It looks like Danny O'Donoghue has taken the whole 'new year, new me' thing a little too literally.

Clearly fed up with the tall, dark and handsome look, the Dubliner has opted to switch things up with a bleach blonde makeover just in time for The Scripts’ Freedom Child Tour starting on February 2.

The singer took Twitter earlier today to share a snap of his brand new golden locks – but not everyone was loving the new do.

“Do blondes have more fun? I guess I’m gonna find out,” he wrote.

Followers were quick to comment on Danny's choice of hairstyle with some even asking if the star was going through a mid-life crisis.

However, some fans embraced the change with one even comparing the singer to 90's cartoon icon, Johnny Bravo.

In fairness, the man could have any hairstyle and still be bloody gorgeous.

The Script head over to the UK at the beginning of February before they come back to Dublin for three gigs in the 3Arena starting from February 8.

After three years out of the limelight, X Factor winner, James Arthur, has burst back onto the music scene.

And while many are celebrating his triumphant return, it looks like not everybody is happy with the singer's latest offering.

Say You Won't Let Go, which reached number one in the UK charts, is currently embroiled in controversy as whisperings escalate that the track has more than a passing similarity to The Script's The Man Who Can't Be Moved.

According to The Sun, a publishing company for the Dublin band are currently investigating the matter in an attempt to see whether the British singer ripped off their 2008 track.

Commenting on the furore, a source close to the reality show winner revealed that the controversy is taking its toll on James.

"James has just got on the straight and narrow after a difficult few years and a lawsuit is the last thing he needs," the insider explained.

"Say You Won’t Let Go is already one of the biggest singles of the year so this is a real hammer blow," they added while acknowledging: "There is no doubt the songs sound alike and have a similar chord progression."

We're curious to see how this one pans out…

The Script have been enjoying some well-needed time off, but we'll be honest, we were missing their tracks popping up on the charts.

Well, we won't have to wait much longer as the band have announced that they're back in the studio and ready to record a new album. Hurrah!

The last album they released was nearly two years ago, back in September 2014, and it reached number one across the UK and Ireland.

Guitarist Mark Sheehan announced the great news on Instagram yesterday, with a picture of the boys setting up behind him.

Back in studio! Guitars on my mind all the time! Big love. M

Uninvited guests are generally not welcome at a wedding, but sometimes you have to make an exception.

Especially if the wedding crashers in question just so happen to be Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson and Irish singer Danny O'Donoghue.

Bride Sarah Andrews married her sweetheart Tom Lenihan on Sunday in Belfast's Culloden Hotel, where R-Patz just so happened to be staying. When guests spotted the actor roaming around, they persuaded him to pose for a few photos, and he was more than happy to oblige.

"The wedding reception was taking place downstairs, a few of the lads from the wedding had seen him and reported this back to the bride," videographer Reuben Skinner told Mashable.

The Twilight star was a good sport about the whole affair, according to wedding guest James Reid. "I plucked up the courage and went over and said he was going to get mobbed by about 20 girls, he is such a quiet guy and he was a bit taken back by it, all these girls," James told the Irish Independent.

"In fairness, he sat and got his pictures taken until the Culloden staff came and moved him on."

But the star-studded special guest list doesn't end there, as The Script's Danny was also staying in the hotel that evening ahead of a Belfast gig, and stopped to pose for some snaps too. Sound!

"We came in the main entrance and bumped into Danny from The Script. He was a really nice guy and went out and got pictures with everyone," James said.

Calvin Harris was also reportedly staying on site that evening, but sadly Tom and Sarah missed out on the celebrity hat trick.

We expect the Culloden Hotel is about to get mobbed with wedding bookings…

You may recall Karen Danczuk, 32, as the selfie queen and former wife of British MP Simon Danczuk, 48.

She basically took over social media when a string of her sexy selfies caught the attention of the public.

Apparently our own Danny O’Donoghue of The Script fame has taken notice too.

Karen and Simon split up earlier this year, but that didn’t stop the selfie enthusiast from flaunting her now famous assets for her 62,000 Twitter followers: in particular, the former councillor for the town of Lancashire  became a household name with her flair for bikini selfies.

Her peers weren’t so wild about her social media habits, with one calling her out for “cheapening” women in politics and labelling her “Westminster’s most embarrassing wife”. Ouch.

After very public split from MP husband Simon, however, things seem to looking up for the brunette.

According to the 32-year old, she’s feeling the love from a string of celeb suitors. Most interesting was what she told The Sun about 35-year old Dublin rocker Danny.

“Danny O’Donoghue from The Script got his agent to ask if I wanted to go on a date. It’s something I’m definitely considering.”

This comes not so long after rumours surfaced that Karen was having an affair with her personal trainer, Ben. Which did not go down so well with Simon, who took to Twitter to address the issue.

Despite the social media row, Karen has said of late their spilt is “very amicable”. She also again denied any rumours she and Ben had an affair in an interview with Channel 5.

Karen may not enjoy having her personal life up for debate for the masses, apparently, but she does seem to be making the most of her new single status as she took to twitter to announce she had signed up for an online dating site.

Looks like she may not need it after all with the “plenty of offers” she’s gotten from hopeful celebrities, Danny included.

While Danny hasn’t commented on the issue as of yet, we are interested to see what he makes of the situation.

We think it’s safe to say that NOBODY saw this one coming! Tulisa has sparked romance rumours after she was spotted on a beach walk with none other than The Script’s frontman Danny O’Donoghue!

The former X Factor judge is currently in Barbados with Simon Cowell and a mutual group of friends when she was spotted with the Irish heartthrob.

However, Tulisa is far from being the only girl that Danny has been linked to in recent weeks, with rumours of a romance with Linsday Lohan being denied only two days ago. The singer was also reportedly spotted cosying up to a Brazilian model named Anna de Paul who stars in The Script’s new music video.

Meanwhile, Tulisa continues to revive her career following drugs allegations that led to something of a fall back in June 2013. The case was later dismissed in June of this year. Since then, the singer has made several TV appearances, as well as filling in for Mel B on an episode of The X Factor recently.

Could this be the start of something beautiful for Tulisa and Danny…? Time will tell!
