There is a lot of speculation this morning that One Direction star Liam Payne has either gotten engaged, or certainly seems to be planning it.

Liam, who has been dating Sophia Smith since last year, began rumours amongst fans when he tweeted the lyrics to Magic’s song Rude: “Saturday morning jumped out of bed.” Rather than perhaps assuming the lyrics were just because it was Saturday, Twitter instantly jumped to the conclusion that he must be planning a proposal.

Then, Liam and Sophia sparked even further rumours when they were spotted shopping at the luxury jewellery store, Tiffany’s in New York on Saturday. Reports are now suggesting the pair may have gotten engaged.

If so, congratulations guys! Liam wouldn’t be the first member of the boyband to get engaged, as Zayn Malik popped the question to Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards in August 2013.

Normally, we’re too preoccupied going through the motions of our daily beauty routine to wonder what they must look like to someone else.

You’ve seen that open-mouthed squint you do when applying your mascara for the last ten or fifteen years, so to you it’s no biggie. That awkward stance you make when applying moisturiser to those hard to reach places is standard procedure and you think nothing of it, right?

Well, spare a thought for our boyfriends who often watch us go through this rigmarole and wonder what in the HELL we’re doing.

Eyebrow maintenance

They understand tweezing.

What they don’t understand is why you spent the last ten minutes removing unwanted hair only to begin drawing it back on with that pencil and weird looking gel.

Lip care

Oh , they understand lipstick application, alright.

What they don’t understand is why you’ve perfected your pout, only to put a piece of tissue between your lips and leave all your good work on his Kleenex.

Exfoliation and fake tanning

They understand showering and exfoliating. (Well, the last one’s a bit of a grey area.)

What they don’t understand is why you emerge from the shower squeaky clean, only to begin slathering yourself in brown muck.

French manicure

They understand a jazzy red or eye-catching purple shade. (They’re modern men after all and who doesn’t like a hand with a bit of attitude?)

What they don’t understand is why you would pay money to have your nails painted in the exact colour they already are.

Foundation application

They understand the need for concealer.

What they don’t understand is why you would spend fifteen minutes brushing liquid skin onto your already flawless skin.

My God girls, do they have a point?!

Viewers and fans were left worried during the recent final of The X Factor, when Mel B failed to make the Saturday night show after being hospitalised for an unexplained reason.

The singer returned to air for the Sunday night final but kept quiet about what had happened. Now though, it's been revealed that Mel's hospital trip was apparently due to an accidental overdose.

The star reportedly reacted badly to a dangerous combination of alcohol and tranquillisers, and was admitted to hospital as a result.

The revelation comes after a difficult week for Mel, during which she reportedly walked out on her husband Stephen Belafonte after a fraught few weeks.

There was some speculation about domestic abuse, though Stephen took to Twitter to angrily deny this allegation.

A source close to Mel said that she had been struggling to cope with the pressure of moving back to London, but that the accidental overdose was not a suicide attempt. The singer "mixed tranquilizers, including Xanax, with alcohol," the insider told Radar Online.

"It was absolutely accidental, and not intentional. She wasn’t suicidal, but the pressure of being back in London brought a lot of unresolved issues to the surface concerning being estranged from mother, Andrea [Faustini, Mel's X Factor finalist], and the rest of her family," said the source.

Stephen has reportedly flown to Los Angeles with the couple's 3-year-old daughter Madison, while Mel remains in the UK.

The trouble between singers Iggy Azalea and Azealia Bankns started off as a slanging match on Twitter, but it has escalated into something even more dramatic.

Azealia has made no secret of her dislike for Iggy in the past, publicly saying that she feels her success is undeserved and that she is insulting people of colour by acting like a black person but not caring about racism. 

The two have had numerous lengthy arguments on Twitter, but now it seems someone else has joined in the drama.

An anonymous user with the Twitter handle @TheAnonMessage began tweeting at Iggy over the weekend, threatening to release footage of her sex tape if she did not apologise to Azealia within 48 hours. 

The account, which has since been suspended, posted a number of threatening and angry tweets to the singer, calling her a "trashy b**ch" among other things.

One particularly worrying tweet read, "MESSAGE: @IGGYAZALEA, you have exactly 48 hours from now to release a statement apologizing to @AzealiaBanks and the protesters in NYC… You are guilty of misappropriating black culture, insulting peaceful protesters, and making light of Eric Garner's death. @IGGYAZALEA"

A later tweet read, "There's an X rated tape of you, we bet you'd certainly don't want public, are we right? @IGGYAZALEA….and this is nothing. Comply or else." 

Iggy has yet to make any public response to the tweets, but seeing as she has previously said that the media speculation surrounding the existence of an alleged sex tape "makes [her] sick," we can't imagine she was too happy with this latest development.

Women have a serious rep for constantly being fashionably late.

Apparently we have to start getting ready for a Saturday night out on a Wednesday afternoon if we’re ever going to make it to the party on time.

Our poor old boyfriend’s are left playing GTA on the couch while we painstakingly apply nail varnish to the cat’s claws while we wait for our hair masque to set, right?

If that doesn’t sound AT All familiar, it’s because you're the punctual person in your relationship and here, girls, are just SOME of the struggles you go through.

1. Your other half thought you ‘suffered from your nerves’ for the first two weeks you dated because you revealed you had turned up twenty minutes before him every single time.

Well, excuse me for caring.

2. You know you shouldn’t take his tardiness personally, but you can’t help it.

“It’s fine. I said, it’s fine!”

3. You’re always show up embarrassingly early to parties with him shuffling awkwardly behind you, because you’re so afraid of being late. All of which only makes him think you’re even more irrational.

Life is cruel.

4. You repeat the time and day you’re next due to meet up a million times while he nervously nods because he knows you’ll be texting constantly between now and then anyway.

5pm on Friday babes. Not 5.30. FIVE!

5. You feel like a sap waiting on the couch for him to turn up even though you’re warm, cosy and there’s no reason to stress.

I told him cuddle time would begin at seven dammit, seven!

We're used to being the bigger person in these situations.

Nicki Minaj is NOT happy!

The Pink Friday singer split from her long-term boyfriend Safaree Samuels recently and both parties seem to be finding the adjustment difficult.

Last week was reported that Safaree had been "openly" discussing suicide after discovering that Nicki had already moved on with a new boyfriend, rapper Meek Mill.

But it seems Nicki isn't doing too well either, after blasting Safaree in an epic Twitter rant over the weekend, which turned into a heated argument between the former couple.

Nicki lashed out at Safaree for treating her badly during their relationship, saying, "Even when I try to protect ppl, they still try to take advantage of me. Haven't u learned that God is in control? Stop while you're ahead." 

"God sees your ungrateful evil soul. I gave and gave and gave… But it was never enough. Don't make me. Too much love." 

The singer then spoke about how she had supported her ex when he decided to start his own music career. "Wanted fame. I gave u my blessing. I still love. I still love. I still love. I'll always love. So disappointed," she wrote, quoting lyrics from her song Pills N Potions.

Safaree was quick to defend himself and to criticise Nicki for discussing their relationship online:

We hope the two can work things out eventually and stay friends!

Reign!

Kourtney Kardashian’s newborn son’s name has been under wraps since his birth last week – but now it is finally here! 

The proud mum shared a photo of the little boy’s hand and wrote: “Madly in love with my little Reign Aston Disick. Aww. 

What a sweet photo. 

Reign is Kourntey’s third child with her partner Scott Disick who also have a daughter, Penelope and another son, Mason. Little Reign was born on Mason’s fifth birthday on December 14th. 

What a sweet photo, we can’t wait to see more!

Friends star David Schwimmer has been cast as Robert Kardashian Snr. in a new miniseries about the court case surrounding O.J. Simpson. 

The series, called American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson will also star Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. and Sarah Paulson as the lead prosecutor, Marcia Clark. 

As many fans of the Kardashians may not know, O.J. Simpson and his wife, Nicole Brown whom he was accused of murdering, were good friends of Kris Jenner and her ex-husband, Robert. O.J. is also Kim Kardashian’s godfather. 

We wonder what the family will make of the interesting casting made in their father’s name!

It has been reported that love has blossomed on the streets of Essex as former TOWIE star Amy Childs is dating Tom Pearce!

The pair are said to have known one another since they were children, and following Amy’s split from Adam Smith, begun dating. 

Although the couple never actually appeared on screen together, sources say things are going very well indeed: “Amy hasn't always had the easiest love like and luckily Tom was there to pick up the pieces after her split form Adam. The relationship is still in the very early stages but it’s likely things will get serious quite quickly.”

Tom is a well-known ladies man on TOWIE, having dated many of the girls such as Lucy Mecklenburgh, Lauren Pope and Lauren Goodger. 

We hope he treats her well!

Ooh, this break-up is certainly taking some twists and turns! It has been reported that Glee actress Dianna Agron may be the reason behind Caroline Flack and Jack Street’s bitter break-up!

It has been alleged that during his time in America working with Sam Smith, that Jack has become good friends with the actress, who plays Quinn on the hit show. It is said that their friendship caused a rift between Jack and Caroline, causing them to call it quits. 

Although this is far from confirmed, it does shed a LOT more light on Caroline’s cryptic tweet to Jack last week which has since been deleted. In the tweet, Caroline wrote: “easing your guilt? fill yourself with glee, Jack.” Until now, the tweet didn’t make much sense, but with this new Glee angle, could that be what she was hinting at? 

Thankfully for Caroline, we’re sure her break-up is the furthest thing from her mind right now after her amazing win on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend!

Elton John and David Furnish are officially married and have been sharing their special day with fans on Instagram. 

On Friday, Elton posted an invitation to look at some of the inside moments from their big day, and today he has been sharing snippets from their wedding. 

From the legal papers that begin the process to the ceremony itself, the newlyweds really are sharing the love!

One photo in particular is just simply adorable as it shows the couple's youngest son, Elijah cuddling up to one of his daddy's legs snuggling a teddy bear and was taken by his older brother, Zachary. Elton (or whoever is posting on his behalf today!) captioned the sweet photo: "Zachary grabs David's iPhone and takes a photo of his brother while we exchange our vows." How cute!

It would seem that Jessica Simpson has prompted some worry over her health following photos she posted on her Instagram account yesterday. 

The singer, who has made no secret of her weight-loss journey after having two children, posted a photo of herself on the social media site, but it seems to have attracted the wrong attention. 

Many followers have expressed concern over the photo, speculating that Jessica’s weight loss has perhaps gone too far with one commenter saying: "Jesus you're so thin" and another saying how she goes from one extreme to another. 

The mum-of-two often posts photos of her work-out and is very proud of the body she has achieved since giving birth to daughter Maxi in 2012 and Ace in 2013. 

Many of her followers also defended the photo, saying that it is never ok to comment on people's weight, big or small.
