During her time in the Love Island villa, Megan Barton-Hanson was judged for many things – her attitude to female friendships, her choice to have plastic surgery and her fashion choices were just a few we could mention.

However, nothing drew more judgement and prejudice to her than the revelation that she had once worked as a stripper and the fact that she had sex in the Love Island house on camera – two things which speak to the discrimination women who enjoy their sexuality still face.

The thing is, there is a huge double standard when it comes to judgement based on sexual history, as men as placed on a pedestal as skilful 'players' for engaging in high levels of sexual activity, while women are devalued and degraded, and told that their personal quality is based on their amount (or lack thereof) of sexual partners and a chaste detachment from sex.

'I think it's really unfair and an old fashioned way to look at it' she told Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.

'I slept with guys on TV and people think I should be ashamed of it. I'm not. If a guy done it…'

'It’s 2018, if women want to do whatever they want with their body we should empower each other – it shouldn’t be like a put down. ‘I slept with people on TV and I feel like people want me to be ashamed of it and I’m not.’

Megan's words will resonate with many who have faced dehumanisation based on their past, but the words on her statement t-shirt spoke volumes – Stop Valuing Women Based On Their Sexual History.

The t-shirt is the creation of artist Florence Given , who uses her talent to create feminist print works which she posts to her popular Instagram account.

A post shared by FLOSS (@florencegiven) on

Posting about Megan wearing the t-shirt, Florence Given wrote: 'A feminist hero. I am in awe of her strength. Megan came out of the Love Island villa to find that the whole world had been ridiculing her not only for her experience as a stripper, but because of the procedures she has had to make herself feel comfortable in her own body.'

'‘Before’ pictures of Megan were circulating the internet to try and undermine her beauty, and were cruelly brought up full-screen on Good Morning Britain today. When will we let women just live and love themselves?

'We STILL bring up women’s sexual history in the media like it’s something they need to be ashamed of, forgetting that it takes TWO people to have sex. Where’s the shame for men?!'

A post shared by FLOSS (@florencegiven) on

'Thank you @meganbartonhanson_ for sticking it to Piers so bravely and telling the world that there is NOTHING shameful about sex work. Oh…and for wearing my words.'

Megan's t-shirt is now available for pre-order at www.florencegiven.com.

We seem to have something in our eye after Ryan Thomas' letter from home.

Celebrity Big Brother has made us weak as Ryan couldn't get past the first three sentences of the letter, before breaking down into tears.

Sally Morgan read out the tearjerker which was written by his brother, Scott.

His younger brother offered Ryan some reassurance over recent assault accusations by the former housemate, Roxanne.

"I know you’ve been out of your comfort zone, but trust me it’s been well worth it. You’ve shown the nation just how amazing you really are."

"You have absolutely nothing to worry about. Everyone has seen the real you," it added.

The letter also offered some cute relief for the actor, saying how much his daughter Scarlett had been missing him – cute!

"Scarlett is missing her daddy so so much, and we have been showing her some clips from your challenges…She smiles from ear to ear seeing her daddy having so much fun," Sally read.

The letter also revealed that Ryan's girlfriend, former TOWIE star, Lucy Mecklenburgh was right behind him, supporting him every step of the way.

"Lucy is more than proud of you and she is so happy everyone gets to see the Ryan she knows and loves. Honestly bro, just keep being you and keep shining."

It's fair to say poor Ryan was a right state after hearing all the kind words of encouragement.

But it seemed that the letter had us all in pieces, as people took to Twitter to shed a collective tear over the letter.

Roxanne has publicly apologised to Ryan and his family for the claim she made.

The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate stated that she had "got it wrong."

After a tough time, here is hoping that things only get better for Ryan.

Victoria Beckham may be known as one of the top fashion designers in the world but family comes first.

It's what has kept the fascination with the Beckham family ever-constant; their down-to-earth likeability. Yes, we can't forget they do live a life of obvious luxury but even within this, they do 'normal' things. They write adorable father's day cards, a proud mum posts a snap of her daughter's haircut, a sweet sixteen gets celebrated (on a yacht with Elton John, but still).

A post shared by British Vogue (@britishvogue) on

But all this hasn't stopped Victoria and David from enduring a share of unwanted attention from the press. The couple have been married for 19 years, and in the new issue of British Vogue, Victoria – who appears on two cover options, the first with her four children and the second with husband David while daughter Harper plays on a swing behind them – addressed the ongoing public fascination of their marriage.

Even this year, back in June, the couple were plagued, seemingly out of nowhere that their marriage was over. So much so, that after a 24-hour social media storm, a spokesperson for the couple was forced to vehemently denied the claims and unfounded rumours. The fashion designer and singer simply says that their lives are all about family, but added that she found the rumours "unfair."

A post shared by British Vogue (@britishvogue) on

The stories are not only unfair to them, but to the "wider effect on the people around us." She doesn't mention her children by name, but it is the boys: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz as well as daughter Harper who would instantly be affected by hurtful gossip.

"It's all about the family unit. We are much stronger, the six of us, than we would be if we were individuals. We respect that family bond and that is key," she said in the interview.

She also adds that she knows the true value of the bond – and brand – that both her and David bring as a couple, despite both being charismatic and strong individuals.

"We both realise that we are stronger together than we are as individuals. Would either of us be in the position that we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago?"

While the profile has generally been praised, some are criticising the above photo in which the kids are fighting with water guns, with comments saying the move was "utterly tasteless."

“Why the guns?” read one comment on British Vogue’s Instagram page. “Use of guns is utterly tasteless,” wrote a critic. “Fake guns but really, did you need to use guns as props?” read a comment on Victoria’s Instagram page. The family have yet to comment on the backlash.

Yet while the Beckham family are perfectly suited to the iconic magazine's historic pages, it's the 44-year-old's behind-the-scenes video footage of the shoot that is a highlight – it sheds light on yet another layer to her enigmatic personality as she showcases iconic looks from her Spice Girl days:

She's hilarious. And she's given us many more reasons to adore her clan.

Since having daughter True four months ago, Khloe Kardashian has kept fairly out of the limelight, wanting to enjoy this happy time with her daughter away from the media glare.

The run up to True's birth was also a difficult time for the new mum, whose personal relationship with partner Tristan Thompson was subject to huge attention. The reality star released no statement at the time, but had much support from her sisters as she prepared to welcome her daughter to the world.

Photo via Instagram

Thankfully, much of that dust seems to have settled and Khloé and Thompson are enjoying their first holiday together as a now family of three.

Photo via Instagram

The couple embarked on their trip and have since kept busy sharing photos of their adventures on what appears to be a tropical island.

In photos shared to Khloe's Instagram Story, the adorable tot is pictured in a pink sun hat and she also enjoyed her very first swimming lesson.

How adorable is that?!

And even her proud pop was impressed by his daughter's style; True modelled a pink sun hat (so much style already) while her dad cooed over her.

The couple appeared in other videos on the photo-sharing app looking very loved up, taking in the sights and wildlife, while also enjoying the quality time together.

A post shared by Khloé (@khloekardashian) on

And even though she's enjoying some downtime, Khloé recently revealed she felt anxious at the thought of leaving her daughter to return to work.

“I don’t know how I’m going to leave her all day tomorrow. That’s freaking me out. But I got to go back to work at some point. I'm anxious to leave True but also eager to get back to work now that I have a new push and motivation. It's not just for me anymore."

It's a story we constantly hear: intern has an affair with older, powerful boss. Affair gets discovered, woman gets vilified and has her life ruined while the man gets a mere slap on the wrist. It's written about in books and songs now but in the mid-nineties, this played out for all the world to see. Monica Lewinsky was just 22-years-old when she worked as an unpaid White House intern in summer 1995 when her affair with Bill Clinton, the then-49-year-old president of the United States, began.

To put it simply, much of her young adult life was ruined. Lewinsky was investigated in 1998 by an independent prosecutor, Ken Starr who, according to a first-person interview with Vanity Fair, "[was] accompanied by a group of F.B.I. agents [that] had hustled me into a hotel room near the Pentagon and informed me that unless I cooperated with them I could face 27 years in prison."

The Starr investigation as it was known, turned her "24-year-old life into a living hell." The young woman only in her early twenties had her life terrorised, her life altered by a team who were determined to use her to get to Clinton.

She did what so many of us do when we're young; she fell in love and made a mistake. It was a big one. It hurt many people and it's no excuse but in layman terms, that's what it was.  Sure, Clinton was investigated, called out. But today, he is still lauded as a charismatic public figure, despite his many mistakes which included lying to the public – and everyone else in his family – and denying a long-term affair and involvement with an intern. For Lewinsky, she is still synonymous with a blue dress – even Beyonce has sung about it, poking fun at all that her life resembled. She was outed and ostracised back then – and it's still not over for her.

Even google her name; you won't find one article without a tie to the public scandal. Google Clinton and you'll see articles about the latest public event he attended. Yet this was something that involved more than a woman who was young and foolish; it also included a man who was old enough to know better – and the most powerful man in the world at the time – at over two decades her senior. But he's rarely spoken of in that way. She was gaslighted. He was not.

"At the age of 22, I fell in love with my boss. At the age of 24, I learned the devastating consequences."

And today, the now 45-year-old was forced to walk off stage during a live interview during short during a conference in Jerusalem after being asked an "off limits" question about the former President, saying later that the interviewer disregarded "clear parameters" for their discussion.

Lewinsky was being interviewed by Israeli TV news anchor Yonit Levi of Hadashot News when Levi began by asking Lewinsky whether she still expected a personal, private apology from Clinton and took to Twitter to explain why:

"I left because it is more important than ever for women to stand up for themselves and not allow others to control their narrative."

This is a woman who is taking control, after her narrative was defined by others for decades. Because what does it say about us, still as a society, in the era of #MeToo, when almost 25 years after a painful, public humiliation, a woman is reduced to walking off stage to avoid feeling shamed? That she made a mistake is without question, but that she's still getting held to ransom while Clinton's equal part happily gets glossed over by the media at large is so very, very wrong.

Monica Lewinsky deserves so much better.

Chrissy Teigen's daughter looks just like her mum in these adorable photos.

Like many mums, the model can’t stop gushing over how cute her children are and neither can we!

The mum-of-two recently had baby Miles and has been hinting at hopes of having a third child as well.

In her latest post, the mum-of-two posted a captivating portrait of her darling daughter Luna.

The toddler is dressed head-to-toe in pink, from her sandals to her high-top scrunchie.

A post shared by chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen) on

Her chic outfit resembles traditional Thai clothing with layers of colourful patterns and lace, pulled together with a lovely silk sash.

Chrissy seems proud of little Luna as she rocks a modern take on her ancestors' customary wear.

The resemblance between the two-year-old and her mother is uncanny.

Chrissy also shared what appears to be an old photo of herself sitting on her mother’s lap with a huge smile.

The young model is pictured in a long, blue silk dress.

A post shared by chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen) on

Her mum looks fondly at her while the two hold hands and relish the lovely mother-daughter bond they share.

Now the gorgeous model is grown with children of her own and fully embraces her Thai culture.

Although as a child in America she used to be embarrassed of her different heritage, the mum could not be prouder of who she is and where her family has come from.

She wishes for Luna to have a different experience as a child, feeling nothing but acceptance and pride in her culture.

A post shared by chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen) on

This is why Chrissy gives her daughter dark-skinned dolls called Coco Baies instead of blonde-barbies, she explained to StyleCaster.

“Having something that represents them or looks a little like them, it changes everything.”

We are glad to see Chrissy encouraging young Luna to be confident in herself and absolutely love the gorgeous photos of the mom and daughter duo.

You know when you meet a younger person who oozes talent and makes you feel like an inadequate human being?

Get ready to feel like that again.

Meet Jack Ó Conghaile, a teenager who has more musical talent in one fingernail, than we do in our entire bodies.

The teenager took George Ezra's summer bop, 'Shotgun' and gave it the As Gaeilge treatment.

His vocals sound extremely similar to Ezra, which confused some people in the comments section.

"Is that his real voice? Voice doesn't match the youth of the guy," asked one spectator.

The video was uploaded to TG Lurgan's Youtube channel as Jack had created the version of the tune as part of the Irish language summer school’s ‘Cúrsa D’.

'Shotgun' went down a treat at Electric Picnic over the weekend, where George belted out the lyrics as the crowd sang along.

However, some are now saying that they prefer Jack's cover to the original.

If that wasn't enough to make you feel bad about your lack of ability, this isn't Jack's first video.

The teenager also takes centre stage in Dua Lipa's 'Scared to be Lonely', where he whips out a fiddle and starts playing.

It wouldn't surprise us if Jack was up on stage at Electric Picnic at some point in the future.

In the meantime, we are looking forward to seeing the covers the incredibly talented teen comes up with.

Now, we are off to try and discover a secret talent we haven't tapped into yet.

To All The Boys I've Loved Before has taken the Irish Netflix audience by storm in recent weeks – with fans taking to social media to praise the romantic storyline and unique concept.

16-year-old Lara Jean writes secret love letters to all her former flames, but these letters are somehow posted to all of her high school crushes. Understandable, chaos follows.

As one of the most popular films on Netflix at the moment, and a Netflix Original, the streaming service wanted to mark the movie in a special way.

Telling their Twitter followers that they just want to see a little more love in the world, they invited fans of the film to write their own anonymous love letters, complete with their crushes Twitter handle, so that Netflix could post them.

The result was pretty damn heart-wrenching – with anonymous contributors pouring their hearts out online.

However, not everyone is happy with the attention. One Twitter user who was tagged as the recipient of a love letter, has lashed out against the declaration of love.

'The more comments I get on this, the more frustrated I get. Don’t do some “grandiose” rom com gesture to someone you don’t talk to and haven’t seen in the LAST FOUR YEARS,' she wrote.

'Also you had a girlfriend when we met and I have a GREAT BF (NO SECRET THERE). This isn’t romantic folks.'

Sometimes what works in a rom com definitely doesn't work in real life.

Cheese gets a bad rep.

Sure it's loaded with calories and fat, but it's definitely tasty enough that we're willing to forget that.

However, you'll be happy to know that researchers at the Texas A&M University have discovered a surprising health benefit linked with the food.

According to the study, aged cheese like brie, parmesan and cheddar could actually prevent liver disease and contribute to a longer life expectancy

Apparently these unlikely benefits are all down to a special compound called ‘spermidine’.

The naturally occurring compound has been known to hinder the replication of damaged liver cells, thus preventing many liver diseases, including cancer.

The spermidine treatment was linked to a 25 per cent increase in the life expectancy if mice, however, scientist still have a long way to go before confirming if the same effect could be seen in humans.

Not a cheese lover? Don’t worry, the same effect can be had from eating whole grains, mushrooms, corn and legumes.

Not us though, we’ll take all the cheese.
