With a referendum date set for Friday, May 25, canvassing for both sides of the vote is in full swing.

As signs and banners begin to pop up all over the country, Together for Yes, the national campaign to remove the Eight Amendment from the Irish constitution, have today launched a crowdfunding initiative to finance the erection of 10,000 'Vote Yes' posters.

The original target was set at €50,000 for 5,000 posters, however, huge backing from the public saw that target smashed in a matter of hours.

The new target now stands at €100,000 to print and put up 10,000 posters all across Ireland, in an effort to get people talking and make the case for an overall Yes vote.

Writing on the crowdfunding page, organisers thanked the public for their overwhelming support:

"We are completely overwhelmed by the support – we received 1,051 donations in less than three hours and raised €50,000. We’ve had donations from across the country, from people who want to see a more caring and compassionate Ireland.

"With just over six weeks to go to the referendum, the anti-reform forces are ramping up. We need to have our voices heard and fight for a more caring and compassionate Ireland. This is a once in a generation opportunity for change.

"We are increasing our goal to €100,000 so that we can put up 10,000 posters across Ireland."

If you would like to support the campaign, and play a vital role in the campaign effort, you can click here to donate.

Every voice matters.

So, if you've ever read the pages of a glossy magazine, or drunkenly googled how to improve your technique, you'll know that the so-called 'sex tips' on offer are, for the most part, totally unrealistic, and let's face it, downright cringey.

Between worrying about where you're putting your hands, to uttering some absolute filth in the heat of the moment, it can all get a little overwhelming at times.

But what if we told you that all you needed to be a superstar in the bedroom was a few glasses of vino?

According to a study conducted by the University of Florence Italy, women who drink two glasses of wine a day are better in bed and enjoy greater satisfaction than those drink just one glass, or none at all.

For the study, researchers surveyed 800 women between the ages of 18 and 50, using something known as the Female Sexual Function Index, which is used by doctors to assess women and sexual health.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the study's lead author, Dr. Nicola Mondaini said the the relationship between wine and sexuality has been well known since the time of Ancient Greece.

So, in short, of you're looking to add a bit of spice to your sex life, indulge yourself in a few after-dinner tipple – it's win-win really.

Gym bunnies, listen up!

It's time to say sayonara to sports drinks and grab yourself a nice tall glass of post-workout milk.

A new study published in the journal Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism found that milk and milk alternatives can actually help retain body fluid.

It's all down to science really – it seems the natural balance of sodium, carbohydrate and protein, make it an effective recovery drink for those looking to repair their muscles after a hard workout.

For the study, which examined how milk compared to a popular energy drink, 15 men were subjected to four rounds of cycling on different days.

After each session, participants were given a different drink: cow's, milk, soy milk, a milk-based meal supplement, and an energy drink.

The cyclist's hydration and nutrient levels were then examined, and researchers determined that the milk-based products actually led to better post-workout fluid retention.

But what about water? Surely nothing can beat a healthy gulp of H20.

Well, the study authors explain that drinking water after exercise actually cause a drop in sodium level, which in turn, could potentially lead to dehydration – apparently.

Now, we're not telling you to ditch the water bottled during your next workout, but afterwards, why not indulge yourself in a creamy glass of milk?

It turns that out man’s best friend is also man’s best binge partner. A new Netflix study found that 69 percent of Irish people watch Netflix with their pet for the company.

Love for our pets in Ireland has reached epic heights.  With film screenings for dog lovers and their dogs in The Lighthouse Cinema and Ireland’s first Cat Lounge opening in Dublin; it should come as no surprise that our four-legged friends have infiltrated our home entertainment habits as well.

According to a new survey released today by Netflix, when it comes to watching TV, half of Irish people find pets to be their best binge partner.

Let’s face it, watching a show with someone else can sometimes have its downsides, like being spoiled or getting cheated on.

Not only do pets not hog the remote or judge your entertainment tastes (well, maybe), they make the perfect partners for the company, the cuddles (one in three have turned to their furry friends for comfort during a sad or scary scene) and even the conversation (18 percent have talked to their pet about the show or movie they were watching).

Though you should be warned that pet bingeing can also be ruff. Nearly half of respondents (44 percent) have moved where they were sitting so their pet would be more comfortable, 17 percent have bribed them with treats to watch longer, and some (13 percent) have even gone so far as turning off a show because their pet didn't appear to like it. The snuggle is real.

So a few weeks back we discovered that giant unicorn pool floats existed, and we were super excited about it.

However, as of today, we no longer care about unicorns, because they have been out done.

Out done in a MAJOR way, I might add.

Disney has released their own line of pool floats for the coming summer months, and honestly they're amazing.

Credit: Disney Store

Naturally, the floats are inspired by The Little Mermaid, with Sebastian and Flounder being immortalised in plastic form.

We want both of them.

The Flounder floatie is like a lilo, whereas the Sebastian one is similar to a doughnut that you can sit into – so cool.

And the good news? These bad boys are not a total rip off, at 35 and 40 quid respectively.

As well as these large pool floats, there are also cute little ones made to hold your drinks, shaped like little seahorses. We can't.

All of these wonderful creations will be available later this month, in store and online.

Roll on summer!

Maren Morris, country music sensation, recently married her long time beau, Ryan Hurd.

The wedding was beautiful (of course), but the bride's stunning dress really stole the show.

The ever daring Maren chose to rock a short, sexy dress for her big day – paired with a STUNNING pair of Gucci platform heels.

The musician got her gown-spiration from her mother's wedding dress, which she wore back in 1989.

There is something quite therapeutic and rewarding about using our hands to create a beautiful object. And if learning some new skills involves a cocktail masterclass, what more can we ask?

To celebrate its one-year anniversary, Premium Irish whiskey Roe & Co is introducing a new creative workshop series.

Brought by local creators and artists, The Roe & Collective aims to bring people together for an afternoon of creativity, craftmanship and to learn new skills, whilst enjoying some world class Roe & Co cocktails.

The first event of the series will take place this Saturday, April 14th from 3pm to 6pm, at the recently opened bar Lucky’s, located in the heart of The Liberties.

During a fun afternoon, guests will gain an insight into different forms of trendy craft, including how to build your own terrarium, the art of silkscreen printing and a cocktail masterclass.

Professional urban gardener and stain glass artist, Alison Byrne will teach guests the history and the science behind the self-contained urban gardens, which are so popular on Instagram, while explaining the best types of plants and soil to use. At the end of the workshop you will be able to create your own miniature garden in upcycled Roe & Co whiskey bottles.

Led by Damn Fine Print, the silkscreen workshop will teach you how to use layering and overprinting techniques to create custom-made tote bags, tea towels or badges.

Hosted by Roe & Co Brand Ambassador Peter O’Connor, the cocktail masterclass will teach you how to create world class Roe & Co cocktails at home. You will also learn about the history of Roe & Co, why it is so synonymous with The Liberties and the golden era of Irish whiskey.

After the workshops, guests are invited to stay on in Lucky’s to enjoy a complimentary Roe & Co cocktail served with a delicious wood-fire pizza from Coke Lane Pizza.

Tickets to The Roe & Collective are available from EventBrite.ie and include three creative workshops (terrarium building, screen printing and a Roe & Co cocktail masterclass), a Roe & Co cocktail and a complimentary wood fire pizza. Tickets are priced at €15 including booking fee.
