Apollo House was taken over by homelessness charity Home Sweet Home last week, and has since been providing food and warm beds to some of Ireland's more vulnerable citizens.

Today, the building waits on the result of a high court hearing, after receivers of the property have ordered the homeless people and volunteers to vacate the building, which has stood empty for almost six years.

The serving of papers came just hours after Glen Hansard, Hozier and members of Kodaline performed at the building to hundreds of people who turned out in support of the "act of civil disobedience."

Now Aungier Danger are stepping up to show their support to the cause by creating their very own Home Sweet Home doughnut.

The batch of delicious pastries will go for €5, and all proceeds will be donated to the Home Sweet Home charity.

Apollo House faces closure as the receivers, who were appointed by NAMA, believe there are serious health and safety concerns about the Tara Street premises and that it is unfit for residential use, according to RTE.

Today the High Court will hear that there are concerns about electricity, sanitation, water and  fire safety, and will decide whether or not to force the occupiers to vacate.

Look, it's a tough world out there, and it helps if you have the Midas touch when it comes to getting people on side, right?

But when our womanly wiles fail (apparently we're meant to have some), and our power of persuasion fall a little short, it's important to have a back-up plan.

And according to a recent study, a few choice words are all you need if you're trying to get certain people on the same page as you.

Conducting an experiment of over 600 people, Nicolas Guéguen, a behavioural scientist, concluded that the words 'You will probably refuse, but' work wonders when it comes to persuading people to do something.

Splitting his participants into two groups, the first was asked: "You are probably interested in organisations for children with health problems. I wonder if you could help us by making a donation?"

The second group was asked: "You are probably interested in organisations for children with health problems. You will probably refuse, but I wonder if you could help us by making a donation?"

The researcher established that those who were met with the words' You will probably refuse, but' were more likely to delve deep than those who weren't,

Results confirmed that of the group who were asked the second question, 39.1 per cent donated in comparison to 25 per cent in the first group.

So, it looks like a little bit of reverse psychology goes a long way.

Joy Clothing is under fire this week after an email newsletter sent out to all of their customers was branded as sexist.

People are outraged by the retailer, who have more than 25 stores across the UK, as the comments in the email are seen as outdated and from "the 1950s."

The newsletter, entitled "Meet The Parents" is all about covering up on Christmas Day to please the whims of your boyfriend's (or "little prince's") parents.

"Show your boyfriend's Mum you're the girl to take care of her little prince in beautiful dresses that scream marriage material," reads the email.

"Knee length skirts exude class while respectable necklines mean Father-In-Law won't have a heart attack when you lean across the table for a second helping of roast potatoes."

The email is under fire, with many customers taking to Twitter and Facebook to slate the brand.

"Try to refrain from blasting out your 1950s heteronormative advertising for 2017. You might win a few more customers," said one angry customer.

"Also, if anyone's partner's dad is ogling their boobs over dinner, punch him square in the nose and take that meal to go."

The brand told the Daily Mail: “We acknowledge that we missed the mark with our phrasing and apologise deeply to all our customers who feel offended, as this was certainly not our intention. We treasure and value our customers greatly.”

While fans of former TOWIE star, Lauren Pope, are still obsessing over her burgeoning romance with Geordie Shore star, Aaron Chalmers, it sounds like public speculation over her new relationship is the least of Lauren's concerns.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the 24-year-old revealed she has been the target of online harassment, and despite seeking the advice and protection of the police, she is no closer to learning the identity of her stalker.

‘I’m basically being stalked. I’ve been to the police and they’re not doing anything," she claimed.

Outlining the lengths this individual has gone to in order to unsettle the reality star, she continued: "This guy has posted pictures outside my house, they’ve posted my parents’ address, my family’s names, they’ve threatened to stab me and the police do nothing."

Worryingly, Lauren doesn''t appear to be his only victim as Lauren told the publication in a candid interview.

"I had about four or five different glamour girls that DM’d me saying, ‘I think I’m being trolled by the same person.’ We all kind of chatted on WhatsApp and sent each other screen grabs and it’s definitely the same guy because it’s the same grammar and words."

Despite contacting Twitter to report the harassment, the social media site have reportedly done little to help her.

"The last few times Twitter has come back and said that the person hasn’t violated the terms and conditions and bearing in mind this person is calling me horrific things. It’s a joke."

Acknowledging that it costs the police force approximately £10,000 to track an individual accused of stalking, Lauren has resigned herself to the notion that the budget simply isn't there.

And she sure as hell isn't gong to fork out the funds herself, she insists.

"You can go and do it yourself but as if I’m going to pay £10,000 to find out who some loser is who’s probably sat in his lounge masturbating and listening to nothing. He’s a weirdo."

A drunken Katie Price reportedly caused quite a scene by walking around topless at the EnergySave Christmas party on Monday night.

The star was paid £13,000 to host the event, but ended up drunkenly embarrassing herself on the night by discussing her kids and romantic life in a speech.

"I love all my kids, even though Harvey… anyway. Whatever," the star said.

Harvey, aged 15, suffers from rare genetic condition called Prader-Willi syndrome, as well as autism, ADHD and blindness.

The former glamour model also slurred her words are swore throughout the speech, as well as breaking into song.

The star stripped off in the toilets and walked around in just a thong and knee high boots. The NSFW images and videos have made their way onto YouTube and Twitter.

She also confessed her love for her ex Dane Bowers, saying he was "the love of her life."

"My ex-boyfriend actually got me the job tonight, Dane Bowers, the love of my life," she declared.

She then kept things classy by allegedly telling the room that he once gave her a "toe job."

Katie was drunk on arrival and attempted to seduce the company's managing director Mr Jason Rowan, one party attendee told The Sun.

“She was outrageous. She blew her nose on a tablecloth thinking it was a napkin and grabbed Mr Rowan’s leg under the table.

“She asked him if he was going to sleep with her or his wife and Mrs Rowan was furious and gave her a piece of her mind.”

We can't imagine the fear Katie woke up with the next morning…

We're total suckers for a romcom here at SHEmazing! HQ, so to hear that one played out in real-time over Twitter is as good as it gets for us, frankly.

It all kicked off when a guy in a Brooklyn café realised he was witnessing the first flush of love between two of its staff members, and did what any die-hard romantic in the 21st century would do – he got on Twitter and began typing the hell out of it.

In a series of posts which had the Twitosphere on the edge of their seats, Jerry let us in on what must be the sweetest little story we've heard since Sam declared his love for Cici.

Ladies, does it get any cuter than this?!

Emojis have officially become a form of expression in themselves.

That passive aggressive message to your housemate about the fact that they forgot to buy milk again? Suddenly made OK by a laughing face emoji.

Want to hit the town with your bestie? The flamenco dancer girl, the clinking pints emoji and a question mark is all you need.

If you're as obsessed with emojis as we are you will be super curious about the Emoji Movie, hitting our screens (cinema, not phone) in August next year.

While it is a decidedly odd concept for a movie (who ever thought we'd see a movie where a cartoon poop emoji was a lead character?) we're hoping it's good.

The film is set to feature the voice acting talents of James Cordon and  T.J. Miller.

However, the film concept has not received a warm reception on social media.

We'll just have to wait until August to see what it's all about.

Unless you're an absolute pro in the kitchen, it can be pretty daunting having to share the fruits of your labour with your workmates.

And it's even worse when you have to do it on live TV, and know, deep-down, that you've made an absolute b*lls of it.

So props to Global News' Leslie Horton who surged ahead and doled out hearty helpings of artichoke dip to a trio of colleagues who looked far from impressed with Leslie's contribution to the office Christmas task.

After squirming and questioning the smell and consistency of the gooey mess, Leslie's workmates eventually tucked in… and we've been laughing ever since.

We'll let them take it from here.

It seems that the Kardashians have finally had enough of the Rob/Chyna drama.

According to one source, momager Kris and the Kardashian sisters are begging Rob to end things with his fiancee.

“They don’t support the relationship,” a source told People.

“At least some of his family members want Rob to split up with Chyna so they can say, ‘We told you so Rob. You deserve better.’'

"But Rob won’t listen to them. He wants to be with Chyna.”

Rob Kardashian was apparently left heartbroken when Blac Chyna allegedly walked out on him with their daughter Dream after a vicious social media hacker infiltrated her Instagram messages.

However, it turned out that Rob Kardashian was behind the scandal and the hack, admitting it all in a telling Instagram picture.

"This weekend I was in an emotional bad place and did some things that embarrassed myself and my family. I apologise and I'm seeking help to deal with my flaws/issues. Please pray for me and I'm sorry @blacchyna. You are a great mother to our child and I love you," said the star.

Since the messages were posted, Chyna took to social media to say: "I’M DONE. This entire year I have done nothing but help Rob! It’s so SAD & PATHETIC how low he’d stoop to cover up HIS PERSONAL ISSUES!"

"Those Messages OLD AF! He only did this because when he went through my phone he couldn’t find anything to be mad about!"

Judging by Chyna's statements, we're not sure if the Kardashians have to worry about them getting back together any time soon.

According to reports emerging Stateside, a number of staff members at the UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles have been fired after attempting to access data on Kanye West.

The rapper, who was admitted to hospital for sleep deprivation and exhaustion last month, is at the centre of another media storm this week after it was revealed that UCLA staff members had been dismissed for breaching protocol.

According to TMZ, staff at the well-known treatment centre became curious after the star's admission and made an attempt to access the rapper's records.

Commenting on the matter, a source told TMZ: "Kanye’s West stay at UCLA Med Center had some staffers hunting for medical info, according to multiple people at the facility."

"A slew of people couldn’t resist attempting to look at his info in the computer," the source added.

While reports are at this stage are conflicting, it has been suggested that up to a dozen staff members breached protocol during Kanye's nine-day hospital stay.

Girls writer and actress Lena Dunham is known for her staunch feminist stance and relatable humour.

However, the star recently made a comment about abortion that didn't go down too well.

Speaking on her podcast Women Of The Hour, she said: "I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had.”

On the podcast segment, Lena was discussing time when she went to a Planned Parenthood clinic and was asked to share her experiences on abortion.

“I sort of jumped. ‘I haven’t had an abortion,’ I told her. I wanted to make it really clear to her that, as much as I was going out and fighting for other women’s options, I myself had never had an abortion,” she recalled.

“And I realised then that even I was carrying within myself stigma around this issue. Even I, the woman who cares as much as anybody about a woman’s right to choose, felt that it was important that people know that I was unblemished in this department.”

Listeners were quick to criticise the obvious offensiveness of the comedian's statements, which could be perceived as very hurtful to women who have gone through an abortion.

Twitter users also slated the star for aligning herself with the pro-choice movement, as her comments do not represent their views.

"Please don't mistake Lena Dunham's comment as pro-choice. What she said was pro-abortion which, until she said it, was not an actual thing," said one.

Her comments were branded "insensitive and ignorant" by others.

The writer then took to Instagram to apologise for her comments.

"I would never, ever intentionally trivialise the emotional and physical challenges of terminating a pregnancy. My only goal is to increase awareness and decrease stigma."

The star admitted that she had "messed up" and in attempt to make up for it, gave a "sizeable donation" to a pro-choice fund.

Receivers appointed over Apollo House in Dublin City have launched High Court action aimed at regaining possession of the property and vacating the current residents.

The Apollo House office building, which previously stood empty, is currently being occupied by the Home Sweet Home coalition of housing activists and homeless people.

The building is currently operating to capacity, and provides food and shelter to those in need.

Last night, a notice of eviction was tied to the gates of the building, requesting that the current residents vacate the premises.

The receivers, who were appointed by NAMA, believe there are serious health and safety concerns about the Tara Street premises and that it is unfit for residential use, according to RTE.

Today the High Court will hear that there are concerns about electricity, sanitation, water and  fire safety, and will decide whether or not to force the occupiers to vacate.

The serving of papers came just hours after Glen Hansard, Hozier and members of Kodaline performed at the building to hundreds of people who turned out in support of the "act of civil disobedience."

The building is set for demolition in the new year, as it is part of a €50,000,000 plan of redevelopment for the area.
