Ever wanted to try lipstick that tastes and smells like your favourite food? Well today is your lucky day.

MAC Cosmetics just announced the launch of its new makeup collection, and we are VERY intrigued.

Global Senior Makeup Artist for MAC, Dominic Skinner, gave beauty-lover a sneak peak of the new Lipglass range, which features lip glosses in flavours like chocolate, raspberry and coconut.

In an Instagram post, Dominic showed swatches of the lip colours, which range from shocking silvers to pale pinks.

In his caption, he wrote: "#SeenBackstage  #MakeupSwatches for the #Lipglass from a #NEW #MAC collection These #Smell (I know coz I’ve smelt) and apparently #Taste (IDK coz I’ve not tasted) like their names"

Each lip gloss is named after a different tasty treat – Death By Chocolate, Banana Muffins, Coconut Macaroon, Funfetti Cake, Raspberry Cream and Strawberry Torte.

There's no official launch date just yet, but we'll keep you updated as soon as we know more.

Best selling author, and proud mum, Emma Hannigan sadly passed away earlier today.

Late last month, beloved Irish author Emma Hannigan shared news of her terminal diagnosis after an 11-year-long battle with cancer.

The 45-year-old mother-of-two discovered she carried the BRCA1 'breast cancer' gene in 2005, and decided to have her breasts and ovaries removed as a precautionary measure.

However, despite her efforts to stop the disease, Emma was diagnosed with cancer in 2007 and has since fought the illness 10 times.

In an emotional post online, the author wrote: “The time I knew was borrowed must be given back soon, so it seems.”

"The conversation I never wanted to have has been said. My medical team have thrown everything but the kitchen sink at this fight but all avenues have now been exhausted."

Since sharing the news, book-lovers and fellow writers have come together to push Emma's new book Letters to my Daughter, to the number one spot.

Letters to my Daughter explores the complicated bonds between daughters, mothers and sisters, telling the story of the three Brady sisters who, having always been close to their grandmother May, struggle to cope with her sudden death.

Speaking about her latest release Emma said: “These characters were as real to me as all the others. They grew on me and some annoyed me at times, but as always, they were mine.”

The beautiful Emma is survived by her two children, and her loving husband.

Our thoughts are with them at this terrible time.

The purrfect job doesn't exi… wait never mind.

Just Cats in Clonsilla, Dublin, is currently advertising for a full-time cat cuddler. Yes, really!

The requirements for the job are as follows:

  • Are you a crazy cat person and loves cats?
  • Does cattitude come naturally to you?
  • Have you counted kittens before you go asleep?
  • Do you feed the stray cats in your locality?
  • Does petting cats make you feel warm and fuzzy?

The website reads: "Based in Clonsilla, Dublin 15, we are Dublin's only veterinary clinic for just cats. We are looking for someone to work with our feline friendly staff in a 'no dogs' veterinary clinic.

"We are an equal opportunities employer, however we do discriminate against dogs attending our veterinary clinic as patients.

"The ideal candidate must have gentle hands capable of petting and stroking cats for long periods of time. They need to be softly spoken and capable of cat whispering to calm the nerves of some of our inpatients.

"An ability to understand different types of purring is a distinct added advantage in helping you secure this position with us."

We can't believe this is real life.

They say that diamonds are a girl's best friend, but I am here to tell you that the real winner of that title is Champagne.

Cuvée Beauty is a new line of hair products, and their main ingredient is Champagne… because, DUH!

Rachel Katzman, the founder and CEO of Cuvée Beauty, was doused in Champagne at her 21st birthday, and noticed that her hair was "soft, shiny, and textured".

On the sixth day of Chanukah, we ask for a box full of Cuvee. #cuveebeauty

So, naturally, she decided to use this knowledge to create an AMAZING hair product.

Cuvée Beauty offers its customers a wide range of Champagne-filled products, from shampoo to styling spray.

Prices start at €30, which seems fairly reasonable, in our opinion.

We SO need to try these products.

Is there anything worse than lying in bed, wide awake, watching the clock edge closer and closer towards your alarm clock?

No, nothing.

The internal panic you feel when you realise you won't be getting any sleep is like nothing else, especially if you have work the next day.

Thankfully, scientists have found a solution to this issue.

Pink noise is basically a type of background noise that has an equal level of energy per octave, meaning it has a lower frequency than white noise – and it might just be the answer to those sleepless nights.

According to a study in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience pink noise is less intrusive than white noise and could lead to a better, deeper sleep.

They even suggest that if used regularly, pink noise could improve your memory too. Sold.

The study tested people listening to pink noise as they slept, and found that those participants reported feeling a lot more rested.

The pink noise participants also performed three times better in memory tests and cognition tests compared to those who just slept normally.

I mean, science has spoken, so it's worth a go!

Hold on to your hats, ladies; you are about to read the most important piece of news this year…

Recently, two Mumbai-based scientists discovered a new species of spider, and it looks EXACTLY like the bloody Sorting Hat.

The spider has been named Eriovixia Gryffindori after one of the Hogwarts founders, Godric Gryffindor (naturally).

“When we first saw the spider, our collective thoughts were, ‘It looks just like the Sorting Hat, from the films!’ Being on the same wavelength, we decided to name the spider, after Godric Gryffindor,” one of the scientists said to BuzzFeed.

Even the amazing JK Rowling was chuffed with new discovery, and even sent out a tweet:

The spider even made its way to Queen J.K. Rowling, who seemed mighty pleased with the little buggo.

Well now, there you have it.

Groundbreaking stuff.

Lacoste has replaced its famous crocodile logo for one of 10 endangered animal species on a series of limited-edition polo shirts.

Designed to bring attention to the global state of biodiversity, these shirts were launched during the brand's runway show at Paris Fashion Week on 1 March 2018 and sold out immediately.

The limited edition Lacoste x SaveOurSpecies polo shirts feature endangered animals such as the Sumatran Tiger and the Anegada Rock Iguana in place of the famous crocodile.

For each species, the number of polo shirts produced corresponds to the number of individuals known to remain in the wild.

The most limited features The Gulf of California porpoise, of which there are just 30 left in the wild, while the brand made 450 shirts featuring the Cyclone of Anegada Island – an iguana from the British Virgin Islands.

The French brand made 1,775 polo shirts in total. Which means that there are only 1,775 of these 10 animals left in the wild.

An upsetting thought.

All proceeds from the sale of the shirts will be donated to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), an International organisation working to protect nature and focus on the conservation of natural resources.

Lacoste released a statement about the concept of logo changing:

"The Lacoste crocodile is one of the world's most iconic logos, proudly displayed on the brand's famous polos for the past 85 years. For the first time in the brand's history BETC has initiated a change of the logo."

"Lacoste and BETC worked closely with IUCN's experts to define and select ten threatened species, whose animals have been designed by the Lacoste studio to create the logos, adopting exactly the same embroidery approach as the historic Crocodile," it continued.

Hands up of you are a die hard fan of Gilmore Girls…

*throws two hands in the air aggressively*

So, we've watched the series, BINGED the new episodes, and yet we still want more.

Well, the delightfully whimsical brand, Urban Tee Farm, have launched their very own collection of Gilmore Girls inspired lip balms, and we're obsessed.

There are three shades, all inspired by our favourite Gilmore moments.

Vicious Trollop (we all remember this) is described as "a beautiful light pink tint", while Spring Break is tinted with organic hibiscus powder, mica and "flavoured with organic peppermint and mango".

No Gilmore Girls related cosmetic would be complete without some form of coffee, and the final lip balm is an ode to this.

Java Junkie is a coffee flavoured lip balm that will re-hydrate and nourish your lips.

If, like us, you can't decide which flavour you want, why not get the full kit (includes all three).
