It’s that time of year again! When the temperature can be described as mild and the sun peeks from behind the clouds for a few days. So what do we Irish do?

1. Go for a drink
Seems to be the typical Irish response to most things, but if it’s sunny outside you’re bound to hear “it’s drinking weather” or “few pints?” at some stage. Similarly to when it’s snowing outside when you’ll hear “it’s drinking weather” and “few hot whiskies?”

This, my friend, is a pint2. Wear less clothes
Finally you can actually leave the house WITHOUT A COAT. If you’re a young wan you’ll probably go out without most of your trousers too as you pull out the short shorts after a  disproving lecture from your mother. You better not forget the umbrella though, let’s not kid ourselves: we’re still in Ireland.

hot pants3. Get a 99
Sure we couldn’t be out enjoying the sun splitting the stones without a 99?? HA??!!

99 cone4. Buy new sunglasses
The temperature is tipping 8 degrees. It’s OK everyone, we have our new sunglasses. Can we get a selfie?

“We didn’t take a selfie the first time. Plus I’m only wearing my sunglasses now. You didn’t check us in on Facebook the first time either?”

It’s sunny this week so it means this could be our week of summer arriving early. No time to waste then, we have a lot to squeeze in. Better head to the beach pronto, those bikini photos won’t take themselves. Plus that’s another place we can drink.

It’s barely hot but after the fifth phone call about your “fair skin” from your mother you relented and put on the factor 50. Now it feels like it’s approximately one million degrees outside and you’re sticking to everything in sight.

The sun came out today. So logically everyone must be tanned today. Thank God it comes in a bottle. What’s that you say? You tan naturally? You don’t belong here.

There’s great drying in that weather. Sure aren’t we only delighted?

You’re the one who didn’t listen to your mother about the factor 50. Now you get to listen to your friends instead as they take the piss out of your beautiful beetroot complexion which really compliments your ginger hair.

Can you believe this young blonde grew up to be burlesque bombshell, Dita Von Teese? Us neither!

Dita, who is known for her dark hair, porcelain skin and retro wardrobe, uploaded this vintage snap of herself as a teenager.

The burlesque dancer and lingerie designer uploaded the image to her Instagram account with the caption: “Found this pic of me sunbathing, age 16. I still love the beach, but these days I prefer to enjoy it with sun protection or by moon-bathing in a black swimsuit paired with diamonds.”

We can’t imagine Dita looking anything different to how she does now, but this photo really makes us wonder what could have been!

Lauren Goodger has landed herself in some big trouble following an Instagram snap she shared that turned out to be of someone else.

The reality TV star shared the image on her Instagram account with the caption: “Nightmare wife.”

When followers pointed out that the image was in fact of US model, Carmen Ortega, Lauren promptly deleted the image.

Lauren’s Instagram followers also pointed out that she has lightened the photo and widened Carmen’s waist in her version of the photo.

Carmen has now spoken out about the incident, saying that legal trouble could be ahead: “We’ve never met and now this could end up in court. I am speaking with my attorney. I have already offered her the chance to publicly apologise, but she won’t.”

Looks like things are going from bad to worse for poor Lauren!

It seems Gwyneth Paltrow is back in the driving seat after her ‘conscious uncoupling’ from hubby Chris Martin, as she lands a very exciting movie role!

The Oscar winner will co-star with 12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor in the high-profile remake of the Spanish movie The Secret In Their Eyes, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2009.

The crime thriller will be shot this autumn in Boston.

Ejiofor will play a former MI-5 agent who returns to Boston on a joint task force with the FBI, still obsessed by the unsolved murder that continues to haunt him.

Gripping!

Gwyneth has reportedly been lined up to play Irene, who works in the Justice Department.

The movie has an impressive crew attached already, with Billy Ray – the Oscar nominated writer of Captain Phillips and The Hunger Games – set to direct from his own screenplay adapted from Juan José Campanella’s version.

It has been revealed that Michelle Williams has split from her boyfriend, Dustin Yellin.

The actress had been dating the contemporary artist for a year, but reports of their split began to circulate after she attended last week’s Met Gala alone.

Dustin was also absent for the opening night of Michelle’s theatre show, Cabaret, leading to further rumours.

Michelle also dated Jason Segal until February 2013 – we liked them together, perhaps they may see more of each other now!

And he may be on his way in the fashion world, as Taylor has just revealed his new sunglasses range, along with his best friend Charlie Morris

Hugo recently spoke about what it was like to work for their company, Taylor Morris Eyewear.

“I am extremely proud of having their support but Charlie and I still get the biggest buzz when we walk down the street and see a passer by wearing one of our frames. We are both extremely creative people and this is the ultimate affirmation for us.”

It looks like Taylor’s new eyewear is already a hit, as the brand already has a few celebrity fans which include Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne and Pippa Middleton.

Healthy and delicious chocolate treats can be impossible to find, especially if you’re intolerant to gluten. But here is a recipe that is not only flour free but delicious too. To make it even better, it is not only perfect for those who have an intolerance to gluten, but for vegans as well.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 tbsp. flaxseeds
  • 2 tbsp. unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 can low sodium black beans
  • 1/2 large ripe avocado
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 95g dark brown sugar
  • 30g unsweetened vegan cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 30g vegan chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp. coconut oil

What you’ll need to do:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F/180°C and then grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Place flaxseeds and almond milk into a bowl and mix until ingredients form a smooth batter and almond milk thickens up a bit, about 1 minute. Then add drained and rinsed black beans, avocado, vanilla, and brown sugar and process again until smooth. Add in cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder and process again until the batter is smooth and thick.
  3. If batter is way too thick and won’t process, you can add in another tablespoon or two of milk. This batter needs to be very thick in order to produce fudgy brownies.
  4. Add batter into prepared pan and use a spatula to spread evenly to sides.
  5. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the cup chocolate chips and coconut oil for 30-45 seconds to melt chocolate. Stir until smooth, then pour over top of batter. Use a knife to swirl chocolate into batter a few times.
  6. Bake for 22-30 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out somewhat clean. You will know they’re done, if the top of the batter should be completely set and no longer jiggle. Let the brownies cool completely on a wire rack then cut into 12 bars.

Justin Bieber is reportedly being investigated by police for an attempted robbery!

WHAT THE…?!

The 20-year-old pop star is believed to have got into an incident with a young woman who he thought was taking photos him on her mobile phone on Monday while he was in playing mini golf near his home in LA.

The woman claims Justin demanded to see her phone so he could delete the pictures, and when she refused he grabbed it from her bag.

She began ”wrestling” with the star for the phone and although he ”ripped it out of her hands” he wasn’t able to access the pictures because the phone was locked.

Justin then demanded she unlock it and she proved she hadn’t taken any snaps.

Apparently the woman told Justin she and her 13-year-old daughter just wanted to say hi, and Justin screamed that she was ‘humiliating’ herself in front of her child, and told her to leave.

Following the incident, the woman filed a complaint with the LA Police Department.

While Justin has reportedly not yet been charged with a crime, police are taking the matter seriously.

Meanwhile, Justin is currently awaiting his trial for charges of driving under the influence in Florida following his arrest in January.

A study from the online dating site, Victoria Milan, has revealed that the majority of women who cheat, do so because of certain irritating qualities from their partner.

Victoria Milan is a dating site specifically designed for those who are interested in cheating on their partners.

The site decided to conduct a survey on why some women are so keen to cheat on their partners by questioning their 6,000 female users on the topic.

The results were interesting.

The study revealed that 73% of women who were surveyed, decided to cheat due to their partner’s irritating qualities. But the exact irritating reasons for each woman’s partner, varied.

19% felt that their partner’s poor sense of humour was a good enough reason to cheat. While 16% of women decided to stray due to a lack of understanding from their current partner.

The dating site also revealed other reasons for why some women are so keen to cheat on their partner, from not being good in bed, to being lazy, lack of manners and their partner’s poor attention to detail.

But Victoria Milan revealed that what drove women onto the site in the first place was mostly their desire to find a lover who has polar opposite qualities to their current partner. Ouch!
