We love a bit of Say Yes To The Dress and Don't Tell the Bride, so when we heard that the Ray D'Arcy Show was hosting a Battle of the Brides special, we got excited.

The Ray D’Arcy Show is hoping to give three brides-to-be the chance to win their dream wedding band in a live, televised bridal showdown.

So if you’re seeking the best musical entertainment for your wedding guests, listen up.

Ray is looking for a future bride or three to come to the studio next Saturday April 15 to compete for this very special prize.

The wedding band can be one of the biggest expenses for a wedding, so if you think you have what it takes to win the Ray D’Arcy Show’s Battle of the Brides then here's how.

You can send your reasons to brides@rte.ie to tell the show why you need to have the chance to win this pretty amazing prize, among other wedding-related goodies.

May the odds be ever in your favour.

We all throw around the term 'anxious', but for those living with a chronic anxiety disorder, the feelings run much deeper than cringing after an interview.

General Anxiety Disorder impacts about 1 in 20 adults in Ireland, according to the HSE.

"Feeling anxious is sometimes perfectly normal," says the HSE.

"However, people with generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) find it hard to control their worries."

"Their feelings of anxiety are more constant and often affect their daily life."

The disorder can manifest itself in a number of ways, but Twitter users under the hashtag #ThisIsWhatAnxietyFeelsLike are summing it up pretty well.

This description of anxiety impacting on the day-to-day lives of people is reflected in the tweets, with some tweeters referring to the feeling as the "buzzing" in their brain that never ceases.

Some people grow so accustomed to their disorder that they never seek the help they need, as their state of constant panic seems almost normal to them.

The HSE advises that you may be suffering from an anxiety disorder if your worrying significantly affects your daily life, including your job and social life.

You also may be suffering if your worries are extremely stressful and upsetting you, and you worry about all sorts of things and have a tendency to think the worst in all situations.

Uncontrollable worrying or feeling worried nearly every day for at least six months are also signs of a problem.

The hashtag is giving us such a valuable insight into the issue, and if you feel you relate to them on a personal level, you may have a problem too.

While it is normal to suffer from a bit of anxiety ahead of an exam or interview, it's definitely worth talking to your GP about if you feel that anxiety is impacting your day-to-day life.

Heath Ledger was widely recognised as one of the best actors of his generation, but a new documentary about the life of the late actor reveals that he had dreams of being behind the camera.

The first trailer of I Am Heath Ledger has landed and provides a rare insight into the life of the notoriously private actor, and of course Twitter has been hit right in the feels.

Much of the raw footage in documentary is shot by Heath himself and according to friends and family, the camera was never far from Heath’s hand.

In the trailer, actress Christina Cauchi says, “There were always cameras around, a video camera, or a Polaroid camera, or a film camera… That’s the only way I think of him, with the camera in the hand.”

Heath’s childhood friend, Trevor Dicarlo added “He was always a director. Acting was just a way to get there,”

The trailer is bursting with moving tributes from Heath's friends, family and colleagues with Brokeback Mountain director Ang Lee saying ‘’he will steal the whole show, that’s the power of Heath Ledger’’

The full documentary, directed by Derik Murray, will premiere at Tribeca Film Festival in New York on April 23.

It’s rare a day passes when we’re not exposed to some form of narrative highlighting the dangers associated with excessive sugar consumption.

Whether it comes in the form of a medical study or via a clean eating blog post, society is becoming more and more aware of the dangers, and attempting to tailor their nutritional plans in accordance with guidelines.

And yet, curtailing sugar intake is often easier said than done, with various products positively heaving under the weight of hidden sugars.

With that in mind, it’s refreshing to know that Nestlé have spent two years researching and developing recipes which tap into the consumer’s concerns.

This week, Nestlé’s Rowntree’s unveiled brand new 30% less sugar versions of two of its best-selling products; Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles and Rowntree’s Randoms.

Offered alongside the existing, classic products, the new recipes contain less sugar and more fibre content in addition to remaining free of artificial flavours, colours and sweeteners.

Acknowledging the current narrative, CEO Fiona Kendrick said: “We are delighted that our innovation gives consumers the option of a significantly reduced sugar version of both Fruit Pastilles and Randoms.

"And, as consumers make the switch to the less sugar version, it can help deliver a reduction in the amount of sugar consumed overall.”

“Confectionery can play as much of a part in the efforts to reduce sugar and tackle obesity in the UK and Ireland as any other category and, as we’re demonstrating, we’ll take every opportunity to innovate and reformulate to improve our products.”

As we can’t imagine life without a sweet fix, this news is the stuff dreams are made of.

Oh Instagram, the ultimate photo sharing app where putting your best photo forward is the aim of the game.

Bloggers and celebs have some of the most uniform, beautifully presented feeds going, much to the delight of their fans.

Everyone wants an aesthetically amazing Instagram feed, and there is one app in particular that gets a lot of credit for helping the influencers of the world achieve their perfect photo sets.

VSCOCAM is the reigning champion when it comes to gorgeous Instagram feeds, and bloggers the length and breath of the globe have been utilising its extensive range of filters since it landed in the app store.

The app allows you to look at the photos you want to upload, giving you an idea of where you want them to be placed on your feed, and plays host to a hell of a lot more filters than the actual Instagram editing suite.

Like Instagram, the level of saturation of each filter can be adjusted according to your personal preferences, and they're all pretty different to the ones available on the social media sharing app.

F2 and G3 are particular favourites of fashion bloggers for making outfits and flat lays pop.

The app also has all the basic editing options, like contrast, saturation, brightness, shadows and many more.

Irish blogging veteran Anouska Proetta Brandon definitely knows how to take a great photo, and had previously credited VSCO cam to helping her achieve the perfect feed.

"Consistency is key with your Instagram," said Anouska, speaking at the Irish Blogger Conference in January.

"Don't post random photos. Be consistent and think about aesthetics," she said, citing a well-planned photo layout as the best way to increase your follower count.

While we love the freedom of adding photos whenever we please using Instagram's built in editing suite, VSCO has some pretty lit filters.

We may have to start using it if we want a blogger-worthy Insta feed.

There is nothing better than settling down for a night of Netflix, but unfortunately we've already finished 13 Reasons Why, binged watched Planet Earth and re-watched Stranger  Things.

We're definitely ready for some new viewing material, and luckily Netflix is providing just that.

Here's five must-watch series coming up in the next month.

5. Girlboss

Loosely based on the life Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso’s rise to retail success, season one of Girlboss is arriving on our Netflix screens on April 21.

The show documents how the entrepreneur started off selling thrift store finds on eBay, before moving on to selling her own creations, eventually culminating in the online store Nasty Gal.

4. Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On

The new series is a follow up from the riveting documentary of the same name.

This series exposes how women are portrayed in pornography these days, and how the industry has changed and developed through the eyes of the men and women involved.

Warning, the trailer is NSFW.

3. Casting JonBenet

Casting Jon Benet is due out on April 28, just as the 20th anniversary of the murder of child pageant queen JonBenét Ramsey.

Netflix have decided to offer up a documentary of their own about the subject amongst an influx of others, but their take on the mystery is quite different than all the others.

The documentary epic explores the murder through the theories of actors, all from the Boulder, Colorado area, auditioning to take part in the flick, using their opinions to tell the sorry tale.

2. Dear White People

The first season of this show is due out on April 28, and the divisive series is definitely one to watch.

The series is set to explore race and cultural appropriation, judging from the ad.

The trailer has almost ten times more dislikes than likes, so we'd say the debates over this one will be complex and poignant.

1. The Get Down: Part 2

The first season of The Get Down was extremely well received, and fans took to social media to praise the musical drama series.

Now, part two is coming on April 7, and we cannot wait!

It looks like people are pretty angry with Pepsi and Kendall Jenner today.

The company released a new campaign yesterday, called Live For Now Moments Anthem, which starred the 20-year-old going from a photoshoot to a protest.

The two and a half minute video sees the reality star in a blonde wig while being photographed, only for her to notice a protest taking place on the street nearby.

Kendall removes her wig, takes off her dark lippy and joins the crowd of protestors. She then hands a can of Pepsi to a police officer, while the protestors cheer and applaud.

However, it's not going down well on Twitter:

We all need a bit more mindfulness in our lives, and taking up the relaxing manoeuvres of yoga is one way to introduce some TLC for your body and mind.

Yoga increases your flexibility, improves your muscle tone and strength, improves your breathing and helps to focus your mind.

With all of these benefits, we were delighted to discover that a yoga festival is coming to Dublin this summer.

A post shared by Sophia Myliotis (@sophmylo) on

Hot Yoga Dublin and Yoga Next Door are coming together to create Yoga In The Park 2017, an event which brings together yoga newbies and seasoned enthusiasts for a prolonged session of yogi goodness.

The event will be set on the stunning west lawn of Malahide Castle, and yoga veteran Lisa Phillips will be leading the 75 minute class.

The event is completely family friendly, with a kids yoga tent organised for the little ones.

Proceeds from the yoga festival will be going straight to charity, with Yoga In The Park contributing their takings to multiple charities.

This year, the funds from the €20.00 tickets will go to the LauraLynn Foundation, Adi Roches Chernobyl Interanational Foundation, and the Bringing Chair Yoga to Nursing Homes concept.

The event will take place on Sunday June 11, at 11am, so hopefully they get the weather for the outdoor festival.

We were given a lot of false hope over the past few weeks with the weather.

One day it was sunny, the next; wind and hail stones.

So, it's safe to say we've all been hoping for a bit of a scorcher to come our way soon.

Well, today could be our lucky day as Met Éireann believe it's going to be "brighter and sunnier."
