As we bask in the glory of having multiple Irish Oscar nominees this year, established Dublin talent Jack Reynor has just revealed he is in the running for a potentially career-defining role. 

The 24-year-old is up for the much coveted part of a young Han Solo in an upcoming Star Wars spin-off film. 

The as yet unnamed flick, which is currently set for release in 2018, will follow a young Han Solo as he becomes the notorious smuggler we know and love today. 

The Irish native, who has starred in Transformers as well as Lenny Abrahamson's critically acclaimed What Richard Did, could hardly contain his excitement as he spoke about the film at the Sundance Film Festival this week. 

"Look, man, that would be kind of an incredible gig to get, wouldn’t it? Totally insane."

Though Jack is very realistic in terms of knowing that taking on such an iconic role will most definitely be a challenge.

"You’ve got to fill some pretty seriously big boots there, man. We’re talking Harrison Ford here, dude.

"He’s not a chump, you know what I mean? You can’t do an imitation, you can’t try and just emulate what that is. It’s got to be something new, and it’s also got to be something that the audience is going to respond to."

It seems like the Dublin man has his heart set on the role but he is facing serious competition from some of Hollywood's brightest up-and-coming stars. 

Also up for the role is Miles Teller, Dave Franco, Logan Lerman, Emory Cohen and Ansel Elgort.

Nobody can pull off a subtweet like the Kardashian-Jenner ladies, and they were out with all guns blazing yesterday evening.

The fun started when Blac Chyna – who is Kim's former BFF, Tyga's ex and the nemesis of both Khloé AND Kylie – posted a picture of herself lying in a man's arms.

So far, so boring, until we got a closer look at those tattoos and realised the arm belonged to none other than Rob Kardashian.

Rob's been pretty much AWOL for the last twelve months, save for a recent medical crisis and a few storylines on KUWTK. So for him to come out of the woodwork while seemingly getting cosy with his sisters' number one enemy… well, it didn't go down too well.

First off the mark with a social media diss was Khloé, who posted this on Twitter:

She quickly back-tracked of course, saying her tweet wasn't directed at Rob at all, but at another member of her large family:

Whatever you say, Khloé.

Within hours of her big sister's less-than-subtle message, Kylie Jenner delivered a diss of her own – a swift tweet-and-delete featuring a picture of a devil.

The best part? She tagged Rob, leaving no doubt as to who her anger was directed at. Instagram account The Shade Room got this screenshot of Kylie's tweet before it was taken down:

Ouch. 

In Rob's defence, some sources over at TMZ have said that Blac's picture was nothing more than an "attack" on the Kardashian clan through one of its members who is clearly in a vulnerable state.

No word from Rob's own social media accounts yet, but we're sure it won't be long.

As much as we love eating healthy and keeping fit, there comes a point where you need to let yourself go a bit and just eat some food that you actually LOVE. 

Like snacks. ALL the snacks. Doritos, Coca-Cola, chips and dips, wraps, crisps; the list is endless. 

All of these delicious snacks were put together by Delish to make a mini football stadium. You can see the pitch, the stands and even the goals. 

It's pretty impressive, but to be honest, it's making us super-hungry just looking at it. When is lunch time?

She might (or might not) have a boyfriend outside of the Big Brother house, but that hasn't stopped Stephanie getting it on with Dubliner, Jeremy.

And to take it even further, Stephanie has just dropped the L-word on him.

Yep, ladies, the actress has told Jeremy she LOVES him.

The scene will air on tonight's episode, where you will see her cuddling on the couch with the male model and then out-of-the-blue say, "I love you… me love you."

And it certainly wasn't in a joking-ha-ha kind of way.

But, it seems that Jeremy is feeling the same as her. After hearing the three words, he kissed her on the head before saying, "I love you too."

Their former housemate, David Gest, disapproves of the romance though, telling Jeremy that he deserves better. 

We're just wondering what Sam thinks about all this, since.. you know.. she was going to marry him and all that.

Like many crazy trends, the cat café started in Japan, and again, like many crazy trends, we are totally digging it. 

Who doesn't want to sit down with a cuppa tea and stroke cute, furry felines all day, huh?

Well, we all might be able to soon as a Kickstarter campaign has landed in Ireland, and if successful, it will see the first cat café opening in Dublin.

Georgia O Neill has a full plan for her business, but just needs a little money to get started. 

Her goal is €35,000 which will be enough to get the business completely set up and people in the door.

She also is offering a range of awards, from discounted visits to personalised t-shirts.

Whether you were woken up at 5am by the sound of your wheelie bin flinging itself down the road, or whether your 30-minute commute took twice as long, you've probably experienced the wrath of Storm Jonas in some way this morning.

Ireland's latest bout of winter weather is a killer one, with galeforce winds and lashing rain battering the country all night. And while it is – for once – surprisingly mild, all that means is we're sweating buckets inside our coats while getting pelted by rain.

Donald Trump's campaign spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson, posted a tweet back in 2012, and in the past few days it has been doing the rounds on social media.

The tweet was brought to JK Rowling's attention yesterday, and she had the most brilliant response.

Katrina's tweet was posted during a CNN debate between Obama and Mitt Romney in 2012, and in it she complains about there not being any "purebred" candidates up for presidency.

"Perfect Obama's dad born in Africa, Mitt Romney's dad born in Mexico. Any pure breeds left?" she posted. 

As we can all clearly see, her tweet was extremely offensive, but when JK saw it, she fired back a flawless Harry Potter reference.

JK shared on Twitter, "Death Eaters walk among us."

What Ms Rowling is referring to is Voldemort's followers who radically believed in the supremacy of pureblood witches and wizards.

Oh, we just love her so much.

24 was a TV show that was so gripping, it was really hard not to binge watch daily. Like, really hard.

And as we all know, all good things must come to an end. So, we said goodbye to Jack Bauer and alas, goodbye to 24. Or, so we thought.

Surprisingly, FOX is ready to start the clock again with a brand new series of the show, called 24: Legacy.

The network has hired Straight Outta Compton actor Corey Hawkins to star as the next Jack Bauer… but he won't actually be Jack Bauer.

Instead, the series is taking on a completely new cast and characters, but it's still going to stick to the same kind of storyline, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

It will revolve around a military hero's return to America, and all the problems that follow him, which then compels him to ask the famous CTU for help.

Will it be better than Jack's reign of power? Will it ruin the show completely? We don't know. But we're excited to give it a try.

He left the Big Brother house last week due to an illness, but now in full health, David Gest is weighing in on what he thinks of the remaining housemates.

Appearing on Big Brother's Bit On The Side, David said that Stephanie's flirtatious antics will do no-good for her, and it may have indeed, damaged her career.

"She could have rectified her problems with her career but she's made it worse," he said, speaking about how she was sacked from Hollyoaks.

Mr Gest then added, "I told Jeremy he's worth more. It's totally wrong."

David also let us in on why he had to leave the house, revealing that he had "strep throat, tonsillitis and a fever."

"I am on the mend now. I didn't want to go. Crazy as it was, I loved being the father figure, the nutcase, the advisor."

Recently, a cat that looks like Star Wars and Girls star, Adam Driver, totally broke the Internet.

It was so like the actor that we couldn't help crack up… But that was so last week.

Now, Reese Witherspoon has found not one, but two cat doppelgangers and we completely love them.

The blonde bombshell took to Instagram to share with the world her cat look-a-likes, and she already has more than 85,000 likes on the pic.

"I see the resemblance. Do you? #catwinning," she captioned the snap.

Sofia Vergara's face has been used by a beauty company… And she's not happy.

The Modern Family actress said that Venus Company blew up images of her face and used them to promote its products worldwide.

In the suit, Sofia said that a simple Instagram post is what started it all off.

She got the Venus' Legacy treatment – a skin tightening massage – in August of 2014. While doing so she shared a photo on IG of herself on the table, which ended up getting 40,000 likes.

However, Ms Vergara didn't actually like the treatment and found it "a waste of time and money with little in the way of any results."

But, even though Sofia didn't recommend the treatment, that didn't stop Venus from putting up photos of her at exhibition booths and on its website, with captions like, "Loved by… bombshell actress Sofia Vergara."

Sofia wasn't even paid a cent for the promotion images, which she usually gets paid a lot for. The actress said that her going rate for beauty endorsements is $15million (€14m).

So, the beauty is suing Venus for at least that much, and she also wants the company to pull all of the materials with her face on them.

And it's fair to say that Brit was the bass-ass teen star of her day, breaking away from the Disney good-girl image and becoming a sexy young woman.

Well, she doesn't seem to want to stop being that sexy young woman (and, so she shouldn't) because last night she posted a very random and mysterious video.

The pop princess shared three sexy videos on her Instagram account and we don't know if they're for a new single? A teaser to promote her return to Vegas? An ad for swimwear?
