Caitlyn Jenner

Accepting her trophy at the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards last week, Caitlyn Jenner got a warm round of laughs from the audience when she told them that the "hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear."

But the transgender activist's speech didn't go down too well with some people, including actress Rose McGowan, who has already hit back at Caitlyn online for misrepresenting women.

"Caitlyn Jenner you do not understand what being a woman is about at all," she wrote on Facebook yesterday.

"We are more than deciding what to wear. We are more than the stereotypes foisted upon us by people like you.

"You're a woman now? Well f***ing learn that we have had a VERY different experience than your life of male privilege."

Speaking at the awards on Monday November 9, Caitlyn admitted that the types of questions she got from interviewers after her transition differed greatly from the topics she was asked about before.

"I got all these new questions from people, saying, 'What's your style? What are you going to wear? Who are your heroes? Are you a feminist?' All these questions and I said, 'Oh my gosh, I have so much to learn.'" she explained.

Taking issue with Caitlyn's speech, Rose continued: "Woman of the year? No, not until you wake up and join the fight.

"Being a woman comes with a lot of baggage. The weight of unequal history.

"You'd do well to learn it. You'd do well to wake up. Woman of the year? Not by a long f***ing shot."

Before deleting the post completely last night following backlash, Rose edited it to clarify her comments.

"Let me amend this by saying I'm happy for what she's doing visibility wise for the trans community, and I'm happy she's living her truth, but comments like hers have consequences for other women," she wrote.

Caitlyn Jenner has yet to respond via social media.

Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner was left terribly shaken after she was targeted outside a charity event this week.

The 66-year old was speaking at a lunch which was hosted by an LGBT charity in Chicago when she was confronted by a group of angry protestors. Apparently they were not impressed that a “clueless rich white woman” was representing their community.

As she was leaving the venue, the group began firing abuse at the former Olympian. One individual apparently told her: “You are an insult to trans people, you are an insult to women.”

The group behind the protest, who have a Facebook group named I Ain’t Cait, explained the reasons behind the protest in a post. They wrote that she doesn’t understand the challenges which other trans women face because of her background.

They also have taken issue with Caitlyn’s previous comments on social housing:

“Caitlyn Jenner… lives in a mansion and has a net worth of millions of dollars, while the average trans person has a 41 percent chance of experiencing homelessness and a nearly 50 percent chance of living off less than $10k per year."

In the video, filmed by Showbiz Shelly, another protestor is heard stating: “You have no right to represent us!” Another added:

“I won't support her as an act of bravery for transitioning in the public's eye, while millions are homeless for identifying, dead, or dying because they have to do damn near anything just to find a place to sleep at night.”

Despite Caitlyn being named as one of Glamour’s Women of the Year, it would seem that she is still facing serious backlash. In a BuzzFeed interview she described the most difficult part of being a woman as “figuring out what to wear”, and people we not happy.

One protestor told the Chicago Tribune she cannot speak on the "real" struggles trans women face, and focusing on fashion or beauty regimes "defaces the real truth behind transitioning.”

Caitlyn Jenner has been modelling her style on another famous brunette, it would seem.

Rather than turn to Kim, Khloé and co. for inspiration, Ms. Jenner favours a more refined, understated look – and her latest choice of dress is evidence of that.

The former Olympian stepped out in LA earlier this week wearing the same Issa London dress that Kate Middleton chose in 2010 when announcing her engagement to Prince William.

The sapphire blue wraparound 'Phylis' dress sold out almost instantly back in 2010, and again when it reappeared on shelves in Harvey Nichols earlier this year.

It retails at a staggering €800 – though a significantly cheaper €110 version was briefly available thanks to Issa's Banana Republic capsule collection.

Caitlyn seems to have plumped for the original though, as her dress is almost identical to Kate's.

This isn't the first time Caitlyn has emulated the Duchess' style, of course.

When she's not rocking a Kate-esque casual look of skinny jeans, knee-high boots and a blazer, Caitlyn is often seen in dresses very similar to those worn by the famous Royal.

The dress above, for example, is a carbon copy of Kate's Erdem dress, worn to an event in Canada a few years back.

As wardrobe inspiration goes, we reckon Caitlyn could do a lot worse than K-Middy.

A Dublin-based flooring company has had one of its billboards labelled ‘distasteful’ and ‘transphobic’.

The billboard in question, which appeared on social media, features a photograph of Caitlyn Jenner alongside the phrase ‘Fancy a Change?’

Hamptons Floor Store posted images of the billboard on Facebook and subsequently it sparked quite a fierce debate.

While some commenters had called the billboard, which also features the hashtag #GetLaid, distasteful others noted that it was nothing more than a clever marketing campaign.

The hashtag has featured in previous advertisements of the company. A spokesperson for Hamptons Floor Store told TheJournal.ie that the billboard is “more of a celebration of the new Ireland that we’re in, given the passing of the (marriage equality) referendum – which we were very supportive of”.

A spokesperson for the TENI the Transgender Equality Network Ireland was not of the same opinion. They also told TheJournal.ie:

“Hamptons Floor Store’s intentions with this ad may have been good, but the execution is misguided and would have benefited from the input of TENI and the trans community.”

Previously, the company managed to get people talking when they displayed this billboard prior to the marriage referendum:

There have been a total of 14 series so far – with the latest instalment about to kick off next month.

And while the exact famous faces who will be entering the Celebrity Jungle this year have not yet been confirmed, rumour is now abound.

Indeed, a certain Louis Walsh, 63, has already confirmed that he is currently in talks with producers to appear on the hit show for 2015.

He told BBC Newsbeat rather cryptically that he "could be" about to make his I'm A Celebrity debut: "I'm not saying I said no, I am not saying I said yes. Let's see what happens."

But seemingly ITV chiefs are desperate to have the Mayo-man sign the dotted line: they're reportedly willing to cough up €675,000 in order to persuade him to jet out to the Aussie wilderness.

Not that Louis is the only well-known name being courted by producers. Here, SHEmazing! rounds-up the current crop of stars being linked to I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2015…

Since splitting a year ago and subsequently divorcing, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner – parents to teenagers Kendall and Kylie – have understandably weathered their fair share of storms.

And while both have previously voiced their criticisms of one another, now the world's most famous momager has REALLY come out fighting – speaking angrily about her former husband's high-profile Vanity Fair interview.

The Call Me Cait covershoot marked the reality TV star's transition from Bruce to Caitlyn.

With the likes of Barack Obama publicly praising her "courage," the publication went on to spark waves of support internationally, as well as better awareness of the transgender community.

Yet the accompanying interview – which was fairly disparaging of the 65-year-old Olympian's marriage to Kris – raised eyebrows… evidently not least in the Kardashian-Jenner household.

Now, in the most recently aired episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Ms Jenner can be seen deeply upset by her ex-husband's words.

"He can go f*** himself!" Kris, 59, sobbed on the phone to her daughter Kim immediately after the July-issue magazine was released.

"I honestly wish I never met this man. I mean, just f*** you Bruce," Kris added. She also wondered: "It’s just crazy to me that Caitlyn would not discuss the years of really happy times."

Khloe, 31, nailed her colours to the mast, chipping in with: "I’m not going to be fully supportive if she’s not fully supportive of mom."

Scott Disick, 32, the former partner of Kourtney, added the former Bruce Jenner only cared about amassing Twitter followers, while even 34-year-old Kim said that she was really "upset and hurt," by what was said.

In the Vanity Fair interview, Caitlyn claimed she was "mistreated," and "controlled" during her 25-year marriage to Kris. "A lot of times she wasn’t very nice," Caitlyn continued.

She went on to say that once Keeping Up With The Kardashians began to air in 2007 and Kris had her own money, "in a lot of ways she became less tolerant of me".

There has been another addition to the already large Jenner brood of late. Brandon Jenner, son of Caitlyn, and his wife Leah have shared their first photo of their baby girl with the world.

The duo took to social media and posted a photograph of Leah with their newborn, Eva James Jenner.

The snap shows the first-time mom, 32, cuddling with her baby girl in bed. Little Eva, now 2 months, is swaddled up in an apple-printed blanket and stares at the camera. Look at those cheeks though, so cute.

It's an honor, little one.

The caption of the photo read: "It's an honour, little one." Eva is the third biological grandchild of Caitlyn Jenner. Her parents announced her birth on Instagram this summer writing:

"On Wednesday, July 22nd I became a Mom," Leah wrote at the time. "It has without a doubt been the most profoundly beautiful time in my life but also emotionally, spiritually and physically challenging too….and I am so grateful for every second of it. Brandon and I are taking care of our healthy, little baby girl, Eva James Jenner."

Thank you for your love..best 11 years of my life. Happy anniversary @brandontjenner #11yearstoday

Not long ago the couple celebrated eleven years together, which Leah also chose to mark by posting a cute snap of the two on her Instagram account:

"Thank you for your love..best 11 years of my life," she wrote, alongside the intimate shot of her hubby nuzzling her head. "Happy anniversary @brandontjenner #11yearstoday."

Rumour has been abound for weeks that relations between Caitlyn Jenner and her children, step-children and ex-wife Kris are becoming increasingly strained.

And certainly eyebrows have now been raised yet again – because none of Cait's family turned up to her renaming ceremony.

The milestone event, segments of which were shown in the US last night during E!'s I Am Cait finale, was attended by the former Olympian's gaggle of transgender friends, as well as pop-star Boy George.

During the episode, she can be seen telling the close-knit congregation: "I feel at home and I have a family," although significantly none of her blood relations could make it.

Kendall, 19, and Kylie Jenner, 18, as well as Brody Jenner, a 32-year-old son from Caitlyn's second marriage were all noticeably absent. And none of her stepchildren – Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob – attended either.

Despite the absence of the Kardashian-Jenner crew, there were still several high-profile names there to support her – as well as Boy George, Caitlyn's rumoured love interest, Candis Cayne, was also a guest.

Boy George recently brought Ms Jenner on stage during a performance, and he was happy to lend his vocal talents to renaming ceremony, which furthermore consisted of poems, readings and music from a gospel choir.

Minister Allyson Dylan Robinson opened the service by discussing the power of names before the reality star revealed she wanted to be known as Caitlyn Marie Jenner.

Afterwards the 65-year-old told the gathering: "It has been an amazing journey, and I'm seeing all of it come true. I'm in a great place in life and, for the first time, I feel like I fit in some place.

"Being my authentic self. Thank you."

Every Halloween we see a new costume crop up associated with current pop culture events – and this year is certainly no different.

Fans of Caitlyn Jenner were enraged when they saw costumes of the reality stars Vanity Fair cover go up online, mimicing the day she announced to the world that she is a trans woman.

Many LGBT advocates and supporters of Jenner were not happy, calling the costumes transphobic and insulting.

But apparently, it doesn't bother Caitlyn.

Speaking on the TODAY show, the 65-year-old admitted she doesn't have a problem with it, much to everyone's surprise.

“I’m in on the joke. I don’t think it’s offensive at all,” Ms Jenner told Matt Lauer.

“I know the community does and they’ve gotten a lot of criticism for doing it. I think it’s great.”

Say what now?! In fact, the Olympic star seemed to have a much greater concern for the quality of the piece rather than anything else.

“I mean, that was a serious bustier on the cover of Vanity Fair,” she laughed.

“At least get some good clothes. You’ve got to enjoy life. Life’s too short. I can’t get too upset about that type of stuff.”

Just yesterday, model Kendall Jenner and posted an intriguing throwback snap on her Instagram account – a platform on which some 36.3million people follow her.

In the image, taken from 1993, her parents Kris and the then Bruce Jenner can be seen clad in leather gear and sitting on top of a motorbike.

"YO. Goals," she captioned the image, which has now notched up close-to 1million likes.

The photograph was taken just two years after the duo married – and more than 20 years before they eventually split. Earlier this year, of course, the former Bruce transitioned from male to female and became Caitlyn.

And now, Caitlyn herself has shared her own family-focused pic on social media.

Using her Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, she posted an image of Kendall, the eldest of two children that she had with Kris.

In it, the 19-year-old's arms are wrapped around her dad, with Ms Jenner including the simple caption: "Love my little girl."

She added that it was "so great to spend time," with Kendall.

In the US on Sunday, E! aired its latest episode of I Am Cait, which featured a tense, first-time meeting between Kris and Caitlyn.

"You're sensitive and amazing to all these new people in your life," the 59-year-old momager told her former husband while blinking back tears.

"But you're not so sensitive and amazing to the family that you left behind."

Now this certainly clears up a few things.

There are worse people to base your style on than the world's most stunning actress, we guess.

But we're not really surprised Caitlyn takes style inspiration from other places than her family, as they can all have many style disasters.

In the latest clip of Caitlyn's documentary, I Am Cait, the 65 year-old hires the help of stylist Jen Rade to get ready for the Espy Award back in July – and the only reason she hired Jen is because she is Angelina's stylist too.

"I just love her look, " admits Cait.

"Very casual, very elegant, chic."

In the scene where Jen meets Cait she is stunned by how impressive her wardrobe is.

"Oh my gosh, this is a great closet! Every one of these is so pretty," Jen said. "I was thinking I wanted to go shopping for you, but this is beautiful!"

In July, Caitlyn was awarded the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the sports ceremony, in which you will see in the next installment of I Am Cait.

Caitlyn Jenner has finally made her talk show debut!

The 65-year old former Olympic gold medallist sat down with Ellen Degeneres to give her first TV interview since her transition earlier this year.

She opened up about the challenges that have come with transitioning, as well as how she has been considering her dating life since becoming a woman.

Among one of the many topics covered in her interview, Caitlyn spoke about her feelings towards same-sex marriage. It has been known that in the past Caitlyn identified as a Republican and admits that she did approve of same-sex marriage.

Ellen points out that as a conservative republican, Caitlyn would be less inclined to supports many of the issues surrounding equality which the trans-community, and now Caitlyn are fighting for.

Caitlyn confessed that in the past she considered herself a “traditionalist” and says she considered marriage to be between a man and a woman.

Since her transition however, Caitlyn says:

“Like a lot of people on this issue, I have really changed my thinking to: I don’t ever want to stand in the way of anybody’s happiness.”

Ellen questions whether she is completely on board with it, to which Caitlyn answers “I’m on board. It’s pretty much gonna be the lay of the land so I’m on board [sic].”

When asked whether she misses Bruce at all, Caitlyn said absolutely not. She tells the veteran talk show host that she is happy to be able to wake up each day now and be her true self.

Caitlyn also spoke about telling her family about her transition and how difficult that was for her. She explained that her children were the most supportive and comfortable with the news. Her ex-wife Kris Jenner however, she admitted proved the most difficult to break the news too.
