Jennifer Lawrence

The murder of actress, Sharon Tate, back in 1969 sent shock waves throughout Hollywood.

And as the wider community attempted to come to terms with the vicious slaying of a pregnant woman at the hands of Charles Manson's cult, press and documentary-makers swarmed Los Angeles in order to gain a deeper insight into what drove a group of young women to murder.

Over the course of the last five decades, a number of television programmes have been made in relation to the case, but news that iconic filmmaker, Quentin Tarantino, has decided to make a movie about the infamous crime has reignited the public's interest.

With a number of high-profile names being bandied about in relation to the upcoming film, Sharon Tate's sister, Debra, has added her voice to the conversation, and it seems she's less than impressed with some of the actresses currently in the mix.

When asked whether she would rather see Jennifer Lawrence or Margot Robbie play her late sister, Debra was forthcoming in her views when speaking to TMZ,

"Not that I have anything against [Lawrence], but she's…she's not pretty enough to play Sharon" Debra opined."That's a horrible thing to say, but you know. I have my standards,"

Championing the Australian actress, Debra continued: "My pick would be Margot simply because of her physical beauty. And the way she even carries herself is similar to that of Sharon."

"Physical beauty wouldn’t be so important but Sharon’s six years of her public life were all based on that incredibly beautiful, natural, perfect look in both soul, heart and spirit. So that’s what I’m looking to try to capture."

Equally stunning, let's hope the actress is chosen on talent alone.

At this stage Jennifer Lawrence is used to excessive paparazzi attention no matter where she goes.

And while the Oscar-winner is now adept at dodging questions and avoiding eye contact, her pet dog, Pippi, is less familiar with paparazzi etiquette while running the post-flight gauntlet.

Classic dogs, y'know?

So, when a TMZ reporter made the bold decision to engage with the dog after being ignored by her owner, he soon found out how the Hunger Games star really felt about him.

Recalling the moment in footage which was uploaded to Twitter this afternoon, the TMZ reporter appeared delighted to be dubbed a 'f*cking loser' by the A-lister.

Well, you know, it was contact… kind of…

Jennifer Lawrence branded the theft of her nude photos a sex crime, and now the perpetrator is facing justice.

Hacker Edward Majerczyk received a nine-month prison term in a plea bargain after illegally accessing celebrity accounts and stealing the nude images of 30 celebs including Jennifer Lawrence.

He was also ordered to pay €5,300 to reimburse one unnamed celebrity for counselling and therapy she sought following the crime.

According to his plea deal, Majerczyk sent fake emails which looked like they came from the victim's internet service providers seeking usernames and passwords.

He was then able to use these passwords and usernames to access private accounts and information.

Jennifer spoke out at length after the multiple naked and explicit photos of her, along with fellow celebs Kaley Cuoco and Kate Upton, were uploaded to the internet.

“Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this,” Jennifer previously told Vanity Fair.

“It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world.”

"It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting."

With her new movie Passengers to promote and an Oscar to her name, we're sure that boyfriends are the last thing on Jennifer Lawrence's mind.

However, the actress has said that she would consider quitting acting for true love in an interview with Good Morning America,

When asked about the love versus work choice faced by her character Aurora in Passengers, the actress admitted:

"I guess it depends on the love. Is that really mean? Does that sound super callous, it depends on the love?"

"I mean if you were facing getting a really good job and the love that you're with is kind of like 'maybe it's momentary' then like choose the job," she said.

"But if you're like – this is love for the rest of my life then – screw the job!" she continued, proving the love trumps work for the star.

We're just glad she wasn't loved up right before the Hunger Games, because we can't think of anyone who could have played Katniss so perfectly.

Look, we love our dogs as much as the next person, but we've never really harboured any interest in seeing what our offspring might look like.

Because, you know, that's a bit, well, vomit-inducing.

Unfortunately for the viewers of The Late Late Show with James Corden, recent guest, Jennifer Lawrence, actually has considered it, and she's only dying to see it turned into an app.

Communicating her idea to James and the studio audience, Jennifer said: "My idea for an app is an app where you see what you and your dog's baby would look like."

"It's all in the details. It has to be very real," she added.

After revealing that people have actually pursued the idea on her behalf, the Passengers star admitted she wasn't quite impressed with the result.

"They sent me one prototype that's like me with dog ears and a snout and I'm like 'No.' It all about the features," she insisted.

If you say so, Jen.

Another day, another quirky JLaw anecdote, right?

If she isn't 'scratching her butt' on sacred Hawaiian stones, she's urinating in secret beside her mum, and then sharing the photographic evidence with the world.

So, while appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden this week, the Oscar-winner gave a little background into what looks like a candid mother/daughter snap.

"I am actually peeing in that photo and she has no idea. No clue," Jennifer told James in footage which has racked up more than 12,000 views on YouTube.

"I went to pee and my friend got the phone cos she knew I was peeing, and we both decided to leave my mom out of it," Jennifer explained.

Complimenting the Passengers actress on her pose, James remarked: "That's a very relaxed peeing face" to which Jlaw replied: "Yeah, I know how to do it. I've done it alot."

Commenting on the upload, one YouTuber wrote: "I like her, but a peeing story is really not cute at all."

"Do people still think this disgusting, vulgar behavior is cute?" added another.

Well, that went well.

Remember that time you disrespected a culture's beliefs and then boasted about it on television?

Yeah us neither, but that's because we're not Jennifer Lawrence.

After appearing on The Graham Norton Show last week, the Oscar-winner has come in for serious criticism on social media, and it's not hard to see why.

While reflecting on the filming of Passengers in Hawaii, Jennifer revealed that she had used sacred stones to 'scratch her butt'… much to the clear surprise of her fellow guests.

"We were filming in Hawaii and there were sacred rocks," she began. "And they were, I don't know, ancestors, who knows? They were sacred and you're not supposed to sit on them because you're not suppose to expose your genitalia to them."

"I, however, was in a wetsuit for this whole shoot, and oh my God they were so good for butt-itching," she continued.

"And one rock that I was butt-scratching ending up coming loose and there was a giant boulder and it rolled down this mountain and almost killed our sound guy. And all the Hawaiins were like 'Its the curse!' and I was like 'I'm your curse.'"

Taking to Twitter to share their disgust with the star's story, members of the public had their say.

Good one, Jennifer.

From Miley Cyrus’ tears to Lady Gaga’s protest, Donald Trump’s election has elicited a variety of responses from Hollywood’s elite.

However, at this early stage, few stars have surmised America’s current political situation as eloquently as The Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence.

In an open letter for Vice’s Broadly, the 26-year-old Kentucky native has encouraged US citizens to transform their current state of anger and fear into a form of hopeful resolution.

Surmising the feelings of those left marginalised by Trump’s rise to power, the Oscar-winner wrote: “Is this the stark reality?…This country was founded on immigration and today the only people that feel safe, that their rights are recognized and respected are white men.”

“I want to be positive; I want to support our democracy, but what can we take away from this?  It’s a genuine question that we all need to ask ourselves.”

As an outspoken opponent of the President-elect, Jennifer continued by offering seemingly modest solutions to the anxieties of her peers.

“If you’re worried about racial violence love your neighbour more than you’ve ever tried to before – no matter what they believe or who they voted for.”

“If you're afraid of a wall putting us all into another recession then organize and stand against it.”

“If you’re a woman and you’re worried that no matter how hard you work or how much you learn, there will always be a glass ceiling, then I don’t really know what to say.  I don’t know what I would tell my daughter if I were you.  Except to have hope.  To work for the future.”

The actress’ powerful letter finished by recognising that the current mood is apt, but suggested that those left disappointed by the election’s result must continue to strive for progress.

“We’re all allowed to be sad that the present isn’t what we thought it was.  But we mustn’t be defeated.  We will keep educating ourselves and working twice as hard as the man next to us because we know now that it is not fair.  It is not fair in the workplace, so you make it impossible to fail.  And like Hillary, it might not work.”

“But like Hillary, you can still be an inspiration and get important things done.  Do not let this defeat you – let this enrage you!  Let it motivate you!  Let this be the fire you didn't have before.  If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of colour, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman – don't be afraid, be loud!”

If the rumours are to be believed, then it looks like Jennifer Lawrence has found herself a new man.

According to People, the actress is dating director Darren Aronofsky, who is twenty years her senior.

You might know Darren from directing such movies as Black Swan and Noah.

However, an insider has noted that they're being pretty chill about it at the moment, saying, "they've been hanging out and are casually dating."

Mr Aronofsky was previously in a relationship with actress Rachel Weisz and they share a ten-year-old son together.

The pair met while filming a new movie which Darren wrote and directed, but is currently unnamed.

Amy Schumer has opened up about the impact the murder of two women has had on her while being interviewed for Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter this week.

Upon learning that two women had been killed by a gunman during a screening of her film Trainwreck in Louisiana in 2015, Amy admitted she struggled to come to terms with the news.

"I mean, on paper it’s like yes, of course, yes, you connect to that, two women were murdered, you know," she said.

"But knowing it was my movie, and … that they went and they bought tickets and wanted to go see this movie, it just crushed me," she admitted.

The stand-up comedian grappled with a form of guilt in the aftermath of the incident, saying: "I felt so powerless. And it felt a little bit like something that I had done, that there was a connection to me actually hurting people."

Amy recalled receiving a text from Jennifer Lawrence after the incident which she insists brought her solace the time – something which many people might struggle to understand.

"You know, that is actually when I felt the closest to Jennifer Lawrence, because that day she texted me, ‘It’s your fault,’" Amy remembered.

"And in times like that only jokes make you feel a little better," Amy explained while Lena added: "Jennifer Lawrence texting ‘It’s your fault’ is like the greatest worst thing I ever heard."

33-year-old Jillian Johnson and 21-year-old Mayci Breaux were killed by John Russel Houser in July 2015.

She’s outspoken, funny, stunning and – as the latest Forbes rich list has revealed – absolutely minted.  Yes, it seems Jennifer Lawrence really does have it all.

The Joy star has been named Hollywood’s highest earning female actress for the second year running, despite being the youngest lady on the star studded list which includes the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Charlize Theron and Julia Roberts.

According to The Telegraph, the 26-year-old Oscar winner will rake in a cool $46 million this year as she receives payment for her work on the Hunger Games and X-Men Apocalypse movies, as well as for her role as a Dior brand ambassador.

Melissa McCarthy took second place on the list with her $33 million income – that’s $10 million more than what she made last year – and Scarlett Johansson occupies the third spot with $25 million.

Former Friends star Jennifer Aniston is expected to make $21 million, while Mila Kunis took ninth place with $11 million.

Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon and Kristen Stewart failed to make this year’s list, despite all having featured on the 2015 version.

While we wouldn’t say no to J Law’s salary, it is still worth noting that the actress’ $46 million income is still only half of what Hollywood’s leading man Robert Downey Jr made last year.
