so much about the suite — it’s about the lifestyle it offers. It’s about the service and staff and what they can get you at a moment’s notice. You want to go to the Chanel show in Paris? It’s that kind of access you get.”

Teenagers of the world had a bit of a meltdown when it was revealed that despite all the voting online, the winners are actually picked by the producers, not the audience.

The jig was up for the show runners when “Choice Viner” Cameron Dallas – upset that he lost out on the big “Web Star” award to YouTube’s Tyler Oakley – decided to tweet the truth.

“It’s funny how they told me I won the viner award 6 days before the voting ended and made the runners up still vote to tweet for them,” Cameron wrote.

Uh oh.

It turns out all the voting and promotion by the nominees so they can win, but just free advertising for the show. The winners are picked long before the voting ends.

The Teen Choice Awards confirmed this to be the case in a statement:

“The results of the voting were tabulated electronically by Teenchoiceawards.com and confirmed by a committee of Fox representatives. Teenasaurus Rox Inc had the right to determine the winners from among the top four vote getters of the nominees in each of the 88 categories. Ultimate choice was determined by the producers.”

The X-Factor is still real though, right? RIGHT?

Nicholas Sparks is breaking our hearts all over again. The trailer for his latest book turned film The Best of Me has been released and it has a lot in common with The Notebook.

Michelle Monaghan and James Marsden play lovers who were torn apart by society, but find each other again 20 years later.

Sparks has obviously figured out a template that works for his stories, and he’s sticking with it. Not that we mind – we love a good tear-jerker around here!

There seems no end to the eccentricities of this young pop star but at least for once it’s PG.

Still grieving the loss of her dog Floyd, Miley Cyrus has added a new member to her family – a piglet!

Miley’s porky pal is called Bubba Sue, and we must admit it is ridiculously cute. Miley showed off her new pet on Instagram and may already be sparking a new piggy pet trend.

In the 1980s a huge trend for pet turtles was started by the popularity of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Miley might be starting a similar boom for pigs.

Things ended badly for the poor turtles however, when kids realised that real turtles didn’t fight evil and couldn’t hold a nunchuck.

We just hope Miley reminds her fans that pigs are for life, not just for Chris… er… August.
