Yearly Archives: 2016

When you look back on Sex and the City, a lot of questions need to be asked.

For example, how did Carrie afford that NYC apartment with only a weekly/monthly sex column? How did she afford all of those shoes as well?! And how on earth did Kim Cattrall not get her own show?!

After all was said and done with SATC, Kim's character Samantha totally came out on top. Compared to Carrie, Samantha was ahead of her career game, didn't take sh*t from anybody (including guys) and was just an all-round badass.

yes sex and the city agreed yeah agree

So, you can only imagine how excited we were to hear that Kim is in talks to have a SATC spin-off.

Throughout the years there has been numerous rumours of another series, and indeed another movie, but they went away as fast as they came.

However, this time around, Kim gave a little hint on Twitter that this spin-off might actually happen.

After US talk show host, Wendy Williams posted a video on Twitter stating that "reportedly Kim Cattrall is in talks with HBO to reprise her role as Samantha Jones," Kim saw and simply tweeted, "Finger's x'd."

2018 will mark the 20th anniversary of the show, so hopefully this will all work out. Our fingers are definitely crossed.

Tuesdays are known to be a pretty 'meh' day. It's not Monday, so it's not too bad, but it still feels like there's a whole year to go until you reach the weekend again.

So, if you find yourself a bit distracted in work or college today, then head to Amazon to get a giggle.

To celebrate the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the shopping mecca has created some spells – on its homepage.

All you need to do is type your fave spell – we tried Lumos and Reducto – and watch the magic words take control of your screen.

Lumos will turn your screen completely black until a tiny ray of light beams through and Reducto will shatter the glass on your screen (not for real, obvz).

It will only work on its US site, so just log into Amazon.com to experience the magic.

Not too shabby for taking a minute out of your work day, huh?

This Dublin restaurant is hosting a Beyoncé-themed brunch, and frankly, we can't think of anything better.

When members of the public begin expressing concern over a star's Instagram page, you might assume that that particular celebrity is struggling with serious issues.

But when it comes to Hollywood's good girl Lea Michelle, it's a little harder to imagine what might have her fandom up in arms.

And thankfully for the former Glee star, it's nothing more than her liberal use of bronzer before a night out.

No, seriously. And frankly if that's as bad as it gets, we've little to worry about with good ol' Lea.

After sharing a snap of herself alongside two friends on Instagram, Lea was subject to an onslaught of comments from fans concerned about the star's skills in the cosmetic department.

"No no no Lea. You are so beautiful but make sure you blend," wrote one follower. "It's only because we care about you."

"Too much contour, kill contour," added another while someone else remarked: "Not a great job on your contouring this time around. Usually you do much better."

Ah lads, if that's her biggest problem…

“I texted Ellen and I was like, 'What do you think?' She was like, 'I hate it. I think it's a terrible name,” the Maroon 5 frontman said.

“I was like, 'Cool.' She gave me like five names to think about: This, this, this, this, Dusty. You basically named my kid."

A New York woman is filing a law suit against Zara after she discovered a rat sewn into the hem of her dress.

Cailey Fiesel purchased the LBD back in July, and noticed a pungent emitting from it on its' first wear in August.

"Despite getting up from her desk and walking around, she was unable to escape the odour,” says her Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.

Struggling to locate the source of the smell as she sat at her work desk, Fiesel then felt what she thought was a loose string on the hem of the garment.

On closer inspection, Fiesel allegedly discovered that the irritating thread was actually the paw of a decomposing rodent, with the rest of its' body sewn into the dresses hem.

Fiesel then developed a rash on her body, which doctors allege to be caused by a "rodent-borne disease."

According to her law suit, Fiesel is also suffering from "emotional distress" after the incident.

“I froze — I was paralysed with fear,” Fiesel told The New York Post.

"Zara USA is aware of the suit, and we are investigating the matter further. Zara USA has stringent health and safety standards, and we are committed to ensuring that all of our products meet these rigorous requirements" a spokesperson told TMZ.

After coming first in Britain's Got Talent as part of musical theatre group Collabro back in 2014, Richard Hadfield stunned fans when he decided to leave the group earlier this year.

But, by the looks of things, the decision has done wonders for his physical and emotional wellbeing after it was today revealed that the singer has shed almost four stone in four months.

Richard was the victim of cruel jibes from members of the public curing his time with Collabro, but instead of internalising the comments, Richard made the decision to focus on his health and couldn't be happier with the results.

"Being free from the band really sparked my weight loss," he admitted. "I had been unhappy for a long time and comfort ate to escape my misery."

"My weight sky rocketed up to 18st 3lbs and I was clinically obese with 30% body fat. I started being known as the 'fat one' in the band. It really hit me hard."

"I have gone from obese to athlete in four months and lost the weight of a small child," he said of his transformation.

In addition to including Forza supplements in his diet, Richard has devoted much time to a gym routine which he regularly documents on Instagram.

"I would go to the gym to do weighted resistance work three times a week and then every other day I would do a 12 minute HIIT (high intensity interval training) work-out," he explained.

"So many people think you need to run on the treadmill for hours on end but it's just not the case."

Sounding incredibly excited about his future, Richard is now focusing on his solo career.

"It's about time we had another Brit on the jazz scene," he said. "I think I can bring something new to the table."

Richard is currently writing his first solo album and is performing his first solo show a in London.

Fair play, Richard!

On the back of accidentally exposing his newborn’s gender to the world, Ryan Reynolds has revealed the moment he knew Blake Lively was the one.

Speaking to GQ magazine, the Deadpool star suggested his relationship with the Gossip Girl actress reached new heights following their first shared sexual experience.

When asked to pinpoint the moment he “knew it was going to happen” with Blake, the 40-year-old Canadian quipped: “Probably after the sex.”

Following his joke, the father of two recounted the real moment he fell for his second wife and, in true Ryan Reynolds style, the story has placed him and Blake right at the pinnacle of the #CoupleGoals ladder.

“We were hanging out at this little restaurant in Tribeca that's open really late, and this song came on and I was just like, ‘Want to dance?’” he recalled.

“No one was in there, so it was just totally empty.  And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, ‘Oh, I think I just crossed a line.’”

“And then I walked her home…And, uh, you know, I don't really need to go into what happened after that.”

Tensions in the United States have been high since Donald Trump officially became the 45th president of the United States last week.

While Clinton campaigners are lamenting Hillary's loss and Trump supporters are rejoicing in his triumph, two women in high profile positions in West Virginia have turned their attention to the current and future First Lady of the United States.

Taking to social media, Clay County Development director Pamela Ramsey Taylor made her feelings for Michelle Obama clear in a move which may result in her losing her job.

"It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady in the White House. I'm tired of seeing a ape in heels," she wrote in reference to Michelle Obama's eight years in the White House.

Supporting her colleague's feelings, Clay's mayor Beverly Whaling responded in a move which beggars belief, writing: "Just made my day Pam."

Unsurprisingly, the Facebook post which has since been deleted has sparked outrage among countless people in the States.

Commenting on the controversy, Owens Brown, director of the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People's West Virginia chapter, insist the post is an accurate representation of many peoples' attitudes in the State.

"I feel so it's unfortunate that people still have these racist undertones," Mr Brown said. "Unfortunately, this is a reality that we are dealing with in America today. There's no place for these types of attitudes in our state."
