We'll be honest, we have – more than once – compared a public charging station to the Holy Grail.

When we realise our phone is mere moments away from keeling over, and we spot something which will instantly revive it, it's hardly surprising we fall on it with glee.

But, according to a recent report, availing of public USB portals leaves us vulnerable to hacking or juice jacking as it's known among tech experts.

"Just by plugging your phone into a compromised power strip or charger, your device is now infected, and that compromises all your data," explained Drew Paik of security firm Authentic8.

By plugging your USB cable into a a public port, your emails, text messages, photos and contacts will be up for grabs if the port has been tampered with by hackers.

Sounds like it's time we all invested in some portable battery pack chargers, right?

We are all guilty of having a good long snoop on Tinder when the forever-alone-feels get too much.

Now, the dating app is making some changes, and is following in the footsteps of Instagram and Facebook by possibly introducing some Snapchat-like video sharing features.

Tinder has announced a deal to take on Wheel, an app startup that allows users share collaborative video stories.

Image result for eyebrow raise

Tinder hopes to add video features to the ever-growing app, so that potential baes can share *ahem* more about themselves.

As the world's most popular dating app, Tinder makes up to 26 million matches every single day (where are all our matches, then?).

While we are all about that video sharing life, we're hoping the kinds of videos sent on the app wont be too NSFW.

I mean, there is already a d*** pic epidemic, so we can't imagine what a video sharing aspect could have the potential for.

Hopefully people will use the video concept for the intended purpose, but knowing thirsty people on the internet, probably not.

There is nothing worse than people who abandon their animals, so when we heard this story about Negao, a lovely lab who was abandoned by his owners, our hearts broke just a little bit.

While it is awful that he was left for dead by his previous owners, his new family are literally saints.

Negao was left at a petrol station in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, and the owners Sabrina Plannerer and her partner took him under their wing after purchasing the site.

While they showered him with love and attention, they were also quick to put him to work at the filling station, so the gorgeous black lab would have something to all day while his new family were working.

"We adopted him immediately and got him all the care animals need," said Sabrina, according to The Metro.

"We bought him food, a dog house, and a leash to take him on walk."

The adorable pupper even has his own uniform at the petrol station, which consists of a peaked cap and name tag.

"Customers love him. Some people even bring him toys," said Sabrina.

You might be wondering what kind of job Negao does at the petrol station, and rather than working behind the deli or assisting at the pump, the labrador provides top notch customer service to those who frequent the store.

The sweet animal greets customers and gives them all the attention they could want while filling up their gas tanks.

We cannot deal with the cuteness.

If you want to be one of the first people to get your hands on a hard copy of Ed Sheeran's newest album (which you can hold to your chest and squeeze with all your might), the good folk over at Tower Records have you sorted.

Catering to Ed's Irish fanbase next month, the iconic store on Dublin's Dawson Street have revealed that they will be flinging their doors open at the stroke of midnight on March 2 in order to celebrate the release of ÷.

Oh, and it doesn't stop there.

In addition to giving fans the chance to pick up a copy of the album the moment it hits shelves, the store will automatically enter everyone who shows up for the midnight opening into a draw to secure two tickets to the singer's gig in the 3Arena.

Can it get any better?!

Just remember if you do decide to head along, you won't be allowed to queue outside the store until after 7pm pn March 2!

When it comes to advocating for women's rights, you're never too early to start as one kick-ass little girl taught Channel 4 viewers this week.

Appearing on The Secret Life of 5-Year-Olds, Eva addressed issues surrounding women's right to vote, their place in the world of science and their ability to teach lads a thing or two when it comes to martial arts.

And Twitter is in complete awe.

"My god that girl, what absolute bad ass! I love her! She gives me so much hope for future generations," wrote one viewer.

"Eva for Prime Minister. She talks more sense," added another new-found fan.

And it wasn't just viewers who were won over by Eva's straight-talking, with her fellow star, Jude, paying tribute to his pal.

"She was very tough and very strong," he said. "Like the Hulk."

Damn right, she was.

Ireland is full of amazing talent, and now one Dublin-born MUA is baking the faces of top models like Kendall Jenner, Lindsey Wixon and many more.

Aidan Keogh, from Cabra in North Dublin, has been working in New York for the past decade, making his mark on the beauty world one famous, fashionable face at a time.

His work has been featured on high end runways, and his looks have made it onto the cover of Vogue.

A post shared by AIDAN (@aidankofficial) on

The MUA started out at M.A.C on Grafton Street before branching out on his own, and now he counts Victoria's Secret models and the Kardashians among his many clients.

"Kendall has always been so good for me to work with," he told The Sun.

“She knows what she likes, is pleasant and professional and is naturally beautiful so it’s a bonus she continues to ask me back.”

The Dubliner puts his success down to his Irish roots, saying: "Nobody handed anything to me and there’s been rejection, like in any industry."

"I guess being from Cabra and a middle child of seven siblings gave me thick skin.”

Kudos to Aidan for getting the A-list recognition his makeup looks deserve.

We wonder if he's given Kendall any ideas to come to Ireland any time soon?

Ah, Friday night, the night of the week where, after four nights of wanting to, you can officially curl up on the couch with a glass (or bottle) or wine and watch some excellent television.

Everyone loves a bit of Graham Norton, so when we heard the line up for his show tonight, we got pretty excited.

The show will feature one of Taylor Swift's most infamous ex-boyfriends, Tom Hiddleston, who will be parking his butt on Graham's couch to chat about his role in upcoming action flick Kong: Skull Island

A post shared by Tom Hiddleston (@twhiddleston) on

Also on the show will be actress Ruth Wilson, who is all set to discuss her role in Hedda Gabler, a production by The National Theatre.

Comedian Ricky Gervais will also be in attendance, providing some comic relief while also chatting about his up-coming comedy tour.

And to complete the line up is Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, who will be joining Graham to discuss his latest stage acting endeavour Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead.

If you would rather tune into The Late Late Show to see how Ryan Tubridy is feeling after all the antics from the Valentine's Special edition of the show, you won't be disappointed in the line up over on RTÉ One either.

Sitting down with Ryan is Hollywood star Eric Bana, along with Irish songstress Una Healy, previously of The Saturdays fame.

Fr Brian D’Arcy will also be in attendance to chat about his time as one of Ireland's most famous priests, and Olivia O’Leary will be on set to talk about the tumultuous week in Irish politics.

Next up will be rower Gavin Hennelley who recently made history by rowing solo across the Atlantic.

Wrapping up the night is 13-year-old Megan Halvey-Ryan, who suffers from scoliosis and was recently featured on RTÉ Investigates documentary Living on the List.

So all in all, if you are a fan of talk show TV, prepare to settle in for the night.

Just when we thought Twitter was nothing but a hotbed of angst right now, we came across Dawsyn Eubanks and her legendary best friend who reminded us that the Twitophere is sometimes the only place we want to be.

In a post which has amassed more than 300,000 likes in just 13 hours, Dawsyn revealed that when it comes to #SquadGoals, she and her best friend, Georgia, have it absolutely nailed.

While on a first date this week, Dawsyn received a text from Georgia asking why she had yet to tuck into her meal.

Stunned by the accuracy of the message, she was advised to look behind her where she realised her mate had donned a disguise, and was keeping watch from a secluded corner of the restaurant to ensure everything went well.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter cant get enough of this, and wasted no time asking if the girls had any vacancies for a third wheel.

"I WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH HER SO MUCH," wrote one while another added; "That's what best friends are for."

Georgia, take a bow.

As it's his 26th birthday today, Ed Sheeran decided to release one more track from him new album, Divided.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the next drop from the album, and with Ed's birthday gift to us, the wait is finally over.

The song, How Would You Feel (Paean), is officially available on Spotify, and the tender tune is pulling at our heart strings.

Between Shape of You, Castle on the Hill and now his latest track, Divided is a major contender for our favourite album ever.

Ed Sheeran has had a pretty busy few months since his return from a 365 day social media sabbatical.

Since then, the two other released singles from his new album have reached number one in the charts, and the singer sold out a world tour in mere minutes.

Now, if only Ed would add some more Irish dates to his tour so we could hear How Would You Feel in real life, that would be great.

First Dates has become an Irish institution, and between the Twitter banter and the actual show, we're officially hooked.

Last night's dine and date episode featured a couple we were seriously rooting for, especially after an initially awkward encounter.

Aidan and Lucy looked like a very cute couple, but when Aidan tried to use humour to break the ice, his clever golf joke went way over Lucy's head.

While chatting about transportation, the topic of driving came up, and Aidan joked that the only thing he can drive is a golf ball (lots of golf fans on First Dates lately, no?).

Unfortunately, Lucy is not about that golfing life, and it took her a few awkward seconds to get the pun.

While it was definitely a cringe moment, we thought it might work out for the two.

Spoiler alert, it didn't.

When the two were asked if they wanted to see one another again, Lucy rejected Aidan on the basis of his niceness, and his comeback was pretty priceless.

"So what you're looking for is an a**hole?"

Yikes! At least he didn't bring up the topic of women making sandwiches….

We were thinking we hadn't heard anything from these two for a while.

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have a bit of a reputation for being on and off.

After an explosive Instagram hack last year, in which old messages of Chyna's were exposed and the couple spit in an extremely dramatic fashion, we never thought they would reunite.

But just in time for Christmas, the pair sorted out their differences and embarked on family life with daughter Dream once again.

Now, the couple have called it quits once again, but without all the drama that hallmarked their split last December.

“They split a while ago. The wedding plans are off,” a source close to Rob told People.

“They are both trying to be mature about it. It was less dramatic this time.”

“Chyna is super fed up with Rob and thinks he is way too emotional and depressed. She thinks he has terrible issues,” says the insider.

“He is always battling his own insecurities and is unstable. It’s a major turn-off to her, and she thinks it’s incredibly unhealthy for the baby and their family.”

Their relationship has been rife with drama since the start, so maybe it's better for both of them to remain separated.

Whatever happens in the future, we hope the pair can sort out their differences, for Dream's sake.
