Bank of Ireland are warning their customers to ignore any text messages that say their online accounts are frozen.

It's believed a number of customers have received texts telling them their accounts have been locked for "security reasons."

The messages then attempt to divert users to a fake link to "reset" account details. Phishing by text is known as "smishing."

BOI say scammers are using the texts to attempt to access online accounts. However, the company stress their systems have not been hacked according to RTÉ.

The bank also want to remind customers that they never send unsolicited emails or texts asking for full log-on details.

They have asked customers to be vigilant and report any suspicious email or text to 365security@boimail.com.

They recommend following these guidelines to keep your cash safe:

  • Do not click on any links or attachments within a suspicious email or text
  • Do not input any personal or account information
  • Delete the text or email after reporting it

Congratulations are in order for Pharrell Williams and his wife Helen Lasichanh, who are now the proud parents of TRIPLETS.

According to Vanity Fair, who the Happy singer and Helen exclusively confirmed the news to, they welcomed their three children earlier this month.

Neither the gender nor the names of the infants have been released, but it is being reported that mother and babies are all "happy and healthy".

The couple confirmed they were expecting when Helen flaunted her bump at the Chanel's No 5 L'Eau fragrance celebration in September.

However, they kept the fact that they were having multiples under wraps.

Pharrell and Helen, who married in 2013, are already parents to eight-year-old Rocket.

Aw, congrats to the couple.

While we haven’t made it to ‘bare-leg’ season just yet (and who’s to say we ever will?), there are few among us who haven’t – at some point – experienced the dreaded strawberry leg after deciding to showcase our pins in warm weather.

Dubbed the ‘strawberry leg’ due to its resemblance to the fruit, the skin on our legs can develop small red dots after a waxing or shaving session, but not many of us know exactly why.

Well, wonder no more, ladies.

According to those in the know, the pores on our legs widen and fill with oil during hair removal which attracts bacteria and dead skin cells.

When they begin to oxidise, the pores turn a darker colour and before we know it, we’re sporting a pair of ‘strawberry legs’.

Speaking to Byrdie, makeup artist, Carly Hobbs, insists that there is one handy hint which will always help conceal this.

“You can banish the appearance of pesky pores on your legs by firstly giving them a rinse with cold water – the chill factor encourages them to close.”

Duly noted, Carly.

While Khloé Kardashian has definitely taken centre-stage with her body overhaul in recent years, there's no denying that her older sister, Kourtney, is looking better than ever.

And as she's only dying to share her top tips for staying trim, we're more than happy to listen, especially since she's not advocating a booze-free, clean-living lifestyle which, frankly, we don't know if we could maintain.

Team try too hard. #2017

Taking to her website this week, the mum-of-three reminds us that while alcohol is chock-full of empty calories, that doesn't mean you need to abstain completely.

Unless, of course, you want to.

"Cocktails are often mixed with juice or soda – not only high in calories, but sugar too," she writes. "Aside from drinking too much, the sugar content in drinks is often what accounts for bad hangovers."

"When I do drink, I go for either tequila on the rocks, beer or wine. If you’re cutting down on sugar, it’s good to know that rosé wine usually has less sugar than red or white," she tells her followers.

And while the eldest Kardashian may refuse to give up tequila, the same can't be said for fizzy drinks which she happily waved goodbye to at the beginning of her health and fitness journey.

"I don’t drink soda – ever!” she explains. “I drink a ton of water during the day and I also drink a glass of water mixed with two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar twice a day (in the morning and at night)."

Now, we're on board with the rosé, but vinegar water is a different story.

The Hadid sisters proved they're more than just pretty faces when they joined a protest against Trump's controversial Muslim ban.

The girls took to the streets in New York to denounce Trump's ban on residents of seven Muslim countries entering America.

The Hadid family have close ties with the Muslim community as their dad Mohamed Hadid is Muslim, as is Gigi's boyfriend Zayn Malik.

A photo from the protest showed Gigi and Bella proudly holding a sign which read: "We are all Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Atheists, Christians, Jews."

The supermodel sisters joined a large crowd in Battery Park, shouting: "No hate, no fear, immigrants are welcome here."

And it seems like they aren't the only ones with strong feelings on the subject.

Fellow model Cara Delevinge echoed their sentiments as she posted the following photo from a protest to her Instagram account.

We're glad to see Gigi and Bella are using their influence to stand up for others and defying stereotypes about models while they're at it!

There's no denying that the transition from secondary school to third-level education takes some getting used to.

And while some students thrive in their new environment, countless others struggle to adjust, and ultimately berate themselves for being unable to adapt to their new surroundings.

But according to a recent study, this default response to an apparent failing only serves to perpetuate the feelings of distress many students experience during their first year at university.

Researchers from the University of British Columbia have concluded that students who exhibit higher levels of self-compassion feel more energetic, alive and optimistic during their first year of university.

"Our study suggests the psychological stress students may experience during the transition between high school and university can be mitigated with self-compassion because it enhances the psychological needs of autonomy, competence, and relatedness, which in turn, enriches well-being," explained the study's lead author, Katie Gunnell.

Researchers conclude that for a student to prosper during their first year, it is vital that they avoid negative self-judgement and feelings of inadequacy.

Research shows first-year university is stressful," said co-author and UBC kinesiology professor Peter Crocker.

"Students who are used to getting high grades may be shocked to not do as well in university, feel challenged living away from home, and are often missing important social support they had in high school."

"Self-compassion appears to be an effective strategy or resource to cope with these types of issues," he explained.

By initiating self-compassion exercises which promote self-kindness, students were less likely to be self-critical, and ultimately perform better over the course of their first year in third-level education.

When Jack Dawson slipped beneath the icy waters of the Atlantic in Titanic, more than a few of us questioned whether his death could have been avoided.

And general consensus suggests that if Rose DeWitt Bukater had moved over a few damn inches on her board, the pair of them may have led a long and happy life together.

Unfortunately, James Cameron, the director of the box-office smash isn't with us on that one. But if you think Mr Cameron's opinion on Jack's fate is based on the logistics of the scene, you'd be wrong.

Jack died because, well, that's what the script demanded – simple as.

Speaking to the Daily Beast recently, the renowned director addressed the query into Jack's demise, and it sounds like he's officially done with that particular line of questioning.

"We're gonna go there? Look, it's very, very simple: you read page 147 of the script and it says, 'Jack gets off the board and gives his place to her so that she can survive,' It's that simple," he insisted.

And while James stands by the scene's direction, he does provide fans with an alternate ending.

"His best choice was to keep his upper body out of the water and hope to get pulled out by a boat or something before he died," James reasoned.

But he didn't, and he died.

And it's time to move on with our lives, ladies.

OK, we'll admit that when we first saw this cruise ship festival, visions of people getting langered and falling overboard came to mind.

But, if you dig a little deeper into the festival, it sounds totally insane.

We're so used to basically being in the middle of a bog during a festival over here, so Anchored is going to be a sight for sore (mud-stained) eyes.

With a combo of unreal weather, tropical locations and well, music, Anchored might just change festivals the way we know them.

Because if you're not feeling the music-side of things, take a stroll down the boat where you'll find a Michelin star restaurant, a cinema and even a casino.

The festival takes place on the Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas, which sails from Monaco to Rome, through to Santorini and Mykonos before sailing back to Monaco.

Oh, and did we mention there's a gym, a rock-climbing wall, hot tubs and mini golf to keep you entertained?

We're totally on board with this.

An Instagram page, which is currently memorialising people who lost their battle with AIDS, is gaining considerable traction online this week.

The AIDS Memorial Page allows members of the public to share photographs and memories of loved ones who died from the virus over the course of the last three decades, and there's no denying it makes for heartbreaking reading.

Reminding internet users that their siblings, partners and friends were much, much more than a mere statistic, contributors have given thousands of followers an insight into the people behind the diagnosis.

And here are just some of the posts which have struck a chord with the public over recent days.

"…..a photo of Peter (pictured left) and myself from 2011 (a little over a year before he left this world). This pic was at our 16th anniversary party (Peter always had the amazing tradition of celebrating monthly anniversaries rather than yearly ones…so actually this was our 192nd anniversary!) …. I recommit to Pete's spirit of never being silent, always being an advocate, always speaking truth to power. Even in his deepest, darkest days of depression, even when confined to institutions, Pete knew that making noise in the face of injustice was itself the highest form of social justice. Peter, thanks for your example of always celebrating all forms of diversity and embracing the dignity inherent in all. I'll carry you in my heart and soul as I take to the streets to ensure that we continue to "Lift every voice…." May our lives and actions continue to serve as our strong living memorials to those we lost to AIDS" – by Richard Carrillo #whatisrememberedlives #theaidsmemorial #aidsmemorial #neverforget #endaids

"Springtime #Boston 1985, I was 25 and going to school at #Emerson & working various part time jobs. I came home to find my lover & partner sitting on the steps, with his face in his hands sobbing. I had an uneasy feeling what he was about to tell me. He lifted his head and sobbed that he had indeed he was infected with #HIV. All I could do was hold him, cry together and try to reassure him that somehow we would make it. He confessed, that much of his grief was not only about the terror of losing his life, which he did 6 years later, but also about his fear that he had infected me. I waited all of 9 months to a year to get the courage to get tested. I will never forget the moment the MD told me the news about my infection … #JudyCollins was on the radio singing #SendintheClowns…that song will always be profoundly memorable for me, as if it wasn't already. After the initial shock, horror & depression subsided at 26, I made a vow to live as deeply, purely and passionately as possible with whatever time I had left. I returned to my calling as a #VisualArtist. I was open about my status & became vocal & vigilant at every turn, for ways that we could work as a community of artists and #HIVpositive people, to fight the stigma, shame, misinformation, prejudice, exclusion & negligence we faced. I had my first solo exhibition in a gallery one year after my diagnosis and devoted the exhibition to the philosophical and spiritual ideas & imagery of personal transformation. I can say that after the first couple of years of my infection I began to find ways to frame #HIV as a "blessing" buried in the "beast" of this illness and as a catalyst for growth. There have been many long, lean, hard times, as well as some glorious & peak passages during this 31 year odyssey of both living #HIVpositive & as a working artist. Today at 57 my passion for spiritual focus & living the authentic life of artistry has never been greater!" – by Karlton Johnson #whatisrememberedlives #theaidsmemorial #aidsmemorial #neverforget #neverforget #endaids #karltonjohnsonfineart #inspiredlivingmhs

#Repost @katherinezitterbart ・・・ #TBT Sunday dinner with our dear friend Joel. My twin brother and I were freshmen in high school, IIRC. Joel lived with us after his family #disowned him when he #cameout as #gay. He was the first person I saw deteriorate and die due to complications of #HIV #AIDS. Seeing his emotional suffering at the hand of his family, and the impact of witnessing his decline, are two factors that influenced me towards #activism around #humanrights. This was decades before we had acronyms like #lgbtq. I consider myself #queer, though my strong tendency is to partner with men.
