If our hearts felt cracked and fragile before, they're smashed to smithereens now.

Just weeks on from initial reports, the Spider-Man situation remains woefully the same after Sony Pictures CEO Tony Vincinquerra confirmed that “for the moment the door is closed” on the MCU return.

Marvel Studios and Sony's financial talks have broken down, and now Tom Holland's Peter Parker will no longer be part of the MCU, with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige now absent from Spidey's next movie.

Many fans were hoping that the impasse could be overcome, but it seems that Sony is doubling down on distancing themselves from Disney after the entertainment giant asked for 30 percent of the earnings from the next few Spidey films.

To put this in perspective, they were only earning five percent before…so it's quite the leap on Disney's part to be fair.

Speaking at Variety’s Entertainment and Technology summit, Sony Pictures CEO dispelled fan's queries on the superhero;  “We had a great run with Kevin Feige on Spider-Man movies,” he said.

“We tried to see if there’s a way to work it out… the Marvel people are terrific people, we have great respect for them, but on the other hand we have some pretty terrific people of our own. Kevin didn’t do all the work.”

He continued: “Spider-Man was fine before the event movies, did better with the event movies, and now that we have our own universe, he will play off the other characters as well. I think we’re pretty capable of doing what we have to do here.”

Sony seem confident that following the box office success of Venom and the widespread critical and public acclaim for the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, it can spin its own compelling web of spider tales.

Director Jon Favreau, the MCU the filmmaker behind Iron Man and Iron Man 2, and actor of Happy Hogan in Homecoming and Far From Home – still hopes that an agreement can be made.

“I’ve been talking to everybody about it… I’m cautiously optimistic,” he said at Variety’s summit.

“I think it’s a long way away and I think the collaboration has been really strong up to this point so I’m hopeful that there’s a way for us all to play together going forward.”

PLEASE solve this tangled web of a problem, Jon. We can't handle the idea of the adorable Tom Holland not featuring in the MCU, he stole scenes in the Avengers as Iron Man's protégé.

The Fall 2019 Zendaya x Tommy experimental runway event will be debuted on Sunday, September 8 in Harlem, NYC with the global brand ambassador.

The designer made the brave switch from creating traditional collections featuring his own ready-to-wear designs to a series of collaborations back in 2016, but he's ready to come back to NYC.

The shows have gone on the road, with a theme park built in Los Angeles in honour of the Tommy x Gigi and Tommy x Zendaya collections, as well as staging a circus in London and a race track in Milan.

There was even a 'Battle of Versailles'-themed dance floor in Paris, because why not? The blowout parties have been hugely successful, but for their Fall show, Hilfiger and Zendaya are coming back to where it all began.

According to a statement from the brand, Zendaya was inspired to display the collection at the iconic Apollo Theatre in Harlem.

"Her statement-making point of view in everything she does is what makes her such an inspiring collaborator – it is honour to continue to provide her with a platform in the fashion industry to share this."

The dazzling show is set to take place this September, only months after Zendaya's powerful debut runway exhibition.

The 22-year-old Spiderman: Far From Home and Euphoria actress has made a splash across the fashion world, to say the least, with brand sponsorships and ambassador offers coming from all angles.

The likes of Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Patti LaBelle and The Supremes have graced the Apollo stage with their presence over the years, so Zendaya x Tommy has big shoes to fill.

Seeing as the pair already managed to book Grace Jones and a roller disco for their debut show at Paris Fashion Week, we're sure they've got something magical up their couture sleeves.

Over the weekend former Disney star Zendaya used Snapchat to inform her followers of an alleged racist run-in she’d had with a checkout worker.

In the snaps the 20-year-old Californian accused a member of Vons staff of subjecting her and a male friend to racial profiling as they attempted to purchase a $400 gift card at the store.

The young actress claimed the woman who was serving her went as far as to suggest that the pair could not afford the desired item because of their skin tone before proceeding to throw Zendaya’s wallet back at her.

But now the grocery store at the centre of the allegations has responded to the Spiderman: Homecoming star’s claims by telling PEOPLE the whole thing was a big misunderstanding.

A company rep said: “At Vons, we strive to treat each and every customer with the utmost respect.  There is a policy that limits gift card purchases using a credit card.”

“Zendaya was able to purchase gift cards up to our limit, and we apologize for any inconvenience or misunderstanding.”

“We understand that race is a sensitive issue in America and view this experience as a reminder that every interaction is an opportunity to treat each customer as we ourselves would like to be treated.”

Zendaya has yet to respond to the store's statement.

After Giuliana Rancic made a point of saying that former Disney star, Zendaya, smelled like weed and patchouli when walking the red carpet with a head of stunning dreadlocks, we soon learned the 20-year-old star was well able to defend herself.

But it seems like this type of treatment is far from rare in the life of the young actress – something which she highlighted on Snapchat over the weekend.

According to a video she shared with followers in recent days, she and a male friend were subject to racial profiling during a visit to a Vons store.

Carefree…free of care

"So, we just got out of Vons," she told the camera. "Now, I am trying to buy a lot of gift cards."

"There are certain limits and some things, which is understandable so I'll take the less amount, whatever." Zendaya continued. "But the lady that was helping us… I don't think she was a huge fan of our skin tone."

The actress then recalled having the assistant throw her wallet after telling her she could not afford the $400 purchase.

"I can't make this up! This is what we deal with," she insisted. "Long story short, there is so much progress to be done in our world."

According to Refinery29, a store manager eventually intervened and allowed Zendaya to make her purchases.

Zendaya is going through a really tough time at the moment, with the announcement of her parent's divorce.

The actresses mum, Claire, filed for divorce from Zendaya's dad, Kazembe Coleman ,citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple got married eight years ago, when Zendaya was just 12-years-old.

Due to the fact that their daughter is over 18, there will be no child support requirement from Kazembe, and Claire has reportedly not requested spousal support.

Kazembe acts as Zendaya's manager, which probably brings him in a hefty pay check every month.

According to California law, Claire should be entitled to half of her husbands earnings.

Reports say that the couple have reached a settlement agreement, in order to avoid an ugly separation.

It must be tough for poor Z.

With discussion surrounding rape culture – and its prevalence in everyday life – continuing to rage around the world, it's no surprise that things got more than a little heated on Zendaya's Twitter page yesterday when she saw herself included in a post about rape.

Sharing an image, which has since been deleted, the 19-year-old actress expressed her distress over our generation's regard for women and sex crimes.

According to The Independent, the former Disney drew her followers' attention to a post which featured her, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna alongside a reference to 2013 film, The Purge.

Drawing on the premise of the movie – where all crime is legalised for 12 hours – the Twitter user asked: "If the purge was real, who y'all raping?'

Understandably horrified by the post, Zendaya lashed out at the Twitter user, writing: "This is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself."

"Is this really what my generation thinks is ok? she asked "People are sick."

Having gotten the star's attention, the Twitter troll basked in his newfound online notoriety before Zendaya cut him down with a quick assessment of his characteristics.

"The only thing that's lit is your immorality and inhumanity young man. I pray you find some sense," she wrote.

"I don't think I've ever seen something so disrespectful," wrote one of Zendaya's followers in response to the post while another questioned: "Why are people like this allowed on earth?"

Zendaya's posts on the subject have been liked more than 40,000 times since yesterday.

While actress and singer Zendaya may be earning more than enough to be totally self-sufficient, she has no plans to leave the nest any time soon.

The 19-year-old revealed that she still loves living at home with her parents.

Oh and the perks of living at home remind us all why we actually never want to grow up.

"I don't have to wake myself up," said the star to Ellen DeGeneres.

"I got a free ride… whenever I want. So why would I want to give that up?

We all remember when Giuliana Rancic found herself in extremely hot water last year for saying Zendaya's hair looked like it "smells like patchouli and weed."

But now, another celeb has found the time to criticise Zendaya even more – and we just don't know what she was even thinking.

Julie Klausner, an author and comedy writer, voiced her views on Twitter, saying that Zendaya is under-weight and a bad influence:

And as Zendaya's fans started the backlash, Julie tried to say that she doesn't care about Zendaya and only wants younger generations to be healthy:

But Zendaya had a super sassy comeback, and wasn't even bothered to lecture Julie on her views. She just played it cool and chill, but with a little threat to not mess with her again:

Go Zendaya, you slaaaay.
