‘I just need to calm down’ Scotty T confirms break from Geordie Shore

Since first hitting screens in 2011, the cast of Geordie Shore have provided viewers with endless rows, unstable romances and some seriously mortal sessions.

But with Vicky Pattison, Charlotte Crosby and most recently Holly Hagan opting to leave the show which propelled them to fame, it looks like those left in the house are also beginning to question their futures with MTV.

Last month, Scotty T revealed plans to stick with the controversial reality series until he turns 30 in two years’ time, but now the Newcastle native has admitted that he is taking a break from the show.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the popular Geordie explained: “The thing is, I might be taking a break.”

“Whenever I go on Geordie Shore, I go too wild – I just need to calm down.  And obviously the filming dates clash with [my] pantomime [in Leeds], so that could be a big thing.”

Despite acknowledging the role partying played in his decision, Scotty was quick to deny reports which suggest he has been warned by show producers to curb his behaviour.

“There's a lot of things in the media that aren't true these days,” he said.  “But it's people talking about me.  At the end of the day, if it was true, would I still be here?  Would I still be doing the show? Exactly.”

While his role in the next series of Geordie Shore may be limited, Scotty told the site that he’s not willing to ditch the show completely just yet, but confessed that when he does return to the house, he will be “a lot calmer” than he has been in the recent past.

Sounds like a good idea to us.
