Grey’s Anatomy star Justin Chambers is leaving the show after 16 seasons. The actor who plays Alex Karev on the medical drama series confirmed the surprising news in a statement to E! News this evening.

He shared: “There's no good time to say goodbye to a show and character that's defined so much of my life for the past 15 years. For some time now, however, I have hoped to diversify my acting roles and career choices. And, as I turn 50 and am blessed with my remarkable, supportive wife and five wonderful children, now is that time."

One of our favourite Call The Midwife stars is set to enter the jungle and we’re so excited about it.

Cliff Parisi, who plays Fred on the beloved medical drama, is rumoured to join I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The actor will be the twelfth contestant to join the popular reality show. He is set to arrive in Australia later this week.

Luckily, filming for season nine of Call The Midwife has just finished up so Fred Buckle won’t be missing from the new episodes.

The former stand-up comedian will certainly bring plenty of laughs to the jungle.

He joins radio DJ Roman Kemp, Ian Wright, Nadine Roberts, Caitlyn Jenner, Jacqueline Jossa and Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell on this year’s show.

Coronation Street star Andy Whyment, who plays Kirk on the British soap, is also rumoured to be joining the show in the coming days.

There’s no doubt the actors will win fans over in the jungle.

We certainly cannot wait to see how their arrival shakes up the current contestants.

The show has only been on for a handful of days but Caitlyn Jenner has already been tipped to win the show. She has won viewers over with her positive attitude and budding friendships with fellow campmates.

Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard has announced she is leaving the soap. The actress played Liz McDonald for the past 30 years.

She revealed to OK! Magazine that Liz will go out with a bang.

She told the publication, "I was in shock, I felt totally numb. I’ve been told Liz is going to go with one hell of a bang. I cant wait!"

The actress said that it was a difficult decision to make but she knows it is the right one because she has landed a wonderful new role.

Beverley is set to go on tour with The Thunder Girls, a comedy show starring women over the age of 50.

"There’s very little work in our industry for women over 50, but I’m 62 and recently I was doing three jobs at once.”

Speaking of landing the role in The Thunder Girls, she said, "It made me realise how I was privileged to have the opportunity to do so when so many women my age no longer get the chance."

Beverley stressed that ageism in the industry is extremely frustrating, “Although I’ve had to leave the safety net of being in Coronation Street to do this, I’m hoping that ageist bosses, of which there are many, take note of how successful this show is and it starts the ball rolling on helping other women my age, get the roles they still deserve."

We’ll be sad to see Liz leave Coronation Street.

Fans were quick to identify the former EastEnders actor in the snap.

According to The Sun, Joe is eager to take on a new challenge after leaving I’m A Celebrity earlier this year.

A source said, “Joe's currently talking to Dancing On Ice bosses. It's no secret ITV love him and are keen to see him on the ice.

"He's looking for a new challenge after I'm A Celeb and he's sure to prove popular with viewers,” they added.

Joe decided to leave his presenting role on the popular show after partner Stacey gave birth to their baby boy Rex.

"I just couldn't be away from Rex for three months. I love the job. Honestly, it's like a part of me. I come out of EastEnders, and it's very difficult to be an actor coming out of it, and the jungle sort of opened up a whole world of opportunities with presenting and stuff like that.

"I owe the jungle everything and I'm so happy and pleased that the jungle stood by me for so long. But it will go on and it'll be amazing, it'll be really weird to watch it in England. I haven't spent a November in England for nearly 11 years. So it's going to be weird, but it'll be so nice to be around the family,” he explained.

Other rumoured celebrities include Love Island’s Amber Gill, Michelle Heaton and TV personality Michael Barrymore.

Grey’s Anatomy hasn’t been the same since Patrick Dempsey’s departure in 2015. Bidding farewell to McDreamy was one of the show’s most heartbreaking storylines but just because Derek isn’t around anymore doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the Shepherd family.

Amelia Shepherd quickly became a fan favourite when actress Catherine Scorsone joined the show as a main cast member in season 11.

She quickly took over her brother’s department and made a name for herself as quite the kick-ass neurosurgeon.

However, Amelia isn’t the only gifted sister in the Shepherd family. We are set to meet another one of Derek’s sisters in the coming episodes.

Actress Amy Acker has been cast as McDreamy’s sister Kathleen. Just like her siblings, Kathleen is a gifted doctor, specialising in psychiatry.

It is understood that Amy Acker will make her Grey’s Anatomy debut in an episode that focuses on Amelia.

Fans know very little about Derek’s sister Kathleen other than the fact that she is married with children.

Speaking to TV Line about the episode where we will meet Amelia’s sister, actress Catherine Scorsone said: “It's definitely a little standalone. It's almost like a little movie on its own."

There’s no doubt the episode will be full of drama considering everything Amelia has been going through in the latest series.

The doctor has had to deal with Owen having a baby with Teddy, Betty/Brittany’s addiction and the risk of Leo being taken away from her and Owen.

We cannot wait for Amy Acker to join the show. The Gifted actress will be the most incredible addition to the show.

It has been confirmed that Holly Willoughby will co-host the upcoming season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The This Morning presenter replaces Ant McPartlin who has stepped away from the spotlight due to personal issues.

A post shared by Holly Willoughby (@hollywilloughby) on

Speaking of her new role, Holly told The Mirror: “I couldn’t be more excited to have been asked to stand alongside Dec for the next jungle adventure.”

Holly has been friends with both Ant and Dec for many years, with the presenters making their break in the entertainment industry around the same time.

The presenter sent her well wishes to Ant who is currently dealing with alcohol and personal issues.

"I love Ant and want to send him my best wishes and support for a continued recovery. These are big shoes, not to fill, but just to keep warm for a little bit,” she said.

The host gushed about the reality show, admitting that she is a huge fan. “I feel like I’ve won a competition to go and hang out on my favourite show! When is it a good time to tell Dec I’m scared of everything that moves."

Holly’s co-host Declan Donnelly said: “I am hugely grateful to Holly for agreeing to accompany me to Australia this year. She was at the top of my list and I’m thrilled she said yes. It will be a different kind of series but we will try our best to ensure it is no less fun and eventful for our loyal viewers.”

We cannot wait to see Holly present the show alongside Declan Donnelly. There’s no doubt she’ll do a stellar job.

If you thought that the season 7 finale of Pretty Little Liars would be the last time a simple text message would scare the living daylights out of you then think again! Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King hinted at the possibility of a PLL film.

"We’ve got some really big ideas for a great PLL movie, but that won’t happen right after the series ends," King said during an interview with Good Morning America

"I think we’ll take a little break and let everybody go off and do a few things and hopefully we’ll come back together again and do something really special.”

She didn’t didn't reveal anything major about what a movie would entail or where the Liars would be. Might we suggest at least relocating from Rosewood? Seriously, there has been enough chaos in that town for one generation.

ABC Family recently renewed Pretty Little Liars for a seventh season. Actress Troian Bellisario, who plays Spencer Hastings, said previously that season 7 would be the last for the series. Marlene has also hinted that we're still in store for some "final twists." Fantastic, just when we starting to sleeping peacefully.

If there is a film on the cards then we highly doubt that the series is going to end without leaving some serious cliff hangers. Who knows, maybe Marlene has heard her fans sobbing in the dark and has decided to give the group of intoxicated moms in the basement a film for themselves.

Not that we would be complaining about that, to be honest.

Game of Thrones fans you can rest a little bit easier with this news.

Contrary to the rumours that began circulating not too long ago, fan-favourite (dare we say it: possible Queen in the North) Sophie Turner is not going anywhere.

The actress, who plays Sansa Stark was reportedly being poached from the HBO series to star in Outlander.

The time-travel fantasy romance is a huge hit with fans across the pond and many were speculating she would abandon Westeros in favour of series adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s books.

EW caught up with the actress to settle the rumours once and for all, and many avid TV fans were getting nervous at her silence on the matter.

“Somebody mentioned [the role] to me when I was on a red carpet somewhere, that I’d make a great Brianna, and I think the guy Sam retweeted it or something,” she explained.

“So people started talking like I was in it. I’ve never seen the show. I’m sure it’s great, but I’m loyal to my one true love!”

Phew!

Contractually, series regular actors (such as Sophie) are simply not allowed to take a job that could possibly undermine the series to which they are already attached. So it would have been a slim possibility of Sophie leaving GoT

However, as everyone who loves the series knows, the powers that be at HBO like to keep fans on edge when it comes to which characters will be coming back- ahem, looking at you Jon Snow.

Meanwhile, there has been one GoT actor lined up for a role on Outlander

Clive Russell will be joining the cast for the second series according to the Outlander Facebook page.  He appeared on Season 3 of GoT as Brynden ‘The Blackfish’ Tully. Interestingly, his GoT character is actually related to a current Outlander series regular.

Tobias Menzies (Edmure Tully, also suspiciously absent since Season 3) currently stars in the series and it looks like two will be sharing the screen again.
