Louise Cooney never fails to slay in the style department, but one of her most recent looks caught our eye.

Her classic style and taste for tailoring comes into it's own in the autumnal months, and a very pretty jumper she rocked over on Instagram has just become our must have piece.

Snuggled up outside a coffee shop, Louise showcased a stunning cream roll neck jumper with baggy sleeves gathered at the wrists – and we love it.

A staple piece can sometimes set you back big bucks, but this River Island piece is only €47.00, a pretty good bargain for a classic piece.

The part mohair jumper looks super soft and cosy, and we wish it was available in more colours.

However, the staple cream shade makes it seriously versatile, and can be worn with pretty much anything.

Louise teamed hers with a plaid skirt and ankle boots with bare legs, but we would love to see it tucked in to a leather skirt with tights and boots, or with a denim skirt and comfortable runners.

It would also look gorge thrown over skinny jeans and some layered, dainty necklaces for a Sunday brunch, or go all out and tuck it into a pair of new season embellished flares.

Best of all, this piece is timeless, so no matter what items come and go that you pair it with, the jumper itself will always be a classic.

When she's not inspiring us to hit the gym and eat right, Roz Purcell is posing up a storm in  a series of stunning outfits over on Instagram.

Last night was no exception, as the fitness influencer and model celebrated her birthday at The Drury Buildings, where iconic online brand Nasty Gal was showcasing their new A/W collection.

September dressing can be tricky, but Roz's Nasty Gal ensemble was the ideal way to incorporate autumnal trends into a still summery look.

Plaid is always in for Autumn, but if you're not ready to drown yourself in heavy layers of it, Roz's Dionne Plaid Dress is the way to go.

Currently on sale for €24.00 over on Nasty Gal, the checked mini dress is the perfect transitional piece.

Rounding off the look, Roz added her black Miu Miu Club Matelassé bag slung around her waist, a favourite of hers if her Instagram is anything to go by, and kept the Autumnal vibe going with a pair of subtle sock booties.

Her gorgeous sister Rachel rocked an off-duty model look, pairing black skinny jeans with a casual denim jacket and a lace up crop top.

Thankfully it’s not yet time to pack our bikinis away, but it never hurts to be thinking ahead. With July soon closing in, it won’t be long before we will need to get our heads around what styles are in this coming autumn.

S! TV’s Rebecca went to the launch of the Arnotts' autumn ranger and found out exactly what you need to have in your wardrobe next season.

With a huge emphasis on autumnal colours and plenty of faux fur, this new collection will take the sting out of leaving the sun behind.

Now that Ireland’s climate has gone full-on wintery with rain and wind galore, it might be time to say goodbye to those heels and embrace the cozy ankle boot.

A simple leather boot is an easy way to look slick and stylish without compromising on comfort. Whether you go for a killer heel or a flat Chelsea boot, there is something out there for everyone and to suit any price range.

The humble ankle boot is hugely versatile – here are just some of the ways we’ll be wearing our pair this season…

1. Colour pop
Steering away from the standard black, brown or tan is a great way to add a bolder element to your outfit. Caroline Flack’s bright red pair are edgy enough to wear on a night out, but could easily be dressed down with plain black jeans:

2. Lengthen those legs
Tucking a jegging, legging or ultra-skinny jean into your ankle boots is a great way to lengthen the leg line. Cara Delevingne is a big fan of this look – though her legs are long enough as it is!

3. Fold it over
Double cuff your jeans to show off just a peek of ankle. Boyfriend jeans are great for this look, but they do shorten the leg line more than cuffed skinnies, so be careful if you have naturally shorter legs. Rachel Bilson pulls this style off like a pro:

4. Put a sock in it
Layering high ankle socks over leggings, tights or even bare legs gives a real prairie-girl touch to your ankle boots. Avoid this look over thicker jeans unless you want to look like a hillwalker! This style blogger has the right idea:

5. Dress it up
Despite the colder weather, wearing a summer dress is still an option – just add tights, a chunky cardigan or leather jacket and your trusty boots. Beautiful!

6. Pencil perfect
A midi-length pencil skirt with a heeled ankle book is a really slick high-fashion look – channel your inner Rihanna for this one:

7. Nip and tuck
Tailored trousers look really classy with a slim line ankle boot (no buckles or thick straps), especially if you show off a touch of skin. This model gets it just right:

8. Get some bling
Embellished ankle boots with details like studs, cut-outs or chunky buckles are a great way to add a grungy, edgy touch to an otherwise basic outfit. We love Emma Roberts’ Chloé pair:

White denim mightn't seem like the most obvious choice for a cold weather outfit, but it's such a good base for layers, textures and prints that it really does work in any season.

Crisp white jeans are often thought of as overly preppy, but it's so easy to dress them down for a more relaxed style.

Here are a few of our favourite looks…

1. Rip it up
Ripped or distressed white jeans are a great edgy take on an otherwise clean cut look. Killer heals or simple loafers finish off this look perfectly. Add a biker jacket for serious grunge, or keep it simple with a tailored jumper like blogger Jessica Maystein:

2. Texture time
Don't be afraid to use clashing textures and prints to create a look that will get you noticed – they're the perfect match for plain white skinny jeans. We can't get enough of these closed-toe sandals as worn by model Josephine LeTutour, either:

3. White and bright
Okay, it's not the best look if you're off for a night of babysitting or if you're a fan of red wine, but wearing all white is a real stand-out option, and it's easier to do than you'd think! We love how model Karolina Kurkova rocks white and cream together:

4. Keep it basic
A plain shirt or sweater is the perfect complement to your white skinnies, and a great daytime option. We're big fans of this double denim look, broken up with a black leather belt. Want.

5. Short and sweet
Buying your jeans in a shorter leg length so that they just hit at the top of your ankle is a great choice if you plan on wearing ankle boots. Showing a bit of skin means you won't risk entering line dancer territory!

6. Perfect prints
Bold and colourful prints are a great option if you don't want to feel too prim and proper in white denim. SJP keeps it safe with a comfy flannel shirt – we're big fans:

7. Blaze a trail
Teaming a blazer with your white skinnies will have you office ready in seconds. It's sharp and stylish with just a hint of preppiness! Heels or flats work equally well with this look:

8. On the edge
Make this look your own by adding dark leather, a slogan tee or luxe fabrics like leather and lace. A buttoned shirt really finishes this outfit off:

When the colder weather hits it can be easy to revert to blacks, greys and other muted colours. This season though we're determined not to let the darker evenings get us down, which is why we are big fans of Oasis' fun and colourful A/W 2014 collection.

As well as some gorgeous luxe wool and fur pieces, there are amazing jewel and candy-toned shoes and dresses to brighten up your autumn wardrobe.

A backpack is an essential for your A/W wardrobe and we have serious lust for this black leather one. Whether you wear it schoolgirl-style on your back, or carry it low by the top handle, it's a look that's functional but feminine.

We can never say no to a good graphic print and these dogtooth and tartan numbers don't disappoint. Make a bold statement in a head-to-toe design, or liven up your look with one key piece.

Time to get shopping!

We might be squeezing the last warmth out of the sunnier months, but just one look around the shops will tell you that autumn has well and truly arrived. Coats, boots and winter woolies are lining the shelves, but it can be hard to know exactly what to choose to look the part this season.

We've picked our top basic pieces to help you to transition seamlessly into autumn. Whatever colour or print you go for, these basic items will see you through this changing weather!

1. Trench coat
A trench is the perfect coat for those days when the weather really just can't decide what it's up to. It's light enough to be worn open on a warm day, but it also looks incredible when belted with a wool scarf and winter gloves. An great transitional choice! We love this piped beige trench from Dunnes for €55 – and it's also available in burgundy.

2. Shirt dress
This is one purchase that will take you right through to next summer. A shirt dress is an easy choice with bare legs and leather sandals, or get cozy by wearing tights, boots and a chuky cardi. This printed khaki dress from Topshop (€52) is perfect for autumn.

3. Simple shorts
Shorts are your best friend when it comes to the changing seasons. They're a beach wardrobe staple in the sunnier months, but they look great over tights too – black or coloured. We're fans of this black belted pair from New Look for €17.99 – team with a cute knitted jumper for easy autumn style.

4. A cape, poncho or cardigan
A good quality knitted piece is a key addition to your autumn wardrobe. A thick cardigan, like this check-printed one from Warehouse (€56) adds a soft, feminine and cozy touch to your look.

5.  Dark skinny jeans
A dark pair of skinnies is a sexier option than your standard denim pair, so they're perfect when you want to keep wrapped up on a Saturday night. We adore these waxed black skinnies from River Island (€55) – we'd take them over a miniskirt any day!

6. Ankle boots
Forget heels, ankle boots are your best friend this season. Your tootsies will be warm as you battle the elements, and the low heel is great for navigating icy pavements. These cutout Lianna boots from Oasis (€56) would look fab with bare legs or tights:

Or for a lower price point, we're big fans of New Look's tan Chelsea boot (€29.99):

7. A cozy scarf
A warm scarf doesn't just have to be practical. Choose a bright print to add a pop of colour to your wardrobe. At just €8 (down from €25), this H&M scarf won't leave you out in the cold:

We might still be holding out for some late September sun but autumn is well and truly on its way. If you're looking for some transitional style choices to take you into the colder months, you'll love the new Oasis Flutter collection.

The capsule collection, launched last week in collaboration with award-winning ceramic designer Pete Ting, features stunning hummingbird silhouettes with a distinctly autumnal colour pallette – think deep blues and purples. We're loving this printed kimono and long-sleeved blouse – perfect for livening up your work wear wardrobe.

The collection mixes classic shift dresses with bolder pieces like bird-print bomber jackets, and with price tags starting at just €28, you won't be able to resist "flying away" with a few bargains!
