The fact that the last Dublin Bus route ends before midnight has long been a bone of contention for night working commuters.

However, Dublin Bus could soon be rectifying this by providing the capital with a 24-hour bus service.

A trial scheme for three main routes serving the city centre will be rolled out over the course of 2018.

All going to plan, a 24-hour bus service will serve each route, according to The Sun

The routes will be north, south and west directions.

'These routes will operate through the night,' chairperson of Dublin City Council Transportation Committee Ciaran Cuffe told Newstalk.

'I’m not sure if it will be hourly or every two hours, but I certainly think that the demand is there.'

'There’s quite a demand from night workers who simply want to get to and from home through the night, and that’s what a modern city needs,' he said.

Fingers crossed one of those routes is passing our house…

While we love a good Easter egg (and chocolate will always be bae) we've made a discovery that has us questioning the traditional chocolate egg.

We're big makeup lovers at SHEmazing HQ, so the fact that there is a makeup Easter Egg out there in the world that we don't yet own doesn't sit well with us.

From makeup masters I Heart Revolution Beauty, the Surprise eggs are exacgtly what we want this year, and we kind of want to collect them all.

There are a number of varieties of this palette, and they all come in the kitch little egg-shaped case, containing five eye shadows and two highlighter powders

Each egg ticks a particular beauty trend box, whether it's the Dragon egg, full of red and berry shadows, or the Rose Gold egg, chock-a-block with shimmer pink hues.

Many of the palettes are fashioned after stunning mythical creatures, such as mermaids and unicorns.

As if that wasn't enough, the makeup eggs are a very affordable €7.18.

One for everyone in the audience, we think.

Dating in  the modern era can be difficult, as online dating opens the floor to so many unknown factors.

Like, I know we matched on Tinder but why hasn't he written to me? Or okay, she has my WhatsApp now, but wy hasn't she suggested we go for an after work drink?

It's hard out there for a relationship seeker to figure out whether people are really truly interested in you, or if they have just swiped right on evryone.

We've often joked about accepting dating applications from eager suitors, but now that concept has been made into a reality.

Apply To Date is a new online site where you do exactly as described above.

Simply create your own bachelorette page and wait for the applicants to roll in.

The concept will be particularly welcomed by those of us with a seriously picky criteria.

While it's definitely a functional, and slightly impersonal, way to date, we might just be ready to try it.

Applicants must be Netflix fanatics, have facial hair and believe in repealing the 8th amendment…

Saving can be an absolute pain in the hole, but it's a necessary evil to achieve certain life goals.

Whether you're saving up for a new bicycle, six months of travelling the world, or that Gucci belt you've been hearting on Instagram forever, here are a few things to cut out to build up the nest egg.

7. Online clothes shopping

Okay, I know this one sounds dramatic, but in order to save for that car or mega-holiday, you have to make some sacrifices.

Online shopping is dangerous, as if feels like you're not really sending anything as no cash physically exchanges hands.

Set some rules for yourself, like you cannot buy for occasions, only for needs. So, you're not allowed buy a new skirt for that night out on Friday because you can re-wear last month's dress in a new way, but if your boots have a hole in the sole, you can buy new boots.

6.Cocktails

When you go out for drinks with the gals, set yourself a limit.

Look up the place you're going to for drinks and only bring exactly enough cash for three drinks and enough money to get home. Leaving your bank card at home can be scary, but if you only have a certain amount of money, you'll only spend a certain amount of money.

Just make sure you have a safe way to get home.

5. Coffee

This as an oldie but a goldie. Even if you're only buying one complicated coffee drink a week, that can add up to €20 per month, or €260 per year.

If you're a more regular coffee buyer, that could add up to almost €1000 per year.

Get some caramel latte sachets from a supermarket and leave the syrupy drinks to the barista.

4. Branded food

Being brand-loyal can cost you hundreds over the course of the year.

While you may be tempted by the recognisable comfort of big-name brands, supermarket own brand foods can often be just as good and come in at half the price.

Give the label-less foods a try, while you may not like some, others might end up sticking around on your shopping list – saving you euros over the course of the month.

3. Brunch

Look, I'm really sorry about this one, but brunching on the regular can add up.Brunching in Dublin can cost around €30 per head if you're tucking into a cocktail with your eggs benny, and if that's happening every Sunday, you're totally €120 per month, or €1440 per year.

That's your entire holiday paid for over the course of the year. A more sensible way to catch up with the girls is to do a come dine with me style rota, where each Sunday one person is tasked with whipping up a brunch for the gang.

Everyone can chip in a fiver for ingredients, and afterwards you can settle down on the couch for an afternoon movie and chat, rather than having to move on for the next table of brunchers.

2. Meat

After being veggie for three years, I'm estimating that I've saved around €2340 in that time by not buying meat, saving €15 per week on my weekly shop.

Fresh meat can be one of the priciest items on a grocery list, so maybe go meat-free during the week to save yourself some cash if you have a longterm goal in mind.

1. Phone credit

Get yourself a plan with unlimited internet and no other frills.

You can call or text using apps like WhatsApp and Viber, so as long as you have 4G you're good to go.

Depending on your provider, plans like this can cost as little as €10 per month.

Despite the rise of the body positivity community, body shaming still happens on the regular.

While no one is immune to the pressures of societal standards, celebrities seem to get the worst of it.

With the Kardashians dominating the headlines, social feeds and style pages of every platform internationally, they face a perpetual onslaught of body scrutiny.

Not one to stand back and let s*it go by unmentioned, Jameela Jamil defended the Kardashian recently, after she came across a post on Instagram which outlined each of the KUWTK star's weights.

Kim in particular was singled out in the post, which asked fans to comment their weights and to decided whether Kim looked as heavy as she was.

Taking to Twitter, Jameela slated the post for promoting weight value and obsession, and highlighted areas of her life which were far more valid than her weight.

'I weigh: Lovely relationship. Great friends. I laugh everyday. I love my job. I speak out for women's rights. I like my bingo wings.'

'I like myself in spite of EVERYTHING I've been taught by the media to hate about myself.'

Jameela began to receive similar manifestos from women around the world, and has set up a body positivity community iof her own in response.

A post shared by I Weigh (@i_weigh) on

Called @i_weigh, the Instagram page features women of all types sharing what is important about them – never mind anyone's weight.

The posts are hugely empowering, and act as a reminder that all women, including celebrities, are far more than their scale reading.

'I’m fucking tired of seeing women just ignore what’s amazing about them and their lives and their achievements, just because they don’t have a bloody thigh gap,' Jameela wrote.'

This was the reminder we all needed today about loving ourselves a little more and never buying in to scathing critiques of our own bodies and the bodies of others.

The next time someone rolls there eyes at your casual swearing, just tell them you were being honest.

And if that doesn't work, hit them with the facts, because according to new research, people who choose to express themselves through swear words may actually be more trustworthy than those who don't.

Take that, Mam.

A study published in the Social Psychological and Personality Science journal examined 276 people to find out how and why they curse.

The team, led by Gilad Feldman of Maastricht University in the Netherlands, asked the participants to make a list of there favourite swear words as well as a 'self-report' noting how many times they used them per day.

Subject were also asked to consider any emotion they may associate with those words – e.g. Anger, fear or frustration.

The foul-mouthed participants were then asked to complete a psychological survey designed to test their honesty and rank how likely they were to lie.

When results were analysed, researchers found that those who used more profanities actually told fewer lies.

The study concluded: “We set out to provide an empirical answer to competing views regarding the relationship between profanity and honesty.”

“We found that a higher rate of profanity use was associated with more honesty.”

So, the next time you need to get something off your chest, grab your most foul-mouthed friend and pour your heart out in total confidence.

We'd be lying if we said we hadn't spent an ungodly number of sleepless night pondering some of life's unanswered questions.

Is the universe infinite? What's the meaning of it all? How DO they get the fig into Fig Rolls? – You get the drift.

And while we may never find all the answers to the thoughts that keep us up at night, scientists have just cracked one of the most frustrating – and honestly, we feel better already.

So, why are some people right handed and some people left handed?

Well, according to researchers from Ruhr-Universitat Bochum, a person's preference for moving their left or right hand actually begins in the womb, around the eight week of pregnancy.

According to Indy 100, it was previously thought that differences in gene activity of the right and left hemisphere of the brain might be responsible for a person's dominant hand preference, however it is now believed that the trait is decided during the formation of our spines.

The research, published in February 2017 in the journal eLife and funded by the German Research Foundation, concluded that:

“These results fundamentally change our understanding of the cause of hemispheric asymmetries.”

However, the study failed to mention why the majority of people are right handed and it looks like we're in for another sleepless night.
