Yearly Archives: 2016

We know that many singers have weird music videos, and it's their artistic right to do whatever they want… but when it comes to Jedward's latest track, Hologram, and video, we're just not getting it.

It's not the story we're confused about, it's the way it was filmed – as in, it kinda looks like they just stepped out of Transition Year in 2008 and this is their final year project. Too harsh?!

The style changes from dark and moody backdrops to a white, crisp forest and then to flashing lights.

And the lads' hair follows suit…

The dance track is much more sombre than their usual stuff, but knowing John and Edward's fans, they'll love it either way.

Pringles is one of our favourite snacks, but we're used to the savoury versions of Sour Cream & Onion and Salt & Vinegar.

But this Christmas season, the worldwide brand is coming out with sweet versions, and we don't know whether to be scared or excited.

Making its debut for Chrimbo is Sugar Cookie, Pecan Pie and Salted Caramel.

The Salted Caramel sounds totally divine, but will it be too much of a sweet thang?

However, you might be a little disappointed because by the sound of things, they'll only be rolled out in America this year.

There's always next Christmas, folks!

Gary Beadle has completely confused his fans today by telling them "it's time to hang my boots up" in his latest Daily Star column.

At the beginning of his piece for the site, he wrote: "Two things to tell you before we get stuck into the week's column.

"Firstly, I want to use this opportunity to exclusively announce something I have given an awful lot of thought to.

"I am sad to have to announce my retirement. I have mulled it over and love you all, but it is time to hang my boots up." he said.

“I have had a lot of laughs, gone in on some people and learnt to spread the love, rather than hate. I have grown up a lot. It has been a journey. It has been immense. But it is over.

“Laying in my hospital bed with my fractured knee, I decided it is time to tell you that it is the end and I am going to bow out gracefully.

“What am I talking about? My Daily Star Online column, of course. What did you think? Plenty of life and pranks in me yet. Lolz. Had you wondering then, didn’t I?”

Well, that was a total let down…

A ‘push present’ is one of those new ideas that seems to have blown up in the past few years – not that we’re complaining or anything. Hell, if we have to push a tiny human out of our lady area then we deserve something, right?!

Usually something that is bought by a partner, Blac Chyna was clearly not in the mood to wait around for fiancé Rob Kardashian to pick her up a gift, according to E! news

Taking matters into her own hands, Chyna treated herself to a set of new wheels, and there was not a minivan in sight!

Showing off her very swanky-looking Rolls Royce (in white), the 28-year-old was OBVIOUSLY delighted with her purchase and stood beside it like an absolute BOSS!

Clearly not having learned any lessons from Kim Kardashian’s terrifying incident, her subsequent snap also gave us all a sneak peek of the inside – pink steering wheel and all – and her HUGE diamond ring…

Us jealous? Never…

It's safe to say many of us have had to endure an awkward date or two in the past.

However, sometimes that awkwardness can turn more sinister and we can feel scared or unsafe while meeting with someone we don't really know.

It's never nice to be in that situation, and to be honest, once that panic sets in, all you can think about is running far, far away.

Well, in Lincolnshire in the UK, the council have started a #NoMore campaign to help anyone who is in need of a way out of an uncomfortable situation.

The council and Lincolnshire Rape Crisis have teamed up and put up posters around bars, pubs and clubs in the area which advise people what to do if they're in need of help.

The sign reads: "Hi I'm Angela. Are you on a date that isn't working out? Do you feel like you're not in a safe situation? Is your Tinder or PoF date not who they said they were on their profile? Does it all feel a bit weird?

"If you go to the bar and ask for 'Angela' the bar staff will know you need some help getting out of your situation and will call you a taxi or help you out discreetly – without too much fuss."

A few bars and pubs have already rolled out something similar to this, but Lincolnshire is the first place to spread it across the whole county.

Would you like something like this to be implemented in Ireland?

So we’ve put in the time and rewatched every single episode of Gilmore Girls (there are seven series and 22 episodes in each – it’s a serious commitment) and now all we can do is wait.

*taps feet impatiently*

Yep, we have mere weeks until the 24th of November release of the Netflix reprisal Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and boy have we found the perfect way to get into the GG mood in the meantime.

Bad Bob’s in Temple Bar is holding the Friday Night at the Gilmore’s Roof Party on the 11th, and it’s a veritable Gilmore-fest, with cocktails (there’s one called ‘Rory’), music Lane Kim wouldn’t turn up her nose at, and of course coffee!

And if this wasn’t enough to have you coming over all faint, there’s also a prize for best costume and a chance to cast your vote for the best Gilmore Guy (c’mon now, it’s OBVO Jess).

What’s the betting we’ll roll in and Kirk will be serving drinks behind the bar? High odds we reckon.

Tickets are €11.23 and can be purchased here

From dishing dirt on their exs to taking down Honey G, Little Mix are dominating this week’s headlines.

But just because they’re one of the world’s most popular girl bands, doesn’t mean they’ve escaped the criticism of Twitter’s infamous trolls.

After performing their latest release, Shout Out To My Ex, on The X Factor over the weekend, the girls were hit with a barrage of abuse online for their outfits of choice.

Commenting on the band’s mix of leotards, crop tops and thigh-high boots, social media users asked: “Why do Little Mix have to give in/conform and go for the prostitute look?”

Others suggested that the group “have turned into strippers”.

It felt so good to be home tonight… Where it all started! Thank you @thexfactor as always

When quizzed about the comments on The One Show last night, band member Jesy Nelson defended the stars’ style.

She said: “Our mums are all for it and I think it’s nice that we’re four young girls who are confident in our bodies and want to go out there and rock it.”

“We don’t get told what to wear,” she continued.  “If we want to wear something, we’ll wear it.  And the thing is…no one moans when Beyoncé comes out in a leotard, so what’s the difference with us?”

Leigh-Anne Pinnock suggested that because the girls first entered the entertainment world in their teens, the public sometimes forget that they are now adults.

She said: “Obviously on The X Factor five years ago we looked so young, we didn’t know what we were doing…Now our fashion’s evolved and we’re a bit more daring and we’re very confident in ourselves.  That’s a good thing, no?”

If it’s good enough for Beyoncé, it’s good enough for us.

Holly Hagan only revealed she quit Geordie Shore this week, but that didn't stop her blasting MTV producers in a series of tweets.

Speaking about another reality show she partakes in, Ibiza Weekender, the blonde beauty claimed that the most recent episode was a total set up.

She wrote, "Ibiza weekender when you know the producers have told Ellie to go in the girls room and chat to mug her off even more in the edit #ihatetv."

A fan then replied to her tweet saying, "You mean reality TV isn't real?! Shocking reveal. Talk about biting off the hand that feeds you! You've made ££ from reality TV."

Holly responded, "I'm allowed to have empathy for a situation I've been in. It's not nice to watch. P.S. they barely feed us once a day if we beg."

According to The Sun, the reality star handed in her notice to MTV earlier this month and despite reports, she does not intend to return to the show.

This comes after another cast member, Scotty T, revealed that he won't be on the show much longer, either.

When rumours start about TV show reunions and comebacks, it's easy to be let down and most of the time, it's a long-stretch that everyone from the original will actually return.

But after Lindsay Lohan revealed that she'd be up for a Mean Girls sequel, another actress has come out and said that she's totally on for it too.

Rachel McAdams spoke to E! News yesterday to promote her new movie Doctor Strange, but of course the topic soon changed to Tina Fey and the burn book movie.

When asked if she's interested, Rachel replied, "Sure, I mean, I loved that movie. I love Tina Fey. I love the girls.

"I mean, to get to kind of have a reunion would be… we got to have a reunion at a photo shoot a couple of years ago and it was over like that and it wasn't enough. I was back in it."

And when asked if Regina George would be a mother today, Rach said, "Regina's probably had a few!"

Now all we need it Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert!

Now, we love our food and trying new things here in Shemazing! HQ, BUT a tenner for ONE crisp? You're having a laugh…

A Swedish brewery named St Erik thinks that regular crisps are ruining the taste of their posh beer, so the company made their own, and apparently, they're the "world's most exclusive crisps.

"We felt we were missing a snack of the same status to serve with it. A first class beer deserves a first class snack," St Erik's spokesperson said.

The crisps come in a little black box, in which they are all individually wrapped. They also have five different flavours which include Matsutsake (mushroom), truffle seaweed, crown dill, leksand onion, and India pale ale. The cost? €51.

A video posted by niklasberntzon (@niklasberntzon) on

According to Aterirt, the crisps are so exclusive because the potatoes can only be found in a stony slope which is inaccessible to modern farming machinery.

Only 100 boxes of the snack were made and they're already sold out.

We don't know about you, but those five crisps would be gone in one mouthful.

The Internet has thrown up some peculiar beauty trends in the last few years, but using lube as a primer has to be one of the strangest.

In a new video by YouTuber Hunda Beauty, Hunda Kattan documents the effectiveness of a lubricant, Vagisil, Milk of Magnesia, aftershave balm and olive oil as priming products for makeup.

During the four minute video, the Dubai-based beauty blogger explains that lube is somewhat similar to silicon-based primers, while the feminine anti-itch cream, Vagisil, contains an oil controlling ingredient.

After applying makeup over the products, Hunda found that lube does not make a decent primer (awh!), but Vagisil hydrated her skin, controlled oil and worked well beneath cosmetics.
