Pageant queen told crown was not intended for her

Imagine being crowned the winner of a beauty pageant only to be told a couple of days later that the organisers got it wrong and you didn’t actually win! This happened to Synthia Nath…

New Zealand beauty pageant queen Synthia Nath was crowned Miss Globe New Zealand 2014 on Saturday, 10th May.

However, two days later, the 19-year-old was told that she was mistaken for another girl and wrongly announced the winner – not cool.

Apparently, Synthia was mixed up with Loriza Latif and was told “it was another Indian girl that should have won”. Organisers said it was an “honest mistake” because the two girls “look alike”.

Not surprisingly, Synthia is now seeking compensation for her entry fee and wants organisers to apologise.

According to reports, Synthia was told to give the crown and sash to the real winner, although she was late informed in an email: “You can keep it and pretend that you still are Miss Globe.”

That would just be weird!

As kids, we all had TV’s and even PlayStation and Gameboys if we were lucky, but we still played outside A LOT. Here are some outdoor games that will seem familiar to you.

1. Rounders
Rounders always created a rift between those who were batting, and those who were out in the field. And this rift often lasted all week long.

2. Duck Duck Goose
This was mostly played at school and someone always ended up falling on someone else while running at top speed around that circle. Or else someone changed direction. Cheaters.

3. What time is it Mr.Wolf
This one always created so much panic! The second Mr. Wolf said “DINNER TIME” you ran like your life depended on it.

4. Stuck in the mud
You never released someone you don’t like. Ever. That’ll learn ’em!

5. Musical Chairs
This one was an indoor game but who else remembers that time of the party where the mom says ‘okay everyone, it’s time for musical chairs’ followed by a big sarcastic ‘yaaaaay!’

6. Pass the parcel
Yet another party game.. we awkwardly sat there passing around a wrapped present. Holding it for that second longer praying the music would stop on you!

7. 45/Tip the Can
The king of all childhood games! God help the person who was on if they left the pole/wall to see could they find people people it was all systems GO GO GO to run to base and SCREAM “45 I FREE ALL” #legend

8. Mother May I
What a memory game. This taught you manners like nothing else.

9. Knock A Dolly
Not so much a game as a neighbourhood nuisance. Still though, what a rush.

10. Red Rover
The trick to this was to get all the big, strong, vicious, crowd on your side.

11. Chinese Whispers
Ah, the childhood version of how cruel rumours start.

12. Dodgeball
This one is still the best fun ever.

13. Skipping
All the popular girls used to be so good at skipping. If you were good and could jump two ropes at a time, you owned that playground.

14. Kerbs
I think everyone in Ireland played this game… so you took one side of the path and the other took the other side.. and you threw the ball to bounce off the kerb!

Healthy breakfast muffins

Get your day off to a good start with these super tasty morning muffins.

What you’ll need:

300g self-rising flour, sifted
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
150g light brown sugar
250ml full-fat milk
2 free-range eggs, beaten
100g butter, melted
25g dried cherries and cranberries

What you’ll need to do:

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4 and line a muffin tray with paper muffin cases.
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon and then stir in the sugar.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs and melted butter, then pour into the dry ingredients and quickly mix together. Stir in the dried fruit.
Divide the batter between the 12 muffin cases. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the middle of the muffins comes out clean.
Leave to cool for five minutes in the tin before serving or munching yourself.

It cannot have been easy for Demi Moore to hear about Mila Kunis’ pregnancy with her ex-husband Ashton Kutcher.

However, Ashton was thoughtful enough to call her first and let her know before the media got hold of the happy news.

Despite their difficult break-up back in 2011, it seems Ashton still very much cares for Demi.

A source told Radar: “Demi was one of the first people Ashton called when he found out Mila was expecting his first child.”

Ashton started dating Mila in 2012 and his divorce from Demi was finalised in 2013.

Mila and Ashton’s first child is due this year and the couple are also engaged to be married.

Could this famous couple be more perfect?

Alessandra Ambrosio has been a Victoria’s Secret Angel for some time now and she knows what it takes to stay in shape.

The model appears on the cover of June’s Self magazine and looks absolutely incredible – but doesn’t keep how she does it a secret. Phew!

Alessandra did admit that prior to the birth of her daughter, Anja, she didn’t work out very much at all, but then that all changed.

“When I started Victoria’s Secret at 21, I never worked out … Then when I got pregnant with my daughter, I gained about 60 pounds and had to walk the Victoria’s Secret show three months later. That was the first time I really had to fight to get my body back into shape.”

The model even shared a few exercise tips: “I’ll do three sets of 25 Supermans … I don’t really do much for my arms: throwing my kids in the air helps already. Plus, as a Brazilian I know the last thing a man is going to look at – even after you feet – is your arms!”

Hmm, we’re not sure we’ll be putting down the dumbbells quite yet!

Cheryl Cole has done it again!

The internet is buzzing with talk of how stunning the X Factor judge looked at the Cannes Film Festival in France last night, where she totally OWNED that red carpet.

Cheryl wore a stunning flowing black textured dress with a raised front by Monica Lhuillier.

The dress was worn by the Girls Aloud singer to attend the première of Foxcatcher, starring Steve Carrell, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo.
