Britney Spears has ditched her trademark blonde locks in favour of a much darker shade.

The Work B**ch singer shared her new look on her Instagram account and while we loved her blonde, the Baby One More Time hitmaker does make a pretty brunette.

She captioned the photo: “Spice up Valentine’s Day by getting ‘Naughty & Nice’ ((pun intended))”

We’re thinking the Instagram snap had more to do with promoting her new perfumes, Fantasy Britney Spears the Naughty Remix and Fantasy Britney Spears the Nice Remix, than her hair though.

This is not the first time the 32-year-old has gone brown and it seems February is her favourite month to change her hair colour; the mum-of-two was spotted sporting a new brunette “do” at Elton John’s star studded AIDs Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in February of last year.

We are loving the new hair, Brit – although the Toxic star can do no wrong in our eyes.

Some of the show was shot in Temple Bar recently and stars Josh Hartnett, Eva Green and Billie Piper.

This newly released featurette goes behind the scenes of the exciting series to discuss how the setting was created and all of the work that goes into a period drama such as this.

When it comes to eyebrows, not everyone can pull off the same shape. While full brows seem to be working for Cara Delevingne, it doesn’t mean they’ll do you any justice.  The key to having nice eyebrows is having the RIGHT eyebrows.

Here’s how you can play with what you have and craft luxurious and perfectly groomed brows:

  1. Make sure the start of your brows are lined with the upper bridge of your nose.
  2. Give yourself some guidelines by filling your brows in with a brow pencil before you pluck. Remember your arch should be two thirds of the way across your brow.
  3. After drawing on your brows, brush them upwards.
  4. Fill in any gaps with brow powder that’s one or two shades lighter than your natural hair color if you’re a brunette and two or three shades darker if you’re fair haired.
  5. Trim any unwanted hair and then apply a wax so that your brows will stay in place.

We probably shouldn’t be too surprised that things have taken another strange turn in the Shia LaBeouf saga, but this is a bit far.

The young actor turned up on the red carpet for the premiere of his film Nymphomaniac in Germany wearing a paper bag that read, “I am not famous anymore”.

These words have been etched on the star’s Twitter account for a while now.

During a press conference for the movie, Shia walked out mid-way through after quoting Eric Cantona’s famous line: “When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown in the sea.”

Seriously Shia, if you’re going make some sort of point at least make up your own inspirational quote.

It has been reported that the couple have once again decided to take a break after nearly a year of dating.

As they are known to be somewhat on-again-off-again, perhaps this is just a small bump in the road. The couple split for a very short time last April following three months of dating.

It has been said that their busy work schedules are to blame for the latest split.

When Matt Peterson asked Miley via YouTube to attend his school prom with him, we’re not sure he actually expected a reply.

Say what you like about Miley, but she is amazing to her fans which is evident in this video. What other star would actually recognise one of their fans in the crowd of a concert having met them only once before? Now that’s dedication. Go Miley!

In the end Miley decided not to attend Matt’s prom, but instead offered him the chance to hang out with her at her concert.

Miley wrote on her Twitter account: “Dear Matt Peterson, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to prom BUT why don’t you come to my AZ show & hang w me? Don’t forget a corsage”.

We bet he wasn’t disappointed with that!

Picking out an engagement ring can be daunting – does it suit, is it practical, will you still like it in fifty years?

You have to be careful not to pick trends over classics because trends are always changing whereas your engagement ring will be the same for many, many years to come.

We picked out a few cuts we think will never go out of fashion. Every woman is different and your engagement ring should reflect who you are – do you see your perfect ring below?

1. Radiant
Wowsa, this looks like it would weigh us down! Of course it doesn’t have to be quite so elaborate but the idea of a radiant cut is that it emits maximum sparkle potential and is designed to stand out and demand attention, perfect!

2. Baguette
Simple and subtle, this baguette cut engagement ring is classic and understated.

3. Trillion
The trillion diamond is most often seen as a side stone rather than the main solitaire. Unique and beautiful!

4. Marquise
Historically designed by King Louis XIV, this cut is striking and has a hint of vintage about it.

5. Colour
Diamonds aren’t for everybody – some girls love something a little different. Sapphires are very popular as engagement rings, especially following Kate Middleton inheritance of Princess Diana’s beautiful sapphire engagement ring. Rubies, emeralds and champagne coloured sapphires are also popular.

6. Vintage/vintage inspired
As we already said, some women prefer something different. Vintage or vintage inspired engagement rings can be beautiful and have historical significance which many people would love.

HBO have released a 15-minute trailer called “Game of Thrones Season 4: Fire and Ice Foreshadowing,” which is an exciting teaser of things to come and interviews with the cast.

Now all we have to do is remember who’s related to who, who is dead and who hates who. Hmm, maybe a Game of Thrones season 3 marathon is in order!

The beloved French (affordable) luxury skincare brand La Roche-Posay have just released another product that is bound to achieve cult-status in no time. With solutions to every skin care problem thanks to its healing French thermal spring waters, you know your skin is in good hands.

Our beauty writer, Odette, got to try out their new CC Cream and here’s what she thought:

We all suffer with a bit of skin redness from time to time, especially those of us blessed (or cursed!) with paler Celtic skin. La Roche-Posay’s newest offering, specially formulated for sensitive skin, not only evens skin tone and covers up redness but also actively helps to reduce and correct it over time.

Rosaliac CC Creme comes in a universal shade that will work with almost all fair to medium skin tones, leaving you with an even and natural finish all day. There’s enough pigment that you could easily use it as a light foundation or as a great base under your regular one. Just a little translucent powder over top and you’re good to go.

It can be built up to give light-to-medium coverage while still providing a really natural, barely-there finish. And with a lovely scent, it leaves redness-prone skin corrected and your confidence boosted. Say goodbye to the rosy “glow” we love to hate!
