Ah McDonalds, a fine institution of all things fine dining.

Ok fine, the fast food chain are not exactly serving caviar, but really it’s only going to be a matter time.

After introducing 48-piece McNugget meals to the menu in Japan (we’re not even kidding), we feel like it is just a matter of time before that gourmet menu loses the run of itself altogether.

It seems like sushi fanatics are already pushing for an interesting twist on some McDonald’s staples.

In a YouTube video, the Miami-based sushi chef Hiroyuki Terada creates futomaki using a McDonald's Big Mac. The concept is absolutely ridiculous, but we'd be lying if we said we didn't want to try it.

Thank you America, you have given us yet another reason to head to the golden arch.

First, Hiroyuki cuts each bun in half horizontally to make them thin enough to form a replacement for the seaweed that typically holds everything together in a sushi roll. He then presses them together to form a thin sheet of bread.

After carefully arranging all of the Big Mac ingredients, plus some avocado, tomato, fresh herbs, spicy mayo and, of course, the iconic skinny cut chips, he rolls up his creation, unveiling a tightly curled Big Mac sushi roll.

Then he cuts them into bite-size portions and arranges them on a plate in such a fashion that we can practically hear the Instagram likes rapidly accumulating.

So, to recap: Americans are making Big Mac sushi and Japanese nugget fans are living the dream of 48 piece McNugget buckets, meanwhile we are sitting over here dreaming of the day the all-day breakfast menu reaches our shores.

To be fair, the 48 piece deal is for a limited time only, but at least Japanese fans get the opportunity to experience the McNugget bucket.

Over the weekend, for perhaps the first time in the history of the Internet (although not Irish internet) meteorologist fashion took over everything.

One woman posted an Amazon link to an inexpensive, brightly coloured dress in a Facebook group for female TV meteorologists about a month ago. Yes, these types of Facebook groups exist… now that we know it is all we can think about.

Is Jean a member?

Since then, weather broadcasters all over the US have been buying this magical dress. Now, meteorologists on Twitter are talking about the Sisterhood of the Travelling Dress.

The dress costs around €20 on Amazon and €57 straight from the vendor, Homeyee, a China-based the e-commerce site whose website is full of “lorem ipsum” text and some interesting translations.

Meteorologists are hungry for fashion recommendations, apparently.

Their profession require clothes that are comfortable enough to move around in and fancy enough to be seen wearing on the telly. Which is fair enough really when you think of how many times you have heard people pass comment on ‘that one from the weather’s’ outfit of the day.

“Sometimes what to wear is biggest stress of my job,” the Weather Channel’s Jen Carfagno told Slate. “Don't look too old, or too young. Too tight will make you look like ready for the dance club.”

“Too baggy will make you look frumpy. Black every day is boring. Patterns are tough with the lights and camera.

"Staying wrinkle-free is tough. How many styles of red dresses are there anyway?”

We are exhausted just thinking about it, to be honest.

The appeal of this dress is not just the flattering cut that many meteorologists are raving about – it also have the perfect neckline for pinning a mic on to.

Practical, flattering and cheap!

The holy trinity of dresses basically. We understand the internet obsession now. When can we get one?

So, have you ever wondered how you would react if you actually got to meet Beyoncé?

We reckon there could be tears, she is a pretty big deal after all. When you add Jay-Z to the scenario then you’re even more likely to be rendered star struck and speechless.

To be honest, we get a little bit uncomfortable just imagining the awkward moment that would undoubtedly unfold because no one is that cool. If you are then kudos to you but we reckon most of us would panic.

Which is exactly what happened to UFC champ Holly Holm. You would think the person that defeated the previous champ (and internet favourit) Ronda Rousey would keep it together.

Alas no one is safe from suffering mortification when confronted with the magical being that is Beyoncé.

“I meet Jay Z and he says, ‘This is my wife,’ and I’m like, ‘Oh, hi, what’s your name?’ Because that’s what I do when I meet someone’s wife,” Holly explained to KRQE in Albuquerque.

“And as I’m shaking her hand, I’m thinking, ‘Why did I just say that? Why did I just say that to Beyoncé?’”

Holly was a VIP viewing party for a boxing match when she and her husband got the chance to rub shoulders with the mega-stars.

“I can’t even focus on what he’s saying because I just put my foot in my mouth,” she explained.

“I literally have to interrupt him. I’m like, ‘I’m really sorry,’ and I go back to Beyoncé and I’m like, ‘I can’t believe I just did that.’ She goes, ‘Oh no, it’s fine.’ I’m like, ‘No, I really, really…it’s such an honour to meet you.’”

Awks. It happens to the best of us Holly, don’t even worry about it gal.

Back when we were kids, the threat of getting a lump of coal from Santa was always hanging over us, but kids these days are even worse off.

A website in the UK has figured out whether kids are on Santa’s naughty or nice list, all judging by their first name. Many schools over there hand out personalised stickers as rewards for good behaviour, with each child are encouraged to log their new stickers on the School Stickers site.

The company has started something of a "tradition" of figuring out the naughtiest and nicest kids' names each year, all judging by how many stickers each child logged.

Grace, Mia, Ella, Lily and Anna are all on Santa’s nice list as they’ve gotten the most stickers this year, along with Harry, Ryan, Ben, Adam and Dylan.

But if your name is Leah, Holly, Chloe, Olivia or Abigail, you might need to pull your socks up, as do James, Josh, Luke, Sam and Daniel.

With this year's list in mind, we've rounded up some of the celebs who will (and won't) be getting that lump of coal this year.

Naughty celebs

Holly Hagan
Santa won't be coming to the Geordie Shore house

Owen Wilson
Even A-listers get a lump of coal sometimes

Prince George
Funnily enough, we don't see Charlotte on there…

Nice celebs

Harry Styles
Gigi Hadid doesn't agree…

Millie Mackintosh
We reckon she'll be asking for some new fitness gear

Ellie Goulding
Weirdly though, Eleanor is on the naughty list.

Pizza is a great thing! People love pizza so much they created perfectly pizza slice shaped pockets to carry it around with them wherever they go.

Cold pizza might not be the thing that dreams are made of, but you can't deny this is a sign that our collective obsession with the food is here to stay.

Unfortunately too much of it can be a not so great thing, as much as we try to convince ourselves otherwise.

We often hear people saying that they’re trying to cut out the amount of carbs they consume. What they should be more concerned about is eating the right type of carbohydrates.

So, if you are trying to leave the stodgy carbs behind but have suddenly become consumed by cravings do not fear.

We found the exact recipe you need.

This pizza has a quinoa crust that is high in protein and fibre, and is also naturally gluten free. So next time you start lusting after some takeaway pizza, you will know what to do.

Ingredients

3/4 cup uncooked quinoa
1/4 cup water, plus more for soaking quinoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Cooking spray

Method

Place the quinoa in a small bowl and cover it with water. Let the quinoa soak overnight or for at least 8 hours. Drain and thoroughly rinse the quinoa (this will prevent any bitterness in the crust). Place the quinoa, 1/4 cup water, baking powder, and salt in the bowl of a food processor. Process until a smooth batter is formed, about 2 minutes, scraping down the sides of the food processor as necessary.

Line an 8 or 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper and then spray the parchment paper with cooking spray. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth.

Bake the crust for 15 minutes at 220 degrees. Remove the parchment paper from under the crust.Flip the crust over and return to the oven for 5-10 more minutes, or until golden and the edges are crispy.

Remove from the oven and add sauce, cheese, and toppings of your choice. Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes,so the cheese is melted and delicious

Cut the pizza into four wedges (or just one giant slice) and enjoy!

Any old Jonas Brothers fans, you better sit down for this one because Joe may have just made our reunion dreams come true.

It's been two years since the band has split up but Nick, Joe and Kevin haven't completely shut the doors on their boyband days.

But we can't get too excited because it's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

“It’s easy to say we’re done and that we’re never doing it again, but then we both look at each other and go, ’We obviously get along,'” Joe told PrideSource.

“And who knows — years from now, we could be like, ’All right, let’s make a record.’ It could easily happen.”

While we can't expect the guys to be writing their fifth album anytime soon, you can expect a Nick and Joe team-up.

“Nick and I have a few ideas to work with other artists who we really like. There are a couple of artists out there that we think are really incredible that we’d like to work together with."

At least that's something!

Charlie Brunton from Cavan is a HUGE Late Late Toy Show fan, so much so, he watches old Toy Show footage on YouTube throughout the whole year.

And it was during one of his recent Toy Show binges that the nine-year-old decided he wanted a job on the RTE show.

His mother, Breege said: "He looked at the muscles on his arms and decided they were definitely ready for that job! When I was rushing out to work one morning he produced a sealed envelope and asked me to write Ryan Tubridy’s address.

"I hastily spelled Donnybrook, Dublin 4 for him and posted it. Every so often he would ask ‘did Ryan Tubridy ring me?’"

His mother didn't expect to get a reply but RTE took one look at Charlie's application and decided that he was exactly the right man for the job and he'll be 'working' behind-the-scenes at the Toy Show this Friday.

Charlie's mam admitted that he was "speechless" when he heard the good news.

"After getting the call I finished work early to pick him up from school to tell him the big news. He was speechless driving home.

"Then the phone calls and messages started and it hasn’t stopped since. He still doesn’t believe he will be on it. He has become a local celebrity. Everyone in our rural parish knows."

The family sit down to watch the Toy Show every year and Charlie's teenage brother are planning a party on the night to celebrate his first day on the job. Well done, Charlie!

It is being reported that two men from Northern Ireland were killed in a workplace accident in Perth, Western Australia.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, the men were both in their 20s and were in Australia on work visas. One was from Co Tyrone and the other was from Co Derry.

Media in Australia reported the men were crushed under at least one concrete panel which fell from a truck as it was being unloaded. The incident is believed to have occurred on a construction site in East Perth at 11.30am local time (3.30am Irish time).

The site was evacuated and the street was closed to allow emergency services access to the scene.

West Australian Newspaper journalist Claire Tyrrell told RTE Radio One's Today the two men are understood to have been on a cigarette break when the incident occurred.

"It is believed the truck, because it was being unloaded, was unbalanced and as a panel was taken off one side, the panel on the other side fell off," she said.

Jaxon Construction, issued a statement offering “heartfelt thoughts and condolences” to the families, loved ones and colleagues of the men.

“We are co-operating fully with the relevant authorities and will make further announcements as additional information becomes available,” the company said. “Site works have been halted until further notice and the site is now in the hands of relevant authorities.”

The construction company, which has been in operation for over 50 years, has never experienced a fatality among its workers.

“Our workforce is grieving and our focus is on supporting the families and those affected. As a mark of respect, and to fully support our employees, all Jaxon sites will be closed tomorrow,” the company said.

A man working in the Grill and Chill restaurant across from the building described seeing the incident happen.

“We started working in the restaurant and then we heard a noise,” Vikas Verma told the West Australian newspaper.

He said he saw a large concrete panel being lifted off the side of a truck by a crane and said it appeared to unbalance the truck, which was holding four slabs on its other side.

“Two slabs fell down onto the ground,” he said. “I saw someone in fluorescent clothing underneath the slabs.”

Inspectors from the state government’s industrial safety body, WorkSafe, are reported to have begun an investigation.

The Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin said it was aware of the case and ready to provide consular assistance.

Globally dubbed the person with the world's most unfortunate name, it has now emerged that one Phuc Dat Bich is not entirely as he seems.

Indeed, despite lamenting that he was constantly being kicked off Facebook for his moniker – not to mention that no one would take him seriously – the man formerly known as Phuc has made a confession: the whole thing was totally fabricated.

Signing off a new online post from 'Joe Carr,' (aka, Joker), the young Australian explained: "What started as a joke between friends, became a prank that made a fool out of the media and brought out the best in the people who reached out to me."

He added: "It goes to show that an Average Joe like myself can con the the biggest news sources," before concluding with: "Continue being the best person you can be and make your mark on the world in whatever way you can – even if it is a simple prank."

The newly-named Mr Carr actually shared his viral post back in January, but it was only picked up by press – at first in Australia, and then globally – a week ago.

He had initially lamented: “I've been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive… Is it because I'm Asian?"

In the aftermath, the man in question was also contacted by Guardian Australia. He told the agency that his real name was Tin Le and that he was 23 and lived in Melbourne, however, he also refused requests for verification.

The rumoured hot new couple were first pictured together as they left a Los Angeles party following the American Music Awards on Sunday.

And now the duo were spotted yet again leaving  well-known Hollywood club, The Nice Guy, last night.

The VS model and former One Direction singer desperately tried to conceal themselves from the paparazzi as they left the venue, with Gigi trying every trick in the book to hide herself.

At one point she is seen trying to cover her face with her hair… and then her phone… and then her bag, but she failed (obvz) as the paps snapped away.

Gigi's sister Bella was also spotted with the pair, but when it was going-home time, Bella was noticeably absent from the car ride home, which left the two love birds alone.

Us Weekly reports that the couple first met back in August as they both attended Kylie Jenner's birthday party – while Gigi was still dating Joe Jonas. We just wonder when they will become public… because it's pretty obvious what's going on!

The Late Late Toy Show airs  this Friday and thus the nation – young and old alike – is consumed by waves of excited nostalgia.

However, amid the talk of toys, celebrity guests and Ryan's jumper (obvz), we're going to embrace our inner Scrooge for a brief moment.

What we are about to do is, of course, akin to treason… but here we bring you the top eight reasons why this year we flat-out refuse to engage in Late Late Toy Show hype.

1. We apply EVERY year, but not once have we scored tickets
Damn you, lottery.

2. We're always a little bit too jealous of the stage school kids
It was acceptable when we were seven, but not so much now. Billie Barry = the dream.

3. Gay Byrne/Pat Kenny never once replied to our requests to be a toy tester
Apparently you have to audition or something.

4. The audience's free gifts unleash uncontrollable levels of jealousy in us
"They ALL get a remote control pet pug?" *throws TV out window*

5. We're on edge with nerves in case one of the toys doesn't work
Those poor four-year-olds (and us), scarred for life.

6. We have unreasonably high expectations after Ed Sheeran appeared last year
All the happy tears.

7. The Toy Show officially signals the beginning of Christmas
Which means we have to start our Christmas shopping. UGH.

8. And plus, there's still nobody who can top John Joe Brennan.
Our favourite future horologist.

At this point we all know that Kylie Jenner is pretty much the queen of social media. We have even heard rumours of people joining Snapchat for no other reason than to keep up with the youngest Kardashian.

Which is hilarious because there is already an Instagram account dedicated to nothing else but the 18-year old’s Snapchat videos anyway.

You would think that considering Kylizzle herself posts several times a day on her own Instagram account that her 43.1million followers would be up to date with her every move.

You would be wrong. Somehow we managed to miss that time Kylie was conducting scientific experiments in her Calabasas mansion.

Did you know she is also a fan of voodoo? Someone better let Tyga know, or are they a couple again

Kylie also enjoys crafting. She’s a huge pottery fan.

The teenager is also quite the craftswoman.

Here she is putting in a new brick wall to increase the property value of her new mega-mansion:

Surprising no one, Kylizzle revealed once that she is an expert level crossword fan.

The @kyliejennerdoesstuff parody account is run by actor Ben Siemon. He is a member of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade in LA, a comedy group where he spends most of his time “playing sassy women characters.”

According to his Tumblr account he also enjoys badly Photoshopped images. We, however, are not complaining.
