Today marks one year since the death of legendary comedian, actor and voiceover artist Robin Williams, and tributes have been pouring in via social media all day.

Among the messages from fans and Hollywood stars alike was an especially beautiful one from Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Sarah Michelle Gellar. Posting a picture of the iconic wooden bench in Boston Public Garden which featured in Good Will Hunting, Sarah added a fitting quote from poet Ralph Waldo Emerson.

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the beauty in others; to leave the world a bit better wether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here. This is to have succeeded" she wrote, adding "You succeeded RW #RobinWilliams."

Visible underneath the bench are various painted tributes from fans featuring quotes from Good Will Hunting.

Sarah Michelle and Robin starred together in the short-lived CBS sitcom The Crazy Ones back in 2013 – the late actor's final TV role.

The Mrs Doubtfire star was found dead at his California home on August 11th, 2014 aged 63. Suicide by hanging was later confirmed as the cause of death. Just months before his death Robin was diagnosed with the early stages of Parkinson's Disease.

Robin's daughter Zelda confirmed last month, on the eve of what would have been Robin's 64th birthday, that she was taking a break from social media to avoid seeing any negative comments about her father.

The 26-year-old was forced to close her Twitter and Instagram accounts just one day after his death last year after cruel trolls sent abusive messages along with Photoshopped pictures of his corpse to her via social media. Three weeks later she returned with new resolve, writing, "Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim."

Along with Zelda, Robin is survived by his children Zak, aged 32, and Cody, aged 24.

Do you know any students that can’t wait to pack up their bags and take off for some new adventures? If you do, then you should definitely consider letting them know about this new offer from KBC.

A recent survey has revealed that one in three students would consider transport their most significant expense. So KBC are stepping in to help the students out.

They’ve introduced a new ‘fly or cash’ initiative they allows students the chance to avail of free banking and a free return European flight. If they’re not feeling the wanderlust then the opportunity to get some cash is also available.

If you manage to fit in 10 debit card transactions before 2016, then you can receive a second free return flight, this also means there is the option to nominate a friend for to receive the second free flight.

Who doesn’t love a holiday with their friends? Even better, who doesn’t love a holiday with free flights?

Considering that over half of Irish students say that the cost of living is a regular source of worry, we imagine the chance to grab a free holiday will make plenty of students very happy.

Interestingly the survey also revealed that one in three students receive their spending money from their parents while three in every ten have part time jobs to fund themselves during their studies.

We imagine there will be sighs of relief from mammies around the country when they hear that they won’t be funding this year’s trip to Paris, or the long weekend for two to Budapest.

So New Zealand has decided – after years of being mixed up with their closest large neighbour – that it wants a new flag.

And some of the suggestions are seriously cool.

Prime Minister John Key himself thinks his nation's flag is way too similar to the Australian one, with only the colour of the stars differentiating the two (yup, we get confused all the time).

The New Zealand public were allowed to make contributions of suggestions for the new flag, and with more than 10,000 entries, there were definitely some weird and wonderful ones.

Two of the weirder suggestions we spotted (and yes, that is a lazer beam coming from the bird's eyes in the second snap) include the following:

However, sadly both the kiwi fruit design and the lazer-eyed bird have already been discarded – leaving a total of just 40 long-list finalists.

The government in Wellington wants the new flag to be introduced by next March and they are currently electing a Flag Consideration Panel to choose the right one.

"A great flag should be distinctive and so simple it can be drawn by a child from memory," the panel announced in an open letter yesterday.

Many of the final 40 options include a silver fern which is a motif for many of New Zealand's sports teams.

Blue, green, red, black and white are used prominently, while the Southern Cross and traditional looping Maori symbol the koru are also particularly popular.

Take a look at some of the final options:

Which one would you prefer?

Ben Affleck’s nanny seemed to be have a great time on a recent trip to Las Vegas.

Christine Ouzounian, 28, was photographed on board the luxury air craft playfully posing with some impressive looking bling.

Friend of Ben, Tom Brady a four time Superbowl winner, obviously didn’t mind sharing some of his hardware with the former Affleck family nanny.

The trio appeared to be off on a trip that was kept quiet in late June, after the Affleck family took their trip to the Bahamas. Ben and Christine took a trip to Sin City to attend a poker tournament, according to Page Six.

In the photograph, first published by The Post, Christine looks quite comfy sporting some white jeans and a navy tank top while relaxing with her shoes kicked off on broad the private jet.

Apparently Ben, who has been known to gamble in the past, asked Christine to come with him back to LA from the Bahamas while Jen and their three children stayed behind.

A source told Hollywood Life that “he assured her it was OK. Technically, he was her boss’’.

Apparently “along the way, he convinced her to go to Las Vegas with for a poker tournament,” the insider continued saying, “While in Vegas Ben hid Christine the entire time.”

The photograph was reportedly taken only three days before the announcement came that Ben and wife Jennifer Garner were getting a divorce.

Christine has been spotted a number of times, with and without Ben since the news of his split broke – including during one late-night rendezvous in which she handed him a bottle of champagne at his rented home.

However, reps for the Argo actor has dismissed rumours that Christine and Ben were involved romantically leading up the separation, they said the rumours were "shameful".

Nowadays we pretty much have a make up trick in the book to fool everyone. From contouring to strobing, concealing and filling in, we know how to do it all.

But this year the whole world went crazy for big lips (cheers, Kylie!) and now there's a new trend in town that will achieve the plump lip look without any fillers or injections. #score

What's more is that you will not only look like you have a fuller pout, you will have two gorgeous colours gracing your lips and that is bound to make you look fabulous, no matter what other make up you have on.

All the trick comes down to is SHADING. It's like contouring on your lips (because we can contour everything now) and the use of two colours, one darker that the other, creates depth and fullness.

The Make Up Store's creative director, Maria Gabriel, commented on the new trend saying: "The technique has changed from the ombré shifting from top-to-bottom on the lip, to instead start at the corners of the mouth and fading into the centre".

Here is a little lesson on how to ace the trend. Believe us, you will be racing to your lipsticks to try and achieve this.

1. To start off you need to prep and prime the whole lip. Make sure your lips are fully covered in primer as it is an essential part of the process. Then line the outside with a natural lip colour to keep the lipstick from bleeding.

2. Next, choose a neutral lip liner and completely fill your lips with it. This is to make sure the colour is consistent throughout .

3. Clean or cover up any lip liner that's slipped with concealer so you have the perfect outline and get them looking precise and perfect.

4. You now have to get your dark lip shade and feather the outer corners of your lips, then blend the colour in using a lip brush.

5. To finish, get your lighter lip shade and fill in the centre of your lips to give you that pop of colour!

And there you go! The secret to the perfect pout.

After a two-year engagement, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux tied the knot last week in a top-secret ceremony at their home in Los Angeles.

Although the couple, who are currently vacationing with friends in Bora Bora, worked hard to keep details of their big day under wraps, now that it's over we've finally gotten the juice. Radio host Howard Stern dished on some of the ins and outs of the ceremony and after-party on his radio show yesterday, and it sounds like it was quite the wedding.

While Howard did make a speech full of "personal stuff" on the day, it's some of the other celebrity cameos that really had us smiling.

Chat show legend Jimmy Kimmel pulled a Joey Tribbiani for the special event and stepped in to officiate proceedings. He apparently did "a beautiful job," though Howard joked that things were a little touch and go.

"Jimmy was the preacher. I didn’t think he’d get through it. Jimmy’s still depressed about that lion getting killed over in Africa," Howard said, in reference to Jimmy's emotional speech about Cecil the lion on air last week.

As for the music, there was no boring wedding band or soppy DJ playing The Power of Love for Jen and Justin. Instead they asked Australian hitmaker Sia to perform live for their first dance as husband and wife.

If you were hoping for a few leaked photos of the performance from careless guests, don't get your hopes up, because Howard revealed that everyone (including him) had their phones confiscated once they entered Jen and Justin's property. Last week it was also reported that all staff working at the wedding and on the property had their phones taken away for a full week leading up to the big day.

"Why can’t I have my cell phone? I don’t want to take a picture of you two! I really don’t,” Howard complained on air yesterday. “I want my cell phone so after I make this speech I can call my car and get the f*** outta here! People were laughing at my misery."

Less than 24 hours after their wedding, the newlyweds boarded a Gulfstream V private jet and headed to the lavish Four Seasons resort on Bora Bora with pals including Jimmy Kimmel, Jason Bateman and Jen's maid of honour Courteney Cox.

Suites at the luxurious resort start at around €1,200, and guests can choose between over-water bungalows or villas located on a private section of beach.

The couple were "were giddy to have pulled off an amazing wedding celebration with their friends," a source told PEOPLE magazine. "They want the celebration to last as long as possible."

The results are in, and the most popular way of 'e-laughing' has been revealed.

It's true, when we type 'LOL', 'Haha' or 'hehe' we're not so much bursting out laughing as we are just sporting a mildly amused smile.

In the early days of social media, LOL was the go-to way of expressing how hilarious we thought someone was online, but over the past few years it's been over-shadowed by it's laughing counter-parts.

It turns out 'haha' now leads the way with 51.4 % people using that in their interactions on Facebook. Following closely behind is our all time favourite emoji, the laughing face!

This study was carried out by Facebook and analysed all of the websites users, finding that 46% of people post a single laugh in some shape or form each week.

Of all of the people using Facebook, 20% of them like to mix things up a bit and use two types of laughter, just to really get their point across when they find something funny!

So things have changed a lot over the years with only 1.9% of people being 'lol-ers'.

The study which was spread across people of age 13 to age 70 shows that younger people are more like to use the laughing emoji while the older generation are still sticking to the old reliable, LOL. (Although they sometimes mix it up with 'lots of love')

The study suggests that "ha is like a lego piece, which people use to convey different "levels" of laughter, ranging from the polite haha to a deranged hahahahahahaha."

Alexander Pacteau has pleaded guilty to the murder of Irish student Karen Buckley in April this year.

Pacteau was charged with the murder of the 24-year-old north Cork woman a week after she disappeared from a Glasgow nightclub on April 12.

A massive search attempted to locate Karen after her worried friends reported her missing, but tragically her remains were discovered four days later on a farm on the outskirts of the city.

Privately-educated Pacteau, 21, appeared in Glasgow High Court this morning. Ms Buckley's father John, mother Marian and brothers Brendan, Kieran and Damian are all also in court for the proceedings.

They are being supported by Mourneabbey, Co Cork parish priest, Fr Joe O’Keeffe, and a Garda liaison officer.

His guilty plea now means he faces a mandatory life sentence in prison.

Read out in court before the Honorable Justice Lady Rae, the indictment against him states: “You Alexander Pacteau aka Alexander Barr on 12 April in motor vehicle registration no. EY05 VVR at Kelvin Way, Glasgow did assault Karen Buckley, formerly of Glasgow Caledonian University, repeatedly strike her on the head and body with a spanner and compress her neck and you did murder her.”

It earlier emerged that Pacteau, who had been drinking heavily at the time, had first attempted to strangle the University Of Limerick nursing graduate in his car before battering her to death with a spanner, striking her head up to 13 times.

He later desperately tried to cover his tracks, placing his victim's body in a blue plastic barrel and filling it up with 40 litres of caustic soda – a strong chemical used in the likes of drain cleaner.

Pacteau then hid the barrel in a storage shed on an isolated farm 10km north of the city.

Karen was studying for a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy at Glasgow Caledonia University at the time of her murder.

It was the video that shocked the nation: a 18-year-old Irish woman performing a sex act on 24 men in order to win a free cocktail.

The footage went viral, sparking debate about what really goes on during cheap, package holidays to the likes to Magaluf – a resort on the otherwise genteel island of Majorca in Spain.

At the time, one young holiday-maker explained what goes on in the town, which is nicknamed 'Shagaluf': "The girls and guys are all as bad as each other… I've walked into Burger King and seen people having sex in the toilets."

"People think they can let loose out there because they can leave it all behind when they go home."

Still, the actions of the Co. Armagh teenager shone a spotlight on Magaluf drinking regulations.

And in the aftermath, authorities there introduced harsher restrictions as well as steep fines for anyone caught flouting the laws: for example, the likes of balconing – where tourists jump from hotel balconies into swimming pools – is now liable to a €1,500 fine.

Recently, the Sunday Life spent a weekend on Magaluf’s notorious strip to see if anything has changed… and seemingly it hasn't.

The Belfast-based publication observed hundreds of revellers in a seriously intoxicated state, while one young man is spotted sporting a bloodied nose.

Just this week is was furthermore announced that British police officers have been flown into the Spanish town to patrol its streets as part of a two-week trial to help Spanish authorities deal with victims and offenders from the UK.

Spain already carries out international patrols in tourist areas in cooperation with police from Germany, France, Italy, Portugal and Morocco.

Consumed too much alcohol last night

Hundreds of thousands of revellers from Britain and Ireland holiday in Magaluf annually (85 percent of vacationers are from our island or Britain), with the spot being particularly popular with those off on a Sixth Year, post Leaving Cert jaunt.

Hotels evict a relatively modest 250-odd guests a year for unruly behaviour – like thrashing their rooms – and about one in six of those evictees is Irish.

However, most holidaymakers are more eager to head out than cause trouble at their hotels: Magaluf's giant BCM nightclub, which holds 6,000 people, is particularly popular. It charges €50 at the door, but alcohol flows freely once you're inside.

One Dutch volunteer, Simone, is part of The Street Angels – a charitable organisation which has for two years carried out work on the streets of Magaluf.

They help drunk party-goers find their friends and their hotels, and hand out bandages, tissues, and bottles of water.

She believes that this year, the authorities have indeed been stricter, and there is "less glass" strewn about the place.

She furthermore said that the beaches are now better lit up with "enormous spotlights," similar to those used during footballer matches.

"But you see the girls still lying passed out in the gutter with their underwear around their knees," Simone added in conversation with NOS, a public broadcaster in The Netherlands .

Still, she explained that as a mother herself, she's happy to lend a hand – giving up her vacation time to volunteer. "I myself have teenage daughters. And that is someone's daughter," she states.

In 2011, MTV's popular Geordie Shore filmed part of series one on the island.

Tom Fletcher is definitely one of the most adorable dads there is on Instagram, and we think he may have just outdone himself with his latest post.

The McBusted frontman shared a sweet video yesterday of himself and his 18-month-old son Buzz singing together, and it already has over 700,000 views. It's clear that Tom is determined to get his son into music too, as the father-son duo sing their cover of Justin Bieber's Baby.

Buzz does BieberWe discovered we can nail this song as a father/son duet! 😉

Posted by Tom Fletcher on Monday, August 10, 2015

The dad of one leads the way with the song and Buzz chips in saying "baby" right on cue. We can't handle the cuteness…

Tom seems to be making a habit of recording his duets with his son and we hope he keeps it up. A few weeks ago he posted a shorter clip of the pair singing Lionel Richie's Easy and Twitter went into complete meltdown when they heard the one-year-old sing.

We're feeling easy.

Buzz's musical talents have clearly been passed onto him from his dad who is the lead singer of McBusted and who writes all of the music for the band.

This video has brightened up our day, keep em' coming Tom!
