With Radiohead and Coldplay having already sent Irish music fans into a tailspin this year, we didn't know how much more hysteria we could take when it came to upcoming gigs in our capital city.

And then Bruno Mars and Emeli Sandé announced they would be both taking to the stage in Dublin next year… and all bets were off.

While we'd love to say they were collaborating, unfortunately that's not the case, but hey maybe next time.
 

Emeli will be playing the Olympia Theatre on March 18 next year while Bruno will be hitting up Dublin's 3Arena on April 29.

If Emeli is your bag, you need to bring your A-game this Friday morning when tickets go on sale, but if Bruno swings it for you, then prime yourself for next Monday morning when you and countless others will be vying for a place in Bruno's audience.

Is it normal to feel stressed and excited in equal measure?!

The US Vice President is certainly having a bit of a moment on the internet – with the emergence of numerous light-hearted memes centring on the warm relationship he and President Barack Obama share.

However, the one image that has REALLY caught everyone's attention is a photograph of the dashing young Biden aged 26.

Holding what appears to be a bottle of wine in a brown paper bag, the politician – now 73 – can be seen looking into the camera like the dream-boat he was and is. 

And this morning, rumour was abound on social media that Joe's wife of almost 40 years, Jill, 65, had tweeted her own admiration for her spouse's handsome features. 

Sent from a profile that boasts 45,000 followers and named @JillBidenVeep, on closer inspection it seems it is merely a parody account.

Still, we reckon the real Jill – whose official account has a more robust 178,000 fans – would be fully on board with the same sentiment and that she's proud as punch of Joe's new-found online fame.

The snap of 26-year-old Mr Biden was originally shared on Joe's Instagram page more than two years ago to highlight the importance of the Affordable Care Act which allows young adults to stay on their parents’ health insurance until the age of 26.

Holly Hagan fans were plunged into a state of hysteria last night when the reality star appeared to make a pregnancy announcement on Twitter.

A tweet from the former Geordie Shore star’s account – which bluntly stated “I’m pregnant” – prompted fans to flood Holly’s page with congratulatory messages.

However, it was later revealed that the tweet was a prank by the 24-year-old’s on-off boyfriend, Kyle Christie.

“You’re a twat @KyleCGShore,” wrote Holly.  “Am not pregnant guys.  That was Kyle.”

The posts were quickly followed by a series of tweets in which the Nuts model criticised the latest additions to the Geordie Shore house.

As well as sharing a photo of she and Charlotte Crosby wearing awkward facial expressions, Holly wrote: “The face you make when you see your replacements @charlottegshore #longlivethequeens.”

The television personality also retweeted a fan’s collage which compares the seasoned Geordie Shore cast members with the Series 14 crew with the captioned: “When you order online vs when it arrives.”

The controversial reality show has been subject to great change in recent months with Holly, Charlotte Crosby and Chantelle Connelly all opting to leaving the programme.

Last weekend, Chloe Ferry was kicked out of the house for attacking fellow housemate Zahida Allen.

When it comes to interviews, the ladies of Little Mix rarely play by the rules.

If they're not pranking their interviewer, they're ripping the question sheet out of their host's hands as they did during a recent interview Down Under.

While chatting to radio hosts, Wippa and Fitzy, during their Aussie promo trip, Jade and Perrie were faced with a question about their band mate Jesy Nelson which they weren't happy answering.

With reports swirling that Jesy and her fiancé Jake Roche had called time on their relationship, it's no surprise that the hosts decided to venture down that line of questioning, but they didn't get too far before Jade and Perrie put a halt to it.

After being asked why Jesy had been spotted without her engagement ring in recent weeks, Jade responded: "That's rude, that."

Chiming in, Perrie added: "That is brutal. You just came out with that! Jeez! Next question, sir!"

And just in case they hadn't made their feelings clear, Jade ensured they wouldn't be able to pose any more awkward questions….

Most of us would have to work up the courage to approach our idol and request a photo, so if we did manage it we'd be feeling pretty damn mortified if we later saw that they had cropped us out of the image.

Considering this, it's no surprise that Twitter his currently in love with 18-year-old Erin Safran who fell victim to Conor McGregor's photoshopping skills recently.

After bumping into the Dublin sport star on a New York city street, Erin and her brother asked for a quick pic and were thrilled when Conor was only too happy to oblige.

Erin then did what an upstanding millennial would do and splashed that snap all over social media before tagging her new BFF on Instagram… who then cropped her out of the photo.

And yep, that sound you hear is the internet cracking up.

Instead of resigning the moment to the annals of personal mortification, Erin took to Twitter to own the humiliation.

And Twitter absolutely love her for it.

Sharing a splitscreen of the original snap alongside the new version, Erin wrote: "If you're having a bad day, just remember @TheNotoriousMMA cropped me out of our photo."

"OMG! Connor McGregor is just heartless!' responded one Twitter user. "If he could do that to you then he would do that to any one of us!"

She's right, you know.

A federal judge in Wisconsin has ordered the release of Brendan Dassey, who was handed a life sentence in 2007 for his involvement in the murder of Teresa Halback.

After almost a decade of imprisonment for the killing documented in Netflix’s Making a Murderer, Steven Avery’s nephew could be released within 90 days.

According to TMZ, Dassey’s impending release will be subject to a number of conditions.

He must remain in the eastern part of Wisconsin, cannot obtain a passport and cannot possess weapons or controlled substances.

The 27-year-old is also forbidden from contacting Steven Avery and the family of Teresa Halback.

In August, Dassey’s conviction was overturned after a judge found his constitutional rights had been violated when he was interrogated without an adult at the age of 16.

Chloe Ferry has reportedly been fired from Geordie Shore for physically attacking fellow housemate Zahida Allen.

According to The Sun, the 21-year-old was “axed” from the infamous reality show on Sunday night for lashing out at her new co-star after seeing Zahida holding hands with her former lover Marty McKenna.

A source told the site:  “Chloe was completely mortal. She kicked off in the club after seeing Marty holding hands with Zahida.  She was totally radge.”

“All of a sudden Zahida was cowering on the floor and it looked like Chloe kicked her in the head.”

“Chloe had been drinking all night and just lost it.  She was kicked out and sent home in a cab.”

The source alleged that at present it is unclear as to whether or not Chloe will be allowed return to the show.

Zahida – a former Miss England contestant – joined the series 14 cast along with Ex On The Beach’s Sarah Goodhart and Abbie Holborn.

The trio have been brought in to replace Charlotte Crosby, Holly Hagan and Chantelle Connelly.

While the viewing public could listen to Scarlett Moffatt for days on end, it seems they'd happily press 'mute' on Vicky Pattison.

It looks like the former Geordie Shore star hasn't gained any new fans after trying her hand at the ol' presenting on the latest series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

 

Vicky, who won last year's series of the long-running show, was joined by Stacey Solomon, Chris Ramsey and Joe Swash on Extra Camp, and as far as viewers are concerned, she should leave the presenting to Ant and Dec.

The Judge Geordie star has come in for serious criticism on Twitter today, but if we know Vicky like we think we do, she won't bat an eyelid.

Drinks in Town? Been there done that. Now it’s time for a little bit of sophistication. A little bit of glamour. A little bit of luxury without the price tag.

Whether you’re more of a Whiskey Sour gal, a bit of a Troublemaker or like your bubbles with a dash of mango (yes, we tried them all) you can have yourself a very good night giving them a go.

And even if you’re a little lost looking at the menu the staff will give you a hand no problem.

The bar is mellow and relaxed, and boasts some fancy schmany white chairs. The candlelight adds a romantic flair while the glamorous setting makes it the ideal place to start your festive shenanigans.

A silver pool table (excuse you) and a random bed sits in the middle of the room… There are even plants on the table.

The outdoor courtyard is also a pretty slick place to wind down after a hectic week and it’s adequately heated which is definitely a plus.

Oh, and even if you’re not a fan of the aul cocktail and are more a beer connoisseur, they sell that too.

And the best thing? You can save yourself a fortune on entry fees because it’s free in!

According to emerging reports, a man has died after being struck by a train near the Coolmine station in Dublin today.

It has been established that emergency services arrived on the scene at approximately 3pm this afternoon.

Iarnród Éireann has taken to Twitter in the aftermath of the tragedy, and has been updating the public on subsequent delays.

It has been confirmed that Dublin Bus will be accepting rail tickets today.

Iarnród Eireann are, at this time, uncertain as to when services will resume.

While we know they have a string of stylists and make-up artists at their service, most of us still assume that the vast majority of supermodels are a dab hand when it comes to all things beauty-related.

Speaking to W magazine, the 21-year-old, who has walked for the likes of Victoria's Secret and Tommy Hilfiger, admits that when it comes to cosmetics, she could take them or leave them.

"I wish I had the energy to do full makeup," she said.

"Honestly, like there are people that I'm even friends with that are full beauty, outfits, everything, looks every single day. And I wish I had that energy. I just don't."

Acknowledging that her association with Maybelline means she might need to shake up her attitude, she added: "Since I became the face of Maybelline, I'm trying to be more adventurous I'd say. Especially on the red carpet and stuff, I'm trying to spice it up."

Red carpets aside, Gigi generally keeps it pretty simple when it comes to her face, saying: "I always have nude lipstick with me just cos I feel like even if you have no makeup on, a nude lip is always cool."

So, she barely wears make-up and still looks like that? How is that fair?

Earlier this year, the good folk at Disney shared a tiny sneak peek of their upcoming live-action flick Beauty and the Beast.

And while it satisfied us for a time, the closer we get to the film's release date in March next year, the more we need to see of Belle and her unlikely suitor.

Thankfully, Disney have done us a solid by releasing the first full trailer for Emma Watson's next big project, and it's even better than the teaser they shared in May.

Hitting YouTube today, the video has racked up a tens of thousands of views already, and by the sounds of things the viewing public are more than ready to see it in its entirety.

"Damn… this looks really really good. Emma was the perfect casting choice," wrote one while another added: "WELLING UP! AWESOME!"

Ladies, if this doesn't give you goosebumps, we don't know what will.
