When it comes to our hair, the vast majority of us focus our attention on our dry ends while our scalps are left to their own devices, so to speak.

But according to those in the know, our scalps require the same amount of attention we generally devote to the rest of our body.

And that, ladies, includes regular exfoliation.

But if you can't fathom adding another product to your already full-to-bursting collection, it might be time to make use of one particular kitchen staple during your haircare routine.

Dermatologist, Dr. Francesca Fusco, assures that caring for our scalp need not break the bank if we simply add some sugar to our standard shampoo.

"Adding a tablespoon of sugar to a dollop of shampoo will gently exfoliate the scalp and easily dissolve and rinse out without leaving any residue on hair," she explains.

Apparently, the sugar helps to remove dead cells from the top of your head which allows for a deeper clean and more thorough condition without any extra effort.

No harm giving this one a whirl, right?

The cosmetics company's latest fantasy endeavour will revolve around the books and films that shot Jennifer Lawrence to fame as Katniss.

While no details have been officially released yet, we cant help but fantasise about the potential for this collection.

A Districts eye shadow palette perhaps, with 13 shades representing each district? Or a set of makeup brushes shaped like arrows.

Last Sunday marked the 9th anniversary of Heath Ledger's untimely passing in January 2008, and with almost a decade to reflect on her partner's death, Michelle Williams reveals that her outlook on life has altered considerably.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, the acclaimed actress, who starred opposite Heath in Brokeback Mountain, explained that in the aftermath of Heath's passing, she understandably struggled with the implications of moving on with her young daughter, Matilda.

"At that time, I was inconsolable, because I felt, 'How will he be able to find us?’" she told the publication. "This is where we lived, and he won't know where we are. And now I can't believe I thought that."

Turning her attention to the future, the star, who rose to fame on Dawson's Creek, reveals that the heartbreaking experience has left her with a practical view of relationships and motherhood.

"It's hard to romanticise romance when you're 36. When you've been a parent for 11 years and you've done it alone, you don't have romantic ideals, because you have a practical understanding that you can do it by yourself."

Having lost Heath at the age of 28, the mother of one explains that his passing eradicated certain ideals she had internalised from a young age.

"The romantic idea of meeting your person and having a storybook family life that looks like the model you grew up with – that doesn't really exist for me."

Heath and Michelle began dating in 2004 and their daughter was born the following year.

As millions of women took to city streets to march for equality last weekend, several women, who were unable to attend official marches, held their own in the hospital where they are currently receiving treatment for cancer.

Taking to Twitter to share photographs of the march in the LA hospital, Allie Oetken wrote: "Couldn't make it the LA march today so we had to do our own protest around the hospital (only got 1 floor– we tried tho)."

Allie, who is currently living with a rare bone cancer known as Ewing's Sarcoma, told Seventeen that being unable to participate in an official march had left her feeling disheartened.

"I've been a cancer patient for two years now and have had clear scans until just about last weekend when they found a tumour on my skull. So I've been in the hospital mostly for pain management while we figure out what the plan is moving forward," she told the publication.

"Well that morning I knew there was going to be multiple women's marches around the country and world and was pretty bummed I wasn't going to be apart of it, especially since my friends were going to the LA one," she explained.

"Well in the middle of my wallowing, I heard another lady squeaking down the hallway chanting something so I went out and joined her and we had put together signs that say "Freedom for All" and things like that and marched with our IV poles as well as some of the nurses."

Allie says she was relieved to have been able to express her desire for equality with millions of other women over the weekend.

"It was small but very meaningful that I got to feel part of it and protest the new President and the gross rhetoric and behaviour that comes with his power and followers when I otherwise would have had to stay sick in bed and essentially be silent."

Twitter, unsurprisingly, has reacted to Allie's post with unbridled optimism for the future.

"This is beautiful. Keep fighting," wrote one while another remarked: "This is so beautiful and powerful."

"This may be my favourite post about #WomensMarch," added another to the post which has amassed 56,000 likes since its upload on Saturday.

Same sex marriage has only been legal in Ireland for about 14 months, so celebrating inclusive campaigns like Lush's new Valentine's Day photo set is a must.

Lush is known for being progressive in its business ethics and for its support of the LGBTQ community, after the brand came out with a "Gay is Ok" bath product last year.

The new campaign is super cute and showcases two queer couples just doing their thing while being in love.

The male couple are shown enjoying a cuddle and a soak in a pink tinted bath, a simple way to add a splash of diversity to the usually heteronormative Valentine's Day conversation.

A lesbian couple are shown having a bubble bath, complete with bubble beard.

Campaigns like this help to normalise the concept of LGBTQ relationships and seeing homosexual couples on a commercial platform shows the progress society has made when it comes to being accepting of all sexualities, making them super important for the community.

Lush have tagged all of their Valentine's social media postings with the hashtag #LoveIsLove.

Keep doing you Lush.

Jennifer Lawrence branded the theft of her nude photos a sex crime, and now the perpetrator is facing justice.

Hacker Edward Majerczyk received a nine-month prison term in a plea bargain after illegally accessing celebrity accounts and stealing the nude images of 30 celebs including Jennifer Lawrence.

He was also ordered to pay €5,300 to reimburse one unnamed celebrity for counselling and therapy she sought following the crime.

According to his plea deal, Majerczyk sent fake emails which looked like they came from the victim's internet service providers seeking usernames and passwords.

He was then able to use these passwords and usernames to access private accounts and information.

Jennifer spoke out at length after the multiple naked and explicit photos of her, along with fellow celebs Kaley Cuoco and Kate Upton, were uploaded to the internet.

“Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this,” Jennifer previously told Vanity Fair.

“It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world.”

"It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting."

Fast fashion from high street stores is the perfect way to get your new season fashion fix on a budget, but an investigation has revealed that factories supplying some of the most popular high street shops in the UK may be taking advantage of their workers.

An undercover investigation by Channel 4's Dispatches claims workers at these factories are paid less than the national minimum wage.

The documentary was broadcast this week, and it alleged that some workers are paid £3–£3.50 (€3.50-€4.08) an hour at three UK factories, some of which were sub-contracted to supply River Island, Missguided and New Look.

Newstalk heard from a River Island spokesperson who told them that the factory featured in the show was, "removed from our Approved Factory List in February 2016, following two failed River Island audits. Suppliers were informed not to use this factory for any further River Island orders."

"We are investigating this issue and will take appropriate action. Sub-contracting without River Island’s approval is a serious breach of our Terms and Conditions," the statement continued.

River Island are currently undertaking appropriate measures to investigate the matter further.

"New Look is committed to respecting and improving the lives of workers right across our global business and supply chains, so we are extremely concerned by the outcome of this investigation," said a statement from the popular store.

Missguided said they have instantly ended production in the factory that was named in the documentary.

One of the factories at fault told the undercover Dispatchers reporter that competition from overseas was the cause of the underpaying.

"We don’t get paid much for our clothes, and we need to compete with China and Bangladesh. They can get it cheap there. How will they get it made cheaper here? If we pay everyone £10 or £6 then we will make a loss."

Here's to hoping that factories like this get shut down for good.

Paris Jackson has never been shy to stick up for her dad Michael Jackson, but in her latest interview, the teen revealed some shocking opinions about his death.

The model-turned actress revealed that she believes that her father was murdered.

"It's obvious," she told Rolling Stone when asked about the pop icon's suspicious death in 2009.

"All arrows point to that. It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bulls**t, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a setup. It was bulls**t."

The star feels that "a lot of people" could have potentially been involved in the possible murder who had issues with the singer.

"Of course" she continued when asked did she want justice. "I definitely do, but it's a chess game.

"And I am trying to play the chess game the right way. And that's all I can say about that right now."

The teen also spoke about her father's perpetual paranoia that there were people "out to get him."

She also opened up about her past mental health issues and suicide attempts, as well as how she has moved on to a life of sobriety.

Paris also revealed that she was sexually assaulted by a stranger at age 14, but said that she didn't want to "give too many details," about the assault.

Stranger Things hit us in 2016 and it's safe to say we absolutely LOVED it.

Even though on the surface it was a sci-fi show about kids in the 80s, underneath, it was so, so much more than that.

Between losing Barb (yep, she's still very much dead), to witnessing Eleven's magic and even the teenage high school love triangle, we were hooked.

David Harbour, who plays Chief Jim Hopper, told Fan2Sea Comic Con that the next season will take place exactly a year later, and the town still don't really have a clue about what happened to the Byers family.

"There's a lot of fallout with who knows what," David said.

And as for a new love triangle? Well, Joyce is now with a new man, which doesn't go down too well with the Chief!

"Sean Astin is Winona's (Joyce's) new boyfriend – much to the chagrin to the chief of police!" David laughed.

Stranger Things 2 will also welcome three new characters named Max, Billy and Roman.

Oh, and yes, Eleven is returning.
