The Euros.

A phrase that, for anyone who doesn’t give a toss, will generate some major eye-rolling.

Four weeks of being ignored by your fella, not having a clue about the top trends on Twitter and being banished from the pub for fear of going deaf – Yep, that’s where we’ve found ourselves ladies.

But one good thing – one small piece of joy –  that we can get from these next few weeks is that at some point Bend It Like Beckham is going to be on the telly.

The 2002 classic tale of best friends Jess and Jules, and their love of the game will see us through, and with that in mind we’re going to take a trip down memory lane to remind us why Bend It Like Beckham is our favourite thing about the Euros.

1. Jess and Jules

Despite what Jules’ mum might have thought, the pair were just the best of friends.

Those two even survived having a crush on the same guy, and if that’s not best friends, we don’t know what is.

2. Keira Knightley's hair

It’s a true testament to Keira Knightley that even with that terrible haircut, she still managed to be a total babe.

We mean that in the best possible way.

3. Killer one-liners

If there is one thing this movie is full of it’s some HILARIOUS one-liners.

4. Jonathan Rhy Meyers

Need we say anymore?

Before he went on to play King Henry, this Irishman played fresh-faced coach, Joe, the object of everyone’s affection…including ours.

5. Jess’ transformation

From muddy football gear to totally glam, this transformation had everyone flustered, especially Coach Joe.

And it looks like Jess might have set a trend way back in 2002 as we would definitely wear this on a night out now.

6. This club scene

All of it is simply amazing.

From the clothes, to that Mel C track, to the terrible dancing, it’s just a complete gem!

7. When Shaznay from All Saints was there

We’re not going to lie, we only spotted this years later but now, it makes us love the movie all the more.

Now that All Saints have reformed, it’s not that crazy to think there might be a movie sequel, is it?

8. When we learned things about the actual game

The offside rule is one of the most confusing parts of the game and a huge reason why we refuse to watch.

But thanks to Momma Paula, we’ve got it down.

9. Jess’ sister

Talk about bridezilla! Jess’ sister Pinky took the term to a whole other level.

But it did provide a lot of laughs so we’ll forgive her.

10. This speech from Jess’ dad

Jess wanted to follow her dreams of playing soccer at university in America, but her family’s disapproval was holding her back.

Until her dad gave this speech that turned us into an emotional wreck, that is.

Weeks before Kanye West released his latest album, we were inundated with tweets from the rapper, who was constantly changing the name of his album.

It went from Wolves, to SWISH to Waves in only a matter of days.

So, that's why we were super surprised to hear that, FOUR months later, Kanye has gone and changed the name of his album, The Life of Pablo, yet again.

Ladies, say hello to the new name, Saint Pablo.

Yep, eagle-eyed fans of Kanye noticed that the name of the album has changed on his streaming service, Tidal. But, maybe we really shouldn't be that surprised. He did warn us after all.

"In the months to come, Kanye will release new updates, new versions, and new iterations of the album," Def Jam said in a statement earlier this year.

He also announced that he's going on tour in a very… erm, up-straight tweet:

Ah, Kanye. Never change.

We're not even joking a little bit when we tell you that an avocado shortage is fuelling a crime wave over in New Zealand.

Since the beginning of the year, New Zealand has seen nearly 40 large-scale robberies from avocado orchards, and police are saying that up to 350 individual fruits have been taken at a time.

This comes after farmers had a poor season last year which saw a lower amount of the crop grown. However, in 2015 an additional 96,000 households started to buy avocados in New Zealand and suppliers haven't been able to keep up.

According to The Guardian, the thefts took place in the middle of the night, with robbers using blankets to collect a few after "raking" them off the trees.

"These stolen avocados can carry risks," said Sergeant Aaron Fraser.

"They are unripe, some have been sprayed recently and they may still carry toxins on the skin. But with the prices so high at the moment, the potential for profit is a strong inducement for certain individuals."

However, the New Zealand Avocado CEO, Jen Scoular, said that farmers are becoming more savvy about protecting their crops now.

TV personality, Kelly Osbourne, has taken to Instagram to debut some very special ink.

The 31-year-old's latest post shows her new “Solidarity” tattoo, which is uniquely placed on the side of her partially shaved head.

In the accompanying caption – which includes a definition of the word "solidarity" – Kelly explains how she had been thinking of getting the tattoo for a long time, but was inspired to do so by the Orlando tragedy.

She wrote: “I have wanted to get this tattoo for a long time. The tragedy in Orlando devastated me and reminded me that every moment of our lives is precious. Every human is precious.”

“Love hard. Live gracefully, authentically and with conviction, respect, purpose and compassion. Together we achieve what is impossible to those who stand alone.”

“Those of us who embrace and respect freedom stand together, progress together, celebrate together and grieve together. You are not alone.”

When we look at children these days, it's funny to think that they'll probably never hear a dial up connection for the Internet.

And they'll probably never understand the joy that 'Paint' on a Windows 95 computer could bring you, either.

Yet, our generation is very different from the last, and people on the social media app, Yik Yak, have been coming up with terms that define our generation or that give us that 'millennial' status.

Which one best suits you? They're all very true:

James Corden might be best known for his karaoke skills, but last night the comedian proved he also knows his way around a race track as he competed with former Friends star, Matt LeBlanc, in the “Bottom Gear” challenge.

With lilac children’s scooters as their vehicles of choice, the two TV personalities went toe-to-toe as they raced over bumps, through walls and around the Late Late Show studio with comical results.

In the end LeBlanc’s Top Gear experience gave him the edge as he bet the show’s host back to the finish line.

Ladies, check this one out!

Things are heating up between Justin Bieber and Transformers actress Nicola Peltz, but not for much longer – if Gigi Hadid has anything to do with it.

According to Hollywood Life, the Topshop model – who recently supported boyfriend Zayn Malik through his public struggles with anxiety – has allegedly told Nicola to be careful with her heart around Biebs.

A source for the site said: “Nicola is being warned by her bestie Gigi to be very careful with Justin.”

Gigi is good friends with both Nicola and Justin’s former flame Hailey Baldwin and, according to the source, “these ladies have seen first-hand how quickly Justin goes through relationships and all of them have words of caution for Nicola.”

“Gigi is warning Nicola, ‘Justin is a non-committal heart-breaker. He will get what he wants from you and move on to his next conquest.'”

The Sorry singer was spotted on a date with Nicola last month at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverley Hills – the same restaurant he often visited with his ex Selena Gomez who's said she's sick of him dating their shared friends.

It’s also been reported that he recently flew the stunning blonde out to Canada for one of his concerts.

According to E! Justin is finally ready to be in a relationship but given the string of women he’s been linked to lately, will it be with Nicola?

Only time will tell.

Not too long ago, the internet went crazy for mermaid blankets which let you get your chill on while channelling your inner Ariel, but it looks like things have officially gone up a notch.

Progressing from pro-level flake to pro-level fitness, innumerable women are participating in swimming sessions which lets them realise their secret childhood dream.

That’s right gals; it’s now acceptable to don a mermaid tail and slither into a pool all in the name of health and well-being.

While we all know that standard swimming in an incredible form of cardio exercise, this version actually ticks various other boxes.

By moving your body in unison under the water, you automatically engage muscles which can often go ignored during standard work-out sessions in the local gym.

It seems legs, bums and tums are really put through the ringer as you plot your revenge against that oul wench Ursula.

Ladies? We're sold.

There are some things that are uniquely Irish; Tayto crisps, a cuppa tea, our gas mammies, and of course, our signs.

Signs are a weird one, we know, but we're a dab hand at making a poster, and this was totally proved at this year's Euros.

But, even when it comes to serious things, we just can't help but take the mick out of it.

A new poster has gone up outside Body & Soul Festival, where preparations for this weekend are well underway.

The man or woman who is supplying the fences to the festival decided that enough was enough, and they weren't going to have anymore broken fences heading back their way when the weekend's over.

So, instead of putting up something generic such as, "DON'T BREAK FENCE," they put up:

Yep. "STOP BREAKING MY FENCES WILL YIZ."

Ah, we love this country.

Second-in-line to the British throne, Prince William, has made history this week after becoming the first member of the royal family to be photographed for the cover of a gay magazine.

The 33-year-old royal, who posed for the cover of Attitude magazine, was approached by the magazine's editor after he saw the work William and Kate had put into raising awareness of bullying and mental health.

Commenting on his decision to include the royal in the Jude edition of the magazine, Matthew Todd said: "I wrote to the Duke of Cambridge after writing about the realisation LGBT people can suffer higher levels of mental health problems and a growing awareness this is caused by experiences at school."

"Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry have been focusing on mental health issues in that last year and I think they realised that there this is a significant problem with LGBT-phobic bullying in schools which needs to be addressed," he added.

According to The Independent, Prince William invited nine members of the LGBT community to Kensington Palace in order to get an insight into their personal experiences.

And earlier today, Kensington Palace highlighted Prince WIlliam's participation in the upcoming issue, tweeting: "The Duke of Cambridge is on the cover of the next issue of@AttitudeMag speaking out against bullying."

Matthew Todd insists Prince William's approach to the issue is of the utmost importance, saying: "The highest institution of the country, the royal king, is saying it’s not suitable to bully someone because of their sexuality."

The magazine hits the shelves on June 22.
