If you can tell your Macchiato from your Mocha and your Cappuccino from your Cortado with only a half a glance, then you’re going to be all OVER the World of Coffee event taking place in Dublin this week.

Kicking off on Thursday and running until Saturday, the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe will be hosting a series of events in the capital which is bound to impress even the most clued-in caffeine connoisseur.

From taste-testing the latest brews and sweating it out in the Java Jog to cheering on the competitors in the World Barista Championship and learning more about your daily caffeine fix, this is all you’ll need to officially earn your title as Queen of the Coffee Bean.

And if you’re still struggling to tell the difference between your instant mix and your gravy granules, then this is definitely the time to get stuck in.

Ladies, it looks like it's our time to shine.

Rumours have been circulating for the past three years that Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes are in a relationship, and now his "good friend" has spilled the beans.

Real Housewives star Claudia Jordan told the Allegedly podcast, that the pair are indeed together, and Jamie is "very happy."

"He is very happy with her. I like that he seems very happy."

However, we still have our suspicions, since previous comments seem to say that it's all lies, with the actress denying the claims as recent as May of last year.

"These stories are untrue and this gossip needs to stop," said Katie's rep.

"Katie is not dating anyone. She's not gushing about anyone… She was on the phone with her daughter when she supposedly was overheard saying 'I love you.'"

Since the podcast is called 'Allegedly', we think we'll keep it at that.

Soon there will be no need for words at all as we’ll be able write in pure emoji.

Well, that’s how it seems anyway since 72 new emojis have been added to the emojipedia.

The flamingo dancers and the princess will finally have their happy endings with the new dancing man and prince additions.

You no longer have to be plain old sick as you can now choose a sneeze emoji or a green nauseated face.

You can subtly imply someone is telling porkies with a long-nosed Pinocchio or go all out with a full on facepalm.

And clearly taking note of the new universal love of brunch there’s pancakes, avocados, croissants and bacon.  Thank God for that!

According to the New York Times that's not all  Apple has planned for emoji lovers.

They have reported that the tech giant is adding a very special texting feature to their phones – an emoji button which will highlight all the “emojifiable” words in your messages and convert them to emoji for you.

So when you think a picture would do the job of a thousand words, your phone will find that picture for you.

Winning!

Let's face it, we all did stupid things at sleepovers back in the day.

From mooning out our BFF's front door to knick-knocking on neighbour's houses, our common sense went straight out the window the minute we saw each other in jammies.

So, we can totally relate to one 15-year-old girl from the States who actually managed to get her head stuck in a giant Barney the Dinosaur costume during a recent slumber party.

Proving that the excitement had clearly gotten too much for her, Darby Risner stuck her noggin inside a discarded Barney head and promptly got stuck.

After enlisting the help of emergency services who got to work with a lot of Vaseline and some intricate scissor work, the Alabama teen was finally freed, but not before her predicament hit social media sites. (Obvs.)

And unlike our Irish mammies who would have scared the bejaysus out of us with threats warning us not to be so stupid again, Darby's mam lolled as much as the teen's mates, laughing: "It gave her short little Barney arms since it was nearly at her elbows. It was hilarious."

Darby, you're a hero.

From sharing her workouts online to Turning Up for What, we always knew the First Lady of the United States was in a league of her own, but her latest announcement has seriously taken the biscuit.

Joining the likes of Adele, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Mariah Carey, Michelle Obama has agreed to ride shotgun with James Corden in the latest episode of Carpool Karaoke, and we are PUMPED.

Rocking up to the White House on Tuesday, the Late Late Show host took to Snapchat to reveal that he would be taking part in a very special edition of the music segment.

Looking ever so slightly starstruck, James began: "Hi, I'm at the White House today. I'm going to take a spin in a car and sing some songs with…" before good ol' MIch finished with "Me!"

Ah, lads we cannot wait!

For most people a little grass snake would be enough to send them running, but Australian woman Trina Hibberd is not most people.

On Monday, Queensland-based Trina took to Facebook to share her terrifying run-in with a 16-foot-long python who had slithered into her house in the early hours of the morning.

In a video captioned “Holy s**t!!!! Monty visits at 4.30am today”, Trina shows how the giant snake had wrapped itself around her door, hat stand, painting and wall.

The short clip opens with a surprisingly calm Trina saying: “We’ve got a visitor and it’s f***ing huge.”

And she’s not lying.

An accompanying picture shows part of the massive snake draped across the iron bed head in her guest room – and he's too big to fit completely into the image.

How Trina stuck around long enough to film the python is beyond us, but thankfully both she and the snake are okay.

The season 7 premiere of Pretty Little Liars aired last night, and even though we found out who 'A' was in the last series, it still feels like the story is never-ending.

And that may indeed be the case since all of the cast and crew want to keep it going – in a movie or a spin-off.

The cast are totally on board for ending PLL with a movie, but more interesting is the TV show ideas.

"My god, it would be a blast!" said Troian Bellisario, who plays Spencer. "We would shoot in Italy and London… She'd be travelling constantly. She'd be time travelling to the past, and it's an amazing show… I just described, like, Outlander… The Spencer show, it's a mixture of Girls and Outlander."

We like the sound of that! But, Shay Mitchell has another idea if Emily could get her own show. And she describes it as a lesbian Bachelorette

However, Aria got very excited when met with the idea of her own series.

"I think there's so many areas of Aria that haven't been explored. She went away to Iceland before the show even started, so like, why was she there?" said Lucy Hale.

"I love Aria, she's become a huge part of me, so I keep an open mind."

It seems like the Liars will live on, even after PLL.

The worst part of our morning is waking up to the illusion of popularity with dozens of notifications on our phones only to realise they’re all emails.

And not just general emails – emails from sites that we didn’t even know we had subscribed to…because that pesky box gets us every time.

You know the one, right? The tiny little box that is invisible to anyone who doesn’t have a magnifying glass.

The tiny box that says ‘click me if you don’t want to be forever plagued by useless information about our latest offer’.

The tiny box that says ‘I will fool you into thinking you’re important when really I just want to tell you about this competition we’re running’.

The tiny box that says how easy it is to sign up but it will take an hour of your time, photo identification and a blood sample to unsubscribe.

We’ve accumulated so many of these emails that we dread the thought of even trying to sort it all out…until we found this life-changing website.

While life-changing might sound a little extreme to you right now, just you wait until you see how clutter-free your emails will soon become.

Wait until you can get a full night’s sleep without the persistent buzzing from your emails.

Wait until you will only be receiving emails you actually want to.

Unroll.me is up there with our all-time favourite online discoveries including the google doodle and babies tasting lemons for the first time on YouTube.

By simply entering your email address you can see the full list of all those sneaky websites that have your information.

And then with a sense of sheer satisfaction and freedom you can simply click ‘unsubscribe’.

Goodbye annoying emails, hello full nights sleep!

In the past, there had been some controversy over whether Holywood-native Rory McIlroy would represent Ireland or Britain at the Olympics later this year.

However, and after announcing to much fanfare that he would compete alongside his fellow boys and girls in green, the 27-year-old has withdrawn from the event entirely.

Citing health concerns, a statement released by the professional golfer read: “After much thought and deliberation, I have decided to withdraw my name from consideration for this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero.

“After speaking with those closest to me, I’ve come to realise that my health and my family’s health comes before anything else. Even though the risk of infection from the Zika virus is considered low, it is a risk nonetheless and a risk I am unwilling to take."

The statement, as published by irishtimes.com, continued: “I trust the Irish people will understand my decision. The unwavering support I receive every time I compete in a golf tournament at home or abroad means the world to me.

“I will continue to endeavour to make my fans and fans of golf proud with my play on the course and my actions off it.”

Last month, Rory had hinted at his uncertainty of travelling to Brazil, stating: “As it gets closer, I am relishing the thought of going down there and competing for gold.

"But I have been reading a lot of reports about Zika and there have been some articles coming out saying that it might be worse than they are saying. I have to monitor that situation.”

The Olympic Council Of Ireland has now expressed its disappointment at the news.

However, it also reflected: “Rory was set to be one of the big stars of Rio 2016, but now there is an opportunity for another Irish golfer to take up the chance to become an Olympian and participate in golf’s historic return to the Olympic Games after a 112-year absence.”

Rory and a gaggle of mates yesterday travelled by private jet to France to see Northern Ireland take on world champions Germany – a game they sadly lost 0-1.

We have mild palpitations every time we splash out on a Lotto ticket and while we've never won ANYTHING so far, we know, deep down, that the next time could be different.

For one couple from Dublin, however, scooping big on the National Lottery has simply become part and parcel of married life. (Yeah, we know.)

Last Saturday marked the pair's ninth big win when they netted a whopping €113,661 after matching five numbers and the bonus ball in the weekend's draw

While they have matched five numbers each time they won, the prize money has gotten substantially bigger over the years, with the husband saying: "When you consider that the first time we matched five numbers we won a hundred pounds."

The couple, who have chosen to remain anonymous, said: "Since the start of the lotto, we have matched five numbers nine times and we’re not giving up on the jackpot just yet. We are getting closer and closer to the jackpot."

The generous pair are more than happy to spread the wealth, and told the press that they plan to donate money to local charities as well as an African children's charity.

We wonder if they'd be open to a syndicate…

Selma Blair was met with paramedics and a stretcher after she had a sudden outburst on a plane on Monday.

According to TMZ, the mother was flying first class with her son and his father, when she was spotted mixing something with her glass of wine.

Minutes later, she started screaming, and saying quite disturbing things such as, "He burns my private parts," and "He's going to kill me."

When the plane landed, Selma was rushed to hospital for emergency care.

Today, however, the actress released a statement apologising for her behaviour.

"I made a big mistake yesterday. After a lovely trip with my son and his Dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret.

"My son was with his Dad asleep with his headphones on, so there is that saving grace," she said.

"I take this very seriously, and I apologise to all of the passengers and crew that I disturbed and am thankful to all of the people who helped me in the aftermath.

"I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry."
