Former Disney and X-Factor US star Ricky Garcia is suing his former manager for alleged rape, according to reports by TMZ and DailyMail.com.

The actor and singer found fame after he was chosen by Simon Cowell to form a boyband on the talent show, but the 20-year-old has accused Joby Harte of sexual assault and rape from the age of 12 onwards.

In documents filed by attorney Ben Meiselas of Geragos and Geragos, Garcia claims that Harte and his company Hot Rock Media used the ‘well-worn paedophile playbook of grooming and seduction’ to consistently get him ‘black out drunk’ only for Ricky to wake up in the morning beside him naked.

"Defendant Harte, the ringleader, employed the well-worn paedophile playbook of grooming and seduction. He targeted an economically and emotionally vulnerable pre-teen and his parents. He then groomed and seduced the child’s mother to have her lay down her defences and give him unfettered access to her son, making her an unwitting accomplice to his depravity," the documents reportedly state.

Garcia starred in Disney’s Best Friends Whenever, also alleges that Harte  groomed him into a ‘sexual plaything that could be passed around his friends in the business’, including producer Nils Larsen. The claims have been categorically denied by Larsen and ex-APA agent Tyler Grasham in the ‘malicious prosecution’,

Garcia is suing Harte, Grasham, Larsen, Hot Rock Media, Cohen/Thomas Management and its partners Sheri Andersen Thomas and Paul Cohen, as well as APA. On Harte's Wikipedia page, it states that he helped to lanch ITV show Pop Idol and worked on Strictly Come Dancing.

Ricky wrote to his Instagram to tell fans that "today was one of the most difficult days of my life";

"Sadly I know my experience is just one of many and I hope my actions today will help others who experienced abuse to know that they are not alone and that there are people in this world fighting for them.

"So please if anyone is out there right now going through something even remotely similar to what I went through, please, we all need to speak out about this – yes of course I want justice for the POS that manipulated me, but more importantly this is about saving anyone else who feels like they don’t have a voice," the actor continued.

"YOU are not alone. This can happen to anyone you know. It’s just a matter of talking about this to people and letting your close ones know that it’s not okay."

He concluded the post; "So if anyone knows anyone else that’s going through this s**t as well. It’s so important to speak up for them."

Ricky auditioned for The X Factor US season three when he was just 14-years-old, before being eliminated during the boot camp round.

Simon Cowell asked him to return along with Emery Kelly and Jon Klaasen to form a trio called Forever in Your Mind. They were cut before the final 16 but were later signed to Hollywood Records.

Tyler Grasham was fired from APA in October 2017 amid sexual harassment and assault allegations from Blaise Godbe Lipman, Lucas Ozarowski and Jordan Gavaris.

Is there any nostalgic band that isn't getting back together this year? From The Spice Girls and Westlife, to Avril Lavigne and Jojo dropping albums; we now have no idea what year it is.

Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes are somehow relevant again, and we're pure delighted that our pre-teen treasures are making a return.

News has just hit that The Jonas Brothers are making a comeback too, and we genuinely can't handle any more of this.

The band broke up back in 2013 citing "a deep rift within the band" and "creative differences", and the boys went their separate ways to pursue their own careers and love lives.

31-year-old Kevin randomly launched a business career after his E! Reality show Married To Jonas was cancelled, participating in The Celebrity Apprentice.

Now he co-manages the JonasWerner development company, a social media influencer firm The Blu Market and Yood, the food app.

29-year-old Joe is now engaged to Game Of Thrones' Sophie Turner, and is the lead singer of funk-pop group DNCE, of Cake By The Ocean fame.

26-year-old Nick, the youngest JoBro, released two successful solo albums, starred in Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, and got married to Priyanka Chopra. Everyone fell in love with them as a couple.

It seems like Nick did the best out of the lot, we all had a bop to Chains, Close and Jealous. They were absolute CHOONS.

According to Us Weekly sources, the brothers will rise from the ashes like a beautiful phoenix as JONAS.

They've ditched their chastity belts, so they also have to ditch the 'Brothers' and 'The' in the name to prove their serious musician-status. Gas.

Their reunion will reportedly result in new music, their first since 2009's Lines, Vines and Trying Times, tour dates and even a documentary. The band's Christian image must still be garnering fans from somewhere…

Nick has been liking tweets about the reunion, and The FADER noticed that their Instagram account has been reactivatedJONAS have yet to make an official announcement, but we've got our eyes peeled.

Kevin told Us in 2018 that he and his brothers often play music together and this summer, Just Jared reported sightings of the trio working on a project.

Now is the time to follow the lads if Camp Rock changed your adolescence…and the music industry forever. They're giving twenty-somethings what we really want, and we love them for it.

Thank the Gods: SO many of us didn't get tickets to see Westlife in Croke Park this July, and were pretty f*cking devastated.

Why should anyone miss out on the nostalgia, the final tour, the emotional rendition of Flying Without Wings? It wouldn't be fair, right, nor JUST we say.

Lucky for everyone involved, EXTRA DEMAND tickets are going onsale next week for one of the biggest gigs of their career.

GAA tickets for their stadium dates at Croke Park on Friday July 5 and Saturday 6 will go onsale this Tuesday February 12 at 9an from Ticketmaster nationwide.

When tickets for The Twenty Tour were first released, they were snapped up ridiculously quick in October, so the announcement comes as unreal news for any fans who missed out.

The lads are expected to be performing their absolute BOP of a new single Hello My Love, alongside their greatest hits and their 14 number one hits; Swear it Again, World of Our Own, Uptown Girl and When You're Looking Like That being among them.

The shows will be their first as a band in the Republic of Ireland since they played Croke Park back in June of 2012.

The group have sold over 55 million records worldwide, and are the only band to have their first seven singles enter the UK chart at number one: WHOA.

Make sure to get yourselves ready early on Tuesday morning, the ticket snatch could be pure manic.

Westlife have officially made their long-awaited return to our lives, thank the gods, but it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows back in the day for the boyband.

The band stopped by The Graham Norton Show last week to perform their brand new single, Hello My Love, but Nicky Byrne revealed some spicy drama.

According to the radio DJ and member of the group, Liam Gallagher told the band to "f*ck off" the first time they met. Ouch, someone take the lads to the burns unit STAT.

The 40-year-old singer claimed the band flew to London in 1998 after signing a record deal, with Louis Walsh as their manager.

Byrne told Graham Norton; “So they were having a drink in a circle of people so me and one of the boys walked over and tipped them on the shoulder."

“Liam turned around and we said, 'Liam we're Louis Walsh's new band and he just went "f*** off”. So we just f****d off." The salt, it's just too real.

The group's new single is their first release in almost a decade, and it was penned by pop legend Ed Sheeran.

Hello My Love went straight to number one on the iTunes on Thursday evening, and Westlife even got a congratulatory message from ex-band member Brian McFadden, despite rumours of bad blood.

Hello My Love has been popular with fans, but frequently compared to Sheeran’s hit Castle On A Hill as opposed to “your typical Westlife song”.

Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan will embark on their Twenty Tour this summer, playing two huge gigs in Croke Park in July.

Kian reiterated his opinion that their fans would be “taken aback” by their new sound, according to Metro UK“Good songs are good songs, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a Westlife song or not.”

The Twenty Tour is their fastest-selling ever, selling a whopper 400,000 tickets within 48 hours of release.

Westlife's brand new single Hello My Love has OFFICIALLY been released, after airing on Breakfast Republic on RTE 2FM this morning.

The boyband uploaded a short video to Twitter confirming the catchy pop track's release, and the internet went into absolute meltdown.

The tune was written by renowned pop hitmakers Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac, so it's bound to make it to the top of the charts.

In the short clip, Kian Egan announces to their ecstatic fanbase; "Our brand new single Hello My Love is out right now!"

The boys will be performing the new single on tomorrow night's The Graham Norton Show, which is set to be a big night for Shane, Kian, Mark and Nicky.

The lads are releasing their first album in a whopping EIGHT LONG YEARS, and it's safe to say our hearts may just stop when it drops.

Westlife will finish their tour with two massive dates at Croke Park in Dublin this July, which had tickets flying out the door.

The four members shared a photo which appeared to have been taken inside GAA Headquarters before the tour was confirmed, teasing their Croke Park gigs to excited fans.

The Twenty Tour is the boybands' fastest selling tour of all time, it sold an INSANE 400,000 tickets in just 48 hours.

In other news, Westlife have dismissed consistent rumours that Brian McFadden is to rejoin the band, commenting that: “Everyone is talking about this except us.”

It's Robbie Williams vs Take That drama all over again. At least we're getting a brand new chune and a tour?

We don't even know if we're ready for the explosion of Westlife fever which will ensue from their single, prepare yourselves gals.

Having Ed Sheeran on your team can never be a bad thing.

Which is exactly what Westlife thought when they decided to reunite.

The band, who are gearing up for a massive comeback, have drafted in Ed Sheeran to co-write their latest single.

The boyband reportedly want to reach younger fans with their music and who better than multi-award-winning superstar Ed Sheeran?

It was revealed that the band, who split six years ago, were getting back together albeit with one less member, Brian McFadden.

It has been said that the group were desperate to have the 27-year-old pen the track.

“It took quite some time to pull together and has been done totally behind closed doors, but he has finally given them the right record to make it happen.”

“Having Ed involved is a huge coup. They think he will give them a contemporary edge for their reunion.''

“They have already recorded the song and are delighted with the results. They’re just pulling together the final promo details including a video before they unveil it. It’s going to be huge.''

Westlife went their separate ways in October 2011, after selling more than 44 million of records worldwide as well as having 26 UK Top 10 hits, 14 UK Number One Singles and seven chart-topping albums.

With Ed on board, we're sure their next single is guaranteed to be a hit too.

Hold the phone – Ed Sheeran is creating his very own boyband, and it's like something we never knew we wanted.

Because, let's be honest, most boybands have had their time; but an Ed Sheeran boyband? Now that's what we're talking about.

The singer is in the middle of auditioning aspiring performers to make a "superpop" group.

The handsome red head graced the cover of Rolling Stone this month, and the feature inside claims Ed is “in the process of auditioning members of a boy band” and has “already written lots of songs for the group."

The songs are “really, really decent. Superpop, but obviously credible."

He added that he will also want to take the successful lads on tour with him: “I’m gonna put three or four boys together and do all the songs, take them on the stadium tour with me.”

We can't wait for this!

As he cancels yet another gig due to anxiety problems, Zayn Malik has revealed that he's turning to TV for a while.

The former One Direction star is teaming up with Law & Order SVU creator Dick Wolf on a series about being in a boyband (fitting).

But Zayn isn't just going to be feeding knowledge to the show as he's been named as one of the executive producers.

A photo posted by Zayn Malik (@zayn) on

The current name of the show is Boys, but that could change.

Apparently, the series will focus on the formation of a boyband and then the pressures of being in the spotlight all the time – something Zayn knows only too well.

According to OK!, Zayn said of his latest project: "Dick Wolf is a legend and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome."

We're looking forward for this to come out now.

We may all remember Abz Love as the cool as a cucumber rapping member of our favourite nineties boyband, 5ive, but it seems that this popstar's life has changed dramatically since his days of touring the world.

After revealing how he went down a bad route following the demise of 5ive, his life changed for the better after he relocated to the country with partner, Vicky Fallon.

However after burning all his money on his party lifestyle, Abz has since struggled to make ends meet.

After unsuccessfully attempting to flog off his Brit award for some cash, the London star has decided to take another route.

In his first musical release in over a decade, Abz has released a song about… well… chickens.

With all the proceeds going towards his farming venture, this is one vid you need to see to believe.

Any old Jonas Brothers fans, you better sit down for this one because Joe may have just made our reunion dreams come true.

It's been two years since the band has split up but Nick, Joe and Kevin haven't completely shut the doors on their boyband days.

But we can't get too excited because it's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

“It’s easy to say we’re done and that we’re never doing it again, but then we both look at each other and go, ’We obviously get along,'” Joe told PrideSource.

“And who knows — years from now, we could be like, ’All right, let’s make a record.’ It could easily happen.”

While we can't expect the guys to be writing their fifth album anytime soon, you can expect a Nick and Joe team-up.

“Nick and I have a few ideas to work with other artists who we really like. There are a couple of artists out there that we think are really incredible that we’d like to work together with."

At least that's something!
