The stadium shows will be their first as a group since playing Croke Park back in 2012.

Westlife have sold over 55 million records worldwide, and are the sole band to have had their first seven singles enter at No. 1 on the UK chart.

Another unbelievable record; the lads have the most singles of any artist to debut at No. 1 in the UK, and have had an amazing 33 No. 1 albums worldwide.

Spectrum, and their latest single Hello My Love, were released in September and was the first since 2011.

So, it's a well know fact that when Ed Sheeran isn't recording and touring his own chart topping albums, he's actually helping to write hit songs for other artists.

With a client base the includes the likes of  One Direction, Rudimental, Justin Bieber and The Weeknd, the 26-year-old has made a name for himself as one of the most sought after songwriters in the music business.

Everyone want a piece of the Ed Sheeran pie – even Louis Walsh.

Speaking to The Sun, the music manger explained how he was eager for Westlife to reform and was confident he could make their music popular once again.

In an effort to bring the boy band up to speed with today's trends, Louis revealed that he had enlisted the help of two very famous writers – Ed Sheeran and James Arthur.

"I've already spoken to people about writing songs for them. Two in particular are Ed Sheeran and James Arthur. I've talked to both of them already," he said.

''I want to give them notice to write some really good songs.''

And while a Westlife reunion is definitely in the cards, the X Factor judge admitted that no date had been set.

"A Westlife reunion is definitely going to happen – but I have no idea when," he said.

"I'm still really good friends with all of the lads. I was chatting to Mark Feehily last night about the Christmas album he's bringing out, and its amazing. I'd forgotten how talented he is."

"I think the reunion will be great, but it's up to them to decide when they will do it."

Can Ed put a modern twist on these 90s boys? Only time will tell.

Some celebs have such notions…

And the latest that needs to come back down to earth is James Arthur.

The former X Factor finalist recently came back on the music scene with a new album… yet, he thinks Justin Bieber and Zayn Malik (to name a few) have copied his style.

“I think Justin Bieber and Zayn have both been listening to me a lot and they basically wanna be me,” he told The Sun.

“There’s a couple of tracks of Zayn’s where he ad libs. I asked Louis Tomlinson whether he’s been listening to me and he said ‘Yeah, he’s been lurking’,” he claims.

And he didn't stop there.

Oh, no. James suggested that other musicians are only where they are now because they come from a wealthy background.

“I’m not saying none of these guys are talented, but people think Ed Sheeran crawled off a couch and lived on the street or something but him, Ellie Goulding . . . they all come from Suffolk, Surrey, Richmond.

"I think Sam Smith’s dad got a huge loan or something to help his career. Those things can help artists get attention but I guess my song Say You Won’t Let Go proved it’s about the song."

Lad, come on…

Yesterday on the Capital London Breakfast Show, James Arthur sang an incredible acoustic version of 50 Cent’s massive hit "In Da Club".

We will admit that the idea of a slower, acoustic version of this club-night classic is a strange concept, but OMG it works.

After his performance, James gifted his guitar to the presenters of the show, which will be given to a very lucky competition winner.

After being dropped from Simon Cowell's record label, X Factor winner, James Arthur, found himself facing into a fairly bleak future.

Without a penny to his name, the singer looked like he was going to be confined to the X Factor 'has-been' category alongside the likes of Steve Brookstein and Leon Jackson.

And it was then that reality show execs began inundating him with offers to appear on some of Britain's biggest reality television shows – invitations which James ultimately declined.

Recalling this period of life, the singer, whose comeback track hit the top of the charts in recent weeks, insists it was the right decision at the time, and even says he wouldn't have gotten a number one had he become a Celebrity Big Brother housemate.

"I got offered loads of reality shows including I’m A Celebrity and Celebrity Big Brother," he revealed during an interview with the Daily Star Sunday.

"They were life-changing amounts of money. The most I got offered was £250,000 for CBB, which I really needed at the time, not knowing if I had a career."

While paying tribute to the shows which helped revive some stars' flagging careers, James insists it wasn't for him.

"I’m a huge fan of those shows but I don’t think there’s any chance I would be back at No. 1 now if I’d gone down that route."

He might have a point, in fairness.

After three years out of the limelight, X Factor winner, James Arthur, has burst back onto the music scene.

And while many are celebrating his triumphant return, it looks like not everybody is happy with the singer's latest offering.

Say You Won't Let Go, which reached number one in the UK charts, is currently embroiled in controversy as whisperings escalate that the track has more than a passing similarity to The Script's The Man Who Can't Be Moved.

According to The Sun, a publishing company for the Dublin band are currently investigating the matter in an attempt to see whether the British singer ripped off their 2008 track.

Commenting on the furore, a source close to the reality show winner revealed that the controversy is taking its toll on James.

"James has just got on the straight and narrow after a difficult few years and a lawsuit is the last thing he needs," the insider explained.

"Say You Won’t Let Go is already one of the biggest singles of the year so this is a real hammer blow," they added while acknowledging: "There is no doubt the songs sound alike and have a similar chord progression."

We're curious to see how this one pans out…

“But then I’d think, ‘Don’t do it, you’ve got sisters, you’re the man of the family.”

“There was many a time I thought of it,” he continued.

James could very well resurface with a major bang now that Simon has signed him BACK onto Syco this week.

After topping the iTunes charts with Say You Won't Let Me Go and The Truth, the 28-year-old was signed right back up by the music mogul.

A source told The Sun: "Over the last few years James has kept in touch with Simon.

"Simon has always thought James is a real talent but as soon as he heard the record he made up his mind to re-sign him.

It would seem as though life has not been easy for James Arthur, since he won the X Factor back in 2012!

The reality TV show winner developed a dependence on marijuana and prescription pills shortly after his success, resulting in thoughts of suicide.

James recently opened up to The Sun, where he spoke of his struggles.

"My lowest moment was when I was going to bed, I'd take 15 pre-rolled joints and smoke one after the other, popping anti-depressants. My head was an absolute mess."

The 28-year-old even said he considered taking his own life at one stage, saying "I'd never been a guy who suffers from suicidal tendencies, but I had taken all I could take from life".

Despite the many demons James faced, he is now totally clean and believes that the music he wrote for his new album is his best work.

Glad to see James is doing better!
