Curvy (or a lesbian)? Apparently you can’t wear Hervé Léger dresses
The creator of the Hérve Léger "bandage dress" has some seriously messed up ideas about fashion… and women in general.
Designer and Hérve Léger London MD Patrick Couderc has come under fire for some seriously controversial comments he made in a recent interview with the Daily Mail.

Hérve Léger's iconic bandage dresses have been imitated countless times by high street retailers, but the real deal will set you back at least €1,500… and you should steer clear if you're not the perfect Hérve Léger specimen, says Patrick.
Firstly, he insisted that "voluptuous" women and those with "very prominent hips and a very flat chest" should avoid wearing his creations. "You women have a lot of problems. You will lose the plot. You will come and you will put a dress on and you'll be in front of the mirror, like, 'Argh, I'm so fat,'" he continued in an effort to explain his views.

The fashion house's bandage dresses have been worn by everyone from Beyoncé to Katy Perry, with plenty of curvy women among their fans:

Of course, even if you are a slim size 8 you still might not fit Patrick's ideals, as he says "committed lesbians" shouldn't be seen in a bandage dress either.
"If you're a committed lesbian and you are wearing trousers all your life, you won't want to buy a Léger dress. Lesbians would want to be rather butch and leisurely," he said.

Speaking about the comments yesterday, the BCBGMAXAZRIA group, who own Hérve Léger, said that Mr. Couderc was not an authorised spokesperson for the brand.
"The statements made by Mr. Couderc are not a reflection of Hérve Léger by Max Azria or MJH Fashion ideals or sentiments. The Hérve Léger by Max Azria brand celebrates sensuality, glamour, and femininity without discrimination," they said.
