With the nation gone crazy with Hinch Hauls and Hinching your homes, Charlene Flanagan otherwise known as Mrs.Jones has some top tips to declutter your makeup stash.

Charlene recommends doing this every six to 12 months, it not only will help keep your routine organised, your skin and brushes healthier, but you will more than likely start to use different products you completely forgot about you had which feels like you have a new makeup bag.

1. Beauty Bootcamp

Start by sorting your makeup into piles. Eg. lipsticks, palettes, pencils, samples etc. Once you see where everything is it’s easier to get rid of unwanted items and you are one step closer to decluttering your makeup stash.

2. Keep, Throw, Maybe

Now that you have organised the piles arrange them into Keep, Throw & Maybe piles.

Take into consideration that every product has an after open shelf life. Can you remember when you bought each product?

Did you know you should replace your mascara every three months!? Taking note of expiry dates will avoid nasty infections, breakouts, cracked lips etc. Be strong, be brutal!

Mrs. Jones’ Top Tip:  If you're really struggling with this task, book in a private one to one with a makeup artist who will guide you on what does and doesn’t suit you.

3. Separate your makeup bags

Separating your makeup bags into your everyday essential products and your going out/occasion wear products will not only simplify your routine but it will make getting out the door in the morning so much quicker.

Mrs. Jones’ Top Tip: Buy yourself clear makeup bags so you can easily see where everything is and also they can be easily wiped clean.

4. Keep your brushes squeaky clean

Your makeup brushes are a breeding ground for bacteria. It could be the cause of bumpy skin, blemish/acne prone skin, infections, etc.

Not only will you find your skin improved but your makeup will apply so much better and your brushes will last so much longer – if you don't want to get messy with your shampoo bottle, Ella & Jo have an UNREAL Squeaky Clean Brush Cleanser to keep your brush bristles pristine.

5. Reward yourself for spring cleaning

Your reward of course is a little well deserved treat. Repurchase any products that have passed the expiry date/shelf life and treat yourself to some organising accessories e.g Clutterboxes, Drawer Separators, Lipstick Holders, Makeup Brush Holders. Do this after you have organised your stash so you know exactly what you need when it's all organised.

The sun is fading fast and the temperature is dropping (sigh), but there is still a way to cling onto the summer with the right beauty buys.

A bright lip, golden tan and sun-kissed freckles will make you feel as if you're in sunny Spain – even if you're in the damp and dreary hills of Ireland.

So if you want to re-live summer, check out the make-up essentials that will brighten up your day.

Lipstick

Never under-estimate the power of a bold lip. If you want a post-summer glow, embrace a bright lip colour that you normally wouldn't try. Stand out in shades of pink, orange or red to really make a statement.

White nails

If you still have a tan from your summer holidays, dare to try the white marble nail trend. It will perfectly compliment your sun-kissed glow… even if it's fake.

Turquoise

If you really want to stand out from the dull crowd, opt for a turquoise liner on your eyelids. This is the ultimate beauty-buy to remind yourself – and everyone else – of the blue skies and seas of summer.

Golden glow

For the best golden glow, go for a duo palette, like this one from Nars, where you can choose what tonal colours you want. Use the darker colour in places that the sun would hit like the nose, chin and cheeks and then save the lighter colour to run along your cheekbones.

You'd swear you only came back from holidays yesterday.

It is no secret that Reese Witherspoon always looks gorgeous, but we particularly adored her make-up look for the 2015 MTV Movie Awards on April 12.

Reese's make-up artist, Molly Stern, has shared the top tips and beauty secrets for getting her red carpet ready and we cannot wait to try them out ourselves.

Molly said: "For tonight's look I wanted the focus to be on Reese's eyes. By keeping her skin looking super fresh and natural, and the lips bright but sheer, I was able to keep the attention on her smoldering liner and bright eye color."

She began by hydrating her skin with Natura Bisse C+C Vitamin Complex Mist and Kiehl's Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence, which is launching in July 2015. She then created a base to start from by applying Kiehl's Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate.

For some areas she applied Chantecaille Rose de Mai Face Oil and mixed medium and light shades of Kiehl's Skin Tone Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream in order to let her own flawless skin show.

Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Embrace was used to shape Reese's bone structure and she then added colour to the apples of her cheeks only using Christopher Kane for NARS in Starscape.

For creating the area she wanted to mainly focus on, Reese's eyes, she based her lids with Dior Fusion Mono Eyeshadow in Taupe and applied NARS Bengali matte eyeshadow to her lash line. The upper and lower eye line was lined by smudging Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Star Black 1L. Her lashes were then curled with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler and applied DiorShow Iconic Overcurl Mascara in Black. The result being that her eyes were quite smokey and striking.

Reese's lips were based in Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour in Coral Reef and then made to shine by applying ColourPop Hyper Glossy Lippie Stix in Juicy.

Waking up the morning after the night before can be a bit scary – mascara everywhere, lipstick smeared across your face and foundation patches on your cheeks. While making yourself look somewhat presentable requires a bit of effort, these steps will go a long way to ensure you look alive.

Have a shower
First things first, have a shower. There is nothing better than a shower to perk you up.

Moisturise
Moisturise like your life depended on it. Alcohol will leave your skin dehydrated and you need to hydrate your skin as much as you can.

Light foundation
Don’t pile on the foundation. it will just make you look more tired. A light tinted moisturiser is ideal or even just some concealer to hide blemishes and bags under your eyes.

Work on your lashes
The next thing you need to do is work on your lashes. Curl them with an eye lash curler and then lightly apply mascara. Don’t overdo it though as they will end up looking clumpy and top heavy.

Blusher
Finally, give yourself some much needed colour by sweeping blusher across your cheeks.

Now you are ready to face the world. Well, once your stomach settles down a bit.

Lovely Girlie Bits is run by Irish sisters Karen and Joanne Constantine who have a passion for all things beauty and fashion. Their blog is full of tips on make-up, skincare, hair care and fashion and is written with a hilarious tone that will keep you informed and laughing at the same time.

SHEmazing! caught up with Karen who let us in on her beauty secrets and tips:

What is your best budget beauty buy?
There are so many great quality beauty bits out there on the market but if I had to pick just one, it'd have to be Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water.  It's fantastic for removing make-up in a jiffy and because it's always on special offer, there's no excuse not to pick up a bottle and start taking your make-up off each night!

What is your top makeup tip?
I'm going to cheat and give a general beauty tip and a make-up tip because I'm bold! If there's one thing I tell everyone who'll listen to me, it's to ditch the make-up wipes. My skin was literally transformed within three weeks of not using them and cleansing my face properly. My top make-up tip is to blend. Blend your foundation, blend your blush, blend your eyeshadow, blend your bronzer and you will have flawless makeup.

Most girls have much-loved lipstick, what's yours?
Asking me to pick one lipstick is like asking me to pick my favourite child. Thankfully, I've no children and my lipsticks don't get their feelings hurt when I play favourites, so at the moment I'm loving Clarins Joli Rouge in Coral Tulip and The Body Shop Colour Crush Shine in Sunset Romance. I'm more of a gloss girl at heart though and am obsessed with YSL's Gloss Volupte in Beige Nu from the Black Fetish collection and all of the Colour Elixir Glosses from Max Factor.

What was your very first perfume and what are you currently wearing?
I'm obsessed with perfumes and I thank my parents for that. My dad had more fragrances than any other man I know and even now my mam has a bottle of the first ever perfume I bought and that's Anais Anais! How I didn't choke people with the smell of it is beyond me but I loved it. Right now I'm wearing L'Occitane's Cherry Blossom and it is amazing. Although I've only had it a few weeks, it's the one to beat this year!

You're only allowed to use three make-up products for the rest of your life – what are they?
Mascara. I have beady villainous eyes without mascara and it's my desert island product hands down. Wearing it defines my eyeballs, makes me look awake and resemble a human being! Next is a base. I'm embracing wearing a lighter coverage on my skin and so I'd be happy to use Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream for the rest of my life. It makes my skin look healthy and radiant. Finally, I'd need a coral lip. Either of the two corals I mentioned above would be fine by me and I'd be able to use them as a blush too!

Check out Lovely Girlie Bits and don’t forget to follow the girls on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

When it comes to beauty, there are a few things that you need to remember to do in order to make your make-up go on quicker, last longer and look flawless.

Make sure you know these five make-up tips before you put any cosmetics near your face:

Eyeshadow before foundation
Put your eyeshadow on before your foundation. Powder always falls onto your face but this way you can easily wipe it away without ruining your foundation.

Concealer before foundation
Dab your concealer on areas that need it the most and then put your foundation on. Concealer costs more than foundation so use more concealer and less foundation.

Curl your eyelashes
Before you put on your mascara, make sure you curl your lashes. This way you are sure to have the ultimate curl without using five or six layers of mascara!

Always moisturise
Whether you have oily or dry skin you need to moisturise it. Dab a little on your face before you put on your foundation but make sure it is rubbed in first.

Never forget your blusher
When we say don’t forget your blusher we don’t mean you need to go out looking like a doll. A little swept across your cheeks will bring your whole look together.

Ever since Zooey Deschanel first appeared in Elf, our love for her has simply grown. She has a gorgeous, retro style that we all lust over, especially those eyes – her eyes are simply stunning!

While a lot of it is down to genes, there is a way to achieve her look with make-up.

Base
Make sure you moisturise your skin to give it that dewy look we all lust after. An illuminating moisturiser is great if you have one.

Foundation
Zooey never looks caked in make-up, so make sure you don’t over-do it on the foundation. A creamy foundation is a must as it will allow you to accentuate Zooey’s immaculate dewy skin.

Eyebrows
Full, neat brows are a must so fill those brows in.

Eyeshadow
To achieve the New Girl star’s gorgeous eyes, start with a nude colour eyeshadow and apply a little gold for definition.

Eyeliner
Zooey’s eyes are always popping so use your liquid eyeliner across the top and bottom eye rims.

Mascara
Finish your eyes off with lashings of mascara for full lashes.

Blusher
Make those cheeks pop by sweeping rose blusher across them.

Lips
Finish the look off with a coat of clear or subtle pink gloss.

All this talk of Coachella has got us thinking about summer music festivals. There is nothing quite like sitting under the sun with a beer in one hand, listening to your favourite bands.

However, it is important that you have your make-up down to a tee so you don’t have to worry about it or keep topping it up.

Concealer
Concealer is handy for hiding blemishes and spots. Pop one into your bag for quick touch ups during the day if necessary.

Tinted moisturiser
A tinted moisturiser is great for giving you light weight coverage without the feeling of heavy foundation. Use one with an added SPF to protect from the sun at the same time.

Lip gloss
A little lip gloss will make you look gorgeous even if you are feeling a little worse for wear.

Waterproof mascara
It will no doubt rain at least once during the festival so waterproof mascara is a must to avoid panda eyes.

Blusher
Nothing completes your look like a little blusher across your cheeks. A light natural colour will make you look like you didn’t apply make-up at all.
