A parody video fighting for gay marriage rights in Ireland has gone viral – and it’s brilliant!

Set in a world in which gay marriage has been legalized, the video highlights the fact that gay marriage is not the end of the world.

Mary and John have locked themselves up in their home following the passing of the referendum, with a scene similar to that of 28 Days Later.

However, outside, it is clear that all is well, with the message being: “Marriage equality: It’s not the end of the world, lad.”

The video was written and stars Tara Flynn and Kevin McGahern.

Really well done, guys!

With college about to start back in just a couple of weeks, and the new batch of freshers eagerly awaiting to set foot into their respective universities, here’s what you can expect in your first semester in college. Here’s 11 amazing things about starting college!

1. The beginning of your 20's
Your final years of being a teenager are upon you and your 20's are just about to begin. They say these are the best years of your life, and they’d be right! So make the most of them.

2. Really getting into your dating life
College is where everyone really explores the opposite sex and starts seriously dating. As a teenager, you haven’t the most educated perception about the opposite sex and what you are looking for in a partner. Experience is key, so don’t settle down with the first person you lay your eyes on.

3. Joining clubs and societies
Colleges have hundreds of different clubs and societies which cater for everyone’s interests, sports and hobbies. Getting involved is the best way to meet new people with similar interests as you and make new friends.

4. Playing on a college sports team
College sports have teams at varying levels in all sorts of sports, for the serious athletes to the people who are just playing for a laugh. The inter-college games are fueled with added banter and competition which everyone loves to get involved in.

5. You are your own boss
You won’t have to deal with teachers chasing you down for sick notes or asking why you haven’t completed your homework assignment anymore. You are the only person in control of you.

6. Making lifelong friends
You’ll hang onto your college friends for life. They are there through your most formative years and most of the time you’ll share the same interests, as you all chose the same college/career path on your own.

7. Day drinking on campus
You don’t have a bar on your school’s territory, but at college you’ve got at the very least, one bar where you can go and neck a cheap pint of Fosters before strolling into your lecture 20 minutes late. Or not. The choice is yours.

8. Procrastinating your way to a college degree
Procrastination seems to be born and bred in college. The key is to acutely balance your workload and procrastination levels. Too much of one thing can tip the scales and leave you with a horrid college experience, so make sure you strike a good balance between the two.

9. Studying something that you love
Unlike school, where you’re forced to study a bunch of subjects, some of which you’re inevitably going to hate, college life allows you to hone in on one specific arena which you are interested in and begin to develop your analytical skills in that area.

10. Scrounging off your parents for another few years
Students and scrounginess beautifully intertwine with one another. Students are synonymous with drinking beer and living cheaply, and damn do they do it well!

11. College nights out
College nights out are without a doubt the most insane and liveliest around. Enjoy them as much as you can because once you get a stable 9-5 job, you won’t be able to get started at 3pm on a Tuesday and head into work the next morning hangover-free.

This is truly amazing.

Just when you thought adverts couldn’t get anymore cheesy, there’s this…

The Easthills shopping mall, presumably in America (sorry, but come on…) shows off all of the great things you can buy and do there, such as buy jeans and BACKPACKS!

And please, please, don’t forget the “haaaircut.”

Of course, this brought back those glorious memories of the very first time we ever saw How I Met Your Mother's Robyn singing and dancing her way through Let's go to the Mall.

Plus, it's another excuse to play it. Again, and again, and again.

Ah, the blind date. People in relationships LOVE to fill their single friends full of wine and then trick them into agreeing to go out with ‘this guy they work with’, do they not? Here are some tips on how to get through it in one piece!

Keep your expectations low
You need to keep your expectations REALLY low, ok? Like, down in the gutter low. Well, at least in terms of your romantic prospects with this guy. The best thing is not to think of it as a date at all. It’s just a regular night out, with someone new. How fun! No? Still not convinced? Read on, so….

DO Facebook stalk them beforehand
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Facebook stalking is bad, we know. But it’s better to have SOME idea of who you’re going to meet before you walk into the bar. It’ll help you think of things to talk about as well – just look through the pages they’ve liked and try to think of some conversations in that area. Don’t try and find their ex-girlfriend though. There’s no point comparing yourself to his past!

Quiz your friend
Well, this is all their fault after all, isn’t it? The least they can do is answer a few questions. Good questions to ask include:

  • Does he get around much?
  • Can he drive?
  • How much does he love his mammy?
  • Is he a serial relationship guy?
  • Has he ever done a stint in jail?
  • Has he got road frontage? (for country guys)

Setting up the date
He’ll probably send you an awkward text introducing himself and asking where you’d like to meet. It is vital – VITAL – that you meet somewhere that doesn’t force you to spend more than like, one hour with the guy. The cinema is kind of the exception to the rule because at least you won’t have to talk to him, but if he hints at a romantic five course meal, do NOT agree.

When you’re on the date
Some basic tips for any date really:

  • Don’t get too personal
  • Don’t talk about your ex
  • Don’t leave it up to him to make all the conversation
  • Make sure to offer to pay, you don’t want him thinking you’re a cheapskate

Saying goodbye
If it went well, this will be easy. Whether or not you want to go in for a kiss is up to you, but do make it clear that you enjoyed yourself. But if you didn’t enjoy yourself, the best thing is just to thank him for his time (in a less formal way, obvs) and make no mention of meeting, or texting again. If it was that bad he’ll probably have an inkling himself anyway. Good luck!

Victoria Beckham announced the exciting launch of her clothing sale on The Outnet earlier this morning!

Yes, that’s right, for a price (ok, a major price!) you could own a piece of The Spice Girl’s wardrobe. Basically, it’s a dream come true.

The sale began this morning and continues until the 24th, with a total of 10 items from Victoria’s wardrobe up for auction.

We spied this very glam red glitter bomber jacket on the site for 1605.15 (at the time), although, it also has the name “Victoria” etched on the back in blue crystals…We assume this was the old Vicky’s style.

Also up for auction, and much to our delight, is a white minidress by Prada that Victoria wore in the Spiceworld movie – um, we don’t want that, we NEED that.

Victoria announced the launch on her Instagram account by sharing a photo of her very stylish chaps and writing: “My #VBxTheOUTNET sale for @mothers2mothers is live! Chaps anyone??? X vb.”

No, Victoria, no chaps. Please.

The clothing sale by the fashion designer is in aid of charity, mothers2mothers, which aims to “train, employ and empower mothers living with HIV to bring health and hope to other mothers, their families, and communities.”

What a great cause, well done, Victoria!

It was an institution for so many of us way back when.

Catching up with Zack, Screech and the gang was the highlight of our day.

Can you believe it’s been 25 YEARS since the first episode aired? We feel old.

But where are the gang now?

Zack Morris
Zack Morris, our teen heartthrob and forever pretend boyfriend, was played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

Mark-Paul’s biggest role since SBTB was as Detective John Clark on NYPD Blue and he currently stars as Bash in TV show, Franklin and Bash.

Mark-Paul married Lisa Ann Russell in 1996 but filed for divorce in 2010. The two have two children together, Michael Charles and Ava Lorenn. He later married Catriona McGinn in 2012 and the two have one child, Dekker.

No hope for him and Kelly then? Though they dated in real life for a while, it would appear…no.

Kelly Kapowski
Every girl wanted to be her and every guy wanted to be with her back in the ‘90s.

The side swept hair, the tie dye, the neon…sheer perfection.

Kelly was played by Tiffany Amber Thiessen who also had a lead role in Beverly Hills, 90210 as Valerie Malone.

Many people may also remember Tiffany from her role as Marti in Two Guys and a Girl.

She currently stars as Elizabeth Burke in the TV show, White Collar.

Tiffany has one daughter, Harper, with her husband of nine years, Brady Smith.

Oh, and she’s still hot.

Screech
Ah, Screech…what the hell happened?

Everyone’s favourite lovable guy is not best known for the release of his own sex tape, Screeched – Saved by the Smell. No, seriously. That’s the name.

He also directed it. Now that’s skill.

We don’t really want to talk about it.

Lisa Turtle
Lisa Turtle was played by Lark Voorhies.

Lisa had some serious style, and we wanted her closet.

After the show ended in 1994, Lark had roles in many TV shows such as The Fresh Prince and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Lark has hit the headlines for displaying some worrying behaviour, with her mum and even co-star, Dustin Diamond weighing in on her issues.

She runs her own production company, called You Soy Productions.

A.C. Slater
Probably the most well known of the gang today, Mario Lopez played AC Slater on the show and was loved for his brawn and slicked mullet. Oh yes.

Since then, he has made quite the name for himself as a TV presenter, starring on shows such as The X Factor US.

Mario was married to Courtney Mazza in 2012 and the couple have two children together, Gia and Dominic.

Jessie Spano
The no-nonsense Jessie Spano was played by Elizabeth Berkley on SBTB.

Elizabeth later made a name for herself by playing a stripper in movie, Showgirls, which got a whopping 17% on Rotten Tomates. Eek…

She has since appeared on Dancing with the Stars as well as assorted TV and film work.

Mr. Belding
Mr. Belding was everyone’s favourite principal. We can still remember how his office looks and how he sounded when he said: “Hey, hey hey, what is going on here?!”

Mr. Belding was played by Dennis Haskins who has since made some appearances on popular TV shows (like How I Met Your Mother!)

Fast food giant McDonald’s is definitely not a restaurant associated with eating well. Now though, the chain is trying to shake its ‘junk food’ image with a new approach.

The company hosted a dinner event in New York for influential foodies, bloggers and reporters recently. Guests were served dishes prepared using McDonald’s ingredients, but with a ‘fine dining’ twist.

McNuggets with sweet and sour sauce and a parsley garnish were dished up as a kung pao chicken starter. Then, a main course of slow-cooked beef and potato gnocchi made from McDonald’s French fries was served with a fruit sauce. And for dessert, the chain’s biscuit mix was used to create a pumpkin and spice ‘biznut’ – a biscuit and doughnut combo.

Hmm… it all sounds slightly weird to us, like something you might throw together after a drunken night on the tiles!

The dinner was marketed as “a transforming dining experience of ‘fast food’ to ‘good food served fast.’” The strange new dishes won’t be appearing on the McDonald’s menu, but the company has made a concerted effort in recent years to bump up its healthy options, with salads, egg whites and fruit all now available.

McDonald's is still our go-to after a night out, but we're not sure we’d want to pop in for a plate of gnocchi…

Jennifer Aniston looks amazing, like, all of the time – so it’s no wonder people have speculated about whether or not she’s gone under the knife. However, judging from her latest comments, she is definitely not a fan!

In a recent interview, the star said that she’s learned from the mistakes of her friends when it comes to cosmetic surgery:

“I think what I have been witness to is seeing women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes because I am not injecting s**t into my face.

“Honestly I see them and my heart breaks. I think ‘Oh god, if you only knew how much older you look.’ They are trying to stop the clock and all you see is an insecure person who won’t let themselves just age. Sometimes I wish I could beg the people I know, who I am very near and dear to, to not touch their face.”

Hmmm… could it be her old friend Courteney she’s referring to? She HAS admitted to being “up for anything” with regards to cosmetic procedures in the past. We doubt she’ll be too happy with Jennifer’s comments though!

Today FM’s Dave Moore took to twitter last night to announce the news that he is going to be a dad again – and this time it’s twins!

The radio presenter shared a snap of his wife’s scan, which shows that, yes, there are definitely two babies in there!

Dave already has two children with his wife Tracy Sheridan, so what’s two more really?

He’ll be kept busy over the next year with the addition to his family along with his new job in Today FM. The radio star made the move to the national broadcaster early this summer and will debut his show, with co-host Dermot Whelan, next month.

Congratulations guys, we hope you'll be investing in some hilarious twin t-shirts like these – such a wasted opportunity otherwise!

If you’re groggy in the mornings but you know you’ve been getting enough sleep, the problem may lie in your routine before and after heading to bed.

A little bit of forward planning and mindfulness could totally transform your energy levels when you wake up.

Here are some tips for ensuring you wake up ready to face the day:

1. No screen time before bed
Calming your body and mind before you sleep is the best way to ensure a good night’s rest. We’re all guilty of getting lost in a Facebook-stalking vacuum every once in a while, but try to keep your use of laptops, phones and tablets to a minimum in the hour before you head to bed.

2. Keep your bedroom cool
A room that’s too warm will have you tossing and turning all night, meaning you’ll wake up feeling like you’ve barely slept. Avoid overheating your body by leaving a window open if it’s not absolutely freezing out, and only wearing light PJs or a t-shirt to bed.

3. Prepare for the next day
Rushing around the house in the morning will leave you feeling like you need another two hours in bed. Plan your outfit and make your lunch the night before, to save on time. Running through your schedule for the next day and making a mental to-do list before you sleep will also mean you wake up prepared for the day ahead.

4. Get up straight away
Ah, the snooze button. Possibly the best and worst invention of all time. Avoid falling back into a deep sleep all over again by getting out of bed as soon as your alarm goes off. Easier said than done, we know, but your body will thank you.

5. Drink a glass of water
You might crave coffee first thing in the morning, but a glass of water is what your body really needs. Even a 2% drop in water stores can leave you feeling physically and mentally sluggish. Keep a glass of water by the bed and drink it once you wake up.
