Sales of neon-coloured clothes have been climbing ever since Queen Elizabeth II made a striking statement in neon pink and green colours at her official birthday appearances two weeks ago.

Since the events, high street retailer JD Williams has reported a 134% increase in sales of bright green clothes, with one green dress in particular selling seven times faster than usual.

A spokesperson for the store told the Telegraph: “The Queen is a great example of fashion without age limits, wearing neon brights is usually associated with 20-somethings but she has mastered the trend effortlessly.”

“Our customers are clearly cottoning on and showing that you can wear the latest trends no matter what your age.”

Bright pink clothing sales are also experiencing a boost of 107% after the Queen stepped out in a top-to-toe fuchsia ensemble – with matching pink lipstick – at the Patron’s Lunch.

And according to Marie Claire Her Majesty’s stylish efforts didn’t go unnoticed on Twitter either as minutes after making her colourful birthday entrance the tags #neonat90 and #highvishighness began to circulate.

At this stage the Royals are well known to be pretty powerful trend setters with Kate Middleton constantly influencing what’s considered fashionable and earlier this year even Prince George managed to sell out a bathrobe.

With being so fashion forward and all, we wonder what her Royal Highness would think of Judi Dench’s new tattoo?

Let's be honest, we're all giving our own opinions on Taylor Swift's new relationship with Tom Hiddleston.

Maybe some of us are right, or maybe we're all wrong – it's only Tay and Tom that truly know what's going on.

However, one of Taylor's friends, Ruby Rose has made a very passionate speech about the new romance, and took to Instagram to share her thoughts with her fans.

She began by writing: "I feel like this is the mentality fans have on celebrity relationships.. I get it that they invest in couples and root for them and it's sweet, but that relationship is still only between two people.

"If the relationship ends why do people assume something happened or someone is to blame? Why do they think they know anything about the relationship to be able to make a better call than those in it?"

I feel like this is the mentality fans have on celebrity relationships.. I get it that they invest in couples and root for them and it's sweet, but that relationship is still only between two people. If the relationship ends why do people assume something happened or someone is to blame? Why do they think they know anything about the relationship to be able to make a better call than those in it? Love is a beautiful thing. Some love one person their whole life, others love many, some never find love, and sadly some get so hurt so many times they get broken and stop looking. So if a woman moves on from a relationship 8 months ( or 2 weeks ) after a breakup isn't that beautiful? That someone can still continue to open their hearts to people despite times in their lives I'm sure it's been broken.. It's not an insult to every ex they have ever had…new love never erases old love. It's a separate thing, a new entity. You can't change the people you loved just be glad you loved at all they are all lessons and memories and make up our life story. I personally respect all of the people who never get jaded, who always love with their whole hearts. Over and over and I think it's twisted that we shame women for opening their hearts or label it as a weakness when in reality it's one of the scariest things to do. Date who you want, love who you want, love is the most valuable thing in the world and nothing comes remotely close to its significance during our time on this planet. So next time you want to tell me who I should be with or who anyone should be with… Maybe just use that energy to find your love. Because trust me.. We are adults and we know how to follow our hearts.

Ruby then finished off her post by saying: "So next time you want to tell me who I should be with or who anyone should be with… Maybe just use that energy to find your love. Because trust me.. We are adults and we know how to follow our hearts."

Even though there are many rumours surrounding Tom and Taylor's relationship, we think Ruby has a fair point.

Irish band Kodaline got a nice surprise this morning when Paris Jackson revealed to the world that she is a fan of their work.

Earlier today The King of Pop’s daughter tweeted the word “fricK” with a screenshot of the band’s debut album In a Perfect World.

And being the gents that they are Kodaline replied “thank you, glad you like the tune” with a kissy face emoji.  Awh!

18-year-old Paris currently has more than 1.2 million followers on Twitter and over half a million on Instagram.

The teen regularly uses her social media accounts to discuss social issue and defend her late father.

With hits like High Hopes we're not surprised that Paris is a fan, but it sure was nice of her to let the lads know.

It's safe to say we all remember the genuine FEAR we felt back in 2002 when we first set eyes on Samara, the demon child from The Ring.

Daveigh Chase, now 25, was cast in the early noughties to play Samara Morgan in a remake of The Ring, alongside Naomi Watts and Gore Verbinkski.

Samara became a household figure as one of the scariest characters of all time, with Daveigh even winning an MTV award in 2003 for Best Villain.

Anyone else recall being petrified when Samara started crawling out of the television soaking wet? We have NEVER looked at a screen the same way since.

Daveigh has certainly come a long way since her demon days, now sporting a glowing complexion and beautiful blond locks.

We cannot believe this beauty once played a black haired devil-child.

Oh, and did we mention that Daveigh Chase did the voice for Lilo, in the 2002 animated movie Lilo and Stitch?

Talk about walking a fine line between childhood nightmare and childhood fantasy-fest.

Daveigh, who has a whopping 40,000 followers on Instagram, is still acting in film and television, and if her Insta page is anything to go by, this gal is all about her four-legged friends – A woman after our own hearts, obvs.

Over a year after the tragic death of Dublin teenager, Ana Hick, a coroner has recorded her death as 'death by misadventure'.

An inquest into Ana's passing heard that the Dun Laoghaire teen had taken three ecstasy pills before becoming ill outside the Twister Pepper nightclub on Middle Abbey Street last summer.

Witnesses testified that Ana has been 'on a good buzz' before her condition ultimately deteriorated and she collapsed on the city-centre street in May of last year.

According to 98FM, the inquest heard that Ana's lips turned blue and her eyes rolled to the back of her head before her legs gave way beneath her.

While reports initially circulated that Ana had fallen victim to a contaminated batch of drugs, officials dismissed this and confirmed that the Dublin teen had had abnormally high levels of MDMA in her system.

The Twisted Pepper closed its door late last summer before reopening as WigWam.

Lads, we don't think we could handle another public transport strike.

Drivers at Dublin Bus are now seeking the same pay increase that their Luas counterparts received.

Following what seemed like a million strikes by Luas drivers this year, Dublin Bus drivers are heading to the Labour Court today to fight for a pay rise, since they haven't received one since 2008.

They will also argue that drivers have agreed and implemented many re-structural plans over the past few years and the company has seen "steady increases" to annual revenue and passenger numbers.

John Murphy, SIPTU's organiser said: "The pay claim by our members in Dublin Bus envisages the creation of an agreement with a three-year duration that includes annual pay increases.

"Such an agreement should be in-line with the deal negotiated by SIPTU representatives for our members working on the Luas light rail network that, we believe, sets the standard for transport workers in Ireland.

"Taking into account the productivity increases achieved and wage restraint shown over the last eight years, our members in Dublin Bus are calling for pay rises to be granted that are not dependant on the implementation of any further cost saving measures," he added.

Hopefully they can sort it all out quick and handy and we won't be hit with another public transport strike.

We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day especially if you want to shed some lbs, but a steak for breakfast?

We're feeling bloated just imagining the food coma on the morning commute after that one, but according to Caroline Flack this approach has helped her shed some serious weight.

The former X Factor presenter insists that her trimmer frame is down to consuming more calories and says a large breakfast is the only way to go.

"I’m always starving in the morning so I eat a lot for breakfast it’s usually scrambled or poached eggs, bacon, avocado, mushrooms or sometimes even steak," she tells Your Fitness magazine.

The 36-year-old admits that she hasn't always been comfortable with her shape and simply wanted to do something about it, explaining: "Whenever I’ve worn bikinis in the past I’ve always thrown a vest over the top, especially if there’s a lot of people around the pool."

Explaining that excluding sugar from her diet yielded the most obvious results, Caroline continued: "I’m consuming more calories now than ever before, they’re just the right calories. What made the biggest difference to how I looked and felt was cutting out all sugar."

Like many of us gals, the free wight area of the gym was Caroline's Everest, but she says biting the bullet and getting stuck in has worked wonders for her.

"I work out three times a week and used to feel really intimidated entering the free weights area but now I feel comfortable," she said. “I’ve been lifting heavy weights for 14 weeks and I haven’t become any bigger.”

The Sunday Morning Breakfast co-presenter sees the approach as a lifestyle overhaul, insisting: "The truth is I did this for me to make myself feel the very best I could and this is the way I decided to do it."

How fab does she look?!

Rita Ora was taken into hospital last night, with sources telling the Mail Online that she "has been working solidly for the past few months."

Just days before, Rita was in court for the sentencing of an intruder to her home, who stole up to £200,000 worth of goods.

Following a busy past few days, the Hot Right Now singer took to Twitter to share a snap of her lying in a hospital bed with a drip in her arm.

She captioned the post: "Today was pretty tough but I'm getting through it thank you to all of you for the support! I love you!! #exhaustionisreal."

The insider revealed: "Yes, she was exhausted – a result of not having a break. She's been working solidly for the last few months and then when she can she parties.

"Over the last few months she has been flying back and forth between Vancouver and LA – on 50 Shades set in Vancouver and then recording studio in LA."

The source added: "She then flew to the UK for the court trial and then went to Glastonbury for a few days partying and then came back on Monday and shot a two day campaign in London this Tuesday and Wednesday."

We hope she's feeling better now!

What do you get an 81-year-old for her birthday? A nice cardigan? Perhaps a scented candle? No, you get her a tattoo, OBVIOUSLY.

Dame Judi Dench took her birthday celebrations to the next level, through a particularly daring gift from her daughter, Finty.

The James Bond actress, who turned 81 in December, recently revealed a tattoo of the words 'Carpe Diem' on her right wrist.

Judi told the Mail Online ‘That’s my motto: “Seize the day”. Finty gave it to me for my 81st birthday – she’s wonderful with surprises.'

Dame Judi spoke to Good Housekeeping in 2015, and expressed her interest in getting permanently inked saying: ‘I am tempted to have a tattoo to mark my birthday. Finty’s very keen on me having one.'

The Oscar-winner went on to tell the Mail Online that her tat is not all she has planned in her bid to stay young.

‘I have macular degeneration, which means treatment every six weeks, but you just have to settle for it. It's ridiculous, it's a farce, but I am not going to give in.' Good woman!

Judi Dench is currently in the middle of filming for her new role in upcoming feature film Victoria and Abdul.

Keep doing your thing Judi, you're bloody fantastic!

Panicked and on the verge of a weekend away, all too many times before we've dropped a serious wad of cash on travel-sized toiletries.

Mad, blind dash around Boots the night before our flight? Yup, that'll be us. Shovelling items into our trolley as we navigate Tesco fours hours before the gate closes? Guilty as charged.

And while this GORGEOUS new range from Lidl might not help you get any more organised, it's certainly a lot easier on your holiday pocket.

The supermarket's mini provitamin shampoo is a mere 79c for 50ml. A mini toothpaste is 49c and a 100ml volume hairspray is 89c. For the lads, there is a 75ml shaving foam for 79c and a 50ml 2-in-1 sports shower gel also for 79c.

Airport security-friendly body lotion, hand cream, lipbalm and deodorant is all available too and nothing costs more than a euro.

The range has already landed in select Lidl stores, but it's being rolled out nationwide shortly.
