Three years ago Charlize adopted her son Jackson from South Africa. This week reports are claiming she took custody of a second child following a six month adoption process.

The Oscar-winner is believed to have officially taken custody of an African-American girl who was born in the U.S.

Reports from TMZ say that in addition to 3-year old Jackson, Charlize has now received custody of the little girl named August.

In the past Charlize has spoken about how she has had a strong desire to adopt since she was a child herself.

The Daily Mail  have noted that she wrote a letter as a young girl that said: "Would you please take me to an orphanage, so that I can go and adopt a baby?"

In May the actress was asked if she would like to have more children and she did not opposed to expanding her family.

“I was never like, 'Oh god no just one.' I was always kind of open to whatever kind of happens.”

The Mad Max star reportedly dumped fiancé Sean Penn, 54, in May.

Although no one seems to know the reason why and the pair certainly looked happy when they appeared on the red carpet together for her film’s premiere on May 14.

This 15-year old has been inspiring people around the world as she bravely battles cancer and shares her journey online.

Katie-Lily Bryant was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is saying that you can find the positive side of even the most negative situations. Her brutally honest account of her treatment includes her account of undergoing chemotherapy.

She says after her diagnosis her main concern was how it would change how she looked:

“Immediately after I was diagnosed, I didn’t think about cancer I just thought about my hair. I knew it would fall out during chemotherapy.”

Katie even went as far as spray tanning her head in efforts to keep things as normal as possible. Now she explains that after losing her hair, she felt more confident than ever before.

“I realised it was a life-threatening disease. If losing my hair and eyebrows keeps me alive I’d rather be bald. I struggled with my confidence before but now I’m so much more confident.” She says: "I am no longer focused on looks… I’ve stopped taking life for granted."

While her doctors are no certain of her prognosis, and she may need a hip replacement later in her life, Katie remains upbeat and takes it all in her stride.

Her blog has become incredibly popular and on it she posts honest insights into her life with cancer and inspires others going through the same experience.

She tries to remind her readers that while appearances seem to be the most important aspect of life that is not true in many cases. While before she was worried losing her brows would be the most difficult part of her illness, Katie says she feels more confident about her looks since undergoing chemo.

She wants people to “just sit down and appreciate everything we have got”.

The faux bob mimics the style of an actual bob, without having to resort to a drastic chop. It’s no surprise then that numerous celebrities are working this look on the red carpet: it’s classic; it’s chic – and it’s great for anyone who is considering going shorter, but would rather give it a trial-run first.

This look is particularly simple and easy to create with the help of the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth range and a few bobby pins/hair grips.

  1. Wash hair the night before using Keratin Smooth Shampoo & Conditioner to help transform hair, leaving it smooth and more manageable for up to 48 hours.
  2. Split the hair into sections and lightly curl with a straightener. Don’t worry if the sections aren’t exactly even.
  3. Next, back comb these sections to create a base for the clips to grip to. Once you are finished back combing, brush the hair through until smooth.
  4. Separate a small bit of hair at the front of the head, and apply TRESemmé Volume & Lift Mousse to the ends of the remainder of the hair. This will give the hair texture and help the style hold for longer.
  5. Place two bobby pins in a criss-cross at the bottom of the hair, roll the hair up to the nape of the neck and pin in place using extra pins. If you have layers, create the Lea Michele style faux bob by leaving some curls to hang by the front of your face.
  6. Pin bobby pins throughout the hair to create texture and to secure the style.
  7. Finally, finish the style with TRESemmé Ultimate Hold Hair Spray, for 24 hour protection against frizz and flyaways.

Earlier this week One Direction delighted fans all over the world when they released their surprise new single Drag Me Down.

However, it looks like there was one Hollywood star who was certainly not feeling the 1D love.

Former Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress Eliza Dushku took to social media to vent her frustration at the lads. While staying in a hotel during filming for her new series Banshee in Pittsburgh, Eliza managed to end up being there at the same time as the band.

While we know an awful lot of people who would thrilled at the prospect of maybe running into Louis, Harry, Niall or Liam on the way to the lifts, Eliza was less than pleased. It turns out that the lads needed an entire floor of the hotel to themselves, so Eliza had to pack her bags and get moving to make some room.

In an Instagram post that showed her luggage piled up and waiting to be moved into a new room Eliza vented her frustrations at the boys:

“Don’t worry @OneDirection. It was super chill movin outta my hotel room so u can have the ENTIRE FLOOR I’ve been staying on for 2 months.” 

She doesn’t seem to happy then. Eliza made use of her hashtags to really drive home how annoyed she was too. She wrote: “#OnLocationLife #HotelWars #ActorProblems #WhatHaveYouDoneForMeLately #OneDirection Took 2 hrs this Friday afternoon before work.” 

To be fair, we don’t think anyone wants to spend their Friday afternoon waiting in hotel corridors.

Thankfully everything should be back to normal for the actress soon as the band is expected in New Jersey on August 5. We imagine there is sure to be plenty of hotel space for the boys or they might start running out of famous pals.

When a video has more than 2.5 million views online you know it’s going to be something spectacular to entertain the masses.

As it turns out, Eoghan O’Hagan from Lurgan, Co. Armagh has managed to do just that. The 17-year old’s football skills have been mesmerising people all over the world since the video was uploaded.

He managed to kick the football through the letter ‘O’ in his local Tesco. His cousin Diarmuid told the Independent.ie that it was only his second attempt at the task.

"The first one hit the letter C, before the second went through the O," Diarmuid explained. While we imagined this was something that took a little bit of practice, it turns out Eoghan just has a gift apparently.

"We were kicking the ball around in the carpark and he just went for it." As you do Eoghan, as you do.

We also think the reaction in the video is a big winner. Diarmuid certainly thought so anyway.

While the Armagh footballers bowed out of the Championship a few weeks ago, we think they might have some more fresh options to take up the jersey next year.

He'll never do that again…

We have lost count of the amount of products we see lining the shelves every day that promise us ‘fuller’, ‘thicker’ and more voluptuous hair than we could ever imagine.

To be honest, we getting a bit tired of being lied to, we just want some more volume! Short of spending hours teasing and back combing in efforts to give our hair a bit of a boost, we were running out of ideas.

 If this plight sounds familiar in the slightest then you need to read on. We found some of the best and most simple tricks to make your hair live its most volume filled life. They actually work, trust us. We would never lie to you about something this important.

Coconut Oil

The internet is going to tell you to start using coconut oil. If you have think hair, put the oils down. Lily Yip, a master stylist of NYC salon Mizu says: “Silicones and oils just become a coating on top of hair, so it’s very difficult to remove. Eventually, it weighs down your hair and you get tons of buildup and it actually makes your hair look thinner.”

Careful with the blow dryer

Over drying your hair, especially with a round brush will take the elasticity out of it and over-stretch any of your hair’s natural volume with all the pulling and dragging.

Bring back some mousse

Not the dessert kind, sorry. But using mouse the right way will allow you to embrace the volume of your hair easily. Just copy this handy little GIF.

Flip your parting

Possibly the easiest way to add volume is to flip your hair to the opposite side you normally part it on. Laziness never looked so fabulous.

Use rollers

Haven’t decided on an outfit yet? Or else do you need some extra time to get that winged eye liner even? Your hair does not have to suffer, just pop two of three rollers at the top triangle of your head when your hair is already dry. Sorted.

Dry texturising spray

This will change your whole life. You know how adding dry shampoo the night before leaves your hair bouncy and thicker the next day but with a weird grey-ish tint? Well, with this magic product you have all the benefits just minus the vintage hair hue. We're big fans.

In case you missed it this week, there was outrage around the world when Cecil the lion was shot and killed with a crossbow for sport.

The protected animal was killed following a request put in by a U.S based dentist who paid for a hunt to be arranged in order to have the animal shot and killed.

Since then, people around the world have been very vocal about their outrage, so much so that the dentist has gone into hiding. Protests were staged outside of his practice and have forced Walter Palmer into hiding.

Palmer claims his innocence despite the huge social media backlash he has faced since the news came to light. Officials in Zimbabwe, where Cecil was a hugely popular attraction for tourists, are no saying that Walter could face legal action and a prison sentence, according to CNN.

Now though, the Terminator himself has called for action against Mr Palmer and he’s calling in a favour from one Irish sports star. 

Arnold Schwarzenegger is calling on MMA fighter Conor McGreggor to defend the honour of Cecil the lion. In the past the Dublin native has spoken of his respect and love of wild animals. While in the U.S he told talk show host Conan O'Brien: 

"I’m obsessed with animals. To watch them in their natural environment is pretty spectacular.”

We can only imagine what Conor, 27, will have to say about this proposal, we'll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled that's for sure.

Guess who's back!

Irish twins, and singing sensations no less, Jedward have finally made the epic comeback that we have all been waiting for.

The hashtag #LeaveAMark has been trending in the Irish Twitter universe in recent times and we are not surprised seeing as the duo’s latest musical release is certainly giving fans something to talk about

While before we had gotten used to the hyperactive pair leaping about like Energizer bunnies after a few too many cola bottles, their new  more relaxed approach was a big change.

Their recent release Oh Hell No, a track featured on the Sharknado 3 soundtrack was more familiar but their latest offering has certainly adopted a much more relaxed and mature vibe to it.

Fans of the Lucan natives are sure to be happy the boys are back on the scene and we imagine this is probably the first of many musical ventures they have in store for us.

Their 2011 split may have come in the middle of a storm of rumours that this Irish singer was having an affair, but apparently there are no longer any hard feelings between the two.

Ronan Keating and Yvonne Connolly finalised their divorce earlier this year and the parents of Jack, Missy and Ali are clearly not at each other throats as some rumours would have had people imagine.

The Boyzone singer, 38, told the Herald that he thinks it is “great” that Yvonne has decided to change her name back to Connolly following their split.

“It’s her decision – it’s great. Good on her,” he told the paper earlier this week .

Ronan appears happy for the public to know that there is no animosity between Yvonne and he and is quite supportive of his former love.

The Celebrity Masterchef contestant is due to marry his girlfriend Stom Uechtritz in Scotland next month and according to Ronan it is set to be a huge family affair.

“All of our families are going to be there – everyone. Rather than doing it in Australia or in Ireland we said we’d go to neutral ground and meet there. It’s a very special place for us.”

The pop star did admit that it is not all picture perfect between he and the Australian TV producer saying that they don’t always “see eye to eye”.

He continued that he believes “that’s the way couples should be”, and notes that they are both “creatively minded so sometimes we can clash, but there’s nothing but love for each other there.”

Scott Disick might appear to spend the majority of his time club hopping but when it comes to the more significant events in life his separation from reality TV star partner Kourtney is hitting him hard.

The 32-year old was on hand to help friends J.J Corsini and Elizabeth Condon celebrate their nuptials last night when he found himself lamenting the single life. He posted a photograph on Instagram with the caption “when you realise the grass isn’t always greener”.

Earlier in the evening it seemed as though he was enjoying the celebrations, posting photos of himself and the groom. However, it seems like the single life is not all he had hoped for.

J.J was a friend of Kourtney and brother Rob, fans of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami may even remember him partying with the brunette beauty and sleeping over in the girl’s apartment in 2009.

She said in the episode: “JJ. is my brother Rob's best friend, who we've known for, like, our entire lives.”

The image he posted shows his ‘Scott Disick and Guest’, place holder and apparently served Scott with a reminded of how he could have been celebrating the evening; with Kourtney.

Some fans appeared to be feeling sorry for the club loving Scott writing "Breakin' my heart," while others were not so sympathetic to his plight leaving comments such as: "Should have kept it in ya pants then!"

The image also showed that the weddings guests’ tables were also decorate with photos of the happy looking newlyweds, we imagine that may have rubbed some salt into the wound…

The reason behind Kourtney and Scott’s break up has yet to be officially released.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been convicted of assaulting a paparazzo.

She scratched the photographer’s eye during the incident, which happened in Sicily six years ago.

The Londoner was handed down a six-month sentence by an Italian court on Friday – though it’s unlikely she’ll see the inside of a prison cell: the term has been suspended.

And according to The Telegraph, her lawyer has also vowed to appeal.

"We are appealing the ruling surrounding the 2009 incident," attorney Guido Carlo Alleva said in a brief statement.

Gaetano Di Giovanni was taking pictures of the model with her then-boyfriend, Russian billionaire Vladimir Doronin, in the Sicilian town of Lipari when Campbell hit him with her bag.

The outburst resulted in a scratch to Mr Di Giovanni's eye, causing him to seek medical treatment and take three days off work to recover from the injury.

Ms Campbell had been ordered to stand trial in Italy in 2013.

And while she reportedly reached a financial settlement with the photographer on condition that he withdraw the charges, the public prosecutor nevertheless proceeded with a conviction due to the severity of the incident.

Back in 1998, Naomi, who boasts a 30-year career in modelling, was ordered by a court to attend anger-management classes after striking her personal assistant with a mobile phone.

In 2008 she admitted attacking police at Heathrow in a row over lost luggage.
