Katy Perry is officially the first celebrity to hit 50 million followers on Twitter, beating the likes of Beyoncé, Madonna and Lady Gaga.

Katy used the opportunity to plug her boyfriend John Mayer’s re-emergence to the Twittersphere by urging her fans to follow his page that has been in a “coma state”.

However it doesn’t seem as if John was too happy about rejoining the social media platform, joking that he had “mixed emojis”.

Having a bath can be the most relaxing part of many people’s day. What could be nicer in this cold, wet and windy weather than a long, warm soak?

Create your perfect bath-time experience with the following tips and feel yourself unwind.

  • Decide what type of bath you want; bubbles, detox or fragrant?
  • A detox bath is easily created with Epsom salts, apple cider vinegar, baking soda and some fresh grated ginger.
  • Use essential oils to create the perfect aroma for your bath. Choose oils with calming effects such as sandalwood, patchouli, lavender, bergamot or mandarin.
  • Lighting is an important aspect of your bath time because bright lights will make it hard to relax so make sure the lighting is dim and use lots of candles.
  • Put on a face mask to rejuvenate your skin.
  • Put on some slow-paced music on low volume.
  • Grab your favourite book (just don’t drop it) and maybe leave the Kindle in the bedroom.
  • Use your spare time in the bath, when not reading and unwinding, to exfoliate your skin with a glove or scrub.

A much loved and respected actor was lost this weekend and many of his fellow actors and public figures have been using social media outlets to voice their grief and dismay at losing Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Gwyneth Paltrow uploaded this cute picture of her laughing alongside Philip saying, “Philip was a true genius”.

Sir Ian McKellan’s touching tribute to the late actor featured an image of Philip and Natalie Portman shooting for the movie, The Seagull in 2001. McKellan talks about his regret at not meeting Hoffman when he came to see his play last month, saying; “Last month he came to our plays at the Cort Theatre. I wish, now more than ever, we had met afterwards, so I could have told him of my admiration”.

We all need a cake we can throw together for special occasions. This cake is gluten-free, making it perfect for those with intolerances, as well as being light and not too sweet. The perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee in the afternoon. It’s also quite easy to put together and doesn’t require too many ingredients.

What you’ll need:

  • 3 oranges
  • 4 eggs
  • 220g caster sugar
  • 300g ground almonds
  • 2 tbsp honey

What you’ll need to do:

  1. Grease an 8″ springform tin and line the bottom with baking parchment. Preheat oven to 180ºC.
  2. Put 2 unpeeled oranges into a steamer or set in a sieve above a pot of previously boiled water, now simmering.
  3. When the oranges have softened and broken down slightly but still retain their shape, remove.
  4. Cut the oranges into smaller pieces, place in a food processor and blend until smooth.
  5. Stir the almonds, eggs and sugar into the orange mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Pour into the lined tin and bake for about 55 mins to an hour or until a skewer comes out clean.
  7. Meanwhile, place the juice of the third orange into a small pan and add the honey. Heat to combine.
  8. When the cake is out of the oven pour the warm orange and honey syrup over the cake.

Cara Delevingne and Michele Rodiguez seem to be joined at the hip lately.

We’re sure their latest antics gave London commuters a giggle as the pair were spotted walking through Paddington station carrying lightsabers.

They were out paintballing to celebrating Cara’s birthday – she likes to organise them “six months or so late” – before getting the train.

In fact, their particularly wild antics have people guessing they are a couple .

Adding fuel to the relationship rumour, the ladies were apparently “very affectionate with each other” during the game. They even stripped down to their underwear, to the delight of the male players, to put on their combat suits.

The pair are looking for a place in London after Cara reportedly asked the 35-year-old to move in with her.

They are going to split their time between the UK and LA, so we’re sure this is not the last of the strange happenings from the Delevingne-Rodriguez duo.

Bruno Mars lit up the stage last night as he kicked off this year’s Super Bowl half-time performance.

While he wouldn’t usually be described as a rocker, the 28-year-old really left an impression on the crowd as he kept everyone going with his rocking performance.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers also joined him, so you can only imagine how electric they were.

Prepare yourself for this mega explosive performance.

If you want to look SHEmazing this summer, you really don’t have to spend a tonne of your time in the gym. In reality, the best thing you can do for your body and figure is to eat the right foods – those sit-ups won’t mean a thing if you’re filling your body with junk food.

Here are the best greens to eat if you want to achieve your goals:

Spinach
It’s packed with nutrients that will add volume to your food without any extra calories.

Peppermint
This leafy green is great for calming down stomach bloat and reducing indigestion.

Celery
Not only are they good to snack on, but celery also helps with fluid retention so the words ‘water weight’ will be a thing of the past.

Asparagus
As well as being an energy-packed food, asparagus helps normalise your sugar levels so you don’t have to worry about will-weakening cravings.

Kale
High in fibre, low in calories and contains zero fat – need we say more?
